POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON: INTO THE UNKNOWN
Prologue
Legendary pokemon cannot suppress Legends. Myths were recited around campfires and bedtime stories were told to children before they slept. Whispers of heroes brought into the world to save it from ancient calamities. Exemplars to be followed, paragons of goodness, yadda yadda yadda.
Humans were brought into the world through a powerful ritual.
'I'm going to be in so much trouble.'
The legend chuckled to himself as he went over the final preparations. The ritual was hard to find- he had to do more than a little digging through old books and prophecies to learn how to do it. After his diligent efforts, he was pretty sure that he understood the basics. He gleaned enough to make it work… with his own little twist.
The upside was that it should be easy to reverse if he was caught, although it probably wouldn't be necessary. None of the other legends suspected that he was thinking about stealing a human's soul for a few weeks. Why would they? As far as they were aware, there wasn't any need for it. This kind of thing was usually discussed and planned in the highest councils of the legends, mostly because they loved talking.
But all that was necessary was an immense amount of power and a way to pull on a human's soul. Easy!
The legend paced through his hidden temple, checking over his notes. He had the power, knew where to direct it, how to attach the soul to a pokemon, and even had his recipient pokemon ready. A perfect choice, if he said so himself. As for the human…
The human didn't really matter. Probably someone young, so that they would be impressionable. One who looked like they dreamed of going on grand adventures in a strange land, wouldn't mind being stuck in the body of a fox for a while, and didn't have overt attachments to their current world.
Hmm… Eh, that one will do.
Anyone who wears such a weird haircut, and such dull, monochrome colors deserves to have their life shaken up a bit.
