Hello guys.
While I have previously expressed my dislike for the Mary Jane in the Spiderman PS4 video game in other fics well I wanted to directly address this mess.
Needless to say, I utterly loath the bullcrap of how the game panders to Mary Jane Watson for letting her get away with treating Peter like crap, constantly chewing him out for being too controlling when he doesn't want MJ to get into situations over her head for involving armed military mercs. Not to mention Mary Jane Watson has no combat training, no powers or anything.
Yet the game paints this as Peter's somehow in the wrong with having to eventually accept her point of view? I don't think so.
And to make it worse the writers have Felicia Hardy be crossing the line massively like some remorseless villain on lying to Peter on possibly having his kid just so Peter would do what she wanted? Right, just so Peter/MJ can have zero threats.
Yeah nope. It's utter crap and I'm going to rightfully call it out as such.
May Parker's house
Standing in the living room Peter, holding a backpack filled with clothes belonging to his aunt for her stay at the hospital, is talking with Mary Jane Watson who wanted to come lecture him on interfering when she is doing her reporter job unless asked. Meeting Watson's glare quite frankly Peter knows that he is quite frankly done tolerating this.
"Enough, I offered you to become my partner once, but you turned it down claiming to not want to be a hero like me? Yet you are out there risking your life for the truth, sounds like one anyway. And not wanting me to show up to help only you call when it's convenient for you is two-faced. I had to leave a gang fight to recuse you last time only to get chewed out like now. Really, I am beyond sick of this" Peter snaps.
"And I'm sick of how you treat me as some dang control freak. I'm not some damsel in distress, I'm independent. I always support you, however not once you have ever supported me. Instead, you want to keep me locked down as some chained housewife" Mary Jane yells back.
Rolling his eyes "Oh for the love of god stop with this bullcrap! You're an insult to my aunt to worked for years as a factory floor lady despite dealing with actual sexism, or my mother who became a field agent regardless of facing the same. All this modern-day feminism is just winy selfish brats thinking you're entitled to it due to having different body parts than a man while wanting men to be nothing more than your slaves or our heads on a silver platter" Peter replies harshly.
Mary Jane Watson stands there rendered speechless for a moment knowing she just got one of her ex-boyfriends the reason you suck speeches and having reached the level where he's done with the quips. Meaning now he's truly ticked.
"I have put up with this from you for years now and I am done. Jamerson's rants are less annoying at times. Yeah, never wanted you in harm's way up against trained mercenaries who give me a problem on top of the fact you have no powers or training. As I learned a long time ago, I can handle being seen as the city's enemy. The only reason I'll ever come to help you again is since after Uncle Ben's death I vowed to prevent somebody dying if I could, but you are no longer at the top of my priority list. After we get through New York's current problems we are done. We are not even friends Mary Jane Watson so you can stay the hell out of my life" Peter says ice-cold calmly "Because I intend to keep out of yours's."
"You can't, I… you can't do this Pete" Mary Jane stutters.
"Watch me and you clearly don't want me in your life. Oh, by the way only people I consider family or friends can use Pete. Meaning it's either Peter or Mr. Parker to you Ms. Watson" Peter replies "And I expect you to be gone by the time I get back."
Turning around Peter calmly exits the house leaving Mary Jane Watson all alone like she's always wanted.
Eventually upon this whole mess ends for the Devil Breath's virus on curing that at the tragic loss of his aunt, stopping the Sinister Six and Doctor Octavius Peter did keep his word by staying away from Mary Jane on cutting all ties. Mary Jane Watson left for a new assignment to a war-torn country never returning to New York.
Peter moved on and found love again with another woman who respected him.
Hope you guys, well the nut job Peter/MJ and/or feminists who want my head aside, got some enjoyment out of this.
Yeah, all this Mary Jane or general for these various overrated characters of "strong character while constantly complaining about controlling males without having to work for any achievements and no matter how abusive is always right due to body parts" is current day feminist bull crap.
A problem across the entire entertainment industry is following this BS.
Which a list of various female characters I enjoy include Leia Organa, Mara Jade or Cara Dune from Star Wars universe. Then Selina Kyle, Melanie Walker, Rose Wilson or Barbara Gordon from DC, in Doctor Who is Barbara Wright, River Song, Ace, and Sarah Jane Smith. MCU is Natasha Romanoff, Maria Hill, Lady Siff and Betty Ross.
(Not Peggy Carter given she's overrated and abusive for shooting at Steve in Captain America the First Avenger film.)
Gwen Stacy from The Amazing Spider-Man films or is Eve and Mandy Baxter in Last Man Standing. Ziva David along with Meg Austin from the NCIS verse.
In the Arrowverse there is Thea and Moira Queen, Sara Lance (In Arrow season 2 to 3x01 only), Lyla Michaels, Caitlin Snow for just naming a few.
Oh, right let's see Sarah Conner or Cameron in the Terminator series, then Storm from the X Men films. All of these are just off the top of my head.
Mostly putting this up for whatever idiot is going to accuse me of saying I'm sexist or some such crap. And just from felt like creating a list to draw from if asked in general.
You know never mind by two hundred plus something fan fiction stories that all have awesome females for good guys or villains.
