Disclaimer: I do not own Smallville, Arrowverse, DC Animated Universe, DC Extended Universe, any of the Superman films, or any other DC films or TV shows that appears in this fic.

At last, here is the fifth and final installment of the "Alternate Events" series, which will cover my own version of Crisis On Infinite Earths. It will incorporate elements from the original Crisis On Infinite Earths, Smallville Season 11, the DCAU tie-in comic Justice League Infinity (which is a direct continuation of the show Justice League Unlimited), and some stuff from the Arrowverse's Crisis On Infinite Earths.

Hopefully, everyone will enjoy this finale of the series that started off as simply a Smallville/Arrowverse crossover but eventually expanded with other DC films and TV shows being added.

Chapter 1

"In the beginning, there was only one. A single black infinitude. Then the infinitude found release, and, finally, the darkness broke, filling it with life. With the Multiverse. Every existence multiplied by possibility, and spread out before space and time in infinite measure. Civilizations rose and fell, and rose again across reality's grasping expanse. Life, a precious gift, persevering in the face of every obstacle, until, finally, the age of heroes was born."

"Chaos. The constant enemy of life kept at bay by champions from across the Multiverse, joining forces to fight on behalf of all creation. They found each other just in time... because now the entire multiverse is about to come under attack."

"There is a malevolent force at work, one driven by a singular goal. The destruction of all there is. I have planned. There are those who say I have schemed… but the time for preparation has passed. The Crisis is now upon us all."

Earth-192

Two Years Ago

A cosmically powerful golden android streaked through the distant reaches of space at tremendous speed, leaving behind a trail of bright yellow light that illuminated the darkness,

On a nearby planet, a group of green life forms known as Najarrans saw the golden figure appear on a screen in their headquarters and shuddered in fear at the mere sight of it. They knew exactly who the figure was. The all-powerful android whose god-like abilities had become legend, with stories passed, in awe and terrified whispers, from world to world.

One of the terrified Najarrans cried out the being's name in horror: "Amazo..."

The word itself, formed on a planet countless light-years away from their own, meant nothing to the Najarrans. Although, in their language, the word 'Amazo' had become synonymous with annihilation. So they sent forth a barrage of missiles powerful enough to wipe out an entire solar system at the android they perceived as a threat.

With a casual nod, Amazo willed the missiles out of existence as they suddenly vanished, causing panic on the planet below as the Najarran populace awaited fire and extinction. Fortunately for them, Amazo continued on, paying not even the slightest attention to the planet. As it turned out, they had misunderstood the golden figure's intentions, which was a given since legends were often inaccurate. Amazo had not come seeking conflict. He had come seeking answers.

In the time since he'd left Earth, the place of his creation, Amazo had gathered knowledge, experience, and even wisdom. But the android longed for something else. An answer to the fundamental questions:

"Who am I? Why do I exist?"

There was also something else nagging at him. Gnawing at him. He identified it as a sense of incompleteness. In other words, loneliness.

A loneliness that was answered by a loud, mysterious voice, which had been distant at first, but now almost deafening, that had summoned him to the borders of infinity.

"There," Amazo noted, flying towards what seemed to be a pair of doors floating in the midst of space.

He stopped in front of the doors, which then opened as a blinding white light emerged from the other side of them. Of course, the doors didn't actually exist. The place that Amazo had arrived at was some kind of quantum vortex composed of a cosmic force beyond even his refined perception, while the doors merely represented the form and function which the android had projected onto the vortex in the hopes of penetrating its mysteries.

Amazo flew into the 'entrance' of the 'doors' and found himself in a room with mirrored walls and a mirrored floor.

The android was certain that his quest had finally come to an end, only to correct himself as he thought, "No, not the end. At last, I've reached the beginning."

Once more hearing the loud, booming, mysterious voice calling his name from beyond the mirrored walls, Amazo grew annoyed, exclaiming, "That voice... deafening and unrelenting! It calls to me from behind the glass, beyond my own reflection! Why does it hold me in its grip? Why does it echo and vibrate..." He placed his hands on the sides of his head in an effort to block out the loud voice. "... in the depths of my soul?! My soul? I have no soul! I am nothing but a construct. Neither living nor unliving. Man nor machine. What am I then? WHO AM I?!"

Amazo charged at the mirrored wall with his fists outward and pounded it with all his might. As the glass shattered from the immensely powerful blows, a bright burst of white light shot out of the destroyed mirrored wall and struck Amazo, knocking him several feet back before the red lights in his eyes went out. The deactivated android floated among the ruins of the mirrored room, unmoving.

Present

Earth-89

Bruce Wayne aka Batman, who was now in his sixties and had been operating as the Dark Knight for over thirty years, drove his Batmobile through the streets of Gotham City when the red skies suddenly caught his attention. Screeching to a halt, the Bat-themed vigilante grimly looked up at the skies and saw a gigantic wave of pure white energy known as anti-matter rapidly sweeping over the world, obliterating everything its path until the entire universe was gone.

Earth-9

In San Francisco, Dick Grayson aka Nightwing watched as Donna Troy and Rachel Roth were struggling to keep the mind-controlled Conner, a Kryptonian-human hybrid clone of Superman and Lex Luthor, restrained with their golden lasso and darkness powers respectively when the skies suddenly turned red and the anti-matter wave soon destroyed this universe.

Earth-X

On the Earth once ruled by Nazis, Ray Terrill aka The Ray was flying in the air when the skies suddenly turned red and a huge wave of anti-matter consumed the entire universe.

Earth-11

In Central City, Patty Spivot aka The Flash sped around, dodging the lightning strikes that Weather Witch summoned.

"How many times have we gone through this, Weather Witch?" Patty asked. "You should know by now that you can't beat me."

"Doesn't hurt to keep trying!" Weather Witch shot back, before summoning a tornado.

Shaking her head in amusement, Patty sped in circles around the tornado, dispersing it within seconds. She then sped at Weather Witch, knocking the villainess out with a punch to the face.

The skies suddenly turned red and Patty looked up at it with an alarmed expression.

In Star City, Sara Lance aka Green Arrow had just taken down a group of thugs in an alley when the red skies suddenly caught her attention.

"Looks like it's a busier night than I thought," Sara said.

And then the entire universe was consumed by a wave of anti-matter seconds later.

Earth-14

In Gotham City, clad in his Bat-themed suit, Bruce Wayne was perched on a high-rise building, looking up at the red skies and deadly wave of white energy with a horrified expression. This youthful version of the Dark Knight was in his twenties and had only been the costumed vigilante the public was now calling 'The Batman' for a few months.

He fired a grapple hook and swung as quickly as he could towards the ground to help evacuate as many civilians as he could from the area. Sadly, he didn't get the chance to do that as the entire universe was soon obliterated.

Earth-219

In Gotham City, Arthur Fleck, otherwise known as the Joker, was sitting in the back seat of a squad car, gazing out the window and laughing crazily at the riots that were happening throughout the city.

The skies suddenly turned red and a huge wave of anti-matter consumed the universe.

Earth-66

In Gotham City, Richard 'Dick' Grayson was walking his German Shepard named Ace along the sidewalk on a cool, but nice, early afternoon. He was dressed in a warm red sweatshirt with a pattern of green, yellow, and black lines at the collar, black pants, and black shoes. Now in his seventies, Dick had retired from vigilantism almost a decade ago and was enjoying a mostly contented, quiet life with his dog, wife, and children. Unfortunately, his mentor and longtime crime-fighting partner, Bruce, had passed away of old age two years ago and not a single day had gone by since that Dick didn't think about his good friend, along with the countless adventures they experienced over the decades.

Suddenly, the skies turned red and Dick looked up at the ominous sight in a mix of concern and horror.

"Holy crimson skies of death!" the former Robin exclaimed, moments before the entire universe was destroyed.

Earth-51

A Superman who was well in his nineties but looked no older than a man in his fifties flew up towards the red skies as a huge wave of anti-matter swept over most of the world, consuming everything in its path.

"This is far beyond anything I've faced in all my years as the world's protector," the old Man of Steel noted. "Hopefully, I can stop this wave somehow."

Unfortunately, he couldn't as the entire universe was gone seconds later.

Earth-97

In New Metro, Beatriz 'B.B.' da Costa aka Fire, Guy Gardner aka Green Lantern, and Tori Olafsdotter aka Ice prepared to fend off the anti-matter wave that was destroying everyone and everything in its path, while Barry Allen aka The Flash sped off to get civilians to safety, but their efforts proved extremely futile as they and the rest of the universe were gone moments later.

Earth-167

At the Kent farm in Smallville, Clark Kent was outside chopping wooden logs with an axe. He was wearing a red and black plaid shirt with a light gray shirt underneath, dark blue jeans, brown work boots, and yellow gloves. This Clark was the spitting image of his Earth-21 counterpart, except he looked several years older and even had gray in some parts of his hair. Also, he was sweating and looked a bit tired, due to no longer having his Kryptonian powers after permanently giving them up some years ago to live a quiet life with his family.

"Hey, Clark, the girls want to show you what they made," his wife, Lois Lane-Kent, announced.

Setting the axe down and taking off his gloves, Clark headed towards the house as Lois approached him. She looked identical to her Earth-21 counterpart as well, but with lighter brown hair and was a few years older, having retired from her job as a reporter for the Daily Planet to settle down on the farm with Clark and their twin daughters.

"What did the girls make?" Clark inquired.

"A mess, and they can't wait for you to see it," Lois told him.

"Oh, sounds like a job for... us," Clark said with a smile.

Suddenly, the skies turned red and the two looked up to see a huge wave of anti-matter approaching.

"What is that?" Lois wondered in a mix of concern and horror.

"I don't know, but something tells me that my powers would really come in handy right now," Clark said, grimly. "We have to get in the house."

He grabbed Lois' hand and the two rushed towards their house. Sadly, they didn't make it inside because the entire universe was consumed before they could.

Earth-206

The Aquaman of this universe, who heavily resembled Oliver Queen of Earth-21, and his wife, Mera, who heavily resembled Tess Mercer of the same Earth, were swimming across the Atlantic Ocean when they stopped in their tracks at the sight of the red skies and approaching anti-matter wave that was disintegrating everything in its path.

"Please tell me that the end of the world hasn't come," Arthur Curry groaned in horror.

"I wish there was something we could do to stop whatever that is," Mera said, sadly.

"At least we're together in what will probably be our final moments," Arthur told her with a slight grin.

The Atlantean couple held each other and could do nothing more as the entire universe was gone moments later.

Earth-211

In Los Angeles, a pair of armed robbers exited a bank with bags of stolen money and rushed into their car. They drove off along the street, only for Wonder Woman, this version of the superheroine wearing pants with her Amazonian red, blue, and gold outfit, to descend right on top of the car's hood, smashing the front of the vehicle. She jumped off the smashed hood, walked to the driver's side of the car, ripped the door off, and grabbed the driver by the neck as she pulled him out of the car.

"Please... please don't kill me!" the robber begged in horror. "I give up!"

"Little garbage men like you never surrender willingly!" Wonder Woman snarled, slamming the robber's head against the car as he died on impact.

As the other robber in the passenger seat got out and tried to run off, Wonder Woman threw her lasso around him, pulled him towards her, and puched his the chest, breaking many bones as he screamed in agony.

Suddenly, the skies turned red and Wonder Woman looked up to see a huge wave of anti-matter sweeping over the world before the entire universe was consumed.

Earth-21

In Metropolis, Superman battled a possessed man whose skin was hideously pale gray and eyes were glowing with bright purple energy from a magical black diamond he was holding in one hand.

"Sir, I'm begging you," Clark said to his opponent. "Please let me take this fight outside the city. None of these people need to get hurt."

"I AM THE WRATH OF GOD!" the man, who was possessed by the malevolent spirit called Eclipso, declared in a monstrous voice.

Eclipso blasted Clark in the chest with a concentrated blast of purple energy fired from his eyes. Clark grunted in pain, staggered a few feet back by the evil spirit's beam.

"Red Tornado to Superman," Clark heard Tess' voice call him on his comms. "I did some digging on your possessed citizen if you've got a moment."

"I have all the time in the world, Tess," Clark responded, using a manhole cover to block Eclipso's harmful beam.

"Professor Bryce Gordon returned from a dig in Africa several days ago," Tess informed him.

"Let me guess, his big find was a giant black diamond?" Clark asked.

"Big enough to 'eclipse the sun', says the university's press release," Tess explained. "His curriculum vitae and lack of police record suggest this behavior is... new. From the intel I gathered, the good professor displayed no such abilities on-site."

"Whether he needed time to get to know his diamond, or his diamond needed time to get to know him, it might be time for the gloves to come off," Clark stated.

He flung the manhole cover at the possessed Bryce Gordon, getting the professor in the chest as Gordon was knocked a few meters back.

Clark charged forward, delivering a punch to Gordon's face. "Professor Gordon, I'll assure you I'll hold back as much as I can, but this ends now."

With that, Clark knocked the glowing black diamond out of Gordon's hand and it fell on the ground. Clark then stamped the diamond, shattering it into pieces as the possessed Gordon collapsed to his knees, the purple glow in his eyes disappearing and his skin returning to normal color.

"What... what happened?" Professor Gordon wondered in confusion.

"You seem to have lost your head, Professor Gor..." Clark started, only to get interrupted by a loud roar of thunder that sounded in the sky.

He looked up to see the skies suddenly turning red as flashes of lightning appeared.

"What's going on?" Gordon wondered.

"What's going on, Professor, is that it looks like we've got an even bigger problem than what that diamond did to you," Clark said, grimly.

In Star City, Ollie and Chloe were outside on the balcony of the secondary Watchtower as he had his arms around her pregnant belly.

"Just a few more weeks before our little Queen, pun fully intended, enters the world," Ollie said with a loving grin.

Chloe smiled back at her husband. "You've been wanting to use that line for the longest, haven't you?"

"Considering that our last little Sullivan-Queen turned out to be a boy, it wouldn't have been appropriate then," Ollie pointed out. "Now that we know that this one's a girl, my line's perfectly fitting."

"You're right," Chloe agreed. "And since we'll be living in Singapore once Mia's born, it'll be much easier to minimize her and Roy's involvement in the craziness that often goes on here in the States."

At that moment, everything started to shake as if an earthquake was happening and a loud roar of thunder erupted in the sky.

"What the hell?" Ollie exclaimed, before he and Chloe saw the sky suddenly turn red with lightning flashing in it. "What were you saying about 'craziness'?"

"I definitely don't like the looks of this," Chloe said with concern.

"Me neither, Chlo," Ollie agreed. "Time to find out what the hell this is."

He and Chloe headed inside.

In Central City, Bart and Caitlin were on the couch in the former's apartment, kissing and feeling each other's bodies passionately. Bart was dressed in nothing but a pair of red boxers and light gray socks, while Caitlin was only clad in a navy blue bikini.

A minute later, Caitlin transformed into Frost, who smirked with pleasure.

"Now it's my turn," Frost drawled.

"I am the luckiest amigo in the whole world," Bart grinned happily.

"Yes, you are, my scarlet speedster," Frost said with a mischievous grin. "Instead of just kissing, how about we do something... extra exciting."

"I like the sound of that," Bart said eagerly with a smirk.

Frost grabbed Bart's boxers, about to pull them down, when the whole apartment suddenly shook.

"What the..." Bart trailed off. "Did you feel that? I think it was an earthquake."

"It definitely felt like an earthquake," Frost told him. "Let's continue, shall we? I'm sure it'll pass."

"No," Bart said, getting up. "I feel like I have to check this out."

He sped to the window, pulled back the curtains, and looked outside. To his shock and concern, the sky was red and lightning was flashing in it.

"Ah, Frost, you gotta see this," Bart told her.

"What is it?" Frost wondered, getting up and walking over to the window. She looked outside and also saw the red skies. "That doesn't look good."

Bart sped off and returned in an instant, dressed in his Flash suit, while Frost was also now in clothes, which Bart had put on her at super-speed.

"I get the feeling this is something that requires superhero business," Bart said. "I promise, gorgeous, I'll make it up to you after we see what this is."

"You'd better," Frost told him, before Bart picked her up and sped out of the apartment.

On a rooftop in Gotham City, Batman, Nightwing (Barbara Gordon), and Robin (Dick Grayson) looked up at the lightning-filled red skies with grim and concerned expressions.

"Okay, why'd the sky suddenly turn red?" Dick asked.

"I'm really not liking the looks of this, guys," Barbara said. "What are we gonna do about this, Bats?"

"I'm gonna contact the Justice League and you two are gonna make sure people are safe," Bruce ordered, having a dreadful feeling about the sudden appearance of the red skies and lightning that were clearly cosmic in nature.

Earth-192

Wally West aka The Flash was racing through the streets of Metropolis, on his way to the Metro Tower headquarters after receiving an alert from his teammates.

"Beautiful girl... hot date... locked lips... distress call... hasty exit..." the speedster hero rambled. "Run, Flash, run!" With a sigh, he added, "There had better be some major crisis or I'm gonna be very..." He skidded to a halt upon entering the main room of the Tower, surprised by the sight before him. "Huh?!"

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Vixen, Shayera Hol, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Booster Gold, Elongated Man, Fire, and Ice were all gathered with a huge red cake with a yellow lightning bolt candle on top of it on a table nearby. Green Lantern had used his ring to conjure, in bright green letters, the words 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!'

"SURPRISE!" all the heroes exclaimed in unison.

Flash stared around in disbelief. "A surprise party? Nobody's ever thrown me a surprise party before! Not even my own family!"

Wonder Woman walked up to him and patted his shoulder. "We are your family, Wally, and it's an honor for us to celebrate this special day with you."

Flash blinked, wiping an eye. "I... I think I'm getting a little misty. You guys... you're the best!"

"For the record, I hate birthdays," Batman stated.

"You'll have to forgive him, Wally," Wonder Woman said. "He has a difficult time expressing his feelings." Turning to Batman with a smile, she asked, "Don't you, Bruce?"

"You would know," Batman pointed out.

"Hey, hey, keep your paws off my cake!" Booster Gold exclaimed to Elongated Man, who had stretched his hand out in an attempt to grab one of the pieces of cake from the former's plate.

"Booster, Ralph, behave! No need to act like children!" Green Arrow told them.

"Since when you've become the voice of maturity around here?" Black Canary asked.

"Come on, pretty bird, I've always been mature," Green Arrow replied, defensively. "I've been called the voice of reason several times after all."

"I know," Black Canary said with a grin. "You of all people should know how to take a joke."

Sometime later, Green Lantern walked over to Shayera and Vixen, who were conversing with each other. "Uh, what are you two talking about?"

"Shayera was telling me about her recent trip to Themyscira for an Amazonian meditation retreat with Diana," Vixen explained to her boyfriend.

"Really?" Green Lantern asked, not entirely convinced.

"Oh, I know that look," Shayera said. "John thought we were talking about him. The ex and the current girlfriend comparing notes. It may be hard for you to fathom, Mr. Stewart, but you're not the center of the universe."

"B-but... I... I didn't..." Green Lantern trailed off, not sure how to respond.

"Yes, you did," Vixen said, putting an arm around him.

"Maybe a little," Green Lantern admitted.

"Come on, handsome, I need to dance," Vixen said, before she and Lantern walked off.

Shayera turned to the window, looking down with a thoughtful look. "Why do I let him get under my skin like that? What John and I had together is over and done with. It was right for us to go our separate ways. I wanted it. We both did. So why do I..."

Suddenly, the entire building shook, snapping Shayera out of her thoughts. The Thanagarian looked up, letting out a gasp of concern and shock as the skies turned red.

"What in the name of..." Shayera trailed off, before turning towards the others. "Everyone, we've got a problem!"

The other Justice Leaguers rushed over and stared outside to see lightning crackling ominously in the red sky.

"Are those red skies a sign of another apocalypse-level threat?" Flash wondered. "If that's the case, I am so not ready for it."

"Stay sharp, everyone," Superman instructed. "If this is a sign of someone arriving on this planet to cause trouble, we'll be sure to bring them to their knees."

The Monitor's realm

Mar Novu was standing in his chamber, monitoring the current happenings on the remaining Earths across the Multiverse when Amazo of Earth-192 appeared behind him in a blinding flash of yellow light.

"The Crisis has begun," the ten-foot-tall golden android announced.

"I am aware of that, Amazo," The Monitor replied. "You know what you must do and which champions of the Multiverse to bring together."

"Indeed," Amazo said. "At last, the time has come for my redemption and fulfillment of what I now know is my ultimate purpose."

He disappeared in another bright yellow flash of light and proceeded to transport heroes of several Earths to the Metro Tower on Earth-192.

The cameos of the Earths that got destroyed in this chapter include: Earth-89 (Burtonverse Batman films), Earth-9 (Titans TV series), Earth-X, Earth-11 (a world similar to Earth-1, but with the roles of The Flash and Green Arrow filled by their respective love interests), Earth-14 (Gotham TV series), Earth-219 (Joker 2019), Earth-66 (Batman 1966), Earth-51 (Adventures of Superman), Earth-97 (home of the failed Justice League of America film), Earth-167 (a variation of the Smallville universe as shown in the Arrowverse's Crisis), Earth-206 (home of the failed Aquaman pilot starring Justin Hartley), and Earth-211 (home of Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman from the unaired 2011 pilot).
