Day 1: The Perfect Day

Prompts

- Azura Book Club
- Milkshake Date
- Flowers

It was only a year ago that Luz and Amity had started the Azura Book Club. They didn't exactly get that many interested, but they weren't going to give up this year. However, given that the Boiling Isles is still rebuilding after the events of The Day of Unity and the Collector's takeover, it was going to be even more difficult as people would rather attempt to make their home look just like before.

Luz was spending summer vacation at the Boiling Isles as she, her mother, Camila, and her adopted basilisk sister, Vee, decided to do every summer. Today was one of Luz's break days from helping rebuild the Isles and Amity decided to spend the day with her. They were hoping to at least have one person interested, but it was difficult.

"I don't get it. I know people are busy rebuilding the Isles, but we have tried so many things to give the club traction. Not even the fanfiction corner is helping." Luz complained.

"Hey Luz, I think I know what might be a contributing factor," Amity responded.

"What is it?"

"Tibbles said something about finding the books somewhere around the Boiling Sea. They came from the Human Realm, so it's understandable that people here don't really have much of a clue what Azura is."

Luz knew Amity had a good point. She must've been so happy to return to the Isles after a while that she would be willing to do anything to stay as long as she can.

"You're right, Amity. If anything, we should've held the club at the Human Realm" Luz confessed.

"It's okay. I know how much this meant to you and I'm with you, no matter how small of an audience we get. Speaking of the Human Realm, do you maybe wanna go get one of those milkshakes you took me to?" Amity asked.

"I'd like that" Luz responded.

And so, they packed up the club and headed to the Human Realm for a date.

They went to the same diner they went to when Amity was first stuck in the Human Realm. However, there was a problem: Luz was lactose intolerant. She had two separate photos of the two of them sharing a milkshake on the original date, but after those photos were taken, Luz had a bit of a near-disaster incident in the bathroom. She knew the risks but only took them because she wanted her first real date with Amity to be amazing to both of them. She was lucky that Amity supported her through the incident.

Because of this, only Amity got the milkshake this time. However, she didn't want Luz to be left with nothing on a date. So after she finished the shake, she came up with an idea.

"Wait here. I'll be right back" Amity told Luz.

"Okay," Luz responded.

And so Amity left the diner and as soon as she was out of Luz's sight. She went straight to the house that connected the Human and Demon Realm together. After entering and finding The Owl House, where the Nocedas were staying, she found Camila.

"Hey, Camila, I have a bit of a situation," she told her.

"What is it, Amity?" Camila asked.

"Me and Luz went to a diner for a date and since she's lactose, she couldn't get another milkshake like last time. I want to get her something else. What should I get her?"

"You know, lately I had been noticing that she had been looking at a lot of flowers lately. How about a bouquet?"

"Really? Thanks, Camila!"

"Hey, Amity, I think it's really nice that you're willing to go out of your way to be a good girlfriend to Luz. I'm proud of you"

"Thank you so much, Camila"

And with that, Amity ran as fast as she could to the nearest flower stand and purchased a purple and pink bouquet, reflecting their colours.

She ran even faster, being careful not to drop the bouquet. Eventually, she made it back to the diner and hid the bouquet behind her back. She knocked on the window to get Luz's attention, signalling her to come outside, which she did.

"What is it, Amity?" Luz asked.

"Surprise!" Amity revealed the bouquet of flowers she bought for her.

"Aww, Amity! You sweet potato!"

Luz gave her a cheek kiss before taking the bouquet. They ended the day by walking back to the Isles.

All of these Lumity Week entries are going to be rush jobs, so forgive me for the writing if it's bad.
