Chapter 7
Earth-923
In the 31st century, Superman and the Legion of Superheroes stared in horror at the massive wave of white energy that was moving relentlessly across the red skies at disturbing speeds.
There was nothing any of the young heroes could do to stop what was happening as their entire universe was soon wiped out of existence.
Earth-2515
Krypto the Superdog, Streaky the Supercat, and Ace the Bat-Hound were terrified by the sight of the massive white energy that was swiftly consuming the world, which was soon gone.
Earth-3910
The Teen Titans of this universe, who looked very similar to their Earth-193 counterparts but behaved in an exaggeratedly silly and immature manner, prepared to battle a gigantic robot controlled by their nemesis Slade, who was inside it laughing evilly.
That was when skies suddenly turned red as a huge wave of anti-matter approached at great speed.
"ARGHHH! Look! Up in the sky!" Robin exclaimed in great panic.
"Gosh! That looks terrifying!" Beast Boy also panicked.
"We have to do something or we're all going to die!" Starfire cried out.
"Titans, get ready for action!" Robin instructed.
Unfortunately, there wasn't anything they could do as the entire universe was soon wiped out of existence.
Earth-193
Kid Flash was racing towards Jump City, on his way to alert the Teen Titans about the mysterious red skies and deadly wave of white energy that was consuming everything in its path.
The teen speedster barely arrived on the island of the Titans Tower when the wave disintegrated him and, soon afterwards, the entire universe.
Earth-194
The Batman, Robin, and Batgirl stood on a rooftop in Gotham City, staring in complete horror at the approaching anti-matter wave.
"Can we stop this?" Robin asked.
"I don't think so," The Batman answered, regretfully. "We don't even know the cause of this."
"I wish there was something we could do," Batgirl said with a sad sigh as she, Robin, and The Batman looked down at the fleeing civilians below while the dead wave rapidly grew closer and closer.
Moments later, the three vigilantes were disintegrated and, soon, the entire universe was no more.
Earth-408
Batman, who was wearing powerful armor with his suit, was in an intense battle with Superman, who was currently under the influence of red kryptonite. Batman delivered a punch to Superman's face and followed up with a kick, staggering him back. Superman retaliated with a blast of heat vision, which Batman managed to dodge. Charging forward, Batman leapt and flipped over Superman, placing three pellets upon the Man of Steel's chest. The pellets exploded, but, naturally, Superman was completely unaffected.
"Some superhero," Superman sneered with obvious contempt.
Batman flew at Superman, performing a combo of two punches and a kick that knocked the latter on the ground. As Batman panted from exhaustion, Superman rapidly recovered, charged at Batman, and smashed a punch into the Dark Knight's face. The blow sent Batman flying back and landing on the ground, while the front part of his armor's helmet fell off his face.
Grabbing Batman by the top of his head, Superman lifted him up with one hand.
"I'm not your enemy, Superman," Batman attempted to get through to his friend/teammate.
"All who oppose me are my enemies," Superman declared, disdainfully.
"Look at yourself," Batman said. "What would Ma Kent think?"
"Ma?" Superman repeated as his expression softened for a moment. Glaring once more at Batman, the Man of Steel snarled, "How dare you?"
Batman grunted as Superman began to slowly crush his skull, which was protected by the remains of his armor's helmet that covered his head.
Thankfully, at that very moment, the effects of the red kryptonite, which lasted for twenty-four hours, suddenly disappeared as Superman's mind immediately snapped back to normal.
As Superman released him, Batman pressed a button on his gauntlet and the crushed armored helmet fell away from his head, leaving only his usual cowl.
"Are you all right?" Batman asked, rubbing his head.
"Yes, I... I think so," Superman answered as he felt extremely guilty for his actions. "I'm sorry, Batman, I... don't know what came over me."
Suddenly, the skies turned red and the two heroes looked up with great concern.
"What's going on?" Superman asked in alarm.
"Looks like we have an even bigger problem now," Batman stated.
He was right as the anti-matter wave appeared, soon wiping out the entire universe.
Earth-173
The group of heroes in this universe, informally known as the 'Super Friends' (although their official name was the Justice League of America), which consisted of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, Flash, the Wonder Twins, and some others, were doing their best to figure out the cause of the mysterious red skies.
Ultimately, their efforts proved completely futile once the anti-matter wave appeared and consumed the entire world.
Earth-263
The Justice League heroes of this universe stared in horror from inside their Watchtower headquarters, which was located on an island near Metropolis, at the approaching anti-matter wave that soon wiped them, along with everyone and everything else in the universe, out of existence.
Earth-221
From inside their Watchtower space station, this universe's Justice League – the duplicates of the Earth-222 individuals who had gone to that dimension to help the Insurgency stop the Regime several years ago – could do nothing about the rapidly approaching anti-matter wave that soon wiped them out of existence before doing the same to the planet Earth below.
Earth-319
The team of teenage superheroines consisting of Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Bumblebee, Zatanna, and Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz) stared in complete horror at the anti-matter wave that soon wiped them and the rest of the planet out of existence.
Earth-299
Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy stared up at the anti-matter wave was moving rapidly across the red skies.
"What the fuck is that?" Ivy wondered, clearly terrified.
"It looks like the end of the world," Harley replied with obvious fear, and, for once, her tone was downright serious. "We're all dead."
Without warning, Harley pulled Ivy into a passionate kiss seconds before the entire universe was no more.
Earth-139
Batman was leaping, gliding, and grappling across the rooftops of Arkham City, while the criminals on the ground below were panicking at the sight of the red skies, when the anti-matter wave struck, consuming everyone, everything, and the entire universe itself.
Earth-209
The cosmically powerful bright blue being known as Dr. Manhattan, whose real name was Jon Osterman, stared grimly at the anti-matter wave that soon took out the whole universe. While everyone and everything else were gone, Dr. Manhattan was merely reduced to pure energy without a physical form, since he couldn't truly be destroyed.
Earth-316
In deep space, a horde of Green Lanterns, led by Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, and Kilowog, conjured massive shields in their intense efforts to fend off the approaching anti-matter wave. They put forth all of their concentration, expanding their barriers as far as they could and having no intention of letting the deadly white energy consume any more of the universe.
The struggle went on for a few minutes as the Green Lanterns did their absolute best to keep the wave at bay and actually managed to briefly push it back a bit a few times. Unfortunately, that was the closest they got to any success as the barrier constructs eventually shattered, allowing the anti-matter wave to continue its relentless mission to wipe out universes as every single one of the Green Lanterns were swiftly reduced to nothingness.
Earth-252
In the midst of the rubble and chunks of concrete on the heavily damaged street, Superman was severely battered and bloodied. His navy blue suit and what remained of his red cape were all torn up, mainly at the arms, legs, and abdomen. On the ground next him was the corpse of Doomsday, whose head was twisted backwards after Superman had delivered a mighty blow that snapped the immensely powerful monster's neck, finally putting an end to their destructive battle across Metropolis.
Groaning in pain, Superman removed Doomsday's protruding spike from the bloody wound in his chest and collapsed on the ground as his girlfriend, Lois Lane, knelt beside him.
"Stay with me," the ace reporter of the Daily Planet cried as she held her injured boyfriend with tears rolling down her cheeks. "Please, stay with me."
"That thing..." Superman uttered, hoping that Doomsday had been defeated permanently and wouldn't be able to hurt anyone else ever again. "Is he..."
"Yes," Lois answered, reassuringly. "You did it. You saved everyone."
"Good," Superman uttered with immense relief. "It's all... I ever wanted." He caressed Lois' face. "Except for you. What a lucky man... I was."
With tears briefly streaming down his face, Superman closed his eyes as the life left his body.
"No, no, no!" Lois sobbed as more tears fell down her cheeks.
Behind her, Jimmy Olsen, who was also teary-eyed, was filming the scene with his camera, while the rest of the Justice League – Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Martian Manhuter, Cyborg, Hawkman, Flash, and Aquaman – appeared with dejected expressions on their faces. The battle was won, but not without a huge price – that price being the loss of their leader, teammate, and brother.
However, the tragic death of Superman would be the least of this world's worries as the appearance of the red skies suddenly drew their attention. Even the sobbing Lois was snapped out of her grief as she, Jimmy, and the Justice League members wondered what was going on.
Then the anti-matter wave appeared and there was nothing any of them could do as the entire universe was consumed in one fell swoop.
Earth-160
Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis Crock were horror-struck by the appearance of anti-matter wave in the scary red skies.
"What is that?" Kid Flash wondered.
"Whatever it is, I don't think any of us will be able to stop it," Robin stated.
"Guys, I'm scared," Artemis admitted, fearfully.
"Me too," Miss Martian added.
"I'm sure we all are," Robin intoned.
"There's no way we're gonna escape from this," Superboy said, grimly.
"Yeah, even I won't be able to outrun this," Kid Flash added.
With that, the group of teen heroes held hands moments before the anti-matter wave wiped them and the rest of the universe out of existence.
Earth-1192
Superman was hovering high in the air, staring in complete horror at the approaching anti-matter wave that was consuming everything in his path. It was unlike anything he'd seen before. This version of the Man of Steel looked identical to his Earth-192 counterpart, except he was clad in a blue suit that lacked a cape and wore a pair of black gloves and matching boots. The red 'S' emblem on his chest looked just like the one Earth-96 Superman wore, complete with a background that was black instead of yellow.
The events of this world had been relatively identical to those of Earth-192, until the moment that Superman had been a split-second too late to save Lois Lane, whom he had romantic feelings for, from getting killed in a car bombing orchestrated by Intergang. As a result of Lois' untimely death, Superman had formed an alliance with his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor and the two took over Metropolis with the intention, specifically on Superman's part, to forcibly put an end to all crime.
Thankfully, an unexpected encounter with Earth-192 Lois Lane, who had been inadvertently transported to this world, helped Superman see the error of his ways and turn against Luthor, who had been unceremoniously killed in a crash while fleeing from the Man of Steel and the angry resistance group. True to the promise he'd made to the visiting Lois, Superman had returned to proper heroism, ditching his black suit and returning to a blue one, though he had decided to wear a different chest emblem, one with a black background, because "even in the darkest of times, hope cuts through, and hope is the light that lifts us out of darkness".
And, now, years later, he was facing something that was far, far beyond anything he'd encountered before. It was up to him to stop the mysterious white wave before it took out the entire planet.
Superman unleashed the full intensity of his super-breath in a desperate effort to push back the deadly wave, but it was no use as the anti-matter kept coming and soon disintegrated him.
In his final moments, a tender memory appeared in his mind.
"I never thought I'd lose you... twice," Superman said to Lois Lane with a note of sadness. He would love for her to stay in his world permanently, but the truth was that Lois didn't belong there.
"Will it change anything?" she asked.
"For me," he answered. "But not for Metropolis. Not this time."
"Lois!" the voice of the Superman of her native reality called out, ready to bring her home.
Before leaving, Lois shared a brief, but passionate, kiss with this world's Superman.
After wiping out Superman, the anti-matter wave did the same to the rest of the universe.
Earth-291
In the universe where the Justice League heroes had become oppressive tyrants known as the Justice Lords, Superman and Wonder Woman, who both had recently escaped from their imprisonment and were planning to reestablish their rule over the planet, hovered in the air, looking down at the all the civilians who were panicking at the ominous sight of the red skies. The former was clad in his black and white suit with a white cape, while the latter, whose hair was still short, wore her sleeveless red uniform that contained black at the neck and shoulders and a golden 'W' on the chest.
"Great Hera!" Wonder Woman cried out in horror as the anti-matter wave appeared in the sky. "How are we going to stop that wave, Superman?"
"By doing whatever it takes," Superman stated with grim determination as he and Wonder Woman flew flew towards the wave. "Even if it means fighting till the very end."
They were then consumed by the massive wave of white energy as it continued relentlessly across what was left of the world. In their final moments, unexpected feelings of regret and remorse for their horrible actions over the last several years suddenly appeared in their minds.
Forgive me, Hera.
Perhaps this path that my team and I went down after I killed Luthor wasn't the right way of doing things. But now it's too late for any sort of redemption...
In the Batcave, the Batman of this Earth widened his eyes in complete horror at the sight of the gigantic wall of white that had already wiped out the majority of the world. Bringing down Superman and Wonder Woman had become the very least of his worries, compared to what was currently going on.
And then the anti-matter wave consumed him, along with the entire Batcave, moments later, not long before the whole universe was gone.
Earth-78
Lois Lane and Lana Lang looked up in utter terror at the massive white wave that was moving across the red skies and consuming everything in its path.
"We're not gonna make it, are we?" Lana said with obvious fear in her voice.
"From the looks of this, not very likely," Lois answered in a sad tone. Closing her eyes and accepting her inevitable fate, she muttered, "Good luck, Clark, and I love you very much."
With that, the two women, along with the rest of the universe, were wiped out of existence.
Earth-111
Outside the Kent farm in Smallville, Jonathan and Martha looked up in utter horror at the massive wave of white energy that suddenly appeared across the red skies.
"What's happening, Jonathan?" Martha asked, fearfully.
"I don't know, Martha, but it doesn't look good at all," Jonathan answered, grimly.
In her prison cell at the Kansas State Penitentiary, Tess Luthor was staring out the window at the mysterious white energy that was heading directly towards her. Closing her eyes and putting her palms together in a praying gesture, the redhead muttered, "Forgive me."
And then she was gone moments later.
"I'm scared, Jonathan," Martha told her husband as the wave got closer and closer.
"Me too, sweetheart," Jonathan admitted. Thinking of their adoptive daughter and hoping her Kryptonian abilities would help her survive whatever this wall of white was, the farmer added, "Wherever you are, Clara, your mother and I love you."
"And we'll always be with you, sweetie," Martha added tearfully, right before she and Jonathan were abruptly taken out by the deadly wave.
Outside the Multiverse
After emerging from the other end of The Monitor's portal, Barry-Red, Cisco, Caitlin, Harry, and Jefferson found themselves in some sort of chamber that was a cross between a laboratory and lair.
"Whoa," Cisco muttered as he looked around curiously. "This place has some crazy vibrational frequency surging through it."
"This place must be the nexus between the anti-matter universe and our own," Harry stated.
"I'm guessing that's the weapon we're looking for," Jefferson said as he and the others noticed a huge machine in the shape of a cannon with bright red lights standing in the center of the chamber.
Spewing from the top of the machine and into the sky was a concentrated beam of pure white energy, while a blurry red figure was moving on a platform containing some kind of treadmill.
"The anti-matter cannon," Barry realized.
"The source of the wave," Harry noted.
"Guys, I think this blur is alive," Caitlin said, referring to the red figure.
"I'll check it out," Barry decided.
"Be careful, Allen," Harry warned.
Barry charged forward at super-speed as everything around him slowed down. In slow motion, he saw that the red figure on the treadmill was, indeed, a man dressed in a Flash suit. Barry took a look at the face behind the other Flash's cowl, but didn't recognize the speedster as anyone he'd seen before.
The other Flash noticed Barry and raised a hand in a warning gesture, right before Barry suddenly collided with an invisible barrier and was thrown back into a wall.
"Barry!" Caitlin cried out in concern as she and Cisco tended to their friend.
"What happened?" Cisco asked.
"It's a force field, I couldn't get through," Barry explained. "That guy is another Flash, but not one that we've met before. He's trapped on that treadmill."
Barry got back to his feet and he, Cisco, Caitlin, Harry, and Jefferson regarded the other Flash, who remained running on the treadmill.
"I wonder who this Flash is and what Earth he's from," Cisco said.
"And how did he get there?" Caitlin added.
"I presume that the Anti-Monitor abducted this Flash from his Earth, corralled his speed, and used it to build and power up his anti-matter cannon," Harry speculated.
"Well, we need to figure out how to stop the cannon," Barry stated.
"Obviously, the force field that contains this is anti-matter based," Harry explained. "As such, anything made of positive matter cannot penetrate it."
"We have to get the Flash off that treadmill," Barry said, looking at Cisco, who nodded.
"Here goes nothing," Cisco muttered.
He opened a breach in front of the other Flash, who immediately ran into it. Cisco then opened a second breach outside the force field as the other Flash appeared out of it, crashing into the wall and falling on the floor.
While Barry rushed over to the other speedster, who was quite exhausted, the concentrated beam of anti-matter shooting out of the cannon suddenly disappeared as the device powered down.
"Thank you for the reprieve, but I need to get back on the treadmill," the other Flash told Barry.
"Guys!" Cisco called out in alarm as the anti-matter cannon lit back up with electricity crackling around it.
"What's happening to the cannon?" Jefferson wondered.
"The Anti-Monitor designed that treadmill with a fail-safe, so that if I ever got off of it, it would erupt, destroying all the remaining worlds at once," the other Flash explained as Barry helped him to his feet. "We only have a few minutes."
"We'll figure something out," Barry said, confidently.
"Put me back on that treadmill," the other Flash requested.
"No, all right, we'll find another way," Barry insisted, not wanting to sacrifice the life of even someone he'd just met.
"It's getting worse," Cisco noted as the electricity around the anti-matter cannon intensified.
Harry turned to Jefferson. "You need to contain the energy, Pierce, while the rest of us figure out how to disable the cannon before it destroys the rest of the Multiverse."
"That's a lot of energy, Jefferson," Barry told him. "Can you contain that much of it?"
Jefferson scanned the machine with his goggles. "Let's find out."
He held out his hands, unleashing a pair of concentrated lightning bolts on the anti-matter cannon.
As a few minutes passed, the task of containing machine's energy began to take a toll on Jefferson's body. "Tick-tock, people!" Black Lightning urged in a strained voice.
"Black Lightning is gonna kill himself if we don't solve this soon," Caitlin pointed out, worriedly.
"And we need more time," Barry said as he took several moments to scan his brain for a solution. As an idea suddenly occurred to him, he looked at the others. "I got it. What if one of us run on the treadmill in reverse?"
"You mean reversing the treadmill's directional velocity, making the anti-matter wave recede and funnel back into the speed cannon," Cisco said in understanding.
"Destroying the machine and the wave," Harry added.
"Ending this once and for all," Barry also added in a confident tone.
"And saving what's left of the Multiverse," the other Flash finished.
Jefferson groaned, growing weaker and more exhausted with every passing moment as he continuously focused his power on the anti-matter cannon. With a note of grim determination, he declared, "Where is the future? Right here. Whose life is this? Mine. What are you gonna do with it? Live it by any means necessary."
"Remember that newspaper in the time vault?" Barry said to Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry. "Flash vanishes in Crisis? This is it. This is what I've been running towards all these years. It's time for that event to come to pass."
"But that newspaper is from 2024, not 2019," Caitlin pointed out with a note of sadness.
"I know, but we've seen the future change multiple times, and one of those changes is that the Crisis we knew was coming is happening almost five years earlier," Barry pointed out.
"I can't let you do this, Barry," Cisco said with emotion as tears welled up in his eyes. "There has to be another..."
"There isn't," Barry stated, firmly. "We don't have much time. I'm doing this and you're not gonna be able to talk me out of it."
He put on his cowl and took a deep breath, mentally bracing himself for the action he was about to perform, while Cisco and Caitlin had sad, tearful looks on their faces and Harry was masking whatever emotion he felt with a grim look.
"I don't wanna say goodbye," Caitlin said, tearfully.
"You two were there the first time I opened my eyes as The Flash," Barry said to her and Cisco. "I couldn't be the hero I am without you guys." He pulled his two friends into a hug and held them for a few seconds. "You two have always been like my brother and sister."
He let Cisco and Caitlin go and hugged Harry.
"Farewell, Barry Allen," Harry told the younger man.
"You too, Harry," Barry said, before turning to Cisco and Caitlin. "Tell Kara that I love her and I'm sorry."
"We will," Caitlin promised as she and Cisco nodded.
Suddenly, the other Flash sped at Barry, knocking him across the chamber with a sucker-punch, while Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry watched in shock. Barry almost immediately got back up and fired a blast of lightning at the other Flash, who narrowly avoided it. The two Flashes raced at each other, exchanging high-speed blows as everything around them was frozen.
"What are you doing, Flash?" Barry demanded.
"Stopping you from throwing your life away!" the other Flash stated.
"I've already made up my mind," Barry insisted, firmly. "I'm the one who's getting on that treadmill."
"If you wanna do that, you'll have to defeat me first," the other Flash challenged.
As the two Flashes engaged each other, it was clear that Barry was a bit faster, while the other Flash was a better hand-to-hand combatant, which the latter used to his advantage, though the former was no certainly slouch at holding his own in a physical fight.
"I made a huge mistake on my Earth," the other Flash told Barry. "I joined Superman's evil Regime and helped him take over the world for five years. Since then, I've been trying to atone, make things right. What better way to do that than sacrificing my life so that the Multiverse could live?"
"You can still get your redemption by helping the other heroes defeat the Anti-Monitor," Barry pointed out. "If I could help it, I'm not letting someone else die on my watch."
"That makes two of us," the other Flash, who was, in fact, Barry Allen of Earth-222, declared with matching determination.
Their fight went for what seemed like minutes to the scarlet speedsters but were seconds in actuality. While the Flashes had been evenly matched for most of that time, Barry of Earth-222 ultimately managed to take down his Earth-1 namesake with well-placed punches, a kick, an elbow strike, and an uppercut punch. Before Earth-1 Barry could recover and get back up, The Flash of Earth-222 wasted no time delivering a powerful lightning punch to the former's face, leaving the younger speedster in a heavily dazed state.
Barry-222 approached Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry, who stared at the alternate Flash with wariness and disbelief.
"What did you do?" Caitlin asked, worried for her speedster friend's well-being.
"Your Barry will be fine," Barry-222 assured him. "Now, I need you to get me back..."
As Earth-1 Barry charged at him from behind, Barry-222 whirled around, narrowly avoiding the former's lightning punch. Barry-222 smashed an elbow into Earth-1 Barry's face, knocking him back down. He then delivered three quick punches to Earth-1 Barry's face, knocking him out.
"I'm sorry for knocking out your friend, but it has to be me," Barry-222 told Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry.
Meanwhile, Jefferson ceased his electricity blasts and collapsed to his knees as Barry-222 helped him back up.
"Thank you for buying us more time, Black Lightning, but I'll take it from here," the speedster told the electricity-based hero. He turned to Cisco. "Open the breach. I need to get in that force field."
"No," Cisco protested.
"You have to or all the remaining Earths will be destroyed," Barry-222 insisted. "We're running out of time. Please, let me do this. Let me save you all. This way, your friend won't have to die."
"But you will," Caitlin pointed out as she tended to the unconscious Earth-1 Barry.
"Exactly, but it'll be worth it," Barry-222 said.
"Are you completely sure you wanna do this?" Cisco asked.
"I've never been more sure of anything," Barry-222 stated with determination. "This will be my penance for choosing the wrong side. This will be my redemption. It's time for me to properly be a hero again."
After a moment of hesitation, Cisco nodded and opened a breach.
"Thank you," Barry-222 said gratefully and looked down at his Earth-1 namesake, who was starting to come to.
The Flash of Earth-222 sped into the breach. Cisco immediately opened another breach as Barry-222 appeared on the treadmill, running on it in the reverse direction.
Earth-1 Barry quickly jumped to his feet and slammed his fist against the force field in frustration. "Flash!" He turned to his friends, panic-stricken. "He's gonna die, Cisco!"
"I'm sorry, Barry, but sometimes we have to make the tough choices," Cisco pointed out.
The anti-matter cannon shook violently and became unstable as the white beam receded back into it.
"We can't stay here," Jefferson said in alarm.
"We need to go, now!" Harry urged.
"Let's go," Cisco told Barry as he opened a breach, which Caitlin, Harry, and Jefferson headed into.
"No," the Earth-1 speedster protested, wanting to somehow save the other Flash from perishing on the treadmill.
"Let's go," Cisco repeated.
"No, I'm not going," Barry insisted.
"Barry, let's go!" Cisco pleaded as he grabbed his friend's shoulders.
"I'm not going!" Barry snapped.
"Come on!" Cisco urged before he and Barry, who gave the Earth-222 Flash a regretful look, also entered the breach.
Barry Allen of Earth-222 continued running, pushing himself much harder than he'd ever done in his superhero career. This was it. He was about to die doing something extraordinary, doing something that would more than make up for his past actions.
Barry-222 screamed in pure agony as his body disintegrated into nothingness, a few seconds before the anti-matter cannon exploded in a blinding white light.
The remaining Earths in the Multiverse were saved. For now.
The worlds wiped out in this chapter were: Earth-923 (Legion of Superheroes animated series), Earth-2515 (Krypto the Superdog), Earth-3910 (Teen Titans Go!), Earth-193 (Teen Titans 2003), Earth-194 (The Batman 2004), Earth-408 (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Earth-173 (Super Friends), Earth-263 (Justice League Action), Earth-221 (the 'good' universe in Injustice: Gods Among Us), Earth-319 (DC Super Hero Girls), Earth-299 (Harley Quinn animated series), Earth-139 (Arkhamverse), Earth-209 (Watchmen 2009), Earth-316 (Green Lantern: The Animated Series), Earth-252 (DC Animated Movie Universe), Earth-160 (Young Justice), Earth-1192 (the alternate universe featured in the Superman: The Animated Series episode 'Brave New Metropolis'), Earth-291 (world of the Justice Lords), Earth-78 (Donnerverse), and Earth-111 (home of Clara Kent).
The cameo for Batman: The Brave and the Bold was a bit from the episode 'Battle of the Superheroes!', when Superman was infected by red kryptonite. Also, the DC Animated Movie Universe cameo was during The Death of Superman, right after Doomsday's defeat.
The version of Barry Allen/The Flash who sacrificed himself to destroy the anti-matter cannon is from the Injustice video game series. He was abducted from his universe by the Anti-Monitor, which explains why he wasn't with the other Earth-222 heroes when they showed up. Some readers probably suspected that Earth-1 Barry would die, but, if that were the case, I wouldn't have made him a Paragon. Plus, I figured this would be a fitting way for Injustice Flash to fully redeem himself after choosing Superman's side in the Regime/Insurgency conflict.
