Hey everyone! It took me a little longer than usual to upload a new chapter, but now i have delivered! Neo, Ruby and Oscar had finally arrived at the town where Haven was situated. The evacuation was already complete, now all they had to do was wait for midnight to come rolling around. The trio sat down in the Haven cafeteria and just sat in silence.
Oscar: So… Neo, I've heard you used to be mute?
Neo: My parents abused me, eventually all my screams and cries were too much, since then i've lost my voice. When Roman found me, he had the money for a vocal surgery, but he ended up forcing the surgeon to do it free of charge.
Oscar: And then you became a criminal?
Neo: He was always there for me, I knew if I wanted to stick with him, I would have to go down the same path.
Ruby: How did you get your weapon?
Neo: Well… When I mastered hand to hand combat, he showed me to an armoury full of weapons of any kind. Guns, swords, he had it all, the one that intrigued me the most, was a pink umbrella. He explained how it worked and I got the hang of it really quickly!
Ruby: That's nice.
Oscar: How about you Ruby? How did you get your weapon?
Ruby: Well my uncle Qrow taught at my previous school, there they allowed us to make our own custom weapons. I created a scythe with a sniper rifle built into it.
Oscar: That's cool, all I have is this cane Ozpin gave me…
Ruby and Neo gave out a chuckle after hearing that. Oscar was not amused by this but was alarmed after hearing multiple screeches. The invasion, had just begun.
The three went outside to find and onslaught of Grimm both in the air and on the ground. There was a mixture of Lokhusts, Dweevils and other normal Grimm. Neo and Ruby could also hear the sounds of multiple Titan Dweevils.
Neo: I don't think we can fend off that many Grimm.
Ruby: We have to try! If we don't, we came here for nothing!
The three split up to take down more Grimm. Ruby ended up fighting Beowolves while Neo fended off a horde of Dweevils. Oscar meanwhile was struggling to fight an Ursa. Ruby, Neo and Oscar all tried their best to hold off the Grimm but The Beowolves were aided by Lokhusts and Griffons causing Ruby to retreat to recover, The Dweevils wouldn't stop multiplying causing Neo to Retreat alongside Ruby. Oscar had found out that there was a blade inside Ozpin's cane and slayed the Ursa, only to be knocked back by an Ursa Major into a corner. Neo was soon met face to face with an Alpha Griffon, she would soon join Roman. She braced for impact as she closed her eyes, waiting for the Grimm to attack but it didn't. Neo opened her eyes only to see the Griffon turning to dust. She looked at it noticing a sword stuck inside it's stomach that was now visible. Once the Grimm completely turned to dust, Neo was met with a blonde boy she recognised from Beacon in her time undercover there.
?: Need a hand?
Neo nodded as the Boy helped her up. Ruby came rushing towards them as she greeted the boy.
Ruby: Jaune! When did you get here? How did you get here? How did you know how to find us?
Jaune: a few days ago my scroll started beeping, I turned it on and found there was a signal pointing towards Haven. We knew it had to be you so we followed it.
Ruby: We?
Ruby looked over at the Grimm body pile that had randomly appeared and saw Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren in front of the dead body pile.
Neo: The good luck charm Chris gave us! It must have been a tracker!
An explosion was heard from above, they all looked up to find a semi-frozen Nevermore falling to the ground. On top of it was Ruby's former teammates Weiss Schnee and her sister, Yang Xiao Long. She was beaming with joy at the mere sight of them but lost most of it when she noticed Yang staring angrily at something… or rather, someone. Yang lunged at Neo as Ruby used Crescent Rose to deflect her attack.
Ruby: YANG NO!
Yang: Ruby, do you not see who you are protecting?
Ruby: I am protecting my Girlfriend!
The whole group went silent, anyone who had just arrived were shocked at Ruby's comment.
Ruby: I know what she did in the past but she has changed! I promise I will explain everything but for now we have more pressing matters!
Weiss: Ruby is right, we have an onslaught of Grimm on the way, we need to take them down!
As if there wasn't enough Chaos, The White Fang began to storm the premises, Cinder was near.
Ruby: Jaune, Nora and Ren, you guys take down the Grimm, the Big spiders are strong but all you need to do is break their dust crystals.
Team Junior (JNR) all left as Ruby continued.
Ruby: Weiss, Yang and Oscar, you guys will take care of the White Fang.
Weiss: Who's Oscar?
Oscar: The guy who was listening to the whole conversation the whole time.
Yang: Isn't that..?
Ruby: Yes, again, I'll explain everything later just go!
The three went off and Neo looked at Ruby.
Neo: What about us?
Ruby: We help the others until Cinder shows herself.

The tables had been turned, with their friends but even now, the Grimm were too many. They would need a lot more help. Cinder and her two main henchman, Emerald and Mercury had also showed to the battle and were seen fighting Qrow and Chris. Neo shattered to glass and reappeared rushing towards Cinder.
Ruby: NEO NOOOOO!
Cinder fireballed Neo causing Neo to collapse to the floor with low aura.
Cinder: Foolish girl, think twice before you betray someone like me.
Chris was laughing as Mercury held him in place.
Cinder: oh for the love of… WILL YOU CUT THAT OUT!
Chris: Oh I'm sorry *coughs up blood* I never realised how gullible you were.
Cinder: I'LL SHOW YOU GULLIBLE YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!
Chris was punched by mercury causing him to cough even more blood. Cinder turned to Neo, conjured a fire sword and stabbed Neo the same way she stabbed Pyrrha. Except for the fact that Neo shattered to glass.
Cinder: Oh… right.
Neo was now staring at Cinder, until she noticed something happening to her. Glass shards ran down her body and to the ground. They created waves like when a drop of water landed in a puddle. The waves pulsed and began to form multiple clones of Neo. Neo's semblance had evolved.
Cinder: What?! How is that possible? No matter, Emerald, kill her.
Emerald stood where she was.
Cinder: Emerald I said Kill her!
Emerald said nothing but rather shot Mercury, allowing Chris to use his aura healing potion on himself and kick Cinder so hard that she went flying. He then turned to Emerald preparing to do the same he did to Cinder.
Neo: Stop!
Chris: Why?
Neo: She's like me, a rebel.
Chris nodded and dashed off with what looked to be a new weapon, A black and purple scythe. More white fang showed up along with Adam Taurus.
Ruby: Neo! Are alright?
Neo: Yeah, just a few scratches.
Neo looked past Ruby and saw a giant fire ball incoming, Neo did the only reasonable thing, push Ruby out of the way and take the fire ball herself.
Ruby: NEO!
Cinder: I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!
Emerald: I'll take care of her, go and deal with Cinder!
Ruby walked towards Cinder, preparing for the worst.
Cinder: You may have killed torchwick and gotten not only Neo but Emerald on your side, but I have many allies, even if you kill me, MY LEGASY WILL LIVE ON!
Ruby: That's where you're wrong, Cinder.
Flashback:
Chris: I will create a clone of myself to aid you in the battle of Haven. I need to have a word with Cinder's immortal boss.
Ruby: How can you defeat her if she's literally Immortal though?
Chris: I can't defeat her, but I can imprison her to ensure she never intervenes with remnant again. But I will need something from you.
Ruby: Which is?
Chris: The staff of creation Which is located in atlas.
Ruby: Ok, I think I can do that.
Chris: Just know this, Cinder will throw everything she has at you, so I suggest to proceed with caution.
Ruby dashed for Cinder, knocking her back. Ruby took advantage of their distance and used her scythe's rifle to do more damage to Cinder's aura. At this point, Cinder's aura had reached halfway, but Cinder had a plan. Using her Grimm arm, she extended it towards Neo, bringing the now unconscious Neo towards her. She then summoned a fire knife and held it to her throat.
Cinder: Not another step!
Ruby Froze in place, she was unsure of what to do.
Cinder: Put down your weapon and she lived, if not, I assume you can guess what will happen.
Ruby did as she was told and carefully laid crescent rose on the floor.
Cinder: Good girl. Now kneel before me.
Ruby knelt and looked up at Cinder. Cinder then proceeded to stab Neo in the throat and dropped her to the floor.
Ruby: NOOOOOO!
Ruby's eyes began to light up like at beacon, it was at that moment that Cinder realised what she had done and what was about to happen. Cinder had just screwed herself over.
After Ruby used her silver eyes, Cinder was nowhere to be seen, all that was left of her was a piece of cloth. Ruby fell unconscious to the floor, knowing she did what she could.
The others were still dealing with the Grimm and the White Fang, Adam Taurus was fighting Yang while Weiss and Oscar were dealing with the thugs.
Yang was struggling, Adam seemed to be stronger than Neo, Yang eventually ran out of aura to protect her from harm. Adam was about to do much more than cutting off her arm. But of course, before he could do anything, someone blocked his attack. (As if there aren't enough new characters added in this chapter, I know).
Blake: Get away from her!
Blake pushed Adam away from Yang, and charged at him. Adam blocked her blade and proceeded to flank her. Blake used her semblance to make an ice version (pun not intended) of herself to weaken Adam. Emerald who was watching the fight happen shot her weapons at Adam to help Blake out.
Blake: Thanks, but if I were you, I'd check on he two on the floor over there *points at Ruby and Neo*.
Emerald nodded and rushed off, Jaune also went there to use his semblance to heal them up. Blake continued to fight Adam, their blades clashing multiple times. Yang eventually woke up, saw Blake and got up. Then she charged up her weapons and dashed straight at Adam, knocking him out cold.
Blake: Thanks.
Yang: You're welcome.
Blake: Shouldn't we talk?
Yang: Later, we have Grimm and White Fang to deal with.
Jaune arrived at Neo and Ruby, Ruby was partially awake and struggled to speak.
Ruby: Jaune… help Neo… she needs… it more… than me…
Jaune: got it.
Jaune proceeded to help Neo, she was damaged really badly but was making a decently paced recovery. Neo's cut was completely patched up as she woke up. Neo wanted to thank Jaune for helping her but nothing came out.
Jaune: Are you alright?
Neo tried to speak again but failed to let out a voice.
Neo's thoughts: No, not again, please no…
Jaune: Uh, weren't you able to talk before?
Neo nodded since it was the only thing she could really do.
Jaune: Cinder must have hit your vocal cords. I'm really sorry, my semblance heals aura so your vocal cords aren't really affected.
Neo began to tear up, she didn't want to go through with this again.
Eventually the Grimm horde was completely gone and the White Fang members either retreated or got arrested. Adam was killed for assaulting a police officer and Mercury had left the battle. Haven was now safe. Ruby had taken a while to explain everything about how she met Neo and the two developed into a relationship, leaving out the more private moments. Blake had also told everyone where she was, though her story was way shorter than Ruby's. Neo had lost her voice again and was now forced to use a scroll for speech.
Ruby: Neo, I promise you that we will give you a surgery once we find somewhere that does it.
Neo: [I believe you]
Yang: Yeah, I'm sorry for trying to kill you earlier.
Neo: [no worries, I probably would have done the same in your place]
Chris: Well then, I'm afraid my time is almost up. Remember Ruby, get to Atlas, find the staff, Imprison Salam. I can hold her in place, but not forever.
Blake: How much time do you have?
Chris: About 4 months, for now rest and celebrate your victory, I will see you all in the future, Hopefully.
And with that, Chris shattered into Glass shards like how Neo does.
Ruby: So… now what?
Jaune: It's your call Ruby, I'd say you're better off leading our whole group than me or someone else.
Ruby looked around as everyone waited for her orders. Ruby looked at Neo who smiled at her. Ruby then, with a smile decided to do what Chris had told them.
Ruby: Let's rest and celebrate our victory!
