Club 23 - Chapter I - The Introduction
"Alright…are we rolling…good", Flynn says as he sets his camera ready for vlogging
"What is up, good people of Disney High, this is the great…the magnificent…The one and only, Flynn Rider!" said obnoxiously
" 'Great and Magnificent'…. yeah, that's only in your dreams, bud", says Aladdin who was walking alongside Phoebus who shook his head yes
"Come on guys, really", said Flynn slightly irritated
"Hey, we're just trying to bring you down to reality a little bit", said Phoebus standing next to Flynn
Those are my two friends, Aladdin and Phoebus, this trio of misfits has been together since elementary, and ever since then we practically have new and exciting adventures every single day
"Um…who are you talking to?", said Phoebus
"My viewers, isn't it obvious"
"Really, cause it looks like you were crouching down to the ground and filming it", said Esmeralda who chimed in on the guy's conversation and had a light chuckle at their friend's expense
"Esme, long time no see", said Phoebus
"Phoebus, our group literally saw a movie at the El Capitan this weekend"
Phoebus, slightly embarrassed, says "Oh right…" Esmeralda chuckles a little and walks away
That's Esmeralda, she joined us around the time when we got to middle school, in fact, that is when we met most of the members of the group we have today. And in case you missed that interaction, my guy Phoebus has been developing a little crush on her, I mean who can blame him! Those green eyes…woah I'm getting off track, she's an amazing dancer, singer, and magician.
"Um…Phoebs, you okay?" says Aladdin who looks at Phoebus staring into space, which actually he was looking at Esmeralda and Naveen laughing, hugging, and holding hands
"Ali, do you know if they're friends with benefits…right," says Phoebus to Aladdin pretending to see the two for the first time
"What makes you say that?"
"You see how friendly they are with each other…very very friendly with each other"
Aladdin gave it some thought, "I won't make it past you, but you're probably right"
"You know there are probably a lot of guys that to court Esme next"
"Well they got to make sure they're in the front of the line"
"Sup guys", said Quasimodo walking toward the group
"Yo Quasi", says Aladdin as Phoebus daps him up
That's Quasimodo, or Quasi for short. The story of how we met him goes something like this: back in middle school me, Aladdin, Phoebus, and Esmeralda were walking to lunch when we saw somebody being yelled at. They were yelling at Quasimodo for how he looked and his back problems (which have gotten a lot better now) .We saw him cry a little and the four of us decided to take a stand against the bullies, ever since that day he has become part of the group. He carved figurines of ourselves for all four of us. I still have the original Flynn Rider figurine to this day…
"More like the 5th…", Quasimodo muttered with the rest of the guys laughing
"Hahaha, very funny Quasi" said Flynn sarcastically
"What, I'm just saying that Ali and Phoebs, still have their original figurines still?"
Aladdin and Phoebus shook their heads yes
"Come on you two, you're really not helping!"
"Are we doing my favorite activity which is laughing at Flynn?", asked Meg who now joins the conversation
"No Meg we are not doing that, we never doing that"
"They literally were just doing that"
This is Megara, or Meg for short, that's what she probably prefers to be called anyway, because she physically cringes at the fact if you call her by her first name. Anyway, we also met her in middle school and to be honest she's like the most witty and sarcastic person I've ever met, probably even more witty than me…nah
"What the hell is he doing?", asked Meg
"Honestly, have no clue", said Aladdin
"As long as we've known him, do any of us have a clue?" said Phoebus
The three of them looked at each other and shook their heads no
"Anyway I'm gonna cool off inside, it's way too damn hot out here", said Meg with three boys waving back
The three boys are talking and time passes so they eventually walk inside. When they are inside noticed Pocahontas putting flyers around the building
"Hey, Poca, whatcha doing?", asked Flynn
"Oh hey boys, I'm putting flyers up for the Tree of Life celebration that coming up in two weeks", she responded
This is Pocahontas, we met her during the later part of middle school. Far as I can remember, she always had a love for nature and animals, which is why she volunteers at the animal shelter almost every weekend, she also is a really good painter, which is why she leads the art club in different projects, her paintings are always breathtaking…woah I don't think I ever used that word before…breathtaking, Hmm…weird
"Are you three interested in going?"
"Umm…I don't know, you know me, I'm a busy man"
"Oh really…" Pocahontas rolls her eyes, "Says the person that plays Kingdom Hearts on his weekends"
"Well, you know I got a lot goin…Hey!" he says in realization, "First off, that's not what I only do on the weekends, I actually am quite productive"
"Says who?", chimes in Esmeralda with Quasimodo
"Says me, Esme" Flynn retorts
"Flynn Rider, the busiest man in the world…A man who doesn't turn his assignments in on time", said Phoebus which makes the others laugh
"Yet again, why me?"
"Don't be so hard on yourself Flynn, you know we still care about you right?", said Quasimodo
"Yeah, I know"
"We just want you to do better"
"Yeah, what Quasi said, no hard feelings", chimed Aladdin, meanwhile Jasmine passes by the group carrying some books
"Hey Jazz"
"Hi Aladdin" he then opens the door for her on her way out
"Thanks," she says with a smile
"It's no problem", he smiles back, "Talk to you later, have a good day"
"You too" she responds
Esmeralda smiles at him, "We'll look at you being gentlemen like", she says, "How's progress going along"
"It's been great, I'm still waiting to ask her out, I'm just waiting until the moment is right. Can't believe I made it this far, You know, I still remember the days when I was too nervous being in her presence, now look at me, I have her number, and we're talking, eating lunch together, just can't wait for the next step between me and her"
"Just to let her know, we are all happy for you", said Phoebus, whose facial expression can tell he was happy for his friend, but wondering if he could ever have something like that between him and Esmeralda.
It's just the fact that Esmeralda is a very popular person and that all the guys want to date her, if not at least sleep with her. In fact she's had her fair share of relationships that were semi-sexual and Phoebus didn't know how he was going match to other guys that were with her. l mean he's not ideal, he likes to keep his hair in a ponytail and wear glasses instead of letting his hair down like the rest of the boys at Disney. He's always going to be friends with Esmeralda, it's just that he wishes that he can be more than that.
"Alright gang", says Flynn to his vlog camera, "We gotta go to class, and yes I am early for once"
The group gives a slow clap to Flynn
"Finally", says Meg who heard him in the hallway. Flynn looks at his friends and rolls his eyes
"Anyway, from Flynn, Ali, Phoebs, Esme, Quasi, Meg, and Poca, we are Club 23, out!" and he turns his camera off
"Club 23?", asks Phoebus
"Um…Hellooo, Disney and its incorporated areas were founded in 1923, man I'll tell you some people need a history lesson"
"Flynn saying we need a history lesson…Ironic", says Esmeralda
"Gahh!", Flynn exclaimed while Esmeralda smirked
