BAM BAM BAMMM, rereading my last chapter it really looks like some naruhina fanfic in the making where I just force her into the story after some random confession in the chunin exams… and to that I say no.
Noshipping in part 1 maybe more character progression for all the main side characters and fleshing out naruto's i'll do anything for my friends attitude but for now no.
I'm also considering rewriting my other stories well, keeping the premise and making it better. Mainly memories and the red flash land the blue flames of the leaf. If you guys liked the premise of those 2 and this gets enough support I'll definitely get to writing for them. I have a lot of ideas fleshed out but not really sure if people would care for them. Anyways, GOO.
Btw heavy dialogue chapter again, i think next chapter i end training and end it off at the start of the chunin exams.
And yes any me and [insert character] from naruto are intentional, i don't think he starts using proper grammar till like late naruto or boruto.

Chapter 2: Kyuubi
After a quick little stroll with Jiryia of the sannin, Our Favorite blonde knucklehead would find himself near a stream connected to a waterfall just overhead.
"Before we can start, it's best to know more about your skill set and what type of learner you are." The sage said while finding himself and naruto to rocks to sit upon.
The blonde would raise his eyebrow in confusion, "what do you mean learner? Don't you just say what to do and I follow?" He'd ask confusion deep in his voice.
"Well yes you'd be correct but there's way more to it then just that. I'll use my old teammate, for example, Orochimaru and I are completely different when it comes to how we understand and learn different things. Well I'd be more hands on and take more one on one approach explaining step by step, he was more show him how to do something with just a scroll and a few examples he'd get it instantly. He was a prodigy to say the least. Are you keeping up?" He'd ask checking over at the blonde
A nod from Naruto would be his que to keep going.
"My theory is that every other possible way to learn branches off of those 2, either extreme versions or lower versions of both. Some kids would be super prodigy's and pick up things off one glance almost having a built in shargain in their brains sort of. Then there'd be the medium to that. Kids who still need help but can still pick up a lot with just a lil bit of trial and error. This would be a lazy mentor's favorite type of student. someone to keep them still entertained but not feel useless with. Again keeping up?"
Another head nod and the rant would continue.
"Now for me, I'm hands on and get in the field type of guy. Not hold my hand at every turn when it comes to learning new moves but hints clues anything that'd help but not fully reliant on my mentor. Trial and error with clues that's how I best understand things. The extremes of mine is never being able to learn unless something is broken down as if you were a baby. Those types of shinobi don't usually make it far. They make it out of the academy, stay doing D-C rank missions and never improve much. Got it?" The sage asked as Naruto would once more nod.
"Now again, what would you say is your current skill set and learning style?"
Crossing his legs and closing his eyes, Naruto would ponder the question for a while, "Hmmm, well for the skill set i think i showed you everything earlier. Transformation Jutsu, Sexy Harem Jutsu, Shadow clones, Multi Shadow clones and I can walk on trees but I haven't been able to do that in a while for some reason." The blonde would say as the last statement would peak Jiraiya's interests.
"Now as for learning style I don't know, no one's really paid close attention but I definitely know not that prodigy picking up a book thing. I think I did best with trial and error when Kakashi taught us how to climb trees in the land of waves. The more i failed down the closer i kept getting to it any roadblocks sakura advice helped with." He'd say finally opening up his eyes to look at his new Mentor.
"I see, I see,I think I can cook up a good training plan off that and some few tests." He'd say before making a clone of his own.
"You know what to do, get the notepad out and watch closely." Jiraiya would say, getting a nod out of his clone. Turning back to Naruto, he started again. "Now that I can't walk on trees anymore , when did it start?"
"Well after the forest of death i felt a lot weaker, idk everything feels harder to control, it's like hmmm it's like trying to get water to heat up your miso ramen just for sink pipes to be acting up. A little bit of water coming out and no matter how hard I twist the knobs nothing else is happening" He'd say, which would get the clone to start writing even more.
"Descriptive for sure, hmm I need more, what happened in the forest?" Jiraiya said piquing up closer to the blonde, he had heard of His former teammate marking Sasuke but nothing on Naruto's condition was heard of.
"Well when we were fighting Orochimaru, how do I even say this?" He'd ponder on the spot, he didn't wanna just scare off his new mentor with the information that the kyuubi was sealed inside of him. 'what's a believable lie? Oh he randomly struck me in the stomach and now I can't use my chakra? that's dumb, orrr maybe i could blame the Kyuubi seal on him but what if he tried unsealing the kyuubi then?' He'd think to himself.
Seeing the doubt and hesitation build up in Naruto's face the sage would quickly intervene. "If you're thinking about the kyuubi seal I know already, after all i was the one who taught Minato about seals in the first place. I have full faith in anything he'd make and full faith in you, you're the kyuubi jailer, you're not the kyuubi or the seal itself." He'd say giving the blonde more than enough reassurance to continue with confidence.
"I was fighting Orochimaru and some large snake and the kyuubi started giving me power. Me and sasuke were getting beat pretty badly that's for sure, but we started holding our own the more power the kyuubi gave me. Orochimaru randomly grabbed me and slammed his fingers into my stomach near the seal, messing up everything and knocking me out."
"I see, Lift up your shirt" Jiraiya said walking towards the boy
"Your rep isn't good enough to say that without warning you perv!, uh you pervy sage." Naruto said still on edge with his mentor's hot spring shenanigans.
"Not in that way, you idiot. Besides, I have enough decorum to pursue adult women, of course. Now, lift your shirt," Jiraiya clarified. Naruto complied, and Jiraiya continued, "Focus on molding some chakra " Once again, Naruto followed his instructions, revealing the seal on his stomach.
"A five element pong seal on top of a Eight trigrams seal, a simple tactic but very effective. Now brace yourself for a second." Jiraiya advised. He pressed his fingers onto the Five Element Seal, causing Naruto to collapse.
"Get up, you've been hit way harder than that." The sage would say, inciting a very irritated grumble from the blonde. "Everything should be fine now so let's start off with some actual training." Naruto would bolt up in excitement over the thought of actually getting some training done.
"To start off we're walking on water" The sage would say as he walked onto the nearby stream. Naruto could only watch in amazement wondering how. "The next step to tree climbing is water walking, most shinobis find themselves always having to battle on different surfaces, water walking and tree climbing prepares you for basically anything and also helps with chakra control." He'd finish before motioning naruto to join him.
The blonde would step into the stream landing before feet perfectly before starting to walk around. "The amount of time you spent working around that 5 element seal might have actually benefited you, most people sink down to the bottom instantly." He'd say causing naruto to let out a grin, the compliment if you could call it that, definitely getting to his head.
"Still it's more than just being able to walk on water, you have to be able to battle to your full capabilities." Without warning the sage would throw a kunai aimed straight for Naruto's gut.
Polished reflexes from his fight with haku would kick in as the blond would side step to the right, narrowly avoiding the weapon's trajectory. Before he could recover, Jiraiya lunged at him, delivering a forceful left haymaker. Naruto raised his arms to block, barely managing to withstand the blow's impact.
Attempting to counter, Naruto dropped to his hands and attempted a leg sweep, only to find himself sinking through the water.
Jirayia would quickly grab him by his ankles before he could completely sink. Holding the blonde upside down the sage would start his rant. "That's what I meant, if you're going to fight just as you'd on solid ground your chakra control would have to be almost second nature, something as simple as breathing. Chakra Control and your taijutsu are going to be the two main things we work on for the first two weeks, especially fighting against a Hyuga that's their specialty."
"I understand it and all, but can you put me down, i might throw up staying like this." The blonde would say as the sage would offer a quick apology
"Fighting against myself to start off wouldn't be of much help yet. Make as many clones as you can and get into a battle royal, you'll be fighting all your clones for the rest of the day." He'd say getting a nod from the blonde as he'd do his signature hand sign.
"Multi Shadow Clone jutsu" would be heard before almost 200 other orange clad Narutos could be seen.
"You heard the man get into position and come lose to yours truly." The original would yell out getting irritated responses from all 200 other versions of himself.
As the 200 clones formed a circle around him. Naruto's excitement grew. His own voice echoed in unison as they all prepared to spar. Without further ado, the battle royale began.
The first clone rushed at Naruto with impressive speed, throwing a barrage of punches. Naruto parried and dodged, feeling the impact of the strikes against the water. He retaliated with swift kicks, managing to connect a few hits before the clone dispersed into smoke.
Another clone leaped from behind, attempting a surprise attack. Naruto sensed the movement through the ripples in the water, swiftly turning and countering with a well-placed uppercut that sent the clone disappearing.
As Naruto fended off one clone after another, the water surface rippled and splashed with each strike. The clones attacked with different tactics—some focused on taijutsu, others on throwing kunai, while a few attempted a mixture of both.
Naruto's chakra control and awareness played a crucial role. With every step and every maneuver,
he maintained his balance on the water's surface, allowing him to evade attacks and launch his own with precision, he'd slip up at times almost sinking but would catch himself before anything drastic would happen.
"He's adapting quickly, focusing on the ripples while fighting also. you think it might be from the clone memories?" Jirayia would say to literal his own clone, getting a nod out of doppelgänger
"He might not even realize it yet, but it could be building some quick forms of muscle memory." the clone would say
"The kyuubi should already give him a lot of acceleration for basic healing and muscle recover, maybe with some weight training he could be able to surpass The hyuga kids physical peak currently, catching up on his taijutsu skills is definitely just a dream rn, but maybe with the use of clones and physical strength he'd stand a chance." The original would say getting a nod out of his clone.
"Go to Hiruzen, ask him for any records about Naruto neji, and anyone else in the final round." The sage would order his doppelgänger, as the clone would disappear in a swirl of leaves.
"Now show me what you can do Naruto Uzumaki" As the sage would focus all his attention onto his protege.
One after one naruto would continue eliminating any clone that got near him, One clone managed to get behind him, attempting a chokehold. Naruto reacted swiftly, using his elbow to hit the clone's gut and breaking free from the hold. He followed up with a spinning roundhouse kick that sent the clone sprawling into the water.
With only 10 clones left Naruto had long started slowing down due to fatigue, he could hear Jiraiya yelling out "final stretch" in the background but he was too focused on his last task to really care.
'How long have I been at this?' he thought to himself, before getting into his unorthodox stance if you could really call it that. Looking more like a street brawler then the trained shinobi he should be.
His stance lacked the grace of a traditional fighter, his arms hanging somewhat loosely, ready to unleash whatever power he had left.
His movements were erratic, more impulsive than calculated. His punches carried weight, but they lacked the precision and technique he had demonstrated earlier. His footwork was rugged, almost stumbling at times, yet his eyes burned with an unmistakable fire.
As he continued to exchange blows with his remaining clones, Naruto's breathing grew labored, his chest heaving with each exertion. Jiraiya's calls of encouragement became a faint hum, his own determination driving him forward. He pushed himself beyond his limits, unwilling to give up.
With each punch and kick, the water's surface erupted in splashes, mirroring his struggle. The lake bore witness to his unwavering spirit, his tenacity etched in every ripple and spray. Despite the growing fatigue, Naruto's attacks carried a unique authenticity, a testament to his unbreakable will.
And then, as the battle reached its climax, Naruto summoned the last reserves of his strength. His fists swung slower, his movements more deliberate, as if he were channeling every remaining ounce of energy into these final strikes. The clones he faced put up their last stand, but one by one, they dispersed in puffs of smoke.
Finally, the water beneath Naruto's feet stilled, the echoes of battle fading away. He stood amidst the serene surface of the lake, panting and weary, yet arms fell to his sides as A loud cry could be heard from the blonde.
"YEAHHHHHHHHH, I DID IT." He screamed out before collapsing on the water.
"That was quicker than I thought, 200 clones in about an hour. You even ended up learning how to lay on top of the water by yourself. Congratulations you've made it past the first part for today." The sage said, giving him a little encouragement tap to the chest.
"THERE'S MORE?" the blonde yelled out, his disbelief evident in his voice.
"You wanna beat a prodigy like Neji, you need to work way harder than him to." He said stopping the blondes' complaints instantly.
"Exactly now, 20 minute break of eating and analyzing before we go to the last exercise of the day." the sage said, spawning random bentos from absolutely nowhere.
Naruto hurried towards his mentor, taking a chicken bento of his own before chowing down.
"Number 1 thing... *chew* we gotta understand is... *gulp* who your opponents are," Jiraiya said, taking bites of his own food. Naruto followed suit, chewing on his meal as he listened intently. "I wanna hear... *munch* your rundown on all of them," the sage continued, his words punctuated by mouthfuls of food.
"Neji has those weird eyes and almost taps you when fighting, I've only seen him fight up close, Sasuke also has weird eyes and He fights up close alot and can shoot fire out his mouth."
Naruto paused, taking another bite before proceeding. "Gaara relies on that sand of his, which is just... *munch* creepy. He's always going on about death and stuff, it's kinda weird." Another mouthful of food followed before Naruto spoke again. "Shino's got his weird bug things, and Shikamaru, he's... *chew* really lazy, but super smart. He can control his shadow, which is pretty cool."
Swallowing his food, Naruto finished his rundown. "And all I know about the girl with Gaara is she's got that *chew* massive fan." He took a final bite, his words interspersed with the act of eating. "That was good, i'm ready to keep going" He said jumping up into the air
"Next time you're in any tournament make sure to watch very very closely with what your competition is doing" Jiraiya said getting up himself. "Still you got the very vague gist of their abilities down. Let's focus on Neji."
"He's capable of shutting down any of your chakra points and possesses remarkable taijutsu skills. That pretty much sums it up. you have a limited amount of hits to beat him, If you can shut him down before he shuts your chakra off you win if not game over." Jiraiya explained, leaving Naruto to mull over the scenario he was facing.
"Is there really no way to reopen any closed chakra points?" Naruto queried, seeking a glimmer of hope. "If they can seal them, there's got to be a way to counter it, right?" He clung to the possibility of some super secret jutsu designed to beat the hyuga
"For the average shinobi, no," Jiraiya replied, dampening Naruto's enthusiasm. "But don't lose heart just yet. You're far from average. My theory is that there's 3 ways to possibly reopen your chakra points while fighting a hyuga." He said as a faint glow of hope lit in Naruto's blue orbs.
"Number 1, To be a jinchuriki such as yourself, i see the confused look jinchuriki is just someone with a tailed beast inside of them like yourself." The Sage explained.
"Naruto burst out in a mixture of disbelief, shock, and a hint of relief. "Wait? There are others like me?" His surprise was palpable as he processed this revelation.
"Mhmm, 8 more to be exact, have you never been taught this in the Academy? I feel like this should be common knowledge." The sage asked with a confused look.
Naruto shook his head vigorously, "They never said anything about any more, the only thing they say about the kyuubi is that it attacked 15 years ago and is really strong." He explained leaving Jiraiya Dumbfounded.
"Remind me to explain it all to you some other time, just know that Gaara kid has one himself." He said getting a rise out of naruto.
"Shukaku of the sand, also known as the One tails. Fight Shukaku in Suna and you might as well start digging your grave, even the kyuubi would have some trouble when put into such a position."
'Even the kyuubi.' Naruto repeated the final lines to himself as he unconsciously grabbed his stomach. His thoughts raced as he considered how much that explained about Gaara's disposition. The thought crossed his mind: 'What if the Kyuubi had turned me into something like that? Someone so violent, so angry, so cold…
Jirayias rant quickly snapped him out of his thoughts, "But as I was saying if you're a jinchuuriki you can borrow power from them and get Chakra back as well as a power boost. That's number 1." He said to which naruto nodded
"Number 2 is using fuinjutsu to recreate the Jinchuriki thing but with your own chakra, this is out the question for you but simply put it, ahead of time you connect a seal to yourself feed it chakra ahead of time and it replenishes what you're missing." Jiraiya clarified, leaving out the intricate details for simplicity.
'That's with ignoring all the planning and making sure the chakra connects to all 361 points which would need a hyugas help ahead of time blah blah, I'll just skip it' he thought, hoping not to overwhelm the boy.
"And Finally, Number three, if you fight alongside another Hyuga, they might be able to reopen your chakra points by using the reverse of the technique. I've never asked, so take it with a grain of salt" Jiraiya concluded, his logic suggesting that it should work.
"So, I'll be learning how to use the first option, tapping into the Kyuubi's power," Naruto queried with a touch of resignation. The shadow of becoming like Gaara, overly reliant on the Kyuubi, loomed over him.
"Bingo. But that's a last resort, and not for today. Instead, we're focusing on you right now," Jiraiya reassured, acknowledging the concerns in Naruto's voice and redirecting his attention to the present training.
looking up to the sky, Jiraiya had realized just how long he had spent talking and walking around earlier. "Sunsets soon huh, alright let's wrap this up so you can get a good night of sleep. Well that's if you make it home." he said grumbling the last part as some protests were heard from naruto.
"Hmm, let me put this in simpler terms. Your taijutsu—it's inconsistent, to say the least," he stated, a note of bluntness in his voice that seemed to deflate Naruto's spirits once more. "You excel with clones, but I've heard you tend to overuse them at times. If you could fight the way you did against me earlier, using your six clones, and added some improved tactics and stances, you'd be practically unbeatable among your peers. That's with some refinement, of course. That's our focus for this month," he concluded, stepping toward Naruto and placing a firm hand on his shoulder.
In a flash, Jiraiya made a swift hand sign, causing Naruto to feel as if his entire body was on the verge of plummeting to the floor once again. "Resistance seal—a variation of the weighted seal, but tailored more for training. Your task is to keep this on and make it back home by tonight. Be back here tomorrow morning at 9 am with these still on. Good luck," Jiraiya said, his words hanging in the air as he disappeared in a flurry of leaves. With a parting wave and a twisted smile on his lips, he was gone.
"What the actual..." Naruto's voice trailed off in sheer disbelief, leaving his sentence unfinished.
XXXXXXX
Ok ok ok ok ok, you live in my dream stateeee, i lied earlier this chapter training arc length is undecided. I wanted to make a more motivated and teachful Jiraiya, one aware of his responsibilities to minato, and one that's motivated to just work with naruto ofc, and also one not afraid of sharing his knowledge. I hope this is enjoyable but he will be keeping his same personality in cannon just more mentor like.
And, 4k word chapter i hope y'all are happy if people actually care about this lmfaoo. Anyways as i said earlier if this story does get any more support and if people want it i'll be rewriting my other stories. Mainly the Red Flash and Memories as i really like those concepts just fleshed out horribly by me.
Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this and also good luck to anyone who has started school this month!
…. I should probably do a small chapter of how i scale the Akatsuki, actually i'll leave it be and just leave it to people's perceptions.
