A glowing beam of energy appears in the sky, and a woman dressed in blue cloth and animal fur slams is thrown out of it, her eyes glowing white.
"Zaheer!" she snarls as she slams through a skyscraper spinning in the air and using fire to slow her fall right before she hits the ground, painfully rolling and bouncing off the door of a car setting off the alarm.
"Quiet!" She snarls, the noise making her headache, she reaches out with her bending crushing the car with metal bending as she forces herself shakily to her feet, drenched in sweat as she tries to fight against the poison flowing through her body.
"Zaheer, show yourself!" she roars, fire flying from her mouth.
"Stand down girl!" a voice snarls from up the street and Korra looks up to find a giant of a man covered in fire.
"You're new," she says, stepping towards him and stumbling the ground rising up to catch her as she screams out in pain.
"Stop using your quirk, you're injured don't make me hurt you."
"I'd like to see you try" she snarls bringing up a massive chunk of the street and sending it at him, and Enji responds with a massive burst of flames only to find his own flames coming back at him blasting him down the street, he looks up in time to get a knee to the face knocking him onto his back the earth rising up to trap his body, he looks up to see her standing over him a massive chunk of road suspended over them.
"Now tell me, where is Zaheer?!" She demands, voice echoing and her eyes once more glowing brightly.
"Enji, it's rare to see you caught so off guard." a booming voice jokes and Korra finds the stone gone, and Enji freed at the end of the street.
"I had that, you oaf." Endeavor snarls.
"Of course you did," he says turning his eyes to Korra who kicks a torrent of air towards him, he brings his hands forward in an x the two winds meeting and canceling out.
"Zaheer sent you two here to kill me, is he too cowardly to fight me without his friends" she roars again, suddenly collapsing to her knees, coughing up blood.
"Young lady!" All Might says in shock rushing to try and help her only to be met by a torrent of water brought up from pipes underneath the street blasting him back he catches himself crossing his arms in front of him, blood seeping onto his white shirt from where the blast had hit his never healing gut wound.
"Damn it," he mutters coughing up blood as he begins to push forward, feeling ice cut into his massive forearms as the water starts to cool, Korra puts everything she can manage into the attack, All Might bringing his arms apart quickly to throw the water back once he's close enough using a burst of speed to get behind her and delivering a strong chop to her neck, sending her into unconsciousness.
"Endeavor, Did you see who attacked this girl before you arrived," An ambulance worker asks as Korra is pulled into the back of an ambulance.
"When i arrived whoever it was was already gone and the girl was destroying vehicles and public property."
"My quirk tells me how someone is injured, and she has a large amount of a metalic-based material in her bloodstream, if you find her attacker please send over the information." with that he bows turning and walking to the ambulance climbing inside and closing the door behind him the ambulance driving away towards the hospital.
Enji rubs at his chest, knowing that he would have a bruise under his uniform.
"Her quirk was exceptional," he notes to himself, knowing that she would have been a force of nature at full strength if she had this kind of strength with poison coursing through her veins.
"Yes, she seemed quite strong Enji." All might adds finally walking over.
"You're still here you oaf?" Enji mocks, and All might just laughs, the flames on Endeavor's shoulder flaring with his anger.
"Of course, I still need to speak with the police after all." All might says with a massive smile as Two officers walk over.
"We're ready to take your statements, we know how busy the number one and number two heroes must be." The younger of the two says staring up at them with awe, each of them following an officer All might say goodbye, and Endeavor ignores him.
Korra thrashes against a hospital gurney, cloth straps barely holding her down as the Red lotus poison wreaks havoc on her unconscious body.
"Call ahead, look for anyone who can control metal!" the sensor paramedic yells as he administers the final safe dose of the sedative.
"And see if Junes free, her quirks counteracting the sedative." the driver calls it through on the rigs radio as he pulls into the ambulance bay, Doctors and nurses rush out to meet them as they throw open the ambulance doors, helping move the gurney out of the ambulance and towards the hospital.
"What do we know?"
"An unknown metallic poison, dehydration, and multiple contusions." he quotes off. As they begin taking her vitals.
"We need to take her blood for testing and bring a general chelating agent, we need to get ahead of this," he tells two of the nursing assistants who both head off to do their assigned tasks. As the doctors roll Korra into a room when Korra's eyes shoot open, a bright light emanating from them as she tears out of the restraints, the hospital shaking as she uses her metal and earth bending to blow out a massive chunk of the wall taking a step forward before collapsing to her knees.
"Maam please, we're trying to help you!" a brave doctor yells and Korra looks at him, seeing the blue scrubs.
"A..healer?" she asks confused, eyes scanning the building."
"We are, we want to help you. Will you let us?" he says and pitches forward, falling unconscious one of the nurses rushes to try and catch her.
Hours pass and the doctors do all they can, managing to slow the effects of the toxin on her body and buy time to try and find a cure to the unknown poison.
"They're flying her in, she's only a few hours out now." the Doc in charge of Korra's case says hanging up the phone.
"Will she be able to afford her?"
"The number two heroes funding the girls' treatments, I think she impressed him or something."
"Who knows with Endeavor, the guys hard to read."
"I'm just glad someone can help the Girl, she can't be much older than my own daughter, who would want to do this to her?"
"Probably some villains with a metal quirk, every corner got some two-bit thug with a gimmick these days."
"Sure keeps us busy, I haven't had a day off in months."The younger of the two complains.
"If you want days off you're in the wrong line of work kid." the older one says with a laugh, standing up from her desk her knees popping as she stretches.
"Let's go check in on her.' she says as the two of them leave the office and head towards Korra's room where she is lying on a bed in a white paper smock, wires, and tubes attached to different parts of her body, and an oxygen mask on her face helping her breath.
"Kids a fighter, most people wouldn't still be around with that much poison in them." the elder says picking up Korra's charts and reading them.
"Let's hope she can keep fighting until that specialist arrives."
A woman with golden hair and silver eyes is led into an operating theater, Korra laying on a silver table in the center, nurses preparing her for the procedure.
"So you just need to touch her and you'll be able to draw the toxins through her pores?"
"Some of it, but her body has already absorbed a lot of it."
"Anything you can do to help."
"Were ready for you over here." one of the nurses says and the gilded woman walks over placing her hand on Korra's exposed midriff, her brow furrowing.
"I've never felt anything like this." she places her other hand on top of the other.
"I'm ready, bring over the collection container." someone brings over a red container with hazard written on it and she nods pulling her hands up, Korra's body convulsing violently as metallic poison begins to flow through her pores pooling in the air before she sends it into the container filling it.
"bring another," she says placing her hands down again pulling more of the red lotus poison out and filling two more containers before it's over.
"We need to send these off for testing, I need to go talk to go write down what my quirk told me about that poison," she says leaving the staff room heading towards the showers, ducking into the locker room, and sliding a glass vial full of the Red lotus poison out of her sleeve caping it.
"Someone going to pay me a lot for you."
