It had been over two months. Holly had told Ethan she was going to help him then went radio silent. He knew she was heartbroken over how things went with Robert, devestated in fact. She always tried to be so strong but she could barely make a coherent sentence last time they spoke. Ethan encouraged her to go back, she gave up enough for him. Just be happy but she refused. Then nothing. Ethan had tried to follow any leads himself but was getting nowhere. He finally did what he knew he should have from the start.

"Scorpio." A disheveled Robert answered the phone.

"Robert it's Ethan. Have you heard from my mum?" Ethan had hoped he would say yes. That Holly would have taken his advice but he knew that was wishful thinking.

"Not since she left to help you." Concern crept in, Holly had been so set on going there is no way she wouldn't have shown. "Ethan when did you last hear from her?"

"The night you said goodbye. She was dev...she was determined. I encouraged her to go back to you but she felt your life would be better without her." Holly had let that slip to Ethan. He knew it was far from the truth but wanted to hear it from Robert.

"Damn it! When is she going to get that she is my life?" Robert asked Ethan. The two had an ease, a bond that like with his mother it was easy to open up to him.

Ethan smiled, Robert hadn't let him down. "You know better than anyone how stubborn she is."

Robert took a moment. Thinking over just how stubborn Holly was. A smile appeared on his face. "You got that right." The smile was quickly replaced with concern. "Where are you? We're going to find her."

Hearing Robert say that made Ethan hopeful. "I'm on the next flight there. Please just do whatever you can to help her Robert, she has given up so much for me."

"You don't have to ask. You know I love your mother and nothing can ever change that. I'll see what I can find out. Be safe and call me as soon as you land." Robert practically ordered Ethan.

"You got it...thanks." Ethan was grateful for that other person who thought the world of Holly.

"I love her and I love you. We're family, it's what we do." Robert reminded Ethan. He got that spark back he had been missing for months.

Ethan heard those words and it hit him harder than it usually would. Probably because of the situation they found themselves in. "Take care of yourself, mother would have wanted that."

"None of that." Robert told him, he refused to let anyone talk about Holly in past tense. "We will find her."

Ethan felt relief rush through him. "I love you." Ethan said before they ended the call. Robert immediately contacted Felicia.
