Cortondo Olive Orchard (Day)

"I'm telling you, Nemona. I'm not going to pick olives." a blonde boy wearing the Naranja Academy uniform told his classmate. "I'll just select which ones are ripe, then have Mimikyu take them off the vine."

"C'mon, Dominic. You bailed on swimming last week, now you're bailing on olive picking?" the girl said, tired of her friend's lack of effort in school activities.

"One, swimming would kill me. Two, these hands were not made for delicate motions!" Dominic yelled, bringing up his hands. "I excel in things that require brute force or intelligence, which is why combat is something I enjoy a lot. Picking olives means I have to very precisely move my fingers to make sure I don't either break or incinerate the vine."

"So, you're saying you can't do it?" Nemona asked, smiling coyly.

Dominic furrowed his brow in annoyance. "You duplicitous crabapple." he said, clenching his fists as he walked to the nearest olive bush. If there was one thing that could motivate him to do anything, it was insulting his pride. He crouched in front of the bush, found a vine, and placed his hands delicately around it. With a snap, the vine separated and fell into his hand. With a grin, he turned back to Nemona and laughed. "Take that!" he cackled.

"You are a complicated person." the girl said. Suddenly, a loud bang sounded from further out into the field. "What the hell was that?" she asked, shocked.

"Dunno. But at least it gives me an excuse to not care about this." Dominic said, running to the source of the explosion. As he ran, he brought out a Poke Ball and released Koraidon. As he rode on the Paradox Pokemon, he was able to get a better look at the explosion site. It was still smoking, but he could make out figure close in size to a kid around his brother's age in the center. He sent Koraidon back and raised his hand, willing the smoke to dissipate. Once it did, the smell of burning flesh was replaced with one far worse.

"Oh, dear Palkia, that smells horrendous." Nemona said once she caught up. "Meowscarada, get out here and clear this smell away!" The girl threw a Poke Ball, releasing her strongest Pokemon. It jumped onto the field with a flourish, taking a bow as it made contact with the ground. With a wave of its arm, a pink mist filled the area, and a sweet scent filled everyone's noses. "Thanks. Who is this, anyway?"

"Dunno." Dominic said, approaching the mystery teen. It was a girl, but that wasn't what he was paying attention to. She was covered in feminine products, waste, and vomit, which was the source of the terrible smell. Filled with rage, Dominic tossed a Poke Ball, releasing a Curly Tatsugiri. "Hydro Pump, gently." he commanded. The small Dragon Pokemon let out a torrent of water with similar force to a garden hose set on high. The water seamlessly brushed all of the waste away, which would later be eaten by Dominic's Garbodor. After the Hydro Pump ended, the girl was still unconscious.

"Do you think she caused the explosion?" Nemona asked.

"Maybe, but not intentionally." the blonde said, having Garbodor pick the girl up. "I think she was sent here from somewhere else. Her clothes don't look Paldean." He motioned for Nemona and Garbodor to follow him back to town. "When she wakes up, we can ask her more questions. But for now, we let her rest at the Pokemon Center. I'll set up a tent."

Cortondo Pokemon Center (Afternoon)

Taylor woke up with a splitting headache. 'Ugh. Where am I?' she asked herself, looking around. She was in a small red tent, and she was in new clothes too. A set of pajamas with a flame pattern on them. As she got out of the tent, groggy, she was greeted with a very unusual sight.

"Population Bomb!" Dominic commanded.

"Sludge Bomb!" Nemona told her Goodra.

Taylor watched as poison and a small mouse were lobbed at eachother. 'Where the hell am I?' she asked herself, slowly getting up and hoping she wouldn't be noticed. She had no idea if these Capes were Heroes or Villains.

As she walked away, Dominic noticed her out of the corner of his eye. "Stop the battle!" he yelled, stopping Maushold and Goodra in their tracks. "Our guest is up." he said with a warm smile.

"Oh, hello." Taylor said, nervous. Maushold had just climbed up Dominic's body and was now on his shoulders. "A pleasure to meet you and your... mice."

"Maushold, and thank you." the blonde said. "I'm Dominic, this is Maushold. And over there is Nemona and Goodra." The girl and her Pokemon waved at their names being mentioned. "So, what's your name?"

"Taylor." the girl said, still nervous after seeing part of the battle. "Um, where am I?" she asked.

"Knew it." Dominic said. "This is Cortondo, in the Paldea Region. I'm guessing you're not from around here, right?"

'Paldea?' Taylor thought to herself. She hadn't heard of a place like that before.

"That's the expression of a person who has no idea where they are." Dominic said with a grin. "Don't worry, you're not the first person to find themselves in a new place. I for one freaked the hell out when I first arrived in Kalos." The boy got out his Rotom Phone, pulling up an app.

"What are you doing?" Nemona asked.

"Going through my photos." Dominic said, scrolling before showing Taylor pictures of his success.

The first photo was from Kalos, when he battled against Korrina's Lucario with his Charizard, both Mega Evolved. The second was from Hoenn, a selfie with Regirock in the Desert Ruins where he caught it. The third picture was from the Alola Photo Club, where he posed with Mimikyu in front of a green screen made to look like a volcano. The fourth picture was in Galar, with Dominic imitating Leon's Charizard Pose in front of his own Gigantamax Charizard. The fifth picture was in Kanto, a selfie with Dominic riding on Charizard's back as it flew over Cinnabar Island. The sixth picture was in Hisui, in the photography building. Dominic was sitting on a bench, with Gyarados curled up in front of him. The final picture was in Paldea. Dominic, Arven, Penny, Nemona, and all of their Pokemon were together for a group photo.

"Wait, when was that last one taken?" Nemona asked, not remembering the group picture.

"Unimportant." Dominic said, not wanting to divulge the real answer, as doing so would land him in prison for the next hundred years. "Anyways, ours is a world inhabited by creatures able to do the impossible. Each of these photos shows one or more of them. These creatures are called Pokemon, and let me tell you that there is literally no place in this multiverse where they cannot be found." The boy brought out a Poke Ball, throwing it into the air and releasing Charizard.

"Holy crap." Taylor said, surprised by the sudden appearance of the Flame Pokemon.

"Ah, right, you've never seen a Poke Ball before." Dominic said. "I digress. Pokemon are incredible beings, able to do anything your mind can imagine. Charizard, Fire Blast!" Hearing its trainer's command, the Pokemon let out a ball of flame that exploded in the air, scattering harmless embers around the area. "I've seen Pokemon able to do things as simple as breathing fire, to things as impossible as tearing space itself to shreds. Despite this power, Pokemon are willing to work alongside people they trust." Charizard gladly allowed its horns to be pet by Dominic.

"So, you aren't Masters?" Taylor asked, confused by everything.

"Technically yes, but I have a feeling that's not what you're talking about." Dominic said. "You never did say where you were from."

AN: Yep. We're doing this. I don't know why, but we are. Reviews about what you think will be greatly appreciated. Also, please include your favorite Paldean Pokemon and why it's your favorite.

Example: Maushold, because it's cute and it's unassumingly powerful. Case in point, combining Population Bomb, Loaded Dice, and the Technician Ability.
