Tsuru arrives to Minion Island and discovers the aftermath of Luffy's actions, and Luffy sees the bounty hunters' ship and learns a bit about one of the people she decided to take pity on...

When Tsuru arrived at Minion Island, she and her squad marched directly towards the courtyard in the center of the ghost town. Based on where she had seen Doflamingo and Luffy fight in the air, they had likely been above that area.

She noted G-5 in the process of arresting the Barrels pirates that had been scattered outside what she presumed was their hideout, while some members were assessing a bloody pile on the ground.

She walked over and asked, "What happened here?"

One of the soldiers turned towards her and saluted her, stating, "It's Diez Barrels, Vice Admiral! It seems Doflamingo had done away with him before we had the chance to get here."

Tsuru looked at the cut up body and cringed as the sight of Barrels' bloody face, where she muttered, "See what deserting us had gotten you, Diez? You were always such an arrogant fool."

She looked towards the direction of the courtyard and asked, "Did you send any soldiers in this direction?"

"No, ma'am, we figured it best to leave that to you," the soldier replied.

Tsuru nodded, "Good" and continued her way.

She wondered what sort of scene she'd come upon when she arrived. Would Luffy be celebrating how she defeated Doflamingo? Would she be in tears because she killed someone? Tsuru had never met the girl before so she couldn't guess how she'd be. The woman began to think of what words to say to her once she found her. Words of praise and maybe caution in case Luffy was proud, which was expected since she was Garp's granddaughter. Words of comfort in case Luffy was distraught and horrified, which would mean Garp's boldness had finally skipped a generation.

However, when she got to the courtyard, she found this scene instead: several of the Donquixote family incapacitated and bound in sea prism chains, lying on the ground, one of whom seemed to be partially burned; a man in a Marine uniform lying face down in the snow at the center of the area, who Tsuru guessed was Vergo; and four headless bodies lying near it, one of whom was none other than Doflamingo.

Tsuru's brows rose, "Dear god, what happened here?!"

One of the Donquixote family, the woman she believed was named Giolla, looked over at the Marine woman and shouted, "Monkey D Luffy happened, that's what!"

Tsuru frowned, "What? You mean she did all this? She killed Vergo, Doflamingo and his three executives?!"

"She killed the young master and Vergo! That Luffy is a menace! I never thought a child could be capable of such brutality!" Giolla shouted. "As for Pica, Diamante and Trebol, they were done in by some other monsters! Bounty hunters!"

Tsuru thought to herself, "So Luffy had killed Vergo as well. Incredible. And bounty hunters do usually take the heads of their targets as proof of the kill, so I should've figured some would be involved. I guess I should be relieved that the executives' deaths weren't her doing…"

She looked over the restrained pirates for a moment, before furrowing her brow, "Hold on…are two of you missing? I could've sworn there was an young girl and a greasy-haired man in your group."

"There were!" Buffalo shouted. "But Luffy told those bounty hunters to take them! We don't know why, since they're not even worth much…"

Tsuru frowned. That was worth looking into. Why would Luffy want to take them away?

"If you're here to arrest us, get it over with, with a G!" Lao G begged. "Before Luffy comes back and kills us."

"And please check to be sure little Dellinger is okay!" Giolla added. "We left him alone on the ship!"

Tsuru sighed, "Leaving a toddler along on a ship? How irresponsible. I guess I'd better hope he hadn't hurt himself…So, where's Luffy now?"

"She went off with the bounty hunters, along with Law, Corazon and that Diez kid!" Giolla answered.

Tsuru frowned, "Well, that could be a problem for me…"

At the far side of Minion Island, close to the area where Luffy had been dropped off by Thora, Luffy and her friends were standing on the shore looking up at a LARGE sailing ship that was probably about as big as the Moby Dick! It was made of solid dark wood and had large white sails. A flag flew from above the crow's nest, which was colored white and had a treble clef and a few music notes printed on it. Engraved on the front side of the ship in gold were the words "SEVEN SEAS SYMPHONY", which glittered in the moonlight.

Drake did a low whistle, "That's a big ship."

Arie laughed, "Well, it has to be given how many people we have in our troupe. We need a big cast to appeal to the crowds."

Luffy's brows rose, "A cast? Wait, are you guys like a traveling circus or something?" Buggy and his crew immediately came to her mind.

Beast rolled his eyes, "The kind of entertainment we provide is far superior to anything a circus can do."

Lloyd then pointed at Floyd and Nightshade, where he remarked, "At least until these two idiots go onstage" prompting the two to snap, "HEY!"

Corazon looked up at Dom and asked, "And you have room for us on this ship?"

"But of course!" Dom confirmed. "We need extra rooms in case we recruit any new talent at any point in the future."

"It's been a while since we've had new blood, though," Arlo stated. He looked down at Luffy and smiled, "If you have talents aside from murdering pirates, let me know and I'll figure out a talent slot for you, Luffy-girl."

Luffy furrowed her brow, thinking over the offer. She'd obviously have to say no, since she couldn't be a pirate if she was living with bounty hunters, but it made her think about what kind of entertainment talents she had. Making up songs on the spot came to her mind easily, not to mention singing sea shanties, like Bink's Brew. She could also pull off some slapstick comedy, if she had the chance.

Law then asked, snapping her out of her thoughts, "It sounds too quiet aboard. Is nobody here?"

Before any of the bounty hunters could answer, a woman's voice called out, "Hellooo! Captain Grimshaw! We got a pretty good haul!"

Luffy looked over and her eyes got wide at the sight of a squad of clowns approaching the ship. Many of them carried crates, barrels and bags, likely full of treasure and supplies, no doubt looted from somewhere in the ghost town.

Arlo nodded, "I can see that. Find anything rare? Like devil fruits or treasure?"

"Oh yeah!" the woman's voice replied, which Luffy soon picked out to be a clown woman with long pink hair pulled into a pair of pigtails and had a round red nose like Buggy's. "We found two devil fruits and a LOT of shiny stuff! Plus, we found this little ankle biter hiding below deck!"

Luffy furrowed her brow. Ankle biter? Who was she talking about?

The clown woman motioned at a larger clown man, who was holding a chest that seemed to have something thrashing around inside. He set it on the ground and lifted open the lid, where immediately, a small blond child hopped out, screaming, "LEMME GO! LEMME GO! HELP ME, JOLA!"

Luffy's brows rose, thinking, "Oh crap, Dellinger! I forgot about him!"

Dellinger ran away from the chest and looked at his surroundings, checking where he was. As soon as he spotted Corazon, he ran up to the tall man and clung to his leg. "I WANT JOLA! I WANT JOLA!" he cried, tears springing from his eyes.

Corazon winced, "Okay, I nearly forgot about Dellinger..."

Dellinger's eye's widened, "Cora talks!" he gasped.

Dom leaned down and grabbed Dellinger by the back of his shirt, where she pulled him off Corazon's leg and lifted him up closer to her face. "Well, aren't you a curious thing? Is that shark fin real?"

Law nodded, "Yeah, Dellinger's half fishman. Fighting fish, I think."

"Ooh! How rare! And is he Doflamingo's son?"

"Nah, I think the family found him abandoned in the trash."

Dellinger glared at Dom and began thrashing around in her grasp, crying, "Put me down! Put me down! I want Jola!"

Dom furrowed her brow, "Vocal child, isn't he?"

"Well, considering he was abducted by the gang of clowns, I don't blame him," Corazon said.

Dom shrugged and looked down at the clown woman, "Jingles, go find Olga. I feel like she'd be more willing to deal with this thing."

Jingles nodded, "Yes, Professor Cutter!" and quickly ran up the gangplank.

"Please…don't hurt Dellinger…"

Luffy looked at Dom's other hand, where she had a firm grip on Baby 5's arm. The girl seemed tired from trying to fight Dom the whole trip from the courtyard, and maybe from the effects of Dom's sea prism body on her. Luffy was amazed she was still conscious.

Dom smiled down at her, "Don't worry, dear, I wouldn't dream of it."

Beast bared his teeth as he looked up at Dellinger, where he snarled, "If that brat doesn't shut up, I'll be tempted…"

"You'd beat up a child just for being scared? And they say pirates are despicable people…"

Luffy looked at Beast's hand where Senor Pink was being held by his throat. He looked exhausted too, but maybe that's because he had a hard time breathing…

"Do you have to hold Senor Pink like that?" she asked.

Beast scoffed, "If I don't, he'll try to fight me off and slip away. I'd prefer my catches to not have easy exits. I'll release him once we get far enough away from the island."

Senor Pink slowly turned his head to look at Luffy, where he asked, "Why'd you ask to have us taken anyway? What could you gain from us?"

Baby 5 furrowed her brow, "Do you think that we'll be useful to your future pirate crew?"

Luffy looked at each of them before answering, "No. I don't want either of you in my pirate crew."

Senor Pink sighed, "That's a relief…" while Baby 5 begged, "You don't need me? Are you sure? My Arms-Arms fruit is very powerful!"

Luffy looked at Baby 5 and said, "I don't need you, but you need help! I can tell that deep down, you're capable of being a good person, and way too good to be a criminal! You shouldn't have ended up with the Donquixote family in the first place!"

Baby 5 frowned, "How do you know that? I've only known you for less than an hour! And how do you know what I need? I may not have been leading the perfect life, but at least the young master needed me! I felt useful in the Donquixote family, and that's all I've ever wanted to be!"

Dom furrowed her brow, "Really? That's all? And why's that, dear?"

Baby 5 looked down at the ground, biting her lip, and stayed silent for a moment, before asking, "Why do you care?"

"Nobody has such a strong compulsion to be useful unless they've priorly led a life where they weren't seen as such," Dom stated. "You must've come from a very harsh environment, right?"

After another minute, Baby 5 looked up with tears forming in her eyes, "I came from a very poor village. Food was very hard to come by and everyone had to pull their weight to survive. They usually tried to avoid having children to prevent food shortage, but my mother had me, and everyone was angry about my existence. When I was little, my mother abandoned me in the mountains to die, telling me that nobody needed a useless child hanging around."

Luffy winced. She hadn't known that much about Baby 5's past in her old timeline. It's no wonder she was the way she was. If Luffy was told she was useless enough, she'd probably be compelled to be overly helpful too.

Arie frowned, "Well, that's not right. I'm sure there was some way you could've been helpful in the village when you were younger. With your small size, you could probably search for food in small spaces nobody would be able to get into!"

Nightshade grinned, "Yeah! Like grubs and mushrooms inside narrow tree trunks!"

Baby 5 grimaced, but replied, "Yeah, I guess…"

Beast clicked his tongue, "If your mother didn't want to have a baby, she should've attempted a miscarriage and hope to live. And if the village didn't want you around that badly, they could've taken the quick route and killed you. At least, that's what I would've done."

Everyone stared at the sharp-toothed hunter wide-eyed, while Dom snapped, "WAGNER!"

Floyd motioned his hands at Luffy and Law, shouting, "Really, father!? In front of children!?"

"What?! I'm not wrong!" Beast snarled. "Try to tell me I'm wrong, brat!"

Nightshade then smirked, "You know, Sharkmouth's right! If the village had killed Baby 5, they could've had meat to eat!"

Luffy grimaced, "Please don't ruin meat for me. I live on that…"

"NIGHTSHADE!" Arlo shouted, kicking his grandson in the back, knocking the boy down. "YOU SHUT UP, BOY!"

"ALSO, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING SHARKMOUTH, BRAT?!" Beast roared, stomping his foot in the center of Nightshade's back.

Corazon threw his hands out, shouting, "WHOA! There's no need to be violent with him! He was just making a joke…right?"

Nightshade lifted up his head and mumbled, "Maybe", before standing up and dusting the snow off his body.

Drake frowned at the Arlo and Beast, "Are you usually that rough with him?"

Arlo lifted one of his gauntlet arms, "I could've been worse, boy. I normally use my bare hands to discipline this kid, but when I have these on, my feet are my next tool."

Lloyd leaned over towards Drake and muttered, "Don't worry. He's not beaten on a daily basis, if that's what you're worried about. We only strike Nightshade when he does or says something EXTREMELY out of line."

Drake winced, but nodded, "Right…"

Dom sighed, before looking down at Baby 5, "Baby 5, was it? Just because people have told you that you're useless doesn't mean that you actually are. They were probably just frustrated with their living situation and thought getting rid of you was the best solution."

Baby 5 sniffed, "I know, but I still don't like feeling useless. It makes me feel like I don't deserve to be around anyone if I'm not helping with something."

Dom smirked, "Well, if you really want to help people, how about you take on a job that's more positive? Like say…the entertainment industry?"

Luffy frowned, "What's helpful about that?"

Arie smiled, "She could help out backstage with props and costumes, or she could help manage the ticket sales, or she could perform onstage herself and make people happy. There's a lot to be done in the Seven Seas Symphony."

Baby 5 frowned, "You'd really let a pirate join your group? But I did bad things…"

Luffy smiled, "You could use this to redeem yourself. These seem like good people to be around. A lot better than the Donquixote family!" She looked up at Arlo and asked, "Will that be okay, Mr. Grimshaw?"

Arlo shrugged, "If she wants to join us, she can, but it's up to her if she really wants to. I don't want to force the girl, since, I imagine, we're not supposed to enable her obsession with being helpful. Right, Dom?"

Dom nodded, "Yes, and if she has no desire to be involved with the troupe, we could find a place for her to stay and call home."

Beast groaned, "Great, another brat to deal with. Just what out troupe needs."

Baby 5 looked at the bounty hunters warily, then glanced at Dellinger and Senor Pink, where she asked, "What about Dellinger and Senor? Will you let them join too or hurt them?"

"No, dear, we won't hurt them," Dom said. "Dellinger's only a runt. What trouble could he cause us? In fact, we have a friend on the ship who could look after him!"

Beast lifted up Senor Pink and said, "As for this one…we'll do whatever Luffy wants us to do with him. What is that, anyway?"

Luffy furrowed her brow, "Uh, I'll tell you once we're on the ship." She looked back at Baby 5 and asked, "So, what do you want to do?"

Baby 5 furrowed her brow, "I don't know…maybe I'll think about it."

Arlo shrugged, "No problem. You'll have plenty of time to think, girl. Say, what's your actual name anyway? Baby 5 is just a codename, right?"

Baby 5 winced, "Uh, it's kind of is my actual name. It's what everyone in the village called me. I don't remember if my mother even actually called me a name…"

Luffy's brows rose, "Your name is actually Baby 5? Wait, as in you were the FIFTH baby born in that village?"

Baby 5 shrugged, "Probably."

Law frowned, "Man, that sucks. And it's stupid. Who names a kid 'Baby 5'? It's like if a dog had a litter of puppies and you just named them Puppy One, Puppy Two and so on."

Drake winced, "Well, you could name puppies that, but people will see it as kind of lazy to do it that way."

Beast shrugged, "Well, some people aren't in the mood to get creative when it comes to naming things they'd rather have nothing to do with. If Samuel didn't have the names of our kids already picked out, I probably would've called them Thing One and Thing Two."

Floyd groaned while Lloyd rolled his eyes, "How thoughtful of you, father..."

Mituna furrowed her brow, looking up at her mother, "Don't people name their kids after numbers sometimes, mom? Like the names Ichi, Sechs and Cero?"

"Well, naming your kids that way is fine, because those numbers are in other languages, but if it's straight up Baby 5, then is just inane," Dom told her, before looking back at Baby 5. "Perhaps I can figure out a new name for you."

Beast scoffed, "You're going to give her a new name? Seriously? She's a human, not a pet, Dom."

"She can't go around being called Baby 5 all her life, Beastie!"

"I know, but that's not the point!"

As the adults bantered, Jingles returned from the ship, being followed by an octopus merwoman. She had dark purple tentacles and wore a shiny black halter top. Her black hair was pulled back into a tight bun, and she wore sea foam eyeshadow and blue lipstick.

She looked up at Dellinger in Dom's grasp and asked, "It that the little boy Jingles told me about?"

Dom nodded and lowered him down towards the merwoman, "Yes. He's being pretty vocal about his displeasure in being torn away from his 'family'."

The woman nodded and took Dellinger into her arms, prompting the boy to stop his fuss and stare at her wide-eyed. She smiled at him and said, "Hello, little shark! I'm Olga. I'm an octopus mermaid! I sing in the Seven Seas Symphony. Would you like to hear me sing?"

Beast winced, "Oh fuck, glasses off your faces now!"

Luffy grabbed Senor Pink's shades while Lloyd removed his own sunglasses.

Olga took a deep breath and sang out the most operatic high note Luffy had ever heard! (She could've been wrong, but she was sure her bones vibrated slightly!) Immediately, there were a few small popping noises, prompting her to look down at Senor Pink's shades to see the lenses had shattered! She looked at Lloyd's glasses to see they had suffered the same fate, prompting the teenager to groan, "Great. Now I need to dig out my spares…"

Everyone else within her range shuddered at the loud sound, and prompting rubbed at their ears, many mumbling about their ears ringing.

Luffy looked up at Olga and exclaimed, "You have a powerful voice, lady!"

Olga laughed, "Yes, so I've told! That's why the windows on our ship are made of plexiglass and not normal glass." Dellinger seemed a little stunned by her voice for a moment, but when he noticed everyone else's reactions, he began laughing and saying, "Again! Again!"

"No, not again," Beast growled, using his free hand to rub one of his ears. "That woman's voice gives me a headache!"

Dom chuckled, "Ohhohohoho! If you hate her singing so much, Beastie, maybe you ought to leave the troupe."

Beast rolled his eyes, "Not if Samuel's planning on sticking around. Let's just get aboard so we can set sail."

Arlo looked up at Corazon and stated, "We'll sail to Swallow Island and settle in for the night once we dock. That'll be enough time for you lot to recover from tonight, yeah, mon?"

Corazon nodded, "Yeah, more than enough time to recover. I think we're all tired, right, guys?"

Luffy, finally feeling fatigue run through her body and her eyelids grow heavy, yawned, "Yeah, really tired…"

Drake rubbed his eyes, "I think we've been up all night. I'm a little hungry too, since my father didn't let me have any of the food."

Luffy's stomach then growled, and some sort of hunger-based adrenaline began to course through her veins. "Me too! You got any food?"

Umi chuckled in her head, "Well, I see THAT part of your personality hasn't changed!"

For those of you who were a little worried about Dellinger being forgotten on the Donquixote family's pirate ship, worry no more! He's here!

And it crossed my mind that Luffy probably hadn't eaten a proper meal over the last few days, and after all she's done, she deserves food.

What else will transpire when Luffy's on the Seven Seas Symphony ship?

I hope to expand more on the other OCs I have in the troupe in the next chapter, since so far, all you've seen were Dom, Beast and Arlo, who are each pretty distinct in personality.
