"Yeah, I mean, Edward and I had been discussing this since a long time, so I saw that coming," I smiled.
"Oh, for God's sake..." Rosalie said, "You can't say that! You need to create a story... You need to say that you didn't see this coming, and he took you completely by surprise. "
"I agree with her," Alice said.
It's been six months since I had moved to Gevonia, and a week since Edward and I got engaged! Edward and I were soon going to make an official announcement which was going to be followed by an interview.
I was getting all the help I needed. I was making progress with each passing day, but I wasn't there yet!
I was very glad to find such nice friends in Alice and Rosalie. Yes, Rosalie! I didn't know I could ever be friends with her, but here I was!
Emmett and she started dating three months ago, and I guess I hadn't judged her correctly earlier. I guess Edward was right about her. She might have been brainwashed by her parents when she was young, but she had accepted her fate now, and she was nothing but nice towards me!
"You need to try harder, Isabella," Alice said.
"Why are you bothering my fiancée?" Edward said as he entered the room.
I smiled automatically as I heard 'fiancée'. He loved to use that word, and I equally loved to hear it from him!
"Well, your fiancée is really giving us a hard time, your majesty," Alice said, "She is giving answers without thinking! We're trying to explain to her that she needs to create stories! For God's sake, she has a major in Arts and Literature, and she still can't make stories!"
"I'm sorry!" I chuckled.
"Don't be. I think this is a good thing," he said, "People are going to love you the way you are. They will see that you are not fake. They will fall in love with your honesty."
"Edward... I know you love her, but can we do our work?" Alice said, "Mom said we should keep helping Isabella even when the staff is not helping her. We need to get her ready! It's my job!"
"I'm being serious here," he said, "Nobody is listening to me! She is good the way she is! You shouldn't try to change yourself," he said to me.
"Isabella..." Alice said, "You're going to have a mock round with Mom soon. Do you want to be ready for that or not?"
Oh my God.
I wasn't ready for that!
"I believe you all are overdoing it now," Edward said, "Listen to me, Isabella. You're doing completely fine!"
"No... Don't disturb us! Let's do another round of practice, Alice," I said.
I shouldn't take a chance!
I needed to try harder.
I wanted everyone to love me!
I wanted to be a perfect queen!
But... This was so tough!
I had a feeling I was going to fail terribly!
