Izuku Midoriya, a new and aspiring duelist participating in the Cross Tag Duel Academy, encounters new faces, some of which have grudges against each other. However, grudges must be settled before darkness takes hold of everything they all hold dear. Will he manage to make everyone work together by the time darkness arrives in this world once again?

So! This one is inspired by TheMaster4444's Cards of Remnant, but instead of using RWBY, I'm going to be using… every other franchise that I like! Video games, anime, anything goes! Hope you enjoy the first episode!

Cue: Soleanna Castle Town (Sonic 06)

We see a young man with dark green hair running his way to an academy. He sees what it looked like: A large building, possibly the size of a college ground, surrounded by seven pillars of light. One red, one sky blue, one regular blue, one purple, one yellow, one pink, and one brown.

"Wow! This is the Cross Tag Duel Academy! Some of the best Duelists graduate from this academy!" The young man exclaimed.

This aspiring young man is Izuku Midoriya. Fifteen years old. He, like many others, came to this academy to become one of the best Duelists the world has ever known. He is an especially big fan of Summer Rose, Jubei, Tohru Adachi, Waldstein, Parace L Sia, Jasmine, and Fritz, the Seven Heavenly Lights that gave their lives to stop the corruption that plagued this world. Cross Tag Duel Academy is currently in a rivalry with Beacon Academy.

"I can't wait to see who I'm gonna meet! I'm gonna make it big here!" Izuku declared happily before he started to trip over himself. '...Or I'll just die.'

FLOAT

Izuku started floating because of a young lady with brown hair touching him. "Hey, are you okay?" The young lady asked.

"Huh!?" Izuku gasped as he started flailing his legs before the young lady gently set him on his feet.

"Hi there~!" The young lady greeted him. " It's bad luck to trip and fall to the ground before initiation starts~ Sorry if I needed to ask permission to use my Duelist Powers on you first~"

"O-Oh, uh…"

"Wow, this academy seems packed, huh~? I'm actually kinda nervous about this~! Well, I'll see you in there, right?"

"U-Uh…"

"Cool~! See ya~!" The young lady exclaimed as she left to head into the academy.

'...Holy whoa! I talked to a girl at school!' Izuku declared in his thoughts.

It should be noted that he did not actually talk at all.

Izuku started laughing loudly.

Izuku was seen with his back toward the camera before he turned to face it and raised a yellow card which had a shining image before the shine started to cover the camera cutting to…

The letters that make the title appear one by one, each having the seven colors, red, blue, green, yellow, sky blue, regular blue, pink, and brown, before the word DUEL, along with its three exclamation marks, all appear green.

Izuku, a young man with orange hair named Ichigo Kurosaki, a blonde haired young lady, known as Lucy Heartfilia, and a young blue haired lady known as Juvia Lockser, appear for 2 seconds at a time before we see a woman with long black hair.

0:31 - 0:39

We then see a young man with black and red hair, known as Tanjiro Kamado, a man with blonde hair, named Giorno Giovanna, a man with salmon colored hair, known as Natsu Dragneel, and another blonde haired young man known as Naruto Uzumaki for the same amount of seconds.

0:40 - 0:45

We come to a white haired pale skinned young lady walking around the academy before going to an alleyway with a sky blue haired young man walking through it before putting his hand on the camera.

0:46 - 0:49

We now see the brown haired lady summoning a bunch of magical girls before striking a pose.

0:50 - 0:59

We see the struggles that Lucy, Naruto, Ichigo, and Izuku go through before we cut to a cat-like human under a blood red moon cutting the ground apart.

1:00 - 1:04

We see Izuku summoning a superhero in white that starts charging at the pale woman's shadowy vampire.

1:05 - 1:10

We see Lucy summoning a glowing dragon that fires a blast at another blue haired young lady who summons a pretty well endowed fairy in a blue dress.

1:11 - 1:15

We see a large zombified black dragon with red eyes clashing against a man with white hair and flaming swords while Ichigo and Tanjiro clash Duel Disks with each other.

1:16 - 1:20

We see Izuku coming up against seven hooded figures, one of which is the cat-like person, led by the sky-blue haired man who, when close to the camera, was smiling behind his hand mask.

1:21 - 1:26

We see the friends Izuku would make getting ready to duel against the seven hooded figures and hand masked man.

1:27 - 1:40

We see Izuku preparing his Duel Disk before he gives a slow-motion punch toward the camera, charged with green energy before said camera suddenly tilts toward the sky, showing the title again.

End Opening

Cue: Entrance (Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle)

Izuku was seen in the plaza. "Wow… This place looks amazing…! I wonder where I'm at, though…" He let out as he walked by some people coming and going. "I guess maybe… at the center…?" He guessed as he walked toward the center of the plaza.

"Would all initiation participants please report to the center of the amphitheater." The PA system called for.

"Oh. I was close. Right. Time to go there! …Wherever it is." Izuku hummed before seeing a map. "Oh! Found it!"

Izuku makes it to the amphitheater. He looks around. "Wow, so many Duelists…! I wonder what decks they run and how strong they are compared to my own…!"

Just then, steam appears, showing several men and women, some of which are from the opening song like the white haired lady and the blue haired lady that is NOT named Juvia.

These are the Senior students, who are the closest to graduating from this academy compared to the would-be Freshman students. Notable Duelists among them are:

The camera comes to the white haired young lady.

Shalltear Bloodfallen.

Then to the blue haired lady not named Juvia.

Labilia Christy.

Then to a white haired man.

Ragna Kisaragi.

Then to a third man with blonde hair.

Gunvolt Lumen.

Then to a man with black hair.

Clive Rosfield.

Then to a young lady with black hair.

Rukia Kuchiki.

Then to a young lady with red hair.

Tsubaki Yayoi.

Then to a man with dark blue hair.

And Gray Fullbuster.

After that, the woman with long black hair from the opening comes to the stage.

HEEL CLICK

"Thank you all for coming, especially the would-be Freshman. Your initiation… will be to lower the Life Points of one of these Senior students down to 0." She announced, shocking the Freshman. "To ensure a fair Duel, these Senior students will start their duel with only 1000 LP while you all get the full 4000. If all of your Freshmen beat these Senior students, then every single one of you will be able to live in this school for the next four years. If even one of you fails, only the ones that win their Duel will enroll. So say I, Satsuki Kiryuin, the Student Council President of this prestigious Cross Tag Duel Academy."

'Threatening expulsion on the day of enrollment!? What kind of harsh academy is this!?' Izuku gasped in his thoughts. 'And shouldn't the PRINCIPAL be in charge of this!?'

"Of course, due to life being a series of random events, the Duelists will be determined by drawing lots. This will determine who will Duel who. This is the best course of action to determine what you will bring to this academy. Now LET US BEGIN THE DRAW!" Satsuki commanded, making her way to both boxes. She then thrusts both of her hands into the boxes and draws two names from them. "The first Freshman to duel will be… Izuku Midoriya. He will Duel… Shalltear Bloodfallen."

Izuku takes a deep breath before making his way to the center.

Izuku looks carefully at Shalltear, a heavy glare present in his eyes. 'She's definitely intimidating. I have to be careful.' He thought.

"Could you do me a favor?" Shalltear suddenly asked, getting his attention. "Do try not to lose so easily~ It would be a shame to have everyone's hopes dashed so quickly~"

Cue: Threat Incoming (My Hero Academia)

'She's goading me into making a mistake.' Izuku grumbled in his thoughts. 'She's trying to make me act cocky before she turns the tables on me.'

"Hello? Are you listening to me?" Shalltear called for.

"I am. And I'm NOT going to lose." Izuku proclaimed.

"That's what they all say before they inevitably do~ I wonder if you truly WILL be different~" Shalltear giggled.

"Save the trash talking for another time, Shalltear. We have students to teach." Satsuki stated.

"Just having a bit of fun with him, Lady Satsuki. But very well~ I suppose I'll get this over with, then~" Shalltear said as she pulled out her Duel Disk, Izuku doing the same. Shalltear's Duel Disk consists of a black batwing with five slots while Izuku's has the arm of a superhero with a palm facing outward, and a blade on the elbow for some reason.

"You may now begin." Satsuki declared.

"DUEL!" They both shouted.

Izuku LP: 4000

Shalltear LP: 1000

"The person that goes first will be the person that calls the side that this coin lands on correctly." Satsuki said, revealing said coin.

"I choose heads." Izuku picked.

"Tails for me, then." Shalltear conceded. Satsuki flips the coin and it lands on…

"Heads. Izuku Midoriya goes first."

End Song and cue: Fudou Yuusei (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds)

"I'll start things off by summoning Elemental Hero Blazeman!" Izuku started, summoning a superhero in red with flames coming out of his back.

LV: 4

ATK: 1200

"His effect kicks in. Whenever Blazeman is summoned, I get to add 1 Polymerization from my deck to my hand." Izuku continued, doing so. "I then end my turn by placing two cards face down." He finished as he set two cards face down.

"My turn, then~ I draw!" Shalltear exclaimed. "First, I activate the Continuous Spell card Call of the Mummy!" She exclaimed, playing a green card that had a picture of two mummies on it. "This card allows me to Special Summon a Zombie-Type monster once per turn so long as I have no monsters on the field. I'll use its effect to Special Summon Uni-Zombie!" She proclaimed as she summoned two tone-deaf zombies.

ATK: 1300

"When Special Summoned, Uni-Zombie sends a Zombie-Type monster from my deck to the graveyard. I send Vampire Grace to the graveyard. Now, I'll tribute my Uni-Zombie to summon Shadow Vampire!" Shalltear continued, making the Uni-Zombie disappear in place of a vampire that is clouded in shadow, said vampire holding a sword and shield.

"When Normal Summoned, Shadow Vampire allows me to Special Summon a DARK attribute "Vampire" monster except Shadow Vampire. I special summon Vampire Duke!" Shalltear kept going as she summoned a vampiric duke.

"And now, I will-"

"Hold it right there!" Izuku interrupted. "I activate the Trap: Bottomless Trap Hole!" He exclaimed, revealing a pink card that has the picture of a monster going into, well, a bottomless trap hole. "Since your Vampire Duke's Attack Points are 1500 or above, AND has been Special Summoned, this card will banish your Vampire Duke!"

"What!?" Shalltear gasped as she saw Duke getting sucked into a hole that appeared below him. "Damn you…! Battle! Shadow Vampire attacks Elemental Hero Blazeman!" She growled, the vampire charging at Blazeman with his sword before stabbing Blazeman in the gut, making him explode, causing Izuku to grunt from the explosion.

ATK Difference: 2000 - 1200 = 800

Izuku LP: 4000 - 800 = 3200

"I'll activate my second trap card: Hero Signal!" Izuku replied, revealing another trap card, but this one has the image of an H in the night sky from a spotlight. "Since you destroyed one of my monsters in battle, I'm allowed to Special Summon one Elemental Hero from my deck. I bring out Elemental Hero Shadow Mist!" He declared, summoning a woman in black and long dark blue hair.

ATK: 1000

"I then use Shadow Mist's effect to add one Mask Change from my deck to my hand." Izuku added, doing so.

"How dare you force me to watch you banish Vampire Duke…! …No matter. I set two cards of my own face down and it is now your turn." Shalltear finished her turn.

"My turn. I draw! Ah! Just what I needed to win this! I'll activate the Spell card E - Emergency Call!" Izuku exclaimed, showing a spell card with the image of an E with an explosion in the background. "This card allows me to add one Elemental Hero monster from my deck to my hand. I'll add Elemental Hero Bubbleman! Next, I'll activate this: Polymerization!" He revealed, showing a card of two monsters fusing together. "I fuse Bubbleman from my hand and Shadow Mist on my field!" He declared, a bubbled themed hero jumping into the air with Shadow Mist. "Man who defeats villains with bubbles, join with the woman in the shadows and show them what you can do! The day has come! Fusion Summon! Rise on up! Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!" He chanted, summoning an ice themed superhero.

ATK: 2500

"But that's not all. I activate Shadow Mist's second effect! If Shadow Mist is sent to the graveyard, I get to add an Elemental Hero monster from my deck to my hand. I'll add a second Bubbleman. And now I Normal summon him in Attack Position!" Izuku declared, doing so.

LV: 4

ATK: 800

"Absolute Zero gains 500 Attack Points for each WATER attribute monster on the field. Bubbleman just so happens to be one of them! All right, Absolute Zero! Put Shalltear's Shadow Vampire and this duel on ice!" Izuku shouted as Absolute Zero powers up and starts charging up his attack.

ATK: 2500 + 500 = 3000

"Impressive. For an ape. But not quite impressive enough. I'll activate the Continuous Trap card: Escape From the Dark Dimension!" Shalltear revealed, showing a trap card that has the image of a man of darkness escaping from a dimension. "This allows me to Special Summon a DARK attributed monster that was banished. I will now Special Summon Vampire Duke!"

Attribute: DARK

ATK: 2000

"And now, Duke's effect goes off, but first, I activate another Trap Card: Metaverse! This allows me to either add a Field Spell from my deck to my hand, or activate it from my deck. I activate from my Deck, Vampire Kingdom!" Shalltear declared, activating a spell that reveals a sixth slot. This causes buildings to appear and surround Shalltear, another building coming from underneath, causing her to look down on Izuku. "All of you are FILTHY APES. None of you are worthy to best ME!" Shalltear laughed.

"Laugh while you can, Shalltear, but I can still-"

"DON'T INTERRUPT ME, MAGGOT! I haven't activated Duke's effect, yet~ When Special Summoned, he allows me to declare one card type and that will be sent from your deck to your graveyard. Send a spell to your graveyard, would you kindly~?" Shalltear "asked".

"...I send H - Heated Heart to my graveyard." Izuku stated, doing so.

"And now for Vampire Kingdom's effect! It activates whenever my opponent sends a Spell card from their deck to the graveyard! By sending a Vampire monster from my hand or deck to the graveyard, I can destroy one card you control! I will send Vampire's Curse to the graveyard… and destroy Absolute Zero~!" Shalltear exclaimed before a mist covered Absolute Zero, making groans before he roared in pain and crumbled into dust.

"Absolute Zero, no!" Izuku exclaimed in worry.

End Song

"Looks like Absolute Zero was just that. An absolute zero! Oh-hohohoho~!" Shalltear laughed.

"Laugh while you can, Shalltear. Absolute Zero's effect will destroy your monsters!" Izuku declared.

"Effect? Please. My vampires could NEVER be scared of your pathetic monsters OR their effects." Shalltear boasted.

"Well, they should be because they just caught a little frostbite!" Izuku smirked.

"A what?" Shalltear huffed before she saw Shadow Vampire and Vampire Duke starting to freeze over. "What's going on!? What is happening!?"

Cue: Passionate Duelist (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

"My Absolute Zero's effect, that's what's going on." Izuku stated. "See, when you destroy Absolute Zero, you enact its final act of revenge. When Elemental Hero Absolute Zero is destroyed all of your monsters are destroyed along with it!" He declared before the two vampires hiss in pain before cracking apart.

"Tch…! I am still in this even if you attack me directly! And once my turn comes, I will make you PAY for it!" Shalltear snarled before she gave a cynical smile.

"I'm not so sure about that." Izuku smiled back, making Shalltear huff in confusion. "Remember the Mask Change that my Shadow Mist allowed me to add to my hand after Special Summoning her? Well, here it is! I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell card Mask Change!" He declared, showing a hero changing the form of his mask. "By tributing my Bubbleman, I can Special Summon a "Masked HERO" Fusion monster with the same Attribute!" He exclaimed, Bubbleman going to the sky and towards a glowing mask. "Hero who defeats villains with bubbles, Sing right into the sky and live without regret! Show the world your peace sign! MASK CHANGE! And rise up! You are no longer Elemental Hero Bubbleman! You are now… MASKED HERO ACID!" He chanted, summoning a hero with a gun in his hand.

ATK: 2600

"I can't believe this… A brat like you… the first one to EVER defeat ME!? I refuse to accept this…!" Shalltear exclaimed.

"You'll have to, Shalltear. For if I can defeat you, then ANYONE can defeat the other Seniors! Dueling is about overcoming all obstacles, no matter the odds! That's what they taught us all! That's why Satsuki, the Student Council President, set this up! Isn't that right!?" Izuku asked Satsuki. "But you also wanted to give us a chance. Right?"

"Indeed I do." Satsuki nodded. "Do not despair over your loss. Your victory will come one day. Use this opportunity to learn from your mistakes."

"...Thank you… Lady Satsuki… Your words give me comfort from this loss…" Shalltear replied. "Go on, Izuku Midoriya. This is now… your Duelist Academia!"

Izuku nods. "Masked Hero Acid, attack Shalltear directly! Acid Shoot!" He ordered, Acid twirling his gun and firing it at Shalltear, the gun shooting acid that knocked Shalltear from where she was standing and onto the floor.

Shalltear LP: 1000 → 0

WINNER: IZUKU MIDORIYA

The students of the academy, especially the Freshmen, cheer for Izuku's victory. Izuku sighs in relief. "You may now return to your seat, Midoriya. Congratulations." Satsuki congratulated him.

"Thank you." Izuku bowed before going to do so. However, he realized something. "Ah! But before I do, is Shalltear okay? She fell from pretty high up!"

"I'm fine, you Muggle." Shalltear grunted as she got up and dusted herself off. "It's just a simulation. I was never in any REAL danger."

"O-Oh…" Izuku let out.

"If you were worried about me, don't. The students of this academy were waiting for me to fall, and I'd say they finally got their wish." Shalltear stated, looking at Izuku with a small smile. "Although it looked to the contrary, I had fun~ Congratulations on your victory, Izuku Midoriya."

"T-Thank you, Shalltear-Senpai!" Izuku exclaimed.

"No one's ever called me that. I thank you, Izuku." Shalltear replied. Izuku goes to his seat. "Senpai… I like the sound of it. It makes me feel superior…~!"

"Shalltear." Satsuki called for her, getting her attention.

"Sorry, my lady. I was… understandably caught up in the moment~" Shalltear said as she walked back to her spot.

"Now then. Shall we proceed? The next duel shall be…" Satsuki trails as she draws two names from the lots. "Lucy Heartfilia vs Labilia Christy."

Lucy and Labilia walk to the center. "Oh… I think I remember you… but I can't quite put my finger on it…" Labilia hummed.

"You don't remember me…?" Lucy raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I'm sure I'll find out eventually. And if I don't, then… oh well~" Labilia shrugged, her face saying what she's really thinking.

"You probably weren't worth remembering in the first place~"

Lucy looked angry at her. "I'll show you someone not worth remembering…!" She grimaced, preparing her Duel Disk while Labilia did the same.

"DUEL!"

Lucy LP: 4000

Labilia LP: 1000

"Lucy. Heads… or tails?" Satsuki asked.

"I choose… tails." Lucy answered.

"Then I'll call heads~" Labilia said.

Satsuki flips the coin and it comes up… "Heads again."

Cue: Brilliant Strategy (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL)

"I go first~ I'll start this by activating the Field Spell Trickstar Light Stage!" Labilia declared, summoning a stage that appears from under her, flashing lights appearing from the top of it. "When activated, it allows me to add 1 Trickstar monster from my deck to my hand~ I add Trickstar Lilybell~! When Lilybell is added to my hand from my deck, except by drawing her, I get to Special Summon her!" She exclaimed, summoning a red fairy with a bell.

ATK: 800

"Next, by returning her to my hand, I Special Summon Trickstar Lycoris!" Labilia continued, returning Lilybell to her hand to summon another kind of red fairy, this one having black hair and a baton.

ATK: 1600

"And now, I'll Normal Summon Trickstar Candina!" Labilia kept going as she summoned a blonde haired yellow fairy with a megaphone.

LV: 4

ATK: 1800

"When Candina is Normal Summoned, I get to add a Trickstar card from my deck to my hand~! I'll add Trickstar Corobane! And, since all monsters I control are Trickstar monsters, I'll Special Summon her!" He exclaimed, summoning a green and white fairy with blonde hair.

ATK: 2000

"Now, open for me! Circuit of my prideful victory!" Labilia called for, her hand showing a flash of blue glow before a square with arrows appeared from above the two. "Arrowheads confirmed! Bottom left and bottom right! I send Trickstars Candina and Corobane to those arrowheads!" She told Lucy as the two Trickstars are sent to said arrowheads. "Come forth! Link 2: Trickstar Holly Angel!" She ordered, summoning the well-endowed fairy from the opening song.

"I now place two cards face down and end my turn~" Labilia said, doing so.

"It's my turn, then. I draw!" Lucy started, doing so.

"Lycoris's effect activates!" Labilia suddenly declared. "Whenever you add a card to your hand, you take 200 points of damage!" She told before Lycoris summons a small vortex of wind that hits Lucy who grunts.

Lucy LP: 4000 - 200 = 3800

"In addition, whenever a Trickstar monster deals Battle or Effect damage, Trickstar Light Stage deals an additional 200 points of damage!" Labilia exclaimed before the lights shine into Lucy's eyes, making her grunt in discomfort and cover her eyes.

Lucy LP: 3800 - 200 = 3600

"Can I get to MY TURN now!?" Lucy growled.

"Hm? Oh, of course. Just going to activate this first~ I'll activate the trap Trickstar Reincarnation!" Labilia revealed a trap card that shows the image of a Trickstar lying down with a rose in her hands. "This forces you to banish your entire hand and draw the same number of cards you banished~!" She explained, Lucy growling more as she did so. "And now, Lycoris's effect~" She said before another mini vortex hit Lucy.

Lucy LP: 3600 - 200 = 3400

"And then Light Stage~" She followed up, making more lights shine into Lucy's eyes.

Lucy LP: 3400 - 200 = 3200

End Song.

"Okay~ Now you can go~" Labilia allowed. "Oh, and before I forget, each time a Trickstar monster inflicts effect damage, Holly Angel gains 200 Attack Points~ Since Lycoris dealt damage to you twice, Holly Angel gains 400 Attack Points~"

ATK: 2000 + 400 = 2400

Cue: Numbers Hunter (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL)

Lucy grimaced as she looked at Labilia with hate. "First, since I control no monsters, I can Special Summon Photon Thrasher!" Lucy exclaimed, summoning a sword wielding soldier made of light.

ATK: 2100

"Next, I'll Normal Summon Photon Crusher!" She continued, summoning a soldier made of light with a twin-sided club.

LV: 4

ATK: 2000

"And now… Photon Change!" Lucy growled, her outfit completely changing. A pair of triangle-shaped earrings hang from her ears along with a necklace displaying an image of a heart circling her neck. Her arms are covered by a pair of black and gold sleeves that only leave her shoulder and hands visible; an intricate figure completes the article at the top. She wears a blue-collared, white jacket and is styled with a heart-shaped zipper hanging in between her chest; hugged by a simple white, sleeveless shirt underneath. She completes her outfit with a short, black, and gold skirt with a slit on the side and long, black and gold boots. "This outfit look familiar to you?"

"Seriously, what are you-" Labilia was about to ask before she sees her outfit. "...Wait…" She let out. "You couldn't be…!"

"I said I'd make you pay for all the bullying you did, and I MEANT it, dammit!" Lucy exclaimed. "It's time right now, Labilia!"

"It's a grudge match? I never knew something like this could happen…!" Izuku gasped, taking notes.

"Now I'll show you!" Lucy snarled as she started glowing in power, yelling all the while. "By tributing two monsters with 2000 or more Attack Points, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand!" She told before the two monsters in front of her disappear in place of a red, five-pronged object glowing in the shape of a shield. She takes the shield and throws it into the air, glowing in more power. "The galaxy that lurks in the darkness. Come forth and awaken your sense of wonder! For distance is nothing! Appear now, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!" She chanted as the shield absorbs light and now appears in the form of a dragon made out of light.

"I-Impressive, but if you're looking to defeat me, then that won't happen! I won't let it! I activate the trap Waboku!" Labilia declared, revealing a trap card that has the image of a group of women offering a prayer. "Until the End Phase of this turn, neither player takes damage, and neither player's monsters are destroyed!"

"You're… You're clearly insane…! I draw!" Labilia boasted. "I'll activate the Equip Spell Trickstar Magical Laurel!" She exclaimed, showing a blue laurel. "This allows me to Special Summon a Trickstar monster from my graveyard and equip this card to it! I Special Summon Trickstar Candina!"

"I then summon back to the field Trickstar Lilybell!"

"Ah, what to do… I think I know what I'd LOVE to do~! I activate Polymerization! I will now fuse my Holly Angel and my Candina! Angel of the pop stars, fuse with the loudest of them all, and find your Eden through the rough! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Trickstar Band Sweet Guitar!" Labilia chanted, summoning a blue fairy carrying an axe-shaped guitar.

"And now, open again! Circuit of my prideful victory! The arrowhead is confirmed! The summoning condition: A level 2 or below Trickstar monster! Lilybell, you're up~!" Labilia called, sending her to the bottom arrow. "Come on out! Link 1: Trickstar Bloom!" She exclaimed, summoning an orange haired fairy in green.

"And now, I activate its effect! When Link Summoned, you're forced to draw a card~!" Labilia taunted, Lucy doing so without a word. "Lycoris's effect activates!"

Both times where Lucy took damage, she didn't even flinch. "And whenever a Trickstar monster inflicts damage via effect, Sweet Guitar gains the same amount of attack points!" Labilia stated.

Sweet Guitar ATK: 2200 + 200 = 2400

Lucy LP: 2800 - 200 = 2600 - 200 = 2400

Sweet Guitar ATK: 2400 + 200 = 2600

"...You don't know when to quit, do you?" Lucy asked.

"I was about to say the same to you…! Just take your lumps and go DOWN, already!" Labilia ordered. "Don't just STAND THERE!"

"You've lowered my Life Points long enough. You've intimidated your victims long enough. And now, Labilia, it's time for you to pay." Lucy said.

"Oh, I'm counting on it, just not yet!" Labilia boasted. "I activate the trap Brutal Potion!" She declared, revealing a trap card that shows a man being brutally chained up and "embraced" by a ghostly woman. "I will equip this card to Sweet Guitar! Whenever I inflict effect damage, the equipped monster gains 1000 Attack Points!" She declared, Sweet Guitar gaining the power needed to rival Galaxy-Eyes.

ATK: 2600 + 1000 = 3600

"Now I activate the trap Pixie Ring! Now you can't target my Trickstar Bloom with your attacks since it's the monster with the lowest Attack Points I control~!" Labilia laughed. "I win~!" She proclaimed, laughing more.

"Really. You don't know a single technicality?" Lucy scoffed. "I thought you were smart."

"What are you talking about?" Labilia asked.

"You just said it yourself. I can't target the monster with the lowest Attack Points you control for an attack. You didn't say I can only target the monster with the highest Attack Points you control." Lucy pointed out. "I obviously can't attack your Sweet Guitar. I'd put Galaxy-Eyes to a suicide mission. So. What's the next best thing to target for attacks, Labilia Christy? You'd certainly know, being an "expert" and all, right?"

"...No… You wouldn't!" Labilia gasped in realization.

"And so falls the "mighty" Labilia." Lucy suddenly narrated. "Doomed to fail before the wizard's sudden display of power."

"W-What are you saying?" Labilia stuttered.

"Galaxy-Eyes, end this sad tale. Attack Trickstar Lycoris!" Lucy growled. "PHOTON BURST STREAM OF DESTRUCTION!"

Galaxy-Eyes obeys Lucy and charges up before shooting a beam of light at Lycoris, obliterating her, causing Labilia to scream in defeat.

Labilia LP: 1000 → 0

Lucy sighs as her clothes return to normal, relieved, satisfied, and exhausted. "Congratulations, Lucy Heartfilia. You have won and are now a student of this academy." Satsuki declared. Lucy looks at Labilia then walks away without a word. "Labilia." Satsuki called, getting Labilia to look at her, afraid. "I will not ask about your history with Lucy. I will only ask you to try again with more Life Points than today."

"W-With all due respect, L-L-Lady Satsuki, I don't think I should, n-not until she's cooled down…" Labilia replied. Satsuki puts a kind, soft hand on her shoulder.

"Take all the time you need." Satsuki advised her, making her nod and return to her place. "Now for the third Duel of initiation."
