Alan sits down above the chasm. I sit down beside him as well. I feel warm with him so I try to sit closer . He tilts his head to look at me . His perfume is really heavy and I cover up my nose
"You don't like my perfume ?" Alan frowns
"I am sorry. It's just my nose is very sensitive." I shake my head
"I remembered that I Saw you once on the beach. You seem not to remembered anything." Alan sighs.
He knows that he saw me once but I know nothing.
"I forget everything before 13. I am adopted by Jeanine . I don't remembered anything Alan." I say
"Remembering one thing is very important: pretend that we never see each other before while training because that is going to protect you." Alan wraps his arm around me
"Why are you helping me ?" I blink my eyes
Alan sighs . I know that he is doing that on purpose
"I can't tell you right now . Focused on yo training first okay?"alan stands up." You should go."
I leave very quickly. I encounter Amar and Abby on the way
"Hey Delia." Abby hugs me .
"Hey Abby, where did you go?" I ask
"No where , I saw you sneak out of the cafeteria . Are you okay?" Abby asks me
I nod at her . I know that she saw me and Alan
"You should go back to dorm now Abby. I have to talk to Delia ." Amar pats her on her back.
"Sure Amar . I will and good night ." Abby giggles
After Abby leaves , Amar looks at me seriously.
"You really don't know Alan?"'Amar says
"I lost all my memories before 13 Amar. I don't know how to tell you that but I do feel familiar with him." I nod at him
"However he is right. You have to try to stay away from him and ted as much as possible." Amar says." Ted shouldn't be your instructor . I don't think that he is the best choice because of you." Amar shakes his head
I am wandering why isn't he the best choice ?
"Why is that Amar! What's wrong with him being my body guard and now be the instructor ." I shrug." I asked my mom to ask for a better position for him " i say
"Because they all know your relationship with him and once your rank is there . If it's too high , then they will think that it is because Ted knows you much earlier . Jealousy can kill a person." Amar sighs." Be careful."
I turn around and go back to the dorm. Abby looks at me . She seems to like Amar . Is she jealous now?
"Hey I am back." I sit down beside Abby
"Hey Delia." Elizabeth comes and drags me toward her bed." We are playing poker card game ."
"I don't know how to play it." I shake my head
They all look at me . Especially William who is also from erudite .
"How ? All erudite knows how to play it?" William argues
"I didn't learn how to play . I don't like it."'I say
"Maybe I can teach you." William giggles
They start to give up the card and they start to help me to learn how to play . Very quickly , I know how to play it so we start to play . I played very well even though I only win twice
"Good job." William claps his hand."'you are good at this ."
"Thank you." I say
It is time for sleeping . Tomorrow we will start the first session training. I lay down on the bed . Elizabeth is sleeping left side to me and Abby is right side to me
"Good night." I smile
"Good night." Abby says."
I close my eyes and very soon drift into sleep. In my dream , I am in an ocean. I look down and I can't see my legs . The only thing I can see is that my legs became tail. God am I a mermaid ? Mermaid is a legendary story .
When I wake up, it is already second morning . Everyone are already up and I sit-up as well
"Let's go get some breakfasts so we can eat." I clap my hand
"I don't know what do they have for breakfast . I don't want hamburger anymore." Christina shakes her head
"I think that they also eat bread." I explain."that's what my mom told me ."
We sneak out of the room. Amar and ted are walking behind us
"Almost late ." Amar hurries us
"Yeah we will be there soon. 30minutes ." I roll my eyes
We rush to cafeteria and grab some muffin. They are banana chocolate chips flavour . I have seen erudite baked them but I was never allowed to eat them. They are only for leaders but not for their kids .
"Delicious ." I bite one piece." Erudite baked them but they are only for authority•
"So bad." Jeremy complains."!"erudite are for sure very selfish ."
"However too selfless is also not good ." I say
I finish my muffin and we all pile into the training room right on time
"Right on time ." Ted looks at his watch.
"Yeah but we are not late ." I lift my chin
"Be careful next time , I want you guys to be up early." Ted smirks at me ." So I am going to talk about the rule first."
I am curious what kind of rule that we have to follow here .
"So you will go through three stages of training . The first stage is mainly physical , try to fight your body to the breaking point , second stage mainly emotional and teach you how to control your emotion when you are in the midst of the fear and third stage is mental, you have to either to conquer the fear or the fear conquered you." Ted walks back and forth." At each end of stage except stage two, there will be ranking. The ranking have two purposes . One is the order you will choose your job . Leadership, guarding the fence or stopping Factionless from fighting each other."
"The ranking system also decides who get cuts." Alan walks toward us .
"Cut?" Christina is frustrated.
Alan comes closer to her. I am next to her and I can feel that Alan is quiet annoyed .
"So at the end of each stage , the last three initiates will be leaving us ."'Alan raises his eyebrow
"To do what?" William asks
"You are not going home so you live Factionless . Your rank will be ranked with dauntless born but first stage you will train separately." Alan points at the dauntless born
"Why no one told us before ?" Abby screams
Alan rolls his eyes . I know that most of people can't accept that
"So what? If you know it before , then you will choose differently? If that's the case , you may leave now . If you are really one of us , you will not worry that you lose or not. You have chose us and now it is us to chose you." Alan claps his hand." Now ted your turn."
"Alan , comes for the meeting."
Sam is calling him. Alan turns around and runs toward the second floor
"We are going to run laps before we start the training." Ted waves at us ." Follow me ."
"How far?" I ask
"Until Factionless sector ." Ted answers.
I nod at him. I know that it is far away but I have to make it.
"Keep up the pace or you will lose the game ." Ted warns us .
We run out of the compound. The train is right here but we are not going to take it. We run as fast as we can. Very soon I am sweating because it is so exhausted .
"So energy consuming." Maria wipes her sweat off
"Yeah but I guess that is what dauntless called strength" I shrug
"Yeah that is ." Jackson nods at me .
Dauntless needs us to fight so we have to have good endurance .if we don't have good endurance then we can't fight longer . After 20 minute, we arrive at Factionless sector . Factionless men and women are sitting together .
"What are they doing?" Ted is asking a soldier
"Factionless, doing nothing." The soldier frowns
"Why you don't go near ?" Ted pats his back
I know why. Abnegation asks dauntless to leave but not everyone agree with the voting so dauntless can stay but not approaching them
"Abnegation asks us to stay away ." The soldier shakes his head
"However if they are in chaos, you have no choice. Max will deal with it. " Ted sighs." We have to go."
"See you around ted ." Soldier says
He turns around and leads us on the way back .
"They are where you will belong in the future stiff"Peter laughs
Ted looks back at us . Peter stops talking.
"Shut up."ted says
I look at four . He is quiet. I smile at him.
"Four you can do it. Ignore this asshole." I grab his arm
"Thank you Delia ." Four nods at me .
We get back to the compound . I stretch myself
"So we are going to have lunch first and this afternoon , we are going to have to learn how to shoot." Ted waves at us
We are dismissed . Elizabeth drags me with them without waiting for Abby.
"Let's go." Elizabeth laughs
"Why are you so exciting?" I say.
"No reason. I am always this happy." Elizabeth wraps her arm around me .
I like her personality . I believe that everyone also like her .
We enter the room . Today's lunch is sandwich.
"So Boring the food " Christina complains
"If you can make to the membership, then you can cook yourself ." Alan smirks
Christina lowers her head . They seem scared of him.
"Why are you guys all scared of him?" I look at them curiously.
"It is because that he is very strict."
Christina shakes her head. I know that Alan is cold blooded
"He is the most cold blooded leader in dauntless so far." Maria shivers."be careful with him."
