While continuing their journey Ash, Misty and Brock couldn't stop thinking about the experience they just went through.

"I find it amazing that we ended up obtaining some new Pokemon in a single day." Misty said, happy about her new water type Pokemon.

"I'm just glad that none of the Pokemon were terribly abused." Brock said. "I'm also happy that Damian is getting what he deserves."

Ash was not only happy with the new Pokemon he had gotten, but was thrilled to have two of the three Kanto starters Bulbasaur and Charmander.

"Hey Ash." Misty said. "Has your mom received Persian and Victreebel yet?"

She remembered that Ash said he was going to give them to her.

"Yes she has." Ash answered. "Prof. Oak said that she had fallen in love with Persian immediately and Victreebel is helpful in her garden."

"That was very nice of you to give her those two Pokemon." Brock said.

"Well I figured that my mom would want some company around the house while I'm not there." Ash replied. "Besides I thought they would make great pets for her."

Brock and Misty agreed that Ash was a good, kind kid.

Just then Ash felt the earth beneath him sink; suddenly they all fell into a hole.

"Ow! That hurt!" Ash said.

"I landed on my head!" Brock complained.

"Who dug this hole?!" Misty shouted.

Five heads appeared over the hole and they all laughed.

"That's not funny." Misty said. "We could have gotten hurt."

The heads just laughed again. Ash climbed out of the hole to see who the tricksters were. They turned out to be five Squirtle, wearing black sunglasses. One Squirtle was wearing pointy sunglasses, while the other four wore round sunglasses.

Ash took out his Pokedex.

"Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokemon. After birth, it's back swells and hardens into a shell. Powerfully sprays foam from it's mouth."

'Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. I've encountered all of the Kanto region's starter Pokemon in the last few days.' Ash thought.

"Go Pikachu." He released Pikachu from his Poke Ball to battle Squirtle.

The pointy sunglasses Squirtle, the leader of the group, stepped forward.

"Squirtle." It said, ready for a fight.

"Pika." Pikachu said, it's cheeks sparking.

Just then a siren could be heard in the distance. The Squirtles scattered very quickly. Officer Jenny appeared on a motorcycle.

"Is everyone okay?" She asked. "Anyone injured?"

"We're alright Officer Jenny." Ash replied.

Officer Jenny escorted them to her police station and explained everything.

"Those Squirtles are a gang called the Squirtle Squad." She said. "They are all Squirtles who were abandoned by their own Pokemon trainers. So now they pull pranks and steal from everyone. It's really sad; the truth is if they had caring trainers they wouldn't be acting like this."

The gang took a break in town.

"I've thinking about something." Ash said. "I've decided to capture one of the Squirtles."

"Yeah I'll catch one too." Misty said. "I've always wanted a Squirtle."

"But what about the other three?" Brock asked.

"Um excuse me." A new voice behind them said.

It was a boy around the same age as Brock.

"My name is Michael and I heard you were planning to capture the Squirtle Squad."

"Do you want to catch them as well?" Ash asked.

"Yes." Michael said. "The truth is I know some of the Squirtle Squad."

"I actually witnessed three of their trainers abandon them." He explained. "They kept on saying that Squirtle aren't any good compared to their evolved forms."

"That's incorrect." Ash responded. "Squirtle have the potential to be just as strong as Wartortle or Blastoise."

"I know." Michael said. "But their trainers didn't. So they discarded them like trash."

"That's horrible." Misty stated. "It's no wonder the Squirtle pull pranks on people."

"I wanted to catch them after their trainers left." Michael continued. "But after what they had just gone through, they didn't trust me and ran off. I still wish to capture those three Squirtle and raise them well, so do you mind if I come with you?"

"Sure." Ash agreed to let Michael accompany them. So they ran into the forest to find the Squirtles.

They came across the Squirtles swimming in a pond. Michael was about to step forward when a net was suddenly thrown over the Squirtles. When the net caught the Squirtles, it zapped them.

"Ha ha ha." Three voices laughed.

"Team Rocket." Ash growled.

"Who's that?" Michael asked, in shock over what just happened.

"They're crooks who steal Pokemon." Ash explained.

"Pretty nice work." Meowth said.

"These nets did the job well." Jessie said.

"The best part is that these nets are electrical." James said. "And electricity is strong against water. Since we caught the Squirtle Squad with this net we should use this to capture other water type Pokemon more often."

"No you won't!" Michael shouted, running out from behind the trees. "If you think I'm letting you get away with this, you're sadly mistaken."

"Ha you and what army?" Jessie smirked.

"This one!" Ash, Brock and Misty shouted at the same time.

Team Rocket was shocked to see them again.

"Let those Squirtles go!" Misty shouted.

"Not happening twerpette!" Jessie exclaimed. "Go Ekans."

"Let's go Koffing." James said.

"Leave this to me." Michael said. "Go Psyduck and Sandshrew."

Ash looked Psyduck up.

"Psyduck, the Duck Pokemon. While lulling it's enemies with it's vacant look, this wily Pokemon will use psychokinetic powers."

"Ekans use Poison Sting." Jessie commanded.

"Sludge Koffing." James said.

"Psyduck, Water Gun. Sandshrew, Swift." Michael said.

While the fighting was underway, the Squirtles were watching what was happening. Three of the Squirtles; who wore rounded glasses were looking at Michael. They remembered him; seeing him trying to rescue them brought tears to their eyes.

'This human is so nice.' They thought.

"Psyduck, Psychic." Michael commanded. Psyduck tossed Team Rocket and their Pokemon away.

"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted.

Ash then cut through the net in his dragon form.

"You're free to go." He told the Squirtles.

The three Squirtles that kept an eye on Michael walked up to him. Michael saw them and bent down to their level.

"I take it you remember me huh?" He asked. The Squirtles nodded.

"Listen Squirtles I know what your trainers did to you was wrong, but I will never betray you or abandon you. Come with me and let's become strong together and stay together forever." He extended his arms out to them. The Squirtles hesitated for a moment, took off their glasses revealing teary eyes and leaped into Michael's arms.

"I've finally caught you." Michael laughed.

Ash, Brock and Misty smiled at the scene. Ash then turned to the leader of the Squirtle Squad.

"Do you want to come with me and become strong?" He asked.

Ash then released Corvisquire from his Poke Ball so it could greet Squirtle.

As soon as it was out of the Poke Ball, Corvisquire then started to glow white and got bigger.

"Corvisquire's about to evolve." Brock said.

When the light faded, Corvisquire was now a large black bird with a armored beak.

Ash looked it up on the Pokedex.

"Corviknight, the Raven Pokemon and the evolved form of Corvisquire. This Pokemon reigns supreme in the skies of the Galar region. The black luster of it's steel body could drive terror into the heart of any foe."

"Corvisquire evolved into Corviknight." Brock explained. Ash gently stroked Corviknight's armor.

"Corvi." Corviknight said.

After seeing it's companions with the other human, Squirtle decided it was time to disband the Squirtle Squad and be with humans again. Squirtle accepted the offer.

"Do you want to join my team?" Misty asked the fifth Squirtle.

"Squirt." The answer was yes.

So all was well in the end; Michael, Ash and Misty captured the Squirtle Squad. And the Squirtle Squad finally had owners that would care for them forever. After bidding farewell to Michael and Officer Jenny, Ash, Brock and Misty left the town to continue heading to Vermilion City.
