Will thought he saw something between Cap and Jane. Except Steve doesn't know what Will thought he saw. And Clint and Tasha know what Will thought he saw and what they actually saw happen, but of course, they're not telling. Confused? So are Steve and Brandt. Will/Jane and Clintasha. Set after "Mission: Avengers" but probably before "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

It all started in detention. By that time, none of them was aware of what had started, or even that it in fact had started, but nonetheless, it started that day in detention. This is the story of something that started, and then kept going and growing. There was no curtain highlight, just a series of events, making them bump into eachother, again and again. The universe hates him, he's sure of it. There is no other explanation for this. So, he's just going to roll with it, like he does everything else that lands in his lap, half-exploded already.

Clint thought it would be easier after the mission, he sincerely thought, but what does he know. The Avengers themselves are looking forward to teaming up with IMF for the new mission, everyone but Clint. He just doesn't want to be compromised in this mission. IMF only know him as William Brandt, and that's good enough- they don't need to know that he's Hawkeye nor Clint Barton.

Benji had always known the world was a little crazy, and his teammates even more so, but that still hadn't prepared him for the fact of aliens invading New York, or the footage of someone who looked an awful lot like William Brandt fighting them with a bow and arrow of all things...

Seven months since Manhattan and neither Will or Clint is handling the aftermath of the Chitauri invasion well. Dealing with that on top of an old enemy with revenge on the brain is going to make recovery even harder, but these brothers have their teams' backs and more importantly, they have each other's. Clint is given a long-lasting undercover op to recover from the Loki Incident. He expected to finish it and come back home unchanged. But things never go as planned, especially for a certain Avenging Archer. Or, the one where Clint is undercover as William Brandt of IMF.

There was never just one. And to think it was all because of the coffee. Thor was stuck on Tony duty which required lots of patience and a visit to their favorite coffee shop. It's all downhill from there as they meet Not!Clint and his brand new British sidekick that seems intent on stalking the two Avengers. In other words the time that the IMF met the Avengers.

Did anyone think that SHIELD would really stay out of an incident that risked nuclear war? Brandt says goodbye to Carter and she finds out she's been re-tasked. Barton and Romanoff head back to Budapest to hunt down Moreau's associates.
