Chapter 18-All hallowed evening Part 2 and the next day
Entering the hall, Harry, his brother and the girls walked through the doors, and met up with the already attending: Neville Longbottom, whom was dressed as a whomping willow Treant, speaking with his grandmother: Augusta Longbottom. After greeting her, Harry and John were then dragged off to meet the attending parents of the girls, the 1st being Hermione's parents: Rodney and Jane Granger.
After meeting the Grangers, Harry and John were then approached by: the Weasley twins who reintroduced their parents and Ginny, before the girls resumed to drag them to their parents. During the night, Hermione excused herself for the bathroom and left the hall. 10 minutes after Hermione left, the DADA Teacher came running in screeching, "TROLL, TROLL IN THE DUNGEONS, TROLL IN THE DUNGEONS?" before coming to a halt infront of the teacher table and saying softer, "Thought you ought to know?" then failing in a dead faint.
The panic that ensued from the students was pandemonium, as all except: Harry and John freaked out, before a cannon blast noise jolted everyone back into a calm state, as they then looked towards the sound and found, Madam Bones wand extended as she then said, "Everyone stay calm, Aurors come with me, the rest of you, stay here," while walking to the door with the Auror parents in the school, ignoring the glare projected at her by Dumbledore, who was going to order the students to head for their commonrooms.
Before Madam Bones and her Aurors could leave, Hermione came calmly back in the room, almost bumping into her and with a quick apology, Hermione re-joined her friends whom filled her in on the troll situation and immediately went into the arms of Harry (her parents [Whom had left earlier] were already planning going to a Halloween party), for comfort and neither noticing the appalled expression of Dumbledore.
Throughout the remainder of the night, the students continued to enjoy the party while the troll was captured and transported to a reserve via a portkey. Near the end of the night, the staff then sent the students to bed and the parents left at various times due to commitments the next morning. The next morning, Hogwarts woke up to the calls of breakfast and the day of classes, starting with Potions for Harry and Herbology for John, so with a protein rich breakfast of: Sausages, Bacon, mushrooms and eggs, served with toast and coffee (for extra energy) Harry and John retrieved their packed bags, before splitting up for their classes.
Joining Harry outside of the Potions classroom was the Gryffindors and Slytherins, where Hermione and Pavarti greeted him with a hug, while Daphne simply nodded at the start, but soon she broke when Tracey joined the hug party and dived in for a group hug greeting. While Harry was greeted, 2 people were watching with various stages of disgust but, most of it was from the inability to do anything due to various threats their family had issued.
With the thread of being forever cut off from his allowance: Draco Malfoy was forced to watch as: 2 heiresses of high ranking noble houses fawn over the boy whom lived his father's master's attack, with disgust and silence. While with the threat of his tenure at school to do his job for Dumbledore and potential forced to be on a diet if he was, Ronald Weasley was watching aghast as his best friend (in his mind) being hugged by a pair of Slytherin slimes.
In the office now turned warzone of Dumbledore, the owner was now in a rage over the fact that he couldn't use the troll incident to help foster suspicion in Harry towards his pet death eater or the whomever it was that was truly trying to steal the philosopher stone, which he moved from Gringotts to act as bait of Voldemort. Once his rage was exhausted, Dumbledore straighten his back and then repaired his office with a wand wave, once everything destroyed (with the exceptions of the Privet Drive wards monitors) were restored, Dumbledore slumped back in his seat and began to think of a new plan to deal with Harry and his lack of curiosity for the stone, summoning his stolen pensieve to delete his the memory of his previous plans and place his new plan into the basin.
(A/N: in order to keep someone from discovering his schemes Dumbledore doesn't keep them in his head, truth potion in this story work on the memories of the truth, so with them out of his head, if he is caught then they won't be able to prove it with a confession)
Outside the charms classroom, John was joined by: Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, where he shook hands with Terry Boots, before hugging Hannah Abbot and Megan Jones. Not too long later the classroom door was opened and the students were admitted into the classroom, where they found their favourite seats and Professor Flitwick continued his lesson on the levitation charm, explaining how it is different from the Loco Motis charm.
While Harrys Potion class was a: loud attempt of a quiet affair, sure it started off quietly with: Snape writing his short handed instructions on the board and saying, "You will be making the cheering solution today," as his students pulled out their cauldrons and preparation kits, before he finished, "The finished potion will be on my desk by the end of class, or you'll be here until you're finished," knowing this lesson backed into a free period. It was not even 6 minutes into the lesson before the cauldron shared by: Ron and Draco exploded in an eruption of violet colored goo and slime, causing both Ron and Draco to bark out laughing, from the goo touching them.
Once these two started laughing, Crabbe and Goyle lost their own cauldron in a more violent eruption, as the goo from Ron and Draco's cauldron land in the formers duos cauldron. Now with half the class covered in the goo, the effect started to laugh uncontrollably, but not for to long as: Snape got up from his seat as it started and began waving his wand around, casting a wide spread sobering charm and several hard core cleaning charms, before walking up to Ron and Drago's cauldron, to discover that Ron had placed the wrong ingredient in to it.
After berating Ron for 2 minutes, Snape declared his failure and ordered Draco to another group, before he commanded Crabbe and Goyle to clean the mess up, before joining Draco. Ron was then isolated with a new cauldron, told to finish on his own and to stay after class for detention. Before the class continued with several fits of giggles from the partially affected students, as the sobering charm wore off.
