"Hey Grumpy, I think I found something." Coordinator Ash said, noticing an opening in the side of the volcano.

"Strange roar, and we're heading towards where it might be, sounds right for us." Pokemon Master Ash said, as Charizard illuminated the cavern.

"Weirder statement when you consider that we are the same person." Coordinator Ash said, sending out Typhlosion to help illuminate. "So all five of us have the uncanny draw to adventure."

"Even you Bow tie?" Pokemon Master Ash asked.

"You do realize I have the spirit of an ancient Groudon living in me, and that happened after I took on contests." Coordinator Ash said.

"TELL HIM ABOUT HOW YOU CAN SUMMON MY BODY!" The Primal Force said.

"No, I don't even know how I did that." Coordinator Ash argued.

"What?" Pokemon Master Ash asked.

"Sorry, just arguing with… the Primal Force, I know it's weird." Coordinator Ash said.

"GYOOOGA!" The roar came out again.

"Right, we should take care of that." Coordinator Ash said, walking into the cave, the roar becoming louder as they go.

"Do you think it could be a Groudon?" Pokemon Master Ash said.

"Really, Groudon?" Coordinator Ash asked.

"Hey, who knows what that is." Pokemon master Ash said.

"It's definitely not a Groudon." Coordinator Ash said, as they reached a room with lava swirling around the sides. "I don't know what that is though." He added seeing the metallic shell sticking out of the ground.

"Oof, whatever it is, I can sense a plate nearby." Pokemon Master Ash said, his eyes glowing gold.

"Let's see if the Pokedex knows what it is." Coordinator Ash said.

'Heatran the Lava Dome Pokemon, a Fire and Steel Type. It dwells in volcanic caves. It digs in with its cross-shaped feet to crawl on ceilings and walls.'

"Umm Bow tie." Pokemon master Ash said, seeing Heatran was gone.

"Typhlosion up there use Eruption!"

A spout of flames shot out just in time, countering Heatran's attack, the two pillars of flames heating up the room immensely.

"Charizard use Seismic Toss!"

Charizard swooped up, grabbing one of Heatran's legs before slamming him into the ground.

"Typhlosion use Brick Break!" Coordinator Ash called out.

Typhlosion leapt at Heatran, slamming into the legendary, causing it to drop once more.

"Charizard use Flamethrower!"

Charizard let loose a stream of flames but he seemed to be quickly weakening.

"Charizard, what's going on?!" Pokemon Master Ash exclaimed.

"Typhlosion step in with Lava Plume!" Coordinator Ash called out, as Charizard began to shimmer a golden light.

"TRAN!" Heatran exclaimed, unleashing a large amount of smoke.

"We need to get out of here!" Pokemon Master Ash said, coughing.

"Go, I can still fight." Coordinator Ash said.

"How?" Pokemon Master Ash said.

"I learned to see without my eyes." Coordinator Ash said, shutting his eyes. "Typhlosion use Brick Break!"

Typhlosion rushed forward as the others escaped, leaving only Coordinator Ash and Typhlosion to fight Heatran.

"Typhlosion use Hidden Power!" Coordinator Ash called out.

A set of orbs launched from Typhlosion's back flames, striking Heatran repeatedly.

Back outside

"Charizard? Where are you?" Pokemon Master Ash asked, as he and the two Pikachu made it out.

"GRAH!" Charizard's roar called out, sending out a stream of flames at Heatran.

"CHARIZARD!" Pokemon Master Ash called out.

A golden light erupted from the smoke as Coordinator Ash and his Typhlosion walked out moments later.

"Wh-where's Charizard?" Pokemon Master Ash asked desperately.

"I'm sorry, he, I don't think he was ever actually here." Coordinator Ash said, holding two plates. "He got rid of Heatran and then became this."

"He became a plate." Pokemon Master Ash said in shock.

"Look, I can't imagine what you're going through, losing him once, getting him back, only to lose him again immediately, but I do know what it's like to lose him." Coordinator Ash admitted.

"How'd you deal with it?" Pokemon Master Ash asked.

"Poorly." Coordinator Ash said, "I ran from my friends and family, I didn't give myself time to process it properly."

"You did get a tattoo." Pokemon Master Ash said.

"Yeah, this was my only mourning before I ran away." Coordinator Ash said. "If you want to talk about it, I'm here to listen."

"Let's just get the plates back to Jubilife, I've lost a lot already and can't focus on everything right now." Pokemon Master Ash said.

Back in Jubilife City

"What is this?" Pokemon Master Ash said, walking to the beach.

"We realized that you have lost a lot, and haven't had time to process it." Ark said, sitting by a fire.

"So we're here to talk or listen, or whatever you need." Trap Ash said.

"Guys, we still need to focus on the plates." Pokemon Master Ash said.

"And we will, tomorrow." Seer Ash said. "Right now we should remember everything we've lost getting here, it has been a long trip and we'll get back to saving the world later."

"Thanks guys, this means a lot, I've been so focused on fixing my worlds problems, I guess I never stopped to focus on my losses." Pokemon Master Ash said.

"That's what this time is for, so that you can process it all properly, and if you ever need it again, just let us know." Coordinator Ash said, as the five sat around the fire.
