"Hey Jimmy, it's the 61st National Sensha-Do tournament, an exciting time to be alive, why don't you get out there and explore the world." His mother began as she told the young boy to get out there and explore the world.

"Gee whizz mum, thanks." Jimmy responded. He then teleported to one of the school ships to see what was going on. He was amazed. "This place is amazing, where am I?" Jimmy asked.

"You're in Maginot girl's Academy my boy. Here we come up with wacky new ways of running a school, Liberty, Egality, Fraternity." Madeleine told the young boy how they ran things around the ship. Jimmy smiled before he was teleported somewhere else. A train station on another school ship.

"Woah!" Jimmy was excited to see what was going on.

"You're in St Gloriana's. Here, we just put the train on the school ship." Earl Gray explained to Jimmy how they placed steam locomotives on their ship. "All aboard!" Earl Gray shouted as she pulled out a whistle and prepared to blow it. Jimmy then teleported again to another school ship as it was just as magnificent as the others.

"Holy smokes!" Jimmy was enamored by the factory lifestyle as it was one of those factories that seemed to have attracted the students to work in.

"You're in a Kuromorimine factory my friend. Here we harness fire and coal to create all of these sexy Lederhosen." Manami explained to young Jimmy as she showed him an example. Jimmy was more than thrilled.

"This is incredible! I can't wait to see where I will end up next…" Jimmy then teleported to another school ship. It was desolate, nothing exciting except for a hut and a tree. One of the students was dragging a hoe through the soil as she seemed rather bored. "Where am I?" Jimmy asked. The female student snorted before she spat into the soil.

"You're in Saunders." She responded. Jimmy looked up to the female student who he didn't like the appearance of. Dirt poor with only the clothes on her back.

"Have… I gone back in time?" Jimmy asked the girl if he went back to a time of farming and not one of extravagance like the other three ships.

"No, this is just how it is." She responded. Jimmy looked at her clothes as he seemed curious about what her status was.

"Are you… a farmer?" Jimmy asked.

"Worse." She responded. "Technically my SJW landlords own me, which makes me a serf." She responded. Jimmy looked at her as he began back away, ready to run.

"I'm scared." Jimmy responded.

"You should be because I haven't eaten in four days and you look pretty tasty." She responded as she began following Jimmy.

"Hey Jimmy, how were your travels?" Jimmy's mother asked as she had finished making dinner. Jimmy came running into the room crying his eyes out.

"I HATE YOU!" Jimmy shouted.

Red, White Revolution!

Saunders University High School during the 61st National Sensha-Do year: Feudal, underdeveloped and stuck in the past. While the other schools have been modernizing and improving their student's lives, Saunders rulers were taking a different approach:

"Nicole, we're falling behind the rest of the Sensha-Do schools, it's time to industrialize, give the students' rights and share your power…" Before the student could finish, Nicole pulled out a bazooka and fired it at the student to get her to shut up. Saunders leaders had no time for pathetic ideas like liberty and modernization because they were too busy having the time of their lives. While all the serfs were breaking their backs in the fields, the Saunders leaders and aristocratic landlords held all of the power and they didn't have to listen to anyone. Want to run the school like a backwards feudal kingdom while the rest of the schools outpace you militarily and economically? Go right ahead. Want to keep the people uneducated so they don't get any ideas? There's no one to stop you. Want to keep exporting grain even when there's a massive famine causing hundreds of thousands to die? That is your God-given right. While this was great for Saunders president, if you were literally anybody else it'd probably suck because Saunders was falling behind. If they were to keep up with the rest of the schools, they needed a strong leader with some big ideas.

Big ideas had to start somewhere. A 17-year-old girl walked along the hallway to meet up with some of the students. The name of the girl was Megumi and she had just inherited the reins from her predecessor. She sat down at the chair with four girls. Two of them she knew, one had a lean appearance with black hair and brown eyes. The other girl was a voluptuous blonde girl with a ponytail and green eyes. Megumi looked at the four girls to see them.

"You made it just in time." Azumi began. She was leading the center of this. Megumi seemed nervous but she tried her best to have some composure.

"I heard this war was a disaster for our school and something that Nicole wished she had never gotten herself into." Megumi told Azumi as she had her head down. She was just as upset as her former leader.

"It's okay there. I will tell you that you could have won without our interference, those students guarding the Black Sea fought valiantly but they were no match. Your school is becoming archaic, and we've been advancing far ahead." Azumi reassured Megumi there was nothing to get upset about.

"We struggled as well and Anzio joining boosted our morale and helped us out." Earl Gray sipped her tea. "They joined since they wanted to unite their school in a good light."

"That's good." Megumi nodded.

"Okay enough chatting, give us Bessarabia back and keep the Black Sea demilitarized forever!" Ankara shouted as she wanted her prize and hopefully a slap to the face on Megumi's part.

"Why all of Bessarabia? Can't we see that Saunders has suffered enough?" Earl Gray asked Anarka why she was being harsh with her claims.

"What's the matter? Can't I get back my school's former lands?" Ankara asked. "I would have annexed all the territory I lost nearly a few years ago and claim it all for myself."

"Now let's not jump too far ahead to conclusions Ankara." Riccioli told her to calm down and not vent out her demands at the enemy. Azumi knew how to compromise between Megumi and Ankara. She slipped Megumi a piece of paper and decided to lay out the terms.

"Sign here with the promise you will keep the Black Sea demilitarized for the next few weeks while your school is sorted out and give the mouth of the Danube to Moldova. I hope these terms can be fair to you Megumi." Azumi told her friend. Megumi huffed and began to think. After giving a couple moments of reflection, she decided to sign it.

"Fine." Megumi sighed. She got out the pen and signed her name. Once she finished, she slid the paper back to Azumi who the four girls finally were satisfied but Ankara wanted more from the deal. She looked at Megumi with hostility but Azumi ignored her. She decided to walk alongside Megumi.

"I know it must be hard but I kind of wished we still had Nicole if she was still alive. Last I heard she was extremely depressed about the entire war and said Saunders felt isolated. She stayed up far into the night to get work done and she ended up catching a chill which turned to pneumonia, and she refused medical treatment." Azumi began. "I'm just as upset as you are that she is gone. However with the reins in your hands you can guide the horses and the carriage onto a new street, taking Saunders into a new direction. Be the liberator in your heart. Give the school things that your predecessors had dreamed of doing but never did. I am counting on you to make the changes you want to make. Good luck." Azumi left as the words of her were reflecting in Megumi's mind. Be the liberator in your heart. She decided to walk back to Saunders.

The main school building of Saunders was like the palace in the middle of a field of wheat and rye. It was only one of three areas of the school that were partially industrialized. With the new year came the ending of the harvests. Megumi looked around as the new year presented itself. She had finished one thing and that was making a deal with the victors to keep Saunders losses to a minimum. Riding up to the student was a girl similar in age, she had reddish brown hair and brown eyes, a face partially covered in freckles. She dismounted her horse and ordered it to the rear.

"So you're back." She began.

"Yes Alexandra." Megumi responded. "I will conduct a meeting as there is something that I want to get out of the way. Nicole, Saunders' stabilizing leader before me had partially abolished it and allowed the students to attend classes and join the Sensha-Do team but they weren't allowed to climb the ranks which I find a pity." Megumi replied. "I want to do this before the first day of the new school year, so the first years don't have to suffer with this archaic system."

"Should we begin typing away the paper and get the stuff together?" Alexandra asked.

"Go ahead, the meeting will be conducted tomorrow. Let's just hope we don't make the school's current aristocratic snowflakes angry." Megumi walked off. What Megumi was talking about was the system that aristocrats were elected to Saunders, they had most of the school's wealth and did the least amount of work and went to class the least number of times, this along with their unhinged views made them hard to control. In order to fit into their status, it all came down to looks so only the minorities benefit from this system and thus created the vast echo chambers of information that was stuck in an endless loop. Nicole just appeased them so she could get what she wanted done without interference. Megumi, however, knew she needed to change this system and take back some of the control.

The next day, Megumi and Alexandra walked up to the stage where the meeting was going to be held. Most of Saunders students as well as the incoming freshmen were gathered at the outside field of the school. The field was vast and had been used by the Sensha-Do team for practice, Alexandra was exhausted from last night's typing as she had prepared the entire thing for her friend. Megumi then stood up on the stage as she began to tap the microphone.

"Is this thing on?" Megumi asked. The students turned their heads to face Megumi as she had got their attention. Megumi cleared her voice and waited for the ready.

"Yes, it is, you may speak when ready." Alexandra told her friend that everything was working and in good order.

"My intention is to abolish serfdom. You can yourself understand that the existing system of owning souls cannot remain unchanged. It is better to abolish serfdom from above, than to wait for that time when it starts to abolish itself from below. I ask you to think about the best way to carry this out." Megumi began. "Saunders has fallen many years behind the other schools and keeping the students in chains will prevent any significant changes from happening. The first thing I want to do as the new commander of the school is to take the keys and unlock the chains kept around the ankles of the people and allow the people to educate themselves as we are last at everything. Once we're all settled down, I will begin to enhance the quality of the education system and you can learn trade and pursue hobbies that wouldn't be available on the soil and the seeds however even the seeds can hold the ideas. All the farming land will be owned by the school, and we will keep you from being sent into the fields to harvest wheat and rye when there is untapped knowledge in the brains. So, to all of the students I have three words to the students of Saunders: You're all free." When those three words were said, the students erupted into a thunderous applause. For years, they had been held back and now Megumi was unlocking the chains that held them together. She promised changes and she was going to make sure to double down on the promises. However, watching from the distance were some of the members of the Aristocratic group of students. As Megumi continued to speak about how these changes were to be implemented, some of these students began to speak.

"So, we're losing all of our free labor and forced to mingle with those filthy commoners?" Yuri asked as she didn't like where this was going.

"Patience does it Ms. Nakamura. If Megumi changes things too much around here, we might have to take her out and take over the running of the school." Himari responded. "Get the I-Phones and we're going to find out ways to take her down." The two students walked away as they didn't like these changes. Megumi and Alexandra walked away. They knew they had a lot of work to do.

The next few days went by as Megumi had a lot of work to do with Alexandra hauling all of the paperwork.

"Wow, we just abolished serfdom and took all of the land. What do you want to do with all of this said land?" Alexandra asked as Megumi was signing papers as she decided to focus on her next big promise: Reforming education.

"We need to industrialize as we can have a big boom to the industry, steel output for local companies and uniting the various rail lines on Saunders will help stimulate the economy. We can see up to a moving in rate of five thousand new residents in the next year if everything goes according to plan." Megumi explained as she was reading through some of the files. "Education has been neglected. Even though Nicole has made the students of the former serfs attend classes as the number of classes have risen from six to two hundred and fifty-five. There was no grade limit set, so students are passing with grades as low as five percent. We need to put a net on that."

"Looks like we'll be working hard then to make these changes." Alexandra responded. Megumi began typing away to see what changes they could make to the education system to make it more fair and place minimum requirements.

"Okay. Any other news?" Megumi asked as she kept typing her changes away.

"Oh yeah. Principal Nicholas II wished you good luck this year Megumi and he's sending the Tsarevich over tomorrow to renew a deal between us and the middle school." Alexandra told Megumi that someone was going to come over.

"Well I can't wait to see him." Megumi replied as she finished typing up. She then printed out the suggestions she had to give Alexandra the chance to read them over.

•Classes for the commoners will take place between 8 to 12 with the afternoon used for your selected program.

•Aristocratic students will have to attend class with the commoners.

•Classes will last forty minutes with five-minute breaks in between.

•Students will require a minimum of 55 to pass the class anything below that threshold and you failed the class.

•Classes of choice will last one semester.

•Local clubs will be in charge of whatever they teach and how they will be allowed to teach them.

•New more comfortable uniform and school logo will be made.

"Those are some good suggestions, but I doubt the aristocratic class of students would follow these rules." Alexandra told Megumi. Megumi nodded as one of the messages began to type out on the automatic typewriter.

"Someone is writing to us." Megumi noticed the buzzing and she began to walk over while Alexandra was putting the files away. Megumi walked over as she picked up the message when it finished typing out. "What should we reform next in terms of the school? Give the students a court system?" Alexandra asked as she knew that Megumi was reforming the school at a dizzying rate.

"Yes. Give the students greater equality for their standing of students in all positions before the law." Megumi began. "Public trials, councils for the defense and prosecution and juries." Megumi told Alexandra her ideas. She began to type away the ideas for the court and how these ideas will be implemented.

"Well since we freed the serfs a few days ago, the people will demand we make a constitution for the school." Alexandra warned Megumi that the lower classes will make the aristocrats uneasy that their power was being completely stripped away.

"Well, if Saunders clearly desires it and is ready for it… I too am ready." Megumi replied. Alexandra felt uneasy. Was Megumi going to do the unthinkable? She was saying that she would be ready for it if the commoners wanted one. Megumi straightened out her papers as she decided to get to the message.

Dear Megumi.

I really hated the reception that I got as of today. We were given a lunch of just beetroot and potatoes with water. The girl next to me affectionately calling herself Mika said that she didn't mind the food and she was talking about the wind. I couldn't believe it as this food was boring. Also, the music we were greeted with didn't flare up any excitement, the school still seems to be stuck in the bad old days and our history lesson was about 1616 beginning with "False Dmitry's" being the founding of our country. I would like to join the Sensha-Do team, but the school needs a lot of work to be done before I would wish to join.

Kay

"Wow I didn't know we were getting criticism right off the bat. Whoever this student is really doesn't like us." Alexandra began as Megumi finished reading the letter.

"Tell her that we're doing everything we can to fix everything and it's going to be a bit of a lengthy process." Megumi replied. Alexandra nodded and began looking at the letter.

"Who is she that is writing to us? I've never heard of this student before." Alexandra asked, this was her first time hearing this girl's name.

"Oh, that's Kay, one of the first-year students." Megumi replied.

"Should we call her down and give her a pass to travel to the other schools to see what kind of lives they are living in?" Alexandra suggested.

"If it means getting her out of the way so we can make the deal with the tsarevich then I do agree. I don't want to cause any misunderstandings between us." Megumi fretted that she didn't want Kay to be a nuisance to the meeting.

"How long should the meeting take?" Alexandra asked. Megumi began to think about it while she organized more of the folders.

"I don't know the exact date that the meeting will be finished but when we are finished, we might as well take a walk around the school. The tsarevich loves adventures and I want to have the meeting be conducted as quickly as possible as he can't sit still for any length of time." Megumi replied. She grabbed the microphone and began speaking: "Would Kay please come to my office?"

"So… he's a squirmer if he can't sit still for long periods of time?" Alexandra asked.

"Kind of, it's not as bad as it was when he was just a kid." Megumi replied. "We also want to be careful with him because if the tsarevich gets a paper cut, it will be fatal." Then someone walked into the office. She had blonde hair with greenish blue eyes. She seemed to be rather annoyed.

"Who is she?" Alexander asked, she was unfamiliar with the student.

"That's the student who sent us the letter, her name is Kay." Megumi responded.

"Yes, that is my name, but this school is lacking." Kay began.

"We're doing everything we can to make it better, we just implemented all of these new changes and are you still mad at us?" Megumi asked, she was wondering how to make the freshmen's life better.

"I would like to apply for the Sensha-Do team, thank you very much and I would like to oversee the tactics used between the students." Kay made her demands clearly.

"It's just the two of us that are working at this time but be a little patient, we will get to you when the time comes. It will be a couple of days before everyone is settled and everything is sorted out." Megumi told Kay to be a little patient with this as everyone is still working.

"You better hurry up and get this done tonight or else you will be deemed too slow to make my demands. Is that clear?" Kay asked as she wanted it done now. Megumi and Alexandra felt like who was this first year to push the seniors around.

"Okay! We'll do it for you!" Alexandra shouted as she felt like she was the first to give in. "Go pound sand or something while we try to plan what to do with you." Kay huffed and turned and walked away. Alexandra turned to Megumi as she continued to sort out the paperwork.

"This girl's aggressive. Who placed her in Saunders?" Megumi asked.

"Probably her parents. If she is kept around, we might face an upending of the system we are implementing and we have to do something to get her to go away." Alexandra responded. They needed to act fast if they were going to keep the school stable while these changes were being implemented.

"How about we send her abroad to another school for another day for research purposes and see what our opponents are doing?" Megumi suggested that they should look to the other schools for inspiration while they were going to handle the affairs with the tsarevich.

"Great idea!" Alexandra shouted. "I'll go get everything ready." Alexandra ran off as she was going, now was the time to get everything organized and hopefully Kay could spend a couple of weeks away from Saunders while they get everything sorted and implemented.

Everything was going according to plan for the two students however, Megumi was going to be the first to feel the sting.

[A/N]: I suck at beginning stories, but this is going to have a lot of events condensed down mostly due to pacing as I plan on covering a lot of stuff in this fanfic alone.

I always wondered about this and have planned this for quite a long time. A ton of new characters are being introduced as well as some established ones that will determine the events of what will happen in some of the more recent GuP stories so this one will be the furthest step backwards in time as Der Film's events are the most recent in this timeline.

Now a certain Nicole is brought up, if you want a story centered around her, type "Nicole" into the reviews and I'll see if there will be a demand high enough for her.

Anyway, let's march forward while I nurse my brain with War and Peace. Farewell.
