PPX: Zuma's First Month
Episode one: Zuma's First Day in Adventure Bay
It was right after Zuma had met Ryder, Chase, and Skye of the Paw Patrol, along with their friends, Rocky and Richie. He was currently getting a look around the Lookout, and was surprised to find that it was a perfectly normal looking, if expensive looking, place. It wasn't grungy like Bloodfreak's gang lair, and it wasn't boring like the orphanage. It felt like an actual home; a part of him felt he could stay here. Of course, there was still what his past did to him. He'd spent three years battling the dark side of the world, and he didn't know if he could readjust safely.
Zuma was currently getting a look at the top floor, and he was amazed by what he saw in there. It was very high tech, and the Tv was huge! He'd never seen anything like this before. Just then, the elevator dinged with Ryder coming in while looking for him with a smile. "There you are."
Zuma flinched and looked back to see Ryder, who walked up to him as he explained what he was doing. "Just getting a look awound the place. That's okay, wight? I only saw what I was supposed to see."
"Don't worry; you're good." Ryder assured Zuma, and then he kneeled down to him and rubbed his head, wanting him to feel as welcome as possible. "I do have a question for you though." Zuma gave Ryder his full attention as the human then asked the Chocolate Labrador with a reassuring look. "Do you feel safe here?"
Zuma was surprised to hear this, but he knew Ryder meant well. He felt it wouldn't hurt to answer the question with a question. "Is that an official moving in question Wyder?"
"I just want you to feel comfortable here." Ryder answered, knowing that Zuma had a hard life before he came to Adventure Bay. He didn't want this to end up being another disappointment for him. "Also, I should let you know now that Chase is the police officer of the Paw Patrol."
Zuma did feel a little uneasy upon hearing that, but he decided to try and stay optimistic about this. "I'm okay fow now. And don't worry, you don't have to do anything special fow me." Zuma then expressed his loneliness with Ryder, who was as understanding as could be towards his struggle. "I just want a place to feel like I belong. A place where othews cawe about me." Zuma tried to push his feelings about his past aside for now to stay happy. "A place to call... home." Acoustic guitar music played as Ryder rubbed Zuma's head affectionately, making Zuma smile.
The guitar music continued to play as Zuma went outside to find Chase, Skye, and Rocky playing in the front yard of the lookout. He wanted to join them, as it seemed like fun. But he didn't know if they'd want him to join their game, especially after he lashed out at Chase and Skye without warning. Rocky noticed Zuma however, and while Chase and Skye continued what looked like a game of tag, he called over to him as the music stopped. "Hey Zuma! Wanna join us!?"
Zuma wasn't sure if he should accept or not, but then Rocky went over to him with Chase and Skye taking notice with Zuma speaking up. "Are you suwe you want me to? I was pwetty wude when Chase and Skye intwoduced themselves."
Chase and Skye could tell that Zuma was skeptical, and when Skye came over, Chase stopped her, letting her know that Rocky should do the talking. And he did, as Chase and Skye observed. "Chase and Skye aren't the type to hold a grudge. And you already apologized for it, so you already have that base covered."
Zuma decided to take Rocky's word for it and walked over to Chase and Skye with them, still seeming nervous about joining in on the game. "So... you two are cool with it if I join. Wight?"
"The more the merrier!" Skye exclaimed, being excited to show Zuma what it's like for normal pups to play together. "You ever play tag before?"
"I know it exists." Zuma answered, not really getting much beyond the basics of what tag was about. "I nevew did get the chance to attend school or anything like that."
Chase and Skye looked at each other before nodding, and Chase then assured Zuma that he wasn't alone. "Believe it or not Zuma, you and I are in the same camp. Skye had to teach me how this game works." Zuma didn't expect that. It seemed to be happening a lot with him today. Chase then shared him the basics of what tag was about. "Basically, one player is it, and they have to chase the other players around the area; no pun intended. Then, when you catch up to one of the other players, you tap them and say 'Tag; you're it!', and then they start doing the chasing."
Zuma took note of those rules and felt he'd be better at actually playing the game with the others. He also had to admit that he wanted to play with the others too. "I think I can wemembew that. Let's do it! Who's it?"
"I am!" Skye said, and then she nodded to the others as she gave them a ten second head start. "Ten second head start, go!"
Chase, Rocky, and Zuma then started laughing while running away playfully, and Zuma was already starting to have fun. A thought popped into his mind however, and he couldn't help asking Rocky about it. "What's the point of this Wocky!? This doesn't feel like twaining!"
"Training? This is just for fun!" Rocky exclaimed happily, leaving Zuma to gain a look of realization as to what he was feeling. He'd rarely ever done something for fun before, and here a rescue team was, doing it because they could. He couldn't get the happy feeling out of his mind, and Rocky felt happy upon seeing it. He knew that meant that Zuma was warming up to the team, slowly, but surely, if need be. Skye was ganging up on them however, and the two nodded to each other before going at max speed. Both were clearly faster than her, even though she was fast herself.
Rocky and Zuma then ran through the nearby trees of the Lookout's location, leaving Skye to run in after them. Zuma got a look around the forest and loved the beauty and life it presented. He forgot where he was for a moment and stopped to take in the beauty, which caught Rocky's attention. He was confused at first, but then he saw that Zuma was taking the time to just let life sink in. This made him smile. He also kind of expected moments like this from Zuma based on what he knew about him.
Skye soon caught up with them and tapped Zuma "Tag, you're it!", startling Zuma a bit and reminding him that there was a game going on. "Oh; sorry. Guess you zoned out a bit, huh."
"Yeah, kinda." Zuma admitted, having to admit that he'd never seen anything like this before. "My pawents lived near the beach where I used to live, so I didn't get to see natuwe like this befowe." Rocky walked over to Skye and Zuma while smiling towards the former. Chase saw the three of them as he arrived at the forest and went over to them with a smile on his face. He put a paw on Zuma's shoulder and made the Chocolate Lab look at him with a grin. The four of them just sat there, letting the moment sink in.
Soon after the pups had their game of tag, they went into the living room with Zuma noticing his guitar case laying next to the couch. He realized he didn't have anywhere safe to put it and looked to the others to see where he could put it. "Is there a woom I can put my guitaw in? I don't want it just sitting out here all the time."
"Yeah, I think we have a good place for it." Chase answered, signalling Zuma to come with him, and the two of them went over to what looked like a closet door. He then opened it up and revealed a massive closet, one that amazed Zuma with the size of it. "Believe it or not, this doubles as the garage for Ryder's motorcycle, AND a closet, hence why it's so big compared to most actual closets."
Zuma didn't mind the massive size and set his guitar by the door on the inside, being glad to have a place to store it. "Thanks dude. Let's hope it's safe in here."
Chase nodded in response as he and Zuma went back into the living room as Rocky spoke up about Zuma's guitar. "So you're the music type I see."
Zuma flinched upon mention of that as he then showed sheepishness towards his guitar playing hobby. It was clear that the way others treated it made him reluctant to show it to others. "I wouldn't say I do it often enough to be good. My pawents gave it to me fow my fouwth biwthday. I don't usually get a lot of time to pwactice."
Rocky showed worry for Zuma as he observed his body language, which showed embarrassment and concern in his eyes. "So, you mostly hold onto it to remember them after the incident, and nothing else?"
Zuma wasn't sure what to say with Skye chiming in right there. "Maybe we could hear you play sometime when you get better! We could always use some music around here."
Zuma did feel a little better upon hearing that. He still wasn't sure if he should start playing though. "Maybe." The others could tell that Zuma's adjustment was going to take some time. It was clear to Zuma that they wanted him to feel welcome here. He only hoped it would stay that way.
Zuma was walking around town with Rocky and Richie as the two of them were taking him to where they lived so he knew where to find them. Both of them were happy to show Zuma where they lived, and Richie then announced it as the house was in view. "This is the place Zuma!"
Zuma got a look at the house and was amazed by the size of it. It was a big white house in the middle of town, and it had a beautiful garden in front of it. He'd never seen anything like it, and this was the last kind of place he expected to see something that looked like the White House. "You two live here!?"
"We sure do." Rocky replied, and then he gave him a light nudge of encouragement. "You're gonna love Mayor Goodway. Or, Diane as they said I can call her when I moved in with them."
Zuma went over to the house with Richie and Rocky with Richie coming in with them as he called over to his mother. "Mom, I'm home! Rocky and I brought a new friend!"
Mayor Goodway was cooking in the kitchen as she heard Richie and put some kind of casserole dish in the oven as she responded. "That's great hon! I'll be right over!" Mayor Goodway went over to where Richie, Rocky, and Zuma were in a hurry, and when she saw Zuma, she quickly kneeled down and started rubbing his head. "Hello there little cutie. What brings you to Adventure Bay?"
"Just twying to suwvive and I ended up here." Zuma didn't mind the head rub, but was surprised by how quickly Mayor Goodway went in for it. He was then quick to clarify his speech impediment, getting stern with Mayor Goodway, but making sure not to shout like he did with Chase and Skye. "And I'm not wetawded. (Mayor Goodway becomes stunned) This is just how I talk."
Richie and Rocky quickly took notice to the situation as Richie then clarified that it was nothing personal. "He's had a tough life before coming here. He even got attacked on the beach before Rocky and I saved him."
Mayor Goodway couldn't help feeling bad upon hearing that. The last thing she wanted was for children to get hurt. "Oh, you poor thing. No one should ever have to deal with a hard life at such a young age."
Zuma gently moved Mayor Goodway's hand as he then expressed discomfort in the sympathy. "I don't need your pity."
"At least let me serve you lunch. You're our guest after all." Mayor Goodway offered happily, and she went into the kitchen to continue preparing the meal.
Rocky then gave Zuma some advice on how to deal with the people in Adventure Bay, so they didn't start shunning him. "Word of advice Zuma. Not everyone's going to be as understanding about you randomly clarifying... that, as Diane is." Zuma scoffed, showing Rocky a more hardened and rude side than before. The last thing he wanted was to be pitied for his past.
Richie, Rocky, and Zuma had finished eating with Zuma loving the cheesy and creamy casserole Mayor Goodway made. He was fawning over it as he went up the trail to the lookout with Rocky and Richie while patting his stomach with one of his paws. "I'm tellin' ya guys. It's been waaay too long since I've had a meal that good." Zuma then let out a burp and laughed a bit as he wafted it away. "Give me more meals like that and I'll weally stawt loving it here."
Rocky and Richie laughed a bit at that response with Rocky pointing out that he'd be getting home cooked meals a lot in Adventure Bay. "Pretty much every place in this town has at least one person who cooks, so you're bound to get some delicious, memorable home cooked food wherever you go." Zuma licked his lips upon hearing that. After having to eat orphanage food and the lackluster meals his former gang provided him with, he was glad to finally get some real food. Rocky could also see a smile forming on his face. "I knew that'd get you in a good mood!"
Richie then dropped Rocky and Zuma at the lookout as he then prepared to go ahead and get back to his patrol in Adventure Bay. "Well Rocky, I'll go ahead and get back to our patrol around Adventure Bay. You can stay here with Zuma if you want. I'll call Ryder if he needs anything."
"Thanks Richie!" Rocky said happily, and then Richie headed off as he waved to Zuma and Rocky, and then the two headed inside with rocky wondering what they could do next. "Well Zuma, we have all day to hang out until I head home for dinner. What do you wanna do until then?"
Zuma tried to think of something to do as he and Rocky then overheard what sounded like a video game. When they looked to the living room, they saw that it was Skye playing Pup Pup Boogie. This intrigued Zuma, and Rocky could tell that he wanted to get a chance to try the game out. The two went over to Skye, and Zuma was quick to ask about the game. "What's this?"
"Pup Pup Boogie." Skye answered, and Zuma got a look at her score on the screen as she explained what the score meter meant. "The higher the score, the better you're doing. The key is to see how good you are at the game, and to see if you can match the song perfectly.
Zuma was impressed with Skye's skill and thought the game looked like fun, hoping Skye wouldn't mind letting him have a go. "Can I give it a twy?"
Skye finished her game just as Zuma asked that question, and she was more than happy to let him have a go at it. "Of course! Let me just see if I can find a song you can get a good groove with."
"Pssh. Scwew that!" Zuma gently shoved Skye off of the pad, surprising her as he then started looking for the song himself. "Believe it or not, my dad was a master with whythm and I inhewited his epic dance skills. I can go stwaight to the max if I wanted to."
Skye and Rocky watched as Zuma picked what looked like the hardest song on the chart, leaving Rocky worried about his chances at getting it right. "I wouldn't risk it Zuma. That song can give you foot cramps."
"I won't know until I twy." Zuma replied confidently, and despite the worried looks of Skye and Rocky, he started making moves as soon as the symbols started coming on screen. It seemed as if he wasn't at all talk with his dad's rhythm inheritance either. He was acing the game, astonishing the other two pups as he found himself rising in the scores, getting up to ten thousand in the span of a minute, as if his dance moves were nothing. Skye had to admit that she was a little jealous, but she still smiled. She was glad to see Zuma enjoying the game she loved dearly.
Zuma was reaching the end of the song, and said end called for a tailspin, which he'd never seen before. He was a little nervous upon seeing it, but he knew he couldn't back out now. He got up onto his tail and started spinning, only to spin off of the dance pad and into Rocky. The two of them ended up crashing into the chair, leading to the both of them laughing as Zuma found himself sitting on Rocky's laps (Do dogs have laps? Eh; I don't care. "Sowwy Wocky."
"No problem." Rocky replied as he and Zuma got off of the chair. "Believe it or not, I've taken worse tumbles than that; both before, and after meeting Richie. Not from lack of observation, mind you."
Just then, there was a loud pounding on the door, and a rude voice was heard from outside. "Open up Rocky! I know you're in there!"
Rocky recognized the voice instantly and when Zuma looked at him with confusion, and Skye looking with concern, Rocky spoke to them clearly, and directly. "I can handle this." Rocky went over to the front door and opened it up, and a Doberman about his age looking angrily at him. "What do you want Nicky?"
"You KNOW what I want!" Nicky snapped, walking slowly towards Rocky, who was doing his best to keep his cool. "No one, breaks up with me! NO one! Especially not for an uptight, insecure German Shepherd with a flatulence problem!"
Rocky groaned in annoyance at that, unable to stand Nicky insulting Chase the way he did. "We're friends Nicky! Chase doesn't have anything to do with why we broke up!"
Zuma couldn't help but ask, whispering to Skye while making sure Rocky and Nicky didn't notice. "Wocky's gay?"
Skye nodded her head yes, and Zuma smiled upon seeing that. He was glad to see that the pups were accepting to those who didn't like the opposite gender. Nicky was still furious however, and he pinned Rocky to the wall, which instantly hit a nerve with Zuma with Skye stepping forward to keep him from danger, feeling that Rocky would've wanted that. Nicky then looked into Rocky's eyes, being as angry as could be about the break up. "You're gonna regret the moment you broke up with me."
Nicky then punched Rocky smack in the face, further increasing Zuma's anger as Nicky then kicked him in the chest, making him wince in pain. Zuma could barely contain his anger with Nicky continuing to kick Rocky in the stomach, and he then started threatening Rocky while kicking him. "Don't!"
Zuma then started emulating Nicky's words "Don't.", much to Skye's surprise as Nicky continued to kick Rocky.
"Ever!"
"...Evew."
Nicky then landed one final kick on Rocky, pushing Zuma over the edge. "Mess with me!"
"MESS WITH HIM!" Zuma dashed at Rocky as soon as he shouted that, tackling Nicky to the ground and then pinning him down, shocking Rocky and Skye. Zuma then started punching Nicky in the face with all of his might, causing Nicky to plea for his life. "Stop! Please! get off of me!" But the cowardice Nicky showed only made Zuma want to hurt him more.
Just then, Chase and Ryder arrived home and found Zuma beating up Nicky, leaving Nicky to start bleeding, which caused Nicky to take action. Even though he knew who Nicky was, he knew Zuma wouldn't come back easily if he went any further. He rushed in, pulling Zuma off of Nicky without hesitation. "Zuma, stop! It's not worth it!"
Zuma broke out of Chase's grasp, and before he started thinking straight again, he sucker punched Chase on the right side of his jaw as hard as he could. Chase fell to the ground, leaving Zuma horrified as he snapped back to reality, and then Chase checked his jaw to make sure it still worked. He then chuckled a bit as he looked at Zuma in response to what happened. "Geez; one patrol with Ryder and ya get knocked to the ground by someone you barely know."
Nicky made a run for it, pointing to Zuma as he insulted him in horror and fled. "Keep that psycho Labrador away from me!"
Skye then went over to Rocky to comfort him, only for Rocky to gently brush her off as he spoke up, clearly hurt and emotional about the event that just happened. "I need a breather."
Rocky was leaving the lookout with Zuma instantly apologizing for what he did just now. "I'm so sowwy."
"Don't worry about it." Rocky responded, leaving the lookout and leaving Zuma feeling awful about what he just did. He really just did that. He went berserk in front of his friends and sucker punched Chase in the jaw. He felt he was really in for it there.
A couple minutes later, Zuma was by himself in the living room, and he was heading over to the garage to get his guitar. He then went over to the couch and looked around to make sure no one else was there before sitting down and opening up his guitar case. His guitar was his main source of comfort, and as he took it out, he breathed in through his nose and out from his mouth before he started playing. He strummed a slow melody, one that gave a conflicted and scared vibe, showing what Zuma currently felt as he then started singing I'm Unsure.
"Evew since that day... I've thought to myself... can I twuly find happiness, aftew it all? All I did was sit, thewe... and watched it all go, down, hill... is it my fault, that my life went to fall?" Rocky then came into the lookout without Zuma noticing, and the mix overheard him singing and became intrigued. "Despite the world being covewed in stwife..." Rocky slowly walked over to Zuma as the Labrador continued singing and hid behind the chair to avoid being caught. "all I weally want is a nowmal life."
Zuma did a couple guitar strums, and then he went back to singing and playing as he thought about how today went. "But I'm unsuwe... I question it all, the, time; I'm nevew suwe... did my life reach it's pwime?" Rocky was getting a good view as to what Zuma feels all the time as Zuma continued singing. "In all of this stwife... all I want is a now-mal, life; but I'm unsuwe... did my life reach, it's, pwime? I'm nevew suwe... can I live a now-mal, life?" Zuma played another guitar strum as he closed his eyes and finished the song with a sad look on his face. "I'm unsuwe."
Zuma opened his eyes after a few seconds and looked at his guitar before sighing and questioning if he could still find a happy, normal life. He then put his guitar away before hearing Rocky's voice "I thought you said you didn't play.", and he flinched before looking to find a smiling Rocky walking up to him.
Zuma was quick to defend what Rocky just saw, not exactly sure how he should word it. "I mean, I don't know if I was THAT blunt about it. I just stawted to feel down and I thought music would cheew me up." Zuma then showed a look of concern as he saw a brief image of one of Bloodfreak's members berating him over his guitar. He then hugged the guitar case as he started begging for Rocky to leave it alone. "I know I suck at it; I'm sowwy! Please don't bweak it!"
Rocky showed a look of confusion, and then he sat down next to Zuma and decided to comfort him. "Actually, I thought you were really good. Great even."
Zuma was surprised by that, but Rocky's smile told him that it was a genuine compliment. He never faced this before, since his parents never got to hear him play, and he rarely ever got to play for the few good people he met before meeting the Paw Patrol. "Weally? You're not mad?"
"Of course not! Why would I be?" Rocky asked confusedly, not knowing why Zuma thought he would be mad about hearing him play. Zuma then looked at his guitar case sadly with Rocky putting a paw on his shoulder. He quickly figured out why Zuma was scared a few seconds ago. "I take it the other places you lived weren't kind to your playing."
Zuma nodded his head no, and then he started to talk about it to Rocky, feeling that he could trust him. "I've always wanted to play for a weal live audience. Evew since I stawted playing, I've dweamed about being up on stage, shawing my love for playing with the world." Zuma then rubbed his guitar case as he started to feel sadder. "I wish the other places I lived wanted that too. Almost evewyone I lived with befowe now hated it when I played. And some said I couldn't sing wight because I couldn't pwonounce my R's as well as they could."
Rocky thought of a way he could cheer Zuma up, and he quickly got an idea. He took out his phone and looked someone up before getting Zuma's attention. "Check this out!"
Zuma looked at what Rocky wanted to show him, and it was revealed that he found a picture of an orange tabby cat playing the piano. Zuma was confused by this, not because of the animal playing the piano, but because Rocky decided to show this to him. "A blue cat playing the piano?"
"Not just that, but the cat had a setback too." Rocky then began to explain what he meant. "This is Kousei Norman, a deaf cat who loved the idea of playing music for the people, despite not being able to hear it himself. He was able to train himself, along with his owner, who was an expert at the piano, and learn to play it to where everyone he played for was carried with amazement by his music."
Zuma liked the sound of that and laughed a bit as he smiled and set his guitar case down. "You mean this dude can play the piano without being able to heaw!? That's so cool!"
"Yep. And it shows that just because you aren't the ideal subject for playing music, you can still play for others." Rocky finished, and then he put his phone away as he told Zuma why he showed him that photo. "So that means you should still be able to achieve your dream, even with your speech impediment. You just have to put your all into it and practice as much as you can."
"I guess that makes sense." Zuma admitted, but he then showed a worried look, still not being 100% sure if he could play in front of the others. "I'm not suwe I wanna stawt twying wight now though."
"Just move at your own pace." Rocky advised Zuma, not wanting him to rush into this too quickly. "We all still have lots of time to do what we wanna do." Zuma smiled and started to feel more confident about singing and playing for the people one day. He knew he would have to start small, but it was better than starting nowhere at all.
Zuma and Rocky were now watching Tv, and it looked as if they were watching some kind of action packed anime of two lions fighting in a Dragon Ball Z style. Zuma seemed to be into it, and Rocky was glad to see his day getting back on track. "As you can probably tell, this is something I always do when I start feeling despondent. Sometimes Richie even has my favorite ice cream flavor ready for me so I don't get hungry."
"Wichie sounds like my kind of ownew." Zuma jokingly responded, making Rocky laugh a bit as Chase, Skye, and Ryder came home with Zuma being glad to see them again. "You're back!"
"Well obviously we're not moving out of Adventure Bay." Chase reminded Zuma, and the three Paw Patrol members walked over to Rocky and Zuma was Chase started speaking to the former. "Rocky, I think you'll be glad to know that I was able to apprehend Nicky and turn him in to the authorities." Chase then started to look agitated as he brought up another detail. "Though, since this is his first offense, they'll most likely go easy on him."
Rocky shrugged in response with Zuma then starting to feel bad about punching Chase again. As Chase sat down on the chair, Zuma put his paws on the arm rest of the couch as he brought it up. "I'm... I'm sowwy I suckew punched you earliew."
"Don't be." Chase assured Zuma, knowing that he wasn't thinking completely straight when he did that. He was more focused on how easily he was keeping Nicky down. "I was actually hoping you'd have that kind of strength from all the time you've spent outside of a real home. Maybe you could become an official Paw Patrol member one day."
Zuma wasn't expecting that. He had to ask if Chase was being serious. "You weally think I could help you guys save lives and stuff?"
"Maybe. The fact that you can fight definitely gives you bonus points." Chase assured Zuma, knowing that he was going to have a lot of fun with him around.
Ryder was quick to let Zuma know how joining the team actually worked however, not wanting him to get the wrong idea. "The Paw Patrol is about more than just fighting bad guys though. You also have to know how to handle yourself in disasters and stuff like that, while also being able to plan ahead, and also think on your feet."
Skye then yipped and did a backflip, getting Zuma's attention as she filled him in on one more thing. "And we'll be more than happy to help you learn the basics if you're interested!"
Zuma thought for a moment, and he gave a confident smile as he gave his response. "That doesn't sound totally dwy actually."
Zuma was taking a nap on the couch with Chase coming into the living room and letting him know that it was time for dinner. "Hey Zuma. It's time for dinner." Zuma was refusing to get up and Chase started to laugh a bit. That said, he knew he couldn't let Zuma sleep through a meal. "Come on Zuma. You can't sleep through dinner and leftovers aren't exactly an ideal first meal with the team. You have to eat."
Zuma pulled his blanket up a bit and refused to get up, even daring Chase to try and make him. "Make me."
Chase then gave a sly grin, knowing exactly how to get Zuma off of the couch. "Okay. (Turns around) Just remember that you asked for this." Chase then looked back with his butt pointed at Zuma's face as...
PFFFFFFFFFFT
...Zuma started coughing after being hit by a nasty yellow cloud of rotten eggs, leaving Chase's butt to vibrate as a five second fart exited his rear end. He then rolled off of the couch and wafted the fart away, but couldn't help laughing when he was done as Chase gave him a smug grin in response while sitting down. "I can see what Nicky meant about the flatulence problem."
"I wouldn't exactly call it a flatulence problem." Chase admitted, knowing that there was a difference between his gas and being able to control it. "It's more of a case of someone being super gassy, but at times, being able to use it to their advantage. That's another thing about the Paw Patrol too; we use what look like flaws, and learn how to use them in ways that could classify as helpful. Hehe. My butt could fill up party balloons all day if it was allowed too." Chase then continued to fart, making Zuma laugh while the German Shepherd clenched his fists and closed his eyes and let green clouds out from his rear end.
PFFT PHHT BRUP BRAT BLARP
After Chase let out the fifth fart however, Ryder spoke up while covering his nose and wafting the odor away and joking about Chase's farting. "If you're done clearing out the Lookout Chase, we should get to actually eating now."
"Yeah, good call." Chase nodded to Zuma, who nodded back before the two of them went into the kitchen to eat. The Chocolate Labrador then got a whiff of what Skye made. It was a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it all looked and smelled heavenly. He happily took a sniff as he walked over to the table with Chase knowing what that meant. "Ya like?"
"You bet I do!" Zuma exclaimed, being glad to have something good to eat, let alone a home cooked meal, sitting right in front of him. He then saw that he didn't exactly have a place to sit down. "But whewe should I sit? There's only thwee chaiws."
"Oh, right!" Skye ran over to the pantry and pulled out a chair, bringing it over to the table after Chase came over to help. The two of them set the chair down next to Skye's seat as Skye explained what it was doing there now. "I forgot to put this down earlier, but we'd love it if you started eating with us."
Zuma smiled upon hearing that, and he went over to the chair he was given and sat down next to it. "Thanks guys." Zuma then happily started eating with everyone after Ryder rubbed his head, and he really liked the taste of Skye's cooking. He then made it clear that he was liking his time in Adventure Bay so far. "I think I'm gonna like it hewe." Chase, Skye, and Ryder were all glad to hear that, and Zuma continued to eat, feeling like he was starting to call this town his true home as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
