Everyone is now assembled in the main lodge after everyone got into their cabins. Kari picked up a megaphone and stepped up onto a chair. "Hello ladies!" She called cheerfully into the megaphone. "My name is Kari Kamiya-Takaishi, your head head counselor and welcome to Camp Walden!"
"Whoa!" Linka's eyes grew, turning to Kiara. "I didn't know your aunt was going to be a counselor, let alone the head counselor!"
Kiara shook her head with a roll of her eyes. "I didn't know either. I bet it's my dad's way of keeping track of me."
Linka raised an eyebrow. "Do you really think he begged his own sister? Asking her to give up her own summer?"
Kiara shrugged. "Maybe. I don't know."

"I'm not use to wearing shorts." Sakura told a counselor. "I do have to swear a school uniform."
"There you go then." The Counselor said with a smile. "Now are you going to be ok?" She asked.
Sakura returned the smile. "Yes, thank you. My dad's from Tokyo. So I have some of that in me."
"That's great!" The counselor continued to smile. "So you know some of our culture."
Sakura nervously nods. "Yes ma'am." She hated lying to new people, but because of who her mother is and of course status, Sakura likes to make people think she gets to spend time with her father.
The lunch bell ringing, made Sakura jump.
"Hope you're hungry for camp food."
"If it's anything like cheerleading camp, I think I can manage." Sakura said with a giggle.

A few minutes later, everyone is in the mess hall. Kiara and Sakura stood in the lunch line, but in different lines as they moved down to the food. "I'm famished!" They said in union, but because it was so crowded and too loud in the building, no one payed attention.
Both lines moved along with ease. Sakura picked up a milk carton, her hand passed the strawberries and grabbed a red apple. She looked up and did a double take.
Kiara stood on the other side, staring.
Both girls just stared at each other, holding up both lines. "Hey, Kiara, move along!" Linka exclaimed, pushing Kiara with her lunch tray. "You're holding up the line, and I'm starving!"

Later. Kari closed the trunk of her car before lifting her bag and tossing the strap over her shoulder, she turned and frowned when she saw Kiara staring up at a tree, looking terrified.
"Kiara!" Kari called, moving down the flight of stairs. "Kiara!" She moved faster, but ended up tripping, when she looked up her niece was gone.

"Alright!" Hana Motomiya cheered after walking away from the front office.
Hitomi Ichijouji walked up to her. "What's going on?" She asked. "You get in trouble again and wormed your way out of it again?"
Hana huffed as she folds her arms. "No." Then. "Well, maybe." She quickly admits.
"What are you so happy about?"
"There's a new activity this year!" Hana smiles brightly. "Soccer! And the whole camp is involved."
Hitomi rolled her eyes. "Great." She then smiles. "If you're on my team, we'll win for sure! But if you're not, then be prepared to lose!"
"Oh yeah, Ichijoui!" Hana gave her a challenging look. "My dad's a soccer nerd."
"So is mine!" Hitomi paused. "Minus the nerd part."
"What's going on?" Linka asked as she walked up to them with Kiara.
"The whole camp will be participating in a soccer game next week." Hana answered. "It'll be easy with both of you. Both of your dads are soccer heads like mine."
"That sounds fun." Kiara smiled. "Count me in!"
