Authors Notes- Hey guys, look I'm finally back with yet another Transformer Prime fanfiction. This one will be revolving around Wheeljack x Miko. Because I just love those two, and always loved their interactions in the show. And have always kind of shipped them... AND I'm rambling you didn't come here to hear me ramble. You came here to read my fic. As you can gather by now I only own the plot, everything else belongs to Hasbro. I am merely borrowing the characters for my own amusement.
Now that we got that out of the way here is the very first chapter to My Best Friends Partner. I hope you enjoy.
Chapter One.
There was just something about her. Wheeljack mused one quiet morning as he found himself in the Autobot base. Seeming lost in thought as he sat there half listening to Bulkhead discussing something or other with Arcee. He knew he should probably pay attention, after all, it might be important with the mission at hand. That being stopping the Decepticons, that is.
And yet... and yet Wheeljack's optics remained fixed on her. Someone he found his thoughts going to time and time again. Ever since she had saved his sorry skid plate from having his spark extinguished by the Insecticon Hard Shell not too long ago. And since then he had begun to see his Little Wrecker in a whole new light. Sure, he always known that Miko was someone remarkable. Hell, he had known that back when he had first arrived on Earth when the Decepticon Makeshift masqueraded as him. Hell, she had to be some kind of special for Bulkhead to want to stay on Earth.
And though he couldn't really put a finger on it. Wheeljack couldn't help but feel drawn to her. And now, it seemed his thoughts were of nothing but her. His optics narrowed as he watched the spunky little human on the mezzanine, seated on the couch drawing something in her sketchbook. Seeming off in her own little world. Wheeljack was perplexed, never in so many years had he found himself so drawn to someone. Hell, if he was being honest he always had been kind of a loner, even before he had joined the Wreckers.
And sure, he had grown close to the others of the war unit, but no one had stuck in his mind much like Miko. She was fearless, never being one to hesitate to rush into the action despite her small stature. And how on more than one occasion she had gotten through by the skin of her teeth. With the help of her guardian and Wheeljack's best and only friend. Perhaps it was fate. He mused, gnawing on his bottom lip as he continued to watch her.
"You, uh, you've staring at Miko for quite a while there, Jackie." Bulkhead's deep voice cut through his thoughts.
Turning to the green wrecker as the mech limped in his direction. It hurt Wheeljack to see his long time friend in such a state since Bulkhead's own ordeal with Hard Shell. And since then things had been a little... tense between Bulkhead and Miko. Something that brought a frown to Wheeljack's face plate.
"I, uh, was just thinking about how the two of you seemed to be..." Wheeljack trailed off. Noticing the hurt look on his long time friends faceplate as he followed Wheeljack's gaze to where Miko sat. The girl seeming unaware of them watching her.
"I think she blames herself for what happened to me." Bulkhead told him.
Wheeljack placed a servo on Bulkhead's shoulder, giving him a reassuring pat as he somehow managed to tear his gaze away from the little human. Who had long since given up drawing to play video games with Jack, while Raf looked on. Servo still on Bulkhead's shoulder.
"Oh, don't you worry," he assured Bulkhead. "I have faith you guys will be thick as thieves once again. That girl loves you with every fiber of her being."
Bulkhead took one final glance at his human best friend, before being lead away by Wheeljack. The white Autobot glancing over his shoulder, a frown on his faceplate. As for him, Wheeljack mused as Miko whooped, her victory over Jack. The raven haired boy letting out a groan as he shook his head at his friends exuberance. Well, Wheeljack mused as he disappeared down one of the bases halls. He would just have to stick around and find out a little more about the spunky little human that seemed to invade his every waking thought.
Authors Notes- And just like that here is the first chapter to His Best Friends Partner. Sorry, it not only seems short and kind of meh at first. But I assure you things will get more interesting as the story goes on. And this is Blackjack signing off, have a good day!
