Historia the Almighty One!
A/N: Don't think of it as a game or job opportunity, but as a life where you have carte blanche and am the master of your home.
He was a man who tried many things to change people's fates. He gave the damned a second chance to change their ways, retuned life to the dead, condemned the guilty for their sins, even offered to impede great enemies or former friends and allies while former enemies joined together for a common cause did what they needed to do in order to change the course of their lives. And now, as he observed a young girl being abandoned by her mother just for existing, seeing the mother had no trace of any measure of affection towards her own child, and he had a new idea to change the girl's life and the lives of other people in her world.
"It's not every day you get an opportunity of this sort," he expresses as he holds up the sphere displaying the girl. "Let's see what you can do with the blessing of a being that believes in change and redemption…Historia Reiss."

As her mother left that day, Historia didn't understand why her mother treated her with such dislike.
"You look like you're in need of a friend, young lady," she heard someone say to her. "Over by the fence."
Historia looked over by the fence and saw a dark-skinned man tinkering with something on one of the supports. Going closer, she saw that he was manipulating the opposable limbs of a small figure that resembled a woman with blond hair.
"It's nice to meet you, Ms. Reiss," he greeted her.
"How…how do you know who I am?" She asks him.
"I've been aware of your existence for quite some time now, and you're a rare person among the people here. Actually, you might be the only person here right now that I wish to offer something of remarkable value to."
"You…you want to give me something?"
"That's right."
"What is it?"
"A job. A job that only someone like you can be entrusted with."
"Like helping around the farm?"
"No, but you're close. What do you know of the person people address as God?"
"That…he sees all…and knows all."
"Omnipresent and omniscient, all-seeing and all-knowing. If you could ask God a question, anything you wanted to know without repercussions, anything at all, what would you ask of him, young lady?"
"I… Anything?"
"Anything."
"I guess I would ask…if my mother really cares about me."
Brother Correction smiled at her honesty and then handed her the doll he had with him; he had every intention of giving it to her from the beginning.
"People believe that there exists more than one person by the name of God," he tells her, "but the truth is that, because God is all-seeing and all-knowing, two of his many gifts and curses, he can do all that he desires to create existence as we all know it. He can splinter himself into lesser beings of equal status in divinity and still be known as the most important person in our lives. He can make or break societies, start and end conflicts. But he lives with a rule that nobody can go against. Not even himself. And that rule is…God is infallible."
"What does that mean?"
"It means that…no matter what happens to anyone in the world, God is without fault in our lives. No matter what we say or think or do, when we stumble and fall, when we fight or die, God is blameless due to our choices. We are among God's many, many children. We live within the world that God has created, which is just one of many. We live with the fate that God has chosen…and we can't go against his intentions…but we can live within his intentions. And it's because of this that I'm here to offer you a job that only you can do because I trust you above all others here."
"What…what do you want me to do, sir?"
"Whatever you want to do, Historia, just like God can. When I walk past that tree over there (he points over to a tree nearby), you will be endowed with a portion of my power. It'll be up to you to decide what you choose to do with it. I hope you have a good night's sleep."
He then turned to walk away, leaving Historia with the doll…and some confusion. But he meant what he said to her; as soon as he went past the tree, she would be granted a portion of his power. Even in terms of fracturing his total sum, just enough to fill a cup of water was still equivalent to possessing all of what he could do. He neared the tree…and walked past it, endowing the young girl with his power. Now, it was up to her to decide what she would do with it for the time being.
But I'll still be around in case she needs guidance on anything she has no clue on what to do, he thought as he disappeared from sight.

For all intents and purposes, Historia slept like a baby last night. It might've been because she had the doll the stranger gave her, which was one of the first random acts of kindness she had ever been granted before by a complete stranger in her life. When she awoke the next day, she was saddened that it was raining outside; just yesterday, it was sunny and clear. Looking out her bedroom window, Historia wished the rain would stop and let the sunshine out.
A moment later…the rain ceased…and the sun was shining through the clouds.
"Hmm?" She reacted; it was as though a wish had come true.
Going outside, she felt the ground, which should've been wet from the rain, was dry as it had been the day before. Even as she kicked it a little, all she found was more dry dirt. She walked over to one of the trees and sat beside its trunk to look up at the parting clouds. She imagined one of them shaped like her mother's face…and suddenly, one of them did start to resemble her face.
"Oh, my God!" She heard her grandfather gasp, pointing towards the clouds, seeing the face of his daughter, and then he ran back into the house to get his wife.
Historia imagined two more clouds with their faces…and when her grandparents came out of the house, they were shocked by their faces being in the clouds.
"Aaah!" Her grandmother gasps, and Historia couldn't help but find some humor in what they couldn't explain.
Of course, it was funny, seeing things that couldn't be explained in the sky. And then, just because she felt like the day couldn't get any worse for people, she imagined the clouds forming a simple sentence that was meant to install a sense of elation in people. Seconds later, the clouds in the sky began to form letters that made up her sentence.
Have a nice day, everyone, they read when put together.
"Aaah!" Her grandparents reacted and ran back inside the house.
"It doesn't seem like your grandparents are open to things like that," she heard the voice of the stranger from yesterday, and she turned her head to see him looking around from behind the tree. "Are you having fun so far?"
"Mister, I… I was only…"
"You're not in any trouble, Historia. I'm just asking if you're having fun."
"Yes, sir."
"That's good. I'm happy for you. Are you free to walk a while with me? It doesn't seem like your grandparents are going to be worried that you left for a while."
Historia got up and followed him.

Alma was surprised by what she saw in the sky. First, it was raining, then it stopped, and soon after…she saw the clouds take on the faces of herself and her parents…followed by a series of letters that read for people to have a nice day.
"What was that all about?" A man asks. "Clouds rarely look like anything and they don't shape into words so suddenly."
Even she couldn't explain it. It was like…an omen of sorts had occurred.

"…So…I actually did that?" Historia asks the man as they walk beside a lake. "With the clouds, I mean?"
"Yeah, that was you," he answers. "You think it, and it becomes real. Some call it reality warping, the ability to remake the world as you see fit. It's one of the few basic abilities few have made use of and even fewer have come to accept without some sort of spite. For example…"
He jumped onto the lake…and Historia saw the water turn into a pink substance that he bounced on a few times.
"Come on, Historia," he calls out to her, jumping around. "It's okay."
She stepped onto the substance and it felt like…some sort of stretchy material that could hold her weight. She jumped up and went high.
"Ah-ha-ha!" She laughed.
They jumped up and around for a few minutes until they got off the lake and it returned to normal, like it was never changed.
"That was…that was amazing, mister," she tells Brother Correction. "What else can I do?"
"Whatever you can imagine, Historia," he informs her. "You think it, you see it, you make it real. You see birds dancing, birds will dance. You see people being cheerful, people will be cheerful. But there are only two rules you need to follow."
"Rules?"
"Yes. But they're easy to follow."
He sat down on a log nearby and gestured for her to sit with him, and she did.
"Okay. Right now, you're basically like the person people refer to as God," he started. "God is infallible. Right now, you're infallible; whatever you say or think goes, and nobody can go against any of it. You have my powers. You can use them in any way you choose. The two rules you have to follow are these: First up, you can't tell anyone you're like God. Trust me, you don't want that sort of attention, and not everyone will be tolerant towards you. And second, if something terrible happens, like someone dies because of an unjust war or an invasion, you can do whatever you like to change things so that nobody dies a terrible death. It's better when people die of natural causes, such as sickness or old age. When it's truly their time, you'll know."
"Don't tell anyone about this…and fix something that goes wrong," she repeats. "Is it…okay if I ask why and how?"
"Of course it's okay to ask. That's the beauty of what you can do now. And I'll be around in case you need my help."
He then got up and walked back onto the lake, but this time the lake water didn't change; he just walked on its surface like it was as solid as they ground itself.
"Wow," Historia gasps as he disappears.
She gets up and walks away from the lake…but then realized that her thought of going back to the farm was as simple as a girl obeying her grandparents…when she now had the ability to do whatever she wanted…and she wanted to do something else. If she was like God, then she didn't need permission from anyone she didn't want it from. The world was open to her now; she could go wherever she wanted…and do whatever she wanted so long as she followed the two rules laid out in front of her. She walked through the woods…and was suddenly walking down the streets of Ehrmich District of Wall Sina. There was a fountain nearby…and a thought occurred in her to make it do something spectacular.
Dance, she thinks, and the water that was flowing out into the pool rose up and took the shape of seven women in flowing dresses spinning in circles around the fountain.
"Whoa!" A man gasped as the people gathered around to observe.
With a smile on her face, she walked past an elderly man who needed a cane just to walk. Thinking whatever ailments he had that made walking difficult for him, she wished him to walk like everyone else around him…and he suddenly felt like he had an extra step in his right leg that he dropped his cane.
"I haven't felt like this since my accident eight years ago," he spoke up, hopping around on his feet like a happy kid.
She saw that the elderly would smile, Historia thought as she walked past a woman with a bulldog that looked anything but cheerful. Oh.
She looked up at the woman and asked what was wrong with her dog.
"She's been this way since I gave her litter away last week," the woman told her.
Historia then realized something new.
"She's upset because you took away her babies," she tells the woman. "She feels miserable not knowing if they're happy or not."
"How could you possibly know that?"
Instead of answering, Historia merely thought of this dog's pups being returned to her.
"Hey! Hey! What's wrong with these things?!" A man yelled as seven bulldog pups ran towards the big bulldog that was unhappy.
She found herself surrounded on all sides by the pups and immediately laid down on her left side. If these were her pups, then she was very happy to be with them again.
"A good mother always wants to be with her babies," Historia tells the woman and walks away with a smile.
And as she did, a strange sentence ran through her conscious mind. It was some exhilarating feeling of freedom and opportunity after a long time of feeling oppressed by others.
I've got the power? She thought, walking past a statue of a woman cradling a small child, imagining it with golden eyes that twinkled. Yes, I do. I've got the power. I've got the power!
To be continued…
A/N: An adventure with humor because everyone needs a good laugh that helps every now and then. If you gave someone god-like powers and enabled them to do whatever they wanted, but mainly because you wanted to believe that they could change the world they live in, who would you give them to and why? And how far would they feel they need to go? This isn't over yet.
