Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel, if I did then Kitty Pryde would have her own solo series, Spider-Man would be less of a soap opera and more of a superhero story, and Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde would get together.

Seriously if they were able to pair Kitty with Star Lord then they could pair her and Peter up. Besides they also have known the same people, they have Logan in common, Logan who is Kitty's mentor and close friend of Peter. They both know Ben Grimm, also known as the Thing, and Franklin Richards. Franklin saved Kitty's life and seems to be good friends with her, and I just found out that Kitty and The Thing were part of The Guardians of the Galaxy together. As for Peter, he has always had close relations with the Fantastic Four. Seriously, getting these two together would be much easier than people think. Not to mention they proved it in the Ultimate universe, but the writer gave into Marvel's demands and had to break them up because the third Spider-Man movie was coming out. Seriously, Peter doesn't have to be with Mary Jane to have a happy ending. I am actually glad that they aren't together in the current series and hope that this is Marvel's way of saying that the era of Mary Jane is over.

Chapter 1: The Second Date

Earth-616, New York City, Bunker, Wednesday, December 24

Peter walked away for a moment as everyone talked, he had to make a phone call. With that Peter gets his phone out and dials a number, he then puts it to his ear. The phone rings a few times and Peter thinks that she won't answer. Of course she wouldn't she is probably dealing with this herself, her and Bobby. Just as he is about to hang up and go back to the group, she picks up.

Marauder

Kate is on the Marauder with the rest of her crew excluding Storm who is out in New York helping against the Knull threat. They had just taken out some dragons, but so far none others have attacked, but she and her crew are ready. As she watches though, Kate can't help but worry about Peter. She knows that he is out there right now, what he is doing she isn't sure. She just hopes that he's safe. They may have only had their first date four days ago, but she has talked to his on the phone these last four days, and has really started to care about him. Just then Kate is interrupted from her thought by her cellphone ring. Taking out her cellphone Kate answers, "Hello."

"Hey Kate, it's Peter," Peter said

"Peter," Kate said feeling relief wash through her, "Oh, thank god. Are you ok?"

"Well, that depends on what you consider ok, my entire body hurts, my head is pounding, my suit is tattered, my mask is in shreds, and the only guy who can stop this is currently on death's door. But you know other than that, I'm good. You," he asked

Kate smiled at the joke, even in this perilous situation Peter is still joking, and she can't help but find him funny. "Well, I see a lot of dragons covered in goo which I assume are all symbiotes. When we next see each other we are gonna have a talk about you keeping your villains in check," Kate said making Peter chuckle.

"I can't help it, I think my villains are starting to get bored of me or something. Guess I'm just no longer exciting enough for them anymore," Peter said

"We can come up with a plan, make you more interesting for them," Kate said

"Not too interesting, I become too interesting and the next thing I know I'm attracting the enemies of other heroes. I don't need any more guys in my rogue's gallery," Peter said

"Awe, and here I was planning on sending you Sinister," Kate said

"Oh god, anyone but him, that guy is seriously creepy," Peter said making Kate chuckle.

"Can't argue with you there, try working with him. Very unsettling," Kate said

"I don't know how you do it. working with those guys, definitely more forgiving than I am," Peter said

"HA, not likely, I'm only following Xavier's lead. He trusts them, but if they make one wrong move, I'll be ready," Kate said

"Well, if you ever need help, feel free to call. I'm always happy to annoy other people's villains, let's me try out new material," Peter said

Kate grinned, "I'll remember that," she said, Kate's grin then dropped, "Be honest, what's our chances here?"

Peter frowned, "Right now, looking pretty low, but Tony has some idea to reprogram one of the dragons, get its symbiote and give it to Eddie," Peter said

"So, all of our fates are in the hands of Eddie Brock, Venom himself," Kitty said

"Pretty much," Peter said

"Well, we're screwed," Kate said making Peter chuckle.

"Maybe. This certainly isn't how I imagined spending Christmas Eve," Peter commented

"I'm sure, this is a hanukkah to remember," Kate said

"Hey, I know that you are Jewish, and that we haven't even had our second date yet, but would it be weird if I got you a Christmas present," Peter said

"Why? Did you," Kate asked smiling as she started to blush at the thought of Peter getting her a present. That really sweet of him.

Peter cleared his throat, "I may have," he said

Kate's smile got wider, and her blush got deeper, "That's…really sweet, I hope you didn't spent too much money on it though. We haven't even gone on our second date yet. Let's leave buying expensive stuff for later on," Kate said

"It didn't cost as much as it looks," Peter said

"Wait a minute. You're not being a cheapskate on me, are you? I know I said nothing expensive but at least make sure it's mildly priced," Kate jokes

"I wouldn't call it cheap; you'll just have to see when I see you next," Peter said

"I guess I will, and you'll be able to see yours," Kate said

"You got me a present," Peter asked surprised

"I get all of my friends and family presents, don't make such a big deal about it," Kate said

"Well now I can't wait to see it," Peter said

"Same here," Kate said

Just then Peter hears something, "I have to go, I'll talk to you when this is all over," Peter said

"Right, ok," Kate said, she then took a breath, "Peter," she said

"Yeah," Peter asked

"Be careful out there," Kate said

Peter smiled, "You too Kate, we'll talk when this is over, and it will be, I know it," he said

Kate smiled, hearing Peter's certainty of them coming out on top makes Kate believe they will. "Bye Peter," she said

"Bye Kate," Peter said with that, they both hung-up. Peter then walked back over to Eddie's table to be with Dylan and wait for Tony, hopefully with a symbiote that will save Eddie's life.

Four days later, Sunday, December 28, New York City, Peter's Apartment

Peter Parker wearing a green collared t-shirt and blue jeans was in his living room checking the movies, he is really hoping that they don't have it. Finally, and sadly, he finds the movie that he was looking for but also hoping that he would never find. Peter picks up the movie and sees Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, "Ah man," Peter said as he stared at the case. His ringing cellphone breaks Peter out of his dreading, taking out his cell phone Peter looked at the caller I.D. and sees the name Kate Pryde, seeing the name Peter can't help but smile. He answered the phone and put it to his ear, "Parker's Cinema home to some of the worst movies on Earth, this is Peter Parker speaking," Peter said

Krakoa, Red Keep, Kate's Room

Kate couldn't help but laugh at the greeting, "What? Parker's Cinema," she said laughing as she looked through some clothes.

"Home to some of the worst movies on Earth. The proof being of what I am currently holding in my hands. Phantom Menace, this series is a menace," Peter said

"I am so gonna have to enlighten you when it comes to the world of cinema," Kate said

"Oh really? What are you gonna show me next, Twilight," Peter said rolling his eyes.

"If you say you hate Twilight…," Kate warned

"I despise Twilight, they ruined vampires and werewolves for me," Peter said

Kate took a deep calming breath; she must resist the urge to debate this. She will defend Twilight's honor later, when she is at his place, for now she called for a reason. "We will discuss Twilight later, right now I was just wondering how everything is going," Kate said

"Define everything," Peter said

"You got the movies," Kate clarified

"I did say that I currently am holding Phantom Menace in my hands right," Peter said, he then sighed, "With my luck I will most likely find the other two movies," Peter said as he looked through more of the movies, "And there they are." Peter then took out Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, "I can't believe that you're gonna make me watch these."

"I won the bet, remember," Kate said making Peter sigh.

"Yes, I remember," Peter said

"Then quit complaining, or I might just make you watch the Clone Wars with me," Kate said

"You can't do that. The Clone Wars series is no longer being shown on TV," Peter said

"Ever hear of Disney+," Kate asked

"I don't have an account," Peter retorted

"I guess it's a good thing that I do then," Kate said grinning, she can just imagine Peter's scowl right now. It's a cute scowl too.

"Hypothetically, if my Star Wars movie collection were to somehow end up missing, does that mean we could do something else," Peter 'hypothetically' asked

"Well, if hypothetically you were to lose the movies, then I might just bring my own collection, not to mention, if Disney plus has the Clone Wars series, what makes you think that they won't have all of the movies," Kate said making Peter sigh again, "Oh come on is there any Star Wars movie that you like?"

"Well, I will admit that I did like The Force Awakens," Peter said

There is a moment of silence until Kate speaks again, "I'm gonna hang up now, because right now I have this incredible urge to bash your head in with a shovel, and I'm gonna have to get rid of that before we see each other again," Kate said making Peter laugh which makes Kate smile, she really does like Peter's laugh.

"Ok, I'll see you, and I'll pick you up at Central Park, at the gate like last time," Peter said

"Just like last time, I'll see you then ok," Kate said

"Ok, see ya," Peter said

"Bye," Kate said, with that they both hung-up their phones.

After she hung up the phone Kate looked at it for a moment and couldn't help but laugh. Eight days ago, she and Peter had their first date and ever since they had phoned each other whenever they could. Even when Knull invaded Peter had called her to checkup which she was thankful for because she herself was worried about him. Every day they talked to one another about everything. It's amazing just how much they could talk about, even the littlest comment can turn into a full-blown conversation between them. There is a dynamic that is forming between them, and Kate loves it. She can't wait for the movie; she wonders what his place looks like. There have always been a few rumors about Spider-Man and some of the other spider-people out there, what they eat, where they live, whether or not some of them lay eggs. Kate doesn't believe the rumors, it's like believing the rumors there are about mutants which has always annoyed her. She wonders if he knows about the rumors about him. She supposes it doesn't matter, she needs to get ready, it's ten and she has to meet him at twelve and she still hasn't found anything to wear. With that Kate got back to looking through her clothes.

New York, Peter's Apartment

Peter sets the movies on top of the TV, "There, now let's see what we have in the snack department," Peter said as he got up and walked over to the kitchen nearby. Once there, Peter opened one of the cabinets and saw a few things, "Nachos, potato chips, barbeque chips, cheese puffs. Got that, but what about dips." Peter then checked the fridge and found some nacho cheese and onion dip. "Great, I guess I have everything."

"Not everything," a voice said grabbing Peter attention, he turned around to see Fred.

"Fred, what are you doing here? I thought you and Randy were going to go out," Peter said annoyed

"We are, but before we left, I wanted to give you something," Fred answered

"And what is that," Peter asked

Fred then takes something from his pocket and throws it to Peter, "This," he said

Peter catches the item and looks at it, and now that he has, he really wishes that he hadn't, because what he realized what he has in his hand is a condom, "A condom," Peter said incredulously

"Some of the strongest there is, can't go wrong with this baby," Fred said

"Fred, this is only our second date. We're watching a movie, not having sex," Peter said

"The ending of the date can turn into, what you want it to turn into. Who knows, maybe the movie will get her in the mood, and then you can swoop in and make your move," Fred said annoying Peter, just then Randy exits his room.

"Leave him alone Fred, and let's go. Ignore what Fred said Pete. Good luck on your date, and we'll see you later," Randy said

"Thanks Randy, later," Peter said

"Let's go Fred," Randy said as he headed to the door.

"Right behind you, bro," Fred said, he then looked at Peter, "Good luck." Fred then turned around and followed Randy out the door.

Once Peter was sure that the two were gone, he opened the trashcan and dropped the condom inside it. This is his and Kate's second date, he doesn't have plans on doing that for some time, and that's only if she wants to. Sighing, Peter decides to move on and forget about Fred right now, he needs to make sure everything is in order. So, he has the movies, he has the snacks, he's sure that they'll most likely be getting takeout for dinner. Taking a quick look around Peter sees that the living room isn't exactly the cleanest, he blames Fred for that, the guy just had to stay up all night and play Call of Duty. He doesn't want Kate to think that he is some kind of slob, with that in mind Peter decides to start cleaning the apartment to make it more representable for his date.

90 minutes later

Peter is walking down the sidewalk of New York heading to Central Park to pick up Kate. He must admit despite what they are gonna watch, he is looking forward to the date. He had such a good time on the first one. He's also looking forward to seeing her, ever since Kull's invasion Peter has been wanting to see Kate in person since. Hey, he can't help it, he likes to know that the people in his life are safe, and Kate just may be his girlfriend. They still need to talk about that, Peter honestly wouldn't be opposed to it. Suddenly an alarm goes off, getting Peter's attention, he looks up to see Electro, robbing a jewelry shop. Peter raises an eyebrow, "That's new," he said, he hasn't seen anyone rob jewelry stores in quite a long time. Peter looks at his watch and sees that it's 11:30, "Got thirty minutes. I can wrap this up in twenty, and I'll have ten to be there," Peter noted, he's got time. With that Peter runs over to an alley and changes into his Spider-Man suit. Spider-Man then fires his web and swings out of the alley, and heads over to his electric villain. "Hey, Electro, how's it going?"

Electro turned to see his hated enemy, "Spider-Man," Electro said as Spider-Man landed in front of him.

"You know, I have to give it to you, I haven't seen anyone rob a jewelry store in a long time. Bravo," Spider-Man said as he clapped, "Now what do you say you come with me, and I take you to jail?" In response Electro tries to blast the wall-crawler who jumps away landing on a streetlight, dodging it.

"How about I stop your heart instead," Electro said as he blasts at Spider-Man who dodges it by jumping off the light and landing on the street.

"Sorry Electro can't have that today, I have a date, and right now she's waiting for me, so do me a solid, let me web you up and we'll be done here," Spider-Man said, but Electro just tried to blast him which he backflipped over, "So, that's a no then. Ok Electro, let's tango," Spider-Man then jumped toward Electro ready to fight.

Krakoa, Red Keep

Kate, who is wearing a red sweater (Look on Amazon for Minthunter Women's Long Sleeve Color Block Cute Shirt Round Neck Casual Tops) with blue jeans, and white tennis shoes was walking down the hall of the Red Keep heading toward the exit with Peter's Christmas/Hanukkah present in hand. She hopes he likes the present, it isn't anything fancy, if there is one thing she's learned about Peter he isn't the type of guy who seeks extravagant things. So she kept that in mind when looking for the gift, she just hopes it's not too simple. She really can't wait for her date with Peter, despite his complaining about the movie, she knows that they will have a good time. Just then Bobby walks out of his room and sees Kate.

"Hey Kate, what's up," Bobby said as he looked at his ex, the fact that she is wearing regular clothes and not her Red Queen garb Bobby has a feeling that he knows where she is going.

"Oh, hey Bobby," Kate greets, "Just heading to New York, got a date with Peter."

"Oh, your second date is today," Bobby exclaimed

"Yep, it's today, I'm on my way to Illyana so she can teleport me there. I'll admit that I'm kind of excited," Kate said a smile forming on her face which Bobby noticed.

Bobby nodded, "What's that in your hand," he asked pointing to Peter's present making Kate realize that its in her hand.

Kate blushed and pocketed the present, "Nothing just Peter's present," she said making bobby grin.

"You got him a present," Bobby said

"Yes, I got him a present, I get everyone presents for the holidays. I even got you a present, remember," Kate said

"Yes, I remember," Bobby said

"I just hope he likes it, that it's not too simple," Kate said

"Trust me, he'll like it. he's been needing a new one for a while now, and I'm sure he'll also get a kick out of it," Bobby said

"Well, that makes me feel a little better," Kate said

Bobby smiled until he realized something, "Wait, you're going on your second date wearing that," he asked

"What's wrong with this," Kate asked as she looked down at her outfit, she thinks that she looked cute.

"Well, nothing I guess, but I'd figure you'd maybe doll yourself up, you know maybe some makeup, eyeshadow, lipstick, maybe another dress," Bobby said

Kate gave Bobby a deadpan look, "Really Bobby," she said

"I'm not saying wear the dress that you wore on your first date, but maybe a sun dress or something. You know something that will make you shine. Something that will make his mouth drop open," Bobby said

"Bobby, this is a movie date. This is a much more casual date which we both are more comfortable with," Kate explained

"I'm just saying a bit more effort would go a long way. If you're self-conscious about being the only one who dressed up, I can easily call Peter and tell him to do the same. Knowing him he'll do it just so you won't feel silly," Bobby said taking out his cell phone to call Peter but is stopped by Kate.

"No, no Bobby, you already had us dress up on our first date, which by the way neither of us were the most comfortable with," Kate said

"Don't act like you didn't like it, I bet you were both stunned by how the other looked," Bobby said

Kate ignored Bobby's comment, she wasn't about to let him know that when she first saw Peter, he took her breath away with how handsome he looked in his outfit. Now that she thinks about it, she wonders what he thought of her in her dress. He said that she looked nice in her dress, but she could tell that was just a way to break the silence between them and start up conversation, which in the end worked. He did say that she was beautiful so that is something, but now she really can't help but wonder his reaction. Deciding to think of that later Kate continued, "You told us to wear formal clothing, and you told Peter that he had to pick a nice restaurant or else I would be offended," Kate said sending Bobby a glare. During one of their many phone conversations Kate decided to be honest with Peter about how she felt about them dressing up and about going to Luigi's for their date. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed herself, Luigi's has some good food, and Kate wouldn't be opposed to going there again for another date, but she just felt it was too much for a first date between two people who really didn't know each other. Surprising her Peter felt the same way, he had told her that despite wanting to give her a good time, he was well aware that he could have done that at a more casual restaurant like Olive Garden, or Cellini's Pizzeria, she honestly wouldn't have been opposed to either. The only reason why Peter took the trouble in making reservations was that Bobby said that she would be offended by anything less. Yeah, Bobby played them both, and they weren't the most thrilled about it. Thankfully Bobby isn't the one who is planning their dates anymore, they are.

"He told you that heh," Bobby said chuckling nervously

"Yes, he did tell me that, he also told me that when you told me his secret ID that you did so without his permission. Gotta say Bobby, dick move," Kate said

"I did it for you guys, besides let's face it, you would have figured it out in no time," Bobby defended

"Either way, you shouldn't have done it. If you did that to me, I would have killed you," Kate said

"I said I was sorry, normally I never would have done that, but just like we thought it was necessary in telling your mom about the resurrection protocol to make your intervention affective. I believed it was necessary for you to know who he was so your relationship would be much easier on the both of you," Bobby explained

"This is our second date Bobby, I wouldn't say there is a relationship yet," Kate said making Bobby grin, "What?"

"You said yet, that means you want there to be a relationship," Bobby said making Kate blush.

"Well, I uh, um, I gotta go, I don't want to be late," Kate said as she rushed past Bobby who started laughing.

New York City, 20 minutes into the fight

Electro shoots a blast at Spider-Man only for the wall-crawler to jump away and dodge in, "You can really feel the static charge on that," Spider-Man said, Electro tried to blast Spider-Man again, but he jumped and twisted his body out of the way, once he landed Spider-Man shot his web and swung Electro against the car. Spider-Man then runs to Electro and jumps up in the air, Electro however is able to get his bearings and fires his electricity at Spider-Man and this time it hits him. Spider-Man falls on the ground screaming in pain as electricity courses through his body. As Electro gets up, he walked toward Spider-Man and increased the power of his blast burning the back of his suit.

Central Park, Krakoan gate

Kate was standing next to the Krakoan gate waiting for Peter to show up, he was five minutes late. What could be taking him so long? She knows that he knows when their date is, they just talked about it not too long ago. They were both looking forward to it, well she's pretty sure that he was looking forward to it, despite his complaining about the movie. Could that be it, the movie? Does he really not want to see it so badly that he would blow her off?

Kate quickly shook her head just as she thought of that, "Get a hold of yourself Kate, he's Spider-Man, he probably ran into some trouble and had to jump in to save the day. Just like you, he's a hero, and we save the day, it's what we do. Let's give him five more minutes then I'll call him," she said to herself.

Fight

"It looks like you won't be making that date," Electro said increasing the power.

'Come on Parker think of something,' Spider-Man thought, he then looked around and caught the sight of the news crew who had come shortly after the fight started to broadcast it, reporters really had no sense of self-preservation. As he saw the news crew, Spider-Man saw something that he could use, good thing that he is wearing a mask, he doubts that he could afford to replace that. With that Spider-Man shoots a web at the camera and pulls it away from the man getting a 'HEY' from him. Spider-Man then throws the camera at Electro, and it hit the villain in the head stunning him and making him stumble. Just as Electro stopped his blast, Spider-Man quickly got up and gave Electro a hard uppercut sending him 15 feet in the air and then making him fall to the ground, knocked out. A panting Spider-Man looked at a downed Electro, "Well that's all folks," he said as he webbed Electro to the ground. Just then Spider-Man was surrounded by reporters asking him a ton of questions.

"Spider-Man, what was Electro trying to steal," one reporter

"What is your opinion of the mutant nation Krakoa," another reporter said

"Are Iceman and Firestar still on our side," another said

"You owe me a new camera you jerk," the camera man said

"Sorry gents but any questions that you have, you will have to talk to my agent," Spider-Man said

"Who're they," another reporter asked

"Don't know, I'll let you know if I find one," Spider-Man said as he shot a web and swung away from the scene and headed to the alley where he left his clothes. Once there, Peter changed into his civilian clothes and left the alley. Just then Peter's cellphone goes off, he takes out his phone and answers it. "Hello," Peter answered

Krakoan Gate

"Hey Peter, it's Kate, I was just calling to make sure if everything is ok," Kate said

"Oh Kate," Peter breathed out, he then checked his watch and saw that he was ten minutes late, "Yeah sorry, I ran into some trouble, and I had to take care of it."

Kate smiled, "It's alright, better that than blowing me off," she said

Peter took a breath trying to hide the pain that he is feeling on his back, "I'd never do that Kate, not without good reason. That I can promise you," he said

Despite him trying his best to hide it, Kate could hear the exhaustion and pain in Peter's voice and frowned in concern, "Are you ok, you sound like you're in pain," she asked

"I'm ok, no need to worry, I'll be there soon, I promise," Peter said

"Ok, I'll see you soon," Kitty said

"Alright, see you soon, bye" Peter said

"Bye," Kate said, with that they both hung up their phones,

Once he hung up his phone Peter headed to Central Park. It took him ten minutes until he got to the Central Park Krakoan gate. As he approached the gate Peter could see Kate waiting, seeing her in her outfit Peter had to say that she looked cute. As Peter approached trying not to wince at the pain that he is feeling on his back, Kate took notice of him and what he was wearing, 'So, he's a collared shirt kind of guy, never would have guessed,' she thought, not that Kate is complaining, she has to admit that he did look handsome in his outfit, she smiled which he returned.

"Hey sorry I'm late," Peter said

"Don't worry about it, you're here now. So, let's go," Kate said, with that the two headed out of Central Park and on toward Peter's apartment. "So, what trouble did you run into?"

"Electro decided to rob a jewelry store," Peter answered

"Really? A jewelry store," Kate asked

"I know, I was surprised too. Guess he got tired of trying banks," Peter said making Kate chuckle.

"Or he thought that no one would notice a jewelry store being robbed," Kate said

"I notice everything, thanks to all of my little helpers around the city I know all," Peter said

Kate laughed until she stopped and looked at Peter, "Really? Can you…really talk to spiders," she asked

"Oh yeah, I can talk to them. I talk to them about a lot of things, where they work, what they eat, is blood the most nutritional diet they have, I ask the men how do they not have a panic attack with having a thousand babies, I also ask the female spiders why they eat the male's head. Spoiler they hate men," Peter said

Kate just looked at him for a moment not sure if he's serious, the growing smile on his face plus his snickers make the answer obvious which makes her elbow Peter, "Jerk," Kate exclaimed

"Hey," Peter said laughing

"That's what you get for screwing with me," Kate retorted

"I can't believe…you believed…that," Peter said laughing between words.

"Well, how am I supposed to know? Your name is Spider-Man, it can't be too far of a stretch that you can talk to spiders right," Kate said

"Are you kidding, I can't even produce my own webbing. Talking to spiders," Peter said shivering a bit, "I'm thankful that I can't do that, I don't think I'd have any friends. Who wants to hang out with a guy who is surrounded by spiders 24/7," Peter said

"Wait. You can't produce your own webbing," Kate asked

"Nope, no organic webbing for this guy," Peter answered

"Then how do you shoot your webs," Kitty asked

"I have these things called web shooters," Peter said

"Web shooters," Kate repeated

"Yep, when I discovered that I couldn't shoot webs, I invented the web shooters to help make it more authentic," Peter said

"So, what is the webbing, just a chemical compound that you produce," Kate said

"Actually, it is. Using my knowledge in chemistry I was able to create my own webbing and put it in cartridges. Once in the cartridge I would insert it into the web shooter," Peter explained

"So, when you do that thing with your hand," Kate said making the hand gesture that Peter does when he shots his web, "That's you triggering the web shooter to shoot the webbing?"

"Yep, and the cool thing about making my own webbing is that I can play with the formula so to say," Peter said

"What do you mean," Kate asked

"I can make different variations of webbing, I've made sonic webbing, acid webbing, electric webbing," Peter said

"Really? That's cool. You think that you can show me them," Kate asked

"The web shooters or the webbing," Peter asked

"Both, if you don't mind," Kate said

"Not at all, I have some with me right now. If you want, I can show you when we get to my place," Peter said

"Sounds cool, but don't you think that this is gonna get you out of watching Star Wars with me," Kate said smiling, "We have ourselves quite the afternoon Mr. Parker."

"Yeah, yeah, so you keep reminding me," Peter said rolling his eyes. "So, I spoke to Bobby yesterday, and he told me something very interesting which leads me to a question. Did you run into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?"

"What," Kate said

"Did you run into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," Peter asked

"Why are you asking me that," Kate asked incredulously

"Well Bobby told me that you spent some time swimming down the sewers in Mandipoor a couple of days ago. So, I was just wondering," Peter answered

Kate immediately became annoyed as it became clear on what Peter was referring to, 'I told him not a word to Peter. I'm gonna kill you Bobby,' Kate thought as she remembered that day a few days ago. When they were in Mandipoor, they weren't allowed in the country because of a setup, so in order to help the people in Lowtown they decided to enter through the sewers. Problem was that the only entrance that they could get to was in the ocean. And Kate, she wanted to help, she really did, but.

Two days ago, on another part of the Marauder

Kate was looking down at the water of the ocean. This water was used for a lot of things, it is used by the sea creature as a home, it is used for the people of Earth to drink, it is used to cool off on a hot day by swimming, but most recently just a few weeks ago, this water was used to kill her. A few weeks ago, she drowned in this very ocean. Kate suddenly starts to remember that day and feels a panic attack coming on. 'No, not now, the people of Lowtown need help, I can't be scared. Come on Kate don't be a coward,' Kate thought, but it was no use she could feel the water surrounding her, touching her skin. The thought that she may have to go in the ocean again nearly sends her in shock as she starts shaking.

"Kate," Bobby's voice said as he places a hand on her shoulder making Kate jump, she quickly turned around to face Bobby. Once he saw her, Bobby was glad that he decided to follow Kate because right now, she looked absolutely terrified, her body was shaking, and her breathing was quickening, and sweat was starting to appear on her skin. "Kate, look at me," he said placing his hands on her shoulders, "You need to take deep breathes ok?" When Kate didn't respond Bobby spoke again, "Kate do you hear me?" That seemed to have done it because Kate did nod this time. "Deep breathes Kate."

"I…I d…don't thi…think," Kate said as she started to gasp for air. She can't breathe, oh god, she can't breathe.

"Yes, you can Kate, you can. You just have to think of something else," Bobby said

"I can't," Kate whispered

Bobby tried to think on what he can do to calm Kate down when it came to him, "I hear that you and Peter have been phoning each other," Bobby said getting Kate's attention, "The two of you, ever since your first date, you've done nothing but talk like two love struck teenagers." He could see that he has Kate's attention and that she is listening, 'Good.' "I told you Kate that you would come out of your first date as a love-struck schoolgirl."

"I…I did…did not co…come back…as…a love struck sch…schoolgirl," Kate said back gasping between words

"You so did, through our entire mission you had a lovestruck smile on," Bobby said

"I…I did not," Kate said starting to calm down more which Bobby noticed, good that was his plan.

"Don't deny it Kate, you're crazy for him admit it," Bobby said

"We went on one date Bobby, I think it's a bit too early to say I'm crazy for him," Kate said

"With how fast you move Kate, I'm not so sure. Let's not forget that you did get engaged to that glorified astronaut after only a few months of dating," Bobby said

"Well, I…," Kate said but was stuck on what else to say, until, "SHUT UP." Bobby laughed at Kate's response which she joined in, "Thanks Bobby."

"Hey," Bobby said placing a hand on Kate's shoulder, "I know you didn't want anyone to know about what has been going on with you, I get it you have always been an independent person. You always tried to show everyone that you were not to be underestimated and could hold your own. But we're here Kate, and we're here to help, you don't even have to ask. But you're welcome."

"Did I really have a lovestruck smile when I got back or were you just saying that," Kate asked curiously.

"Oh, it was there, you may not admit it now, but you're in love. The both of you are," Bobby said making Kate roll her eyes at Bobby, she then turned back to look at the water. "Hey," Bobby said getting Kate's attention, "You don't have to do this Kate someone else can go down there and put the gate up."

"No, I want to help. I can't just stay on this ship while the people of Lowtown are in danger. Resurrection protocol or not, I would never be able to live with myself if I did that," Kate said

"Well, let's get you something that can help then," Bobby said getting a questioning look from Kate. "Come on," with that Bobby left to inside the ship with Kate following,

In a room

The door opened and in comes Iceman and Kate, once they enter Kate sees a wet suit, face mask, and an advanced looking sea scooter. "What's this," Kate asked

"It's a diving suit, you put this wet suit on, and you won't feel an ounce of water on you, it will be as if you are on dry land. This sea scooter will do the swimming for you, with its scanner, it scans the surrounding area, and you tap the screen on where you want to go and it will take you there. All you have to do is tap the entrance, you can have your eyes closed the entire time. This thing will do everything," Bobby said

"Where did you get this," Kate asked

"It's one of Forge's ideas for deep sea diving, figured with us being on a ship in the ocean and with what happened it could help," Bobby said

Kate then throws her arms around Bobby and hugs him, "Thank you Bobby," Kate said

"No problem, now I'll let you change," Bobby said, he then exited the room so Kate could change clothes.

After Kate let in the Morlocks

Kate exits the sewer and back into the ocean, she can't wait to get back to the Marauder, when she's there she has twenty-one things that she needs to do, first is throw-up again, because wetsuit of not she could smell the sewage and the fact that she was in it is seriously disgusting, and then she's gonna take twenty showers. Doesn't matter how much he likes her, which Kate is pretty sure is a lot, Peter would never kiss her as long as she is covered in sewer water. Finally, Kate reaches the Marauder and is pulled up by Bobby.

"Plan worked. The chatter on the radio is a group of sewer monsters have engaged the Reavers in Lowtown," Bobby said as he helped Kate get on board the ship.

"I snuck around and phased the Verendi bulldozers into the ground. Lowtown will live another day," Kate said, she then huffed, "I think I'm gonna be sick again." Kate accepted a towel that was offered to her and used it to dry her hair. "I need the healing gardens. Or Arbor Magna."

"Nonsense. You need you a Pyrogarita," Pyro said offering Kate a margarita.

"Yes, I do," Kate said, about to take the margarita, she paused though as she remembered her intervention. She then glanced at Bobby who was observing the scene with a small frown. Kate took a deep breath, no she does not need alcohol to make her day better, "Actually, you can have that Pyro, I think I'll just get a Spite."

"You sure," Pyro asked surprised, as long as he's been with the Marauders Kate has always accepted drinks, it's what in his opinion made her a great captain. She was always willing to have fun.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Kate said as she handed the margarita back to Pyro.

"Whatever," Pyro said as he walked away.

Suddenly Kate hears a snapshot and turns to look at Bobby who is holding up his camera phone to her, "I can't wait to tell Peter this when I next talk to him, this photo is just more proof. You swimming in a sewer," Bobby said laughing

That put Kate on alert, "Bobby NO, don't you dare. Peter is to never know about this," Kate said

"Just wait till I tell him about your puke breath," Bobby said

"Bobby, I swear if you tell Peter about this, I will send you to the resurrection protocol myself," Kate threatened

"Ok, ok, I won't tell, scouts honor," Bobby said

Present

Peter then takes out his phone and opened it up, he then showed Kate and there she saw herself in that picture with the wetsuit on, covered in sewer water, 'Scout's honor my foot,' Kate thought, maybe she will invest in that plank, just so she can feed Bobby to the sharks. 'No that wouldn't work, he'd just be revived annoying me again.'

"You look good in a wetsuit," Peter said getting Kate's attention.

"Give me that," Kate said as she tried to take the phone, but Peter expected it and moved his hand away. "I will phase through that phone and short circuit it, I swear I will," Kate threatened

"Ahh, but then how would I be able to grace you with the melody that is me," Peter joked

"Melody? More like disfunction," Kate retorted

"Well, that's just rude," Peter said making Kate laugh, she then goes to try and take the phone again.

"Nope," Peter said dodging Kate.

"Give me that phone," Kate said

"But you look so cute in the wetsuit," Peter said

"NOW," Kate said

"Ok, you can have it," Peter said holding out his phone, Kate goes to take it but then Peter turns and runs, "IF YOU CAN CATCH ME THAT IS."

"WHAT," Kate exclaimed in surprise, "HEY, PETER," Kate then takes off running after the man, "GET BACK HERE YOU JERK!"

They then spent the next fifteen minutes with Kate chasing Peter, but after the first five minutes it stopped being about the phone and they just started doing it because it was fun.

"GET BACK HERE YOU JERK AND GIVE ME THAT FLARKING PHONE," Kate said

"Excuse me," Peter asked

"It's space talk, it's me cussing at you," Kate explained as she tries to jump for Peter, but he speeds up just dodging her making her growl and look up to see Peter six feet from her.

"Well not the first time I've been cussed at before, although being cussed at with a space cuss word is a first," Peter said

"Well, I'm glad I could be your first," Kate quipped making Peter chuckle, Kate then tries to tackle Peter, but he dashes away dodging her. "DAMMIT," Kate then chased Peter again. After another ten minutes of chasing Kate decides to cheat. She pushes off the ground and uses her powers to help her float in the air gaining speed, thankfully she was just at the right amount of distance to where it looked like she was making a long jump. Just as Kate was above him, she dropped down on his back, "GOTCHA." What Kate didn't know is that by doing that, she agitated the large burn on his back. Peter's body stiffened in pain, he tried to hide his grunt, so he didn't get any attention to himself. He did a good job, the people surrounding him didn't notice anything, Kate, however, did notice, she felt Peter's body tense and heard his pain filled grunt, and she couldn't help but wonder what was wrong. What was he hiding? "Peter," Kate said as Peter stopped and she got off his back, she then stepped to where she was in front of Peter so she could look at his face. He was doing a good job, but Kate has been on a team full of stubborn men and has attended to a lot of dumb kids to know when someone is trying to hide their pain, and she can tell that is exactly what Peter was doing. "What's wrong?"

"What do you mean," Peter asked making Kate narrow her eyes.

"I mean, you're in pain, and for some reason you are trying to hide it," Kate said

"I'm fine Kate, just a little burn Electro gave me," Peter said, he didn't want to worry Kate, it will be healed up by tomorrow, he's sure.

"I saw a man break his fist punching you in the face, and you didn't even flinch. Yet when I landed on your back, your entire body tensed, and you were trying to muffle your scream. That's not a small burn," Kate said

"I'm fine really, nothing to worry about," Peter reassured, he then took his phone and handed it to Kate, "Here, do with it what you will."

Kate took the phone and unlocked it, looking at the picture, she looked at it for a moment and sighed, she then locked the phone back up and handed it back to Peter.

"Let's head back to your apartment, so I can take a look at that burn," Kate said, right when Peter was about to object Kate interrupted him, "No objections, I am taking a look at that burn," Kate said firmly, seeing that this wasn't something he could win Peter nodded, "Good, now lead the way." With that Peter led them to his apartment building, during that time Kate told him everything that she did in Mandipoor.

"So, your friend Bishop blew up a building, and the town you saved changed its name to Mutietown," Peter said

"He didn't blow up a building, he blew up a lab, and apparently they renamed the town," Kate said

"Wait, I thought that mutie was offensive to mutants. That doesn't insult you guys or anything," Peter asked

Kate shrugged, "Normally, it is an insult, but the people of the town did it to honor us, so just this once we're ok with it," Kate said getting a nod from Peter.

"Must have been gross swimming in sewer water," Peter said

Kate couldn't help but shiver for two reasons, one she was in water, thankfully she wore that suit, and closed her eyes. If not for that she would have frozen in the water and drowned again, quickly before she could think any further in that Kate banished that thought from her head. She cannot have a panic attack in front of Peter, he's a great guy and all, but she doesn't even like her friends to see her in such a vulnerable position. The second reason for her shiver was the smell. Couldn't Forge have blocked the smell when he made that suit? "Believe me, it was gross," Kate said, Peter then told Kate about his run-in with Martin Lee the civilian identity of Mr. Negative, he told Kate how his aunt took Martin in for shelter. Kate was surprised by that, "Did she know who he was?"

"Yeah, she knew who she was helping, but she didn't care. Martin needed help, and she was willing to give it," Peter confirmed, his aunt was a kind and helpful woman, it doesn't matter who it is, his aunt will help anyone in need. It's just who she is. "However, Martin was literally running from his sins." Kate was confused by that, it then occurred to Peter that she probably didn't know about Sin Eater. So, Peter told Kate about Sin Eater and how the guy has the power to apparently purify people of their sins. He explained how he hunted every villain in New York and shot them with his shot gun which apparently if you got hit by it then you were cleansed from your sins, he explained how every time a villain got shot it's like all the evil was taken away from them and in their place were decent people. One shot from the gun and he would turn the nastiest villain who had no guilt of what he did to a man who felt tremendous guilt for his actions and wanted to right his wrongs. He explained how Sin Eater gained a following which caused a lot of trouble. He then explained how Lee went to Sin Eater willingly and asked to have his sins purified, which eventually happened. Peter then decided to leave it there much to Kate's annoyance.

"You can't just stop after that, that's like stopping a movie when it was getting to the best part," Kate said making Peter just grin and laugh. "That ability that Sin Eater had though, it had to come with a price, something like that, is too good to be true," Kate commented

"Trust me, it was, that's why I was so against it. It was just too good, having an ability like that. I did eventually find out more about his motivations though," Peter said

"Oh, and what was that," Kate asked curiously.

"He wanted to prove that my way was the wrong way, that there needed to be a permanent solution to the villains of New York. He wanted to prove that he was better than me, and to him he was proving it by taking down my rogue's gallery," Peter explained

"Sounds like he had it out for you," Kate said making Peter nod.

"He did, what surprised me was the following he received. People, people were really ok with what he was doing, in fact they were supporting him. It really made me question myself and my methods back then, I talked to a friend about it, and she told me that I expect a lot from people, and they just aren't like that," Peter said

Kate sighed, "If there's one thing I learned in life, people can be cruel, judgmental, and impatient. They tend to think that the methods we use aren't working and we need to change it. It's like that everywhere both with humans and mutants," she said as she remembered the different methods that the X-Men had used over the years for their cause. There was Xavier's method, then there was Magneto's method, she's been on both sides of the coin. Although she never agreed with Scott's methods during his revolution. She only stayed because she was angry and hurt at Logan and that he didn't listen to her after all the sacrifices that she has made for them. In hindsight probably not her best idea, considering later on was the Avengers and X-Men war, then Scott wound up taking over the world with the Phoenix five which made the X-Men team up with the Avengers once they discovered their mistake. Seriously, never again. If anyone ever tries to get them to use some cosmic force to do something, she doesn't care what it is, saving a species, mutant, human, etc., or saving the world, she swears, she will short circuit that person's brain. Kate looked at Peter then, now that she thinks about it, didn't she hear that Peter or Spider-Man who he was, was part of the group of Avengers that invaded Utopia all to get to Hope. Hm, maybe they can trade stories on their involvements in that war. Not today though, no matter how long ago it was, that is still a sensitive subject for the X-Men, and considering what Illyana did to the captured Avengers she's sure that they are probably more sensitive. Now Kate can't help but wonder if Peter was part of the captured Avengers, and if he was, if he had met Illyana again would he hold what happened against her? She hopes not, she'd really like the two of them to get along.

"What was really bad was with every sin he absorbed from my villains, he took away their powers and made them his," Peter said

"Damn. How many guys did he take down," Kate asked

"Not sure, a lot, he certainly gained enough powers that when I fought him, he beat the crap out of me," Peter said

"Ouch," Kate said

"Tell me about it, you wouldn't believe whose powers he eventually got," Peter said

"Whose," Kate asked

"None other than the brother of your nefarious leader," Peter said

"Juggernaut! He got the powers of Juggernaut," Kate asked getting a nod from Peter, "Damn, how did you beat him," Kate said

"I had to make an alliance with my greatest enemy. Together we fought him, eventually we stopped him by trapping him. I don't know what really happened after that but somehow, he was killed," Peter said, actually that wasn't entirely true, after what happened with Kindred, Peter has a feeling that Harry may have killed him. But Peter wasn't gonna tell Kate that yet. That is a can of worms that he's still trying to deal with.

"Hm so Martin Lee, you said that he was literally running from his sins, does that mean that when Sin Eater died everyone he purified turned back to evil," Kate asked

"Yep, sadly so. Well almost everyone," Peter said as he remembered Norman Osborn, the man claims to have changed, but honestly Peter isn't sure. He is certainly gonna be ready if he hasn't. Osborn has tried to make peace with Peter, but Peter can never forget everything that Norman has done to him. After everything he's done, how could Peter ever forgive that?

Peter then explained the rest of the story about how Mr. Negative's gang went back to take him so he could be repossessed by his sins, how he fought them, how they got his aunt and held her hostage, how Martin gave himself up to save Aunt May, and finally how he was repossessed by his sins and became Mr. Negative again.

"Sounds like you went through some stuff," Kate said

"That's not surprising," Peter said making Kate smile, finally they reached his apartment building.

"Heh, so this is the apartment building where the Amazing Spider-Man lives," Kate said

"Yep, this is where I stay," Peter said, they then walked in the building and headed upstairs once they got to the door Peter unlocked it with his keys and grabbed the nob ready to open it.

"Wait," Kate said, stopping Peter to look at her, "Just to be clear, when we go in there, I'm not gonna see a place that is covered in spider webs with little spiders crawling around right," Kate jokingly asked

Peter just stared at her, thinking what the hell, he isn't sure whether to be offended or laugh at the ridiculousness of that. He knows there are rumors about him and his fellow spiders. But is that one of them or did she make that up? "Did you just ask me that," Peter asked

Kate shrugged, "Hey you asked about me having a plank, which that itself is a stereotype. Now you know how it feels," she said

Peter rolled his eyes, "Trust me you have nothing to worry about," he said, Peter then opened the door and let Kate enter first.

Once she was inside Kate looked around. It didn't look like much, just a regular apartment, a couch, kitchenette, a hall that she assumes leads to the bedrooms. She wonders how big his room is, and what's in it. Probably something for another time, "So this is your apartment," Kate stated

"Yep, you expect something different," Peter asked smiling.

"Not sure to be honest, guess I thought there would be more tech or something. Then again maybe I'm just spoiled that I lived in an institute a lot of my life," Kate said

"You are definitely spoiled," Peter joked

Kate suddenly caught movement in the corner of her eye and sees an orange blur running up to them. Instincts kicking in Kate gets ready for a fight, however the orange blur ignores Kate and jumps towards Peter. "PETER," Kate yells as she sees the orange blur collide with Peter's chest. For a moment Kate is worried about her possible boyfriend, still on the fence with that, she'll talk to him about it later. But her worry seems to have been unwarranted because she can hear Peter laughing. Kate finally gets a good look at the scene and sees Peter holding an orange creature who happens to be hugging him.

"It's good to see you too Gog, but I wasn't gone that long," Peter told the Tsiln as he pets him.

"Um Peter," Kate said getting Peter's attention on her, "Wh…what is that," she asked as she looks at the creature questioningly.

"Oh, this is Gog, my pet," Peter said

"You're pet," Kate repeated getting a nod from Peter.

"Yep," Peter answered

"You realize that people normally, have dogs, cats, or even hamsters for pets right," Kate asked, still trying to process on what she's seeing.

"Says the woman with a pet dragon," Peter laughed as he pets Gog who enjoyed it.

Kate can't help but smirk in response, "Lockheed is not a pet, he's my companion, but either way, touché," she said, Kate then takes another look at Gog, "Is…he friendly," Kate asked cautiously as she walked closer to Peter and Gog, eyeing Gog wearily who seemed to return the favor.

"To everyone but Randy for some reason," Peter said, he saw the caution on Kate's face, "There's no reason to be scared you know. Gog is actually really friendly," Peter said

"I'm not scared," Kate exclaimed almost offended at being accused of being scared, "I'm just cautious, there's a difference."

"Don't worry, if it comes down to it, I will protect you from the little orange menace," Peter joked

"Well now I feel safer," Kate joked, she then hesitantly reached out her hand slowly toward Gog, as to not startle him. Gog looks at the hand curiously but sniffs it to make sure whether the woman is a threat to his friend or not. After he sniffs her hand, Gog looks up at Kate and much to their surprise jumps at her. Before either can do anything, Gog collides with Kate knocking her off her feet making her fall on the couch.

"KATE," Peter said as he hears Kate making noises, Peter immediately goes over ready to pull Gog off Kate but stops when he takes a closer look. There is Gog on top of Kate licking her face making her laugh.

"HAHAHAHAHA STOP IT, HAHAHAHAHAHA, DOWN BOY, HAHAHAH, PETER HAHAHA GET HIM HAHAHAH OFF," Kate laughed

Peter laughed at the sight, "Looks like he likes you," Peter comments.

"AH, GROSS, HE'S LICKING MY LIPS," Kate said, she then turns her head so she can talk while laughing as she is licked, "You think…can you get him off me now?"

Peter laughs, "Ok Gog, I know she's pretty, but if I have to earn that kiss so do you," Peter joked as he lifted Gog off Kate.

Kate got up from the couch and laughed as she wiped her face that is now covered in Gog's drool, "You sure you still want that kiss," she said

"Well maybe you could wash your face," Peter said back

"Where's the bathroom," Kate said, that may have been a joke but it's actually a good idea.

"In the hallway, first door to your right," Peter answered

Giving her thanks Kate went to the bathroom to wash off the drool from her face, once she got back, Kate had in her hand a bottle and some gauze, "I checked your bathroom and found some stuff to help. Now sit down and take off your shirt," Kate told Peter

"Isn't that kind of moving too fast, I mean this is only our second date," Peter joked

Kate smirked, "Don't make me hit you. Sit down," she commanded, deciding to do as she says Peter sits on the couch, Kate then walked up to the couch and sits to where she is facing Peter's back. "Fair warning, this may feel a little weird." Kate then grabbed Peter's shirt and pulled it, phasing it off him.

"Whoa," Peter said in surprise.

"I told you it would feel weird," Kate said, she then looked at Peter's back and saw a huge burn on the middle of his back. As she saw the burn Kate couldn't help but frown, after their first date, Kate can say that she really likes Peter and hopes to pursue something with him. So, seeing this burn on him, she doesn't like it, and it fills her with worry about what other injuries that he tends to get when going out there alone. Shaking herself from those thoughts, Kate squirts some ointment on her hands, "I'm gonna apply the ointment now," she informed

"Ok," Peter said

With that Kate placed her hand on Peter's back, she felt him tense for a moment but then he relaxed. Once he does that, Kate starts to gently rub the ointment on, trying her best not to cause him pain. "Gotta admit you certainly are good at treating a guy, Nurse Pryde," Peter joked

Kate smiled, "This isn't my first time doing this, I've done this for teammates and students alike," she said

"Hey, I was wondering something. Do you ever miss it," Peter asked

"Miss what," Kate asked as she applied more ointment.

"Well, you used to be a teacher. Do you ever miss it, the institute, teaching the kids," Peter clarified

"Hm, I'll admit, I do miss it at times, despite the hardships that we faced, we did have some good times, some fun times," Kate said, she then smiled, "I remember when watching a baseball game being played by the kids of the Outreach. Seeing them play like that, not a care in the world, just having fun, it really motivated me on keep on fighting."

"You don't see that on Krakoa," Peter asked

"I'm barely on Krakoa, I'm always working, rescuing mutants from hostile countries, and bringing them to Krakoa. I'm surprised I've been on the island as much as I have," Kate said

"Hope I don't sound negative, but this continues, exactly how will we go on dates if you're not on Krakoa where your friend is," Peter asked

"Hm, well Illyana can teleport anywhere as long as she knows the location, and if she can't do it. Do you have a problem with video dates," Kate asked

"Not at all, you certainly wouldn't be the first girl I did long distance with," Peter said

"Good and believe me I'm quite experienced with long distance relationships myself, so we got this," Kate said, she then finished putting the ointment on, "There, let me just bandage this up now." Kate then wrapped Peter with the gauze, once that is done, she ties the gauze tight making sure they don't come undone. "And done, now just don't agitate it too much and I'd say it will be healed within a few weeks."

"Most likely tomorrow," Peter said as he puts his shirt back on, getting a raised eyebrow from Kate, "It's no healing factor but I do have accelerated healing. How do you think I was able to keep this secret as long as I have?"

"Well, either way, accelerated healing or not, don't agitate it, or it will heal much slower and you risk making it worse," Kate said

"Ah, you're worried for me. That's sweet," Peter teased making Kate roll your eyes.

"Please I just don't want to be blamed for your death," Kate said

"Say what you will, but I know you dig me," Peter said

"Whatever hotshot, I'm gonna put the movie in now," Kate said as she got off the couch and headed to the TV.

"Hang on a second," Peter said making Kate stop. Peter then went to his room to get something, a moment later he came out hold a wrapped present. "I owe you a hanukkah present," he said as he handed Kate her present.

As she stares at it Kate can't help but blush a little, him getting her a present really is sweet. She takes notice that the wrapping paper has a bunch of menorahs on it, she can't help but smile at that. Kate then rips off the wrapping paper, once she disposes of the wrapping paper Kate sees that she is holding a book titles The Edge of Knowledge Unsolved Mysteries of the Cosmos. Kate looks at the book in surprise, "Wha," she said

"I remember you said that you studied Astrophysics and I thought that maybe you would enjoy this. I was able to get at a book sale, hope it's good," Peter said

"You really got me this," Kate said surprised

"Yeah. Why? Do you not like it," Peter asked raising an eyebrow.

"No, no, I love it," Kate said as she looked at Peter smiling, "I'm just not used to people actually getting me things that are related to my fields of knowledge you know," Kate said

"Really," Peter asked

"Really, you are the first person who has ever given me something like this, and I really appreciate it," Kate said

"I just thought that maybe you'd want to stay up-to-date if the field," Peter said shrugging.

"Well thank you, I have actually heard about this book but I was never able to get my hands on one. Never found the time," Kate said

"Well now you have one," Peter said

"I do," Kate said, she then sighed, "Now I feel like I didn't put enough effort in my gift. I know that you're a guy who doesn't seek extravagant things, so I tried to get a present that wasn't extravagant, but now I feel like it's too simple."

"I'm sure I'll like whatever you got me, whatever it is," Peter said

Kate sighed, "Ok," she said, she then reached in her pocket and took out a wrapped up object. Peter took the gift from her and unwrapped it to see a leather wallet with a silver X on it.

"A wrallet," Peter said

"Yeah, I remember you said that you were looking for a new wallet because your old one was starting to fall apart, so I decided to get you one," Kate explained giving Peter a small smile. She can't help but feel worried that he won't like it, that she didn't put enough thought into it.

Peter smiled, "Thanks, I really needed one," he said as he looked it over.

Seeing Peter smile made Kate feel relief, "No problem, it took some searching. The wallet wasn't cheap but it wasn't expensive either, so I thought it was a good gift. Glad I made the right call," she said

"You did," Peter said, he then pointed to the silver X, "The X, is that what I think it is."

"If you think that is the X-Men's logo then yes, it is," Kate said smirking

"Neat, I'll admit, I don't think I have much X-Men memorabilia," Peter said

"We'll have to fix that," Kate commented as she smiled at Peter who returned it. "Ok, now I am gonna put in the movie," she said as she turned toward the TV.

"Sure, you want any snacks, a drink," Peter offered

"Sure, got any Sprite," Kate accepted

"Luckily I do," Peter said, he then headed to the kitchen and got all the snacks, as well as a Sprite for Kate and a Coke for him. Once he laid all the snacks down, he saw Kate get out Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and gave Peter a smirk which caused Peter to roll his eyes but smile back. Kate put in the movie and they both sat down and started the movie. Gog decided to join them by jumping on Kate's lap. Kate was surprised but smiled and pet Gog as they watched the movie. As they watched Peter would make comments in the movie to which Kate would defend. "You see that's a nine-year-old racing a death race and has survived that long. How does that make sense?"

"He has the Force, only a Force wielder could race this race and live. Let's not forget he wins it to," Kate defended

They watched as Qui-Gon talked to Jar-Jar Binks, "Mesa, Intelligent," Jarjar said

"Having the ability to speak does not make you intelligent," Qui-Gon said making Peter and Kate laugh.

"Ok, I'll admit he is pretty funny," Peter said

"Ha, Jarjar always is," Kate said

They watched as Qui-Gon started his lightsaber dual against Darth Maul and was stabbed in the stomach by the Sith. "He really didn't last long did he," Peter quipped

"Oh, come on, give him a break. He was used to put Ob-Wan and Anakin together as master and padawan. They share a common pain, and they'll bond over it and become the ultimate team," Kate said

They watched the ending scene of Qui-Gon's funeral, and Obi-Wan promised to train Anakin in the ways of the Force. The scene then ended and went to the credits. Kate then turned to Peter, "Well," she said only to get a shrug which earned him an elbow making him grunt, "Jerk. On to the next one," she said making Peter groan, "Oh quit your complaining you big baby." Peter smiled in response, he then got off the couch and ejected the DVD, he then took the next DVD and put it in. Peter then got up and sat back on the couch next to Kate, unknown to either of them Peter had sat himself closer to her and Kate was starting to lean more toward Peter. The movie then played.

Obi-Wan was sitting at a bar when a dealer walked up to him, "You want to buy some death sticks," the dealer asked

"You don't want to sell me death sticks," Obi-Wan said

"I don't want to sell you death sticks," the dealer said

"You want to go home and rethink your life," Obi-Wan said

"I want to go home and rethink my life," the dealer said, he then turned around and left the bar.

Seeing this Peter and Kate laughed at that, "That is classic Obi-Wan Kenobi," Kate said

Obi-Wan is shown falling from the sky until he is caught by Anakin in a hovercar, "What took you so long," Obi-Wan asked

"You really have to appreciate just how calm a person can be after that," Peter said

"He's a Jedi Master, this is his normal," Kate retorted as she grabbed a cheese puff and ate it.

"I don't like sand, it's coarse rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here, here everything is soft and smooth," Anakin tells Padme as he touches her hand.

"Oh yeah, that's subtle," Peter said rolling his eyes making Kate laugh.

"I know, he is so obvious," Kate said

"I could do better," Peter said

"Could you," Kate asked as she looked at Peter.

"Sure, I don't see why not," Peter said

"Uh heh," Kate said

"What you don't believe me," Peter asked

"Not really," Kate said

"I could so do better than that," Peter said

"Really," Kate said getting a nod from Peter, "Then prove it."

"What," Peter said

"Prove that you can do better. Show me what you got. Wow me with your flirtation," Kate said

"Ok," Peter said, he then cleared his throat, "Did we take the same science class together, because I swear we have chemistry," Peter said making Kate burst out laughing.

"Oh my god…that was…so terrible…," Kate said laughing between words.

"That was not terrible, that was good," Peter said

"It was terrible," Kate said

"It's better than his, for crying out loud, what he said could easily be interpreted as an inuendo," Peter said making Kate snort.

"How about we just say that you both suck at flirting," Kate said

"Ok how about this, you're under arrest for being too pretty," Peter said to Kate.

"You took that from Dragon Ball," Kate called out

"So," Peter said

"So, you can't do that, that's copyright infringement. At least have some originality," Kate said

"Ok how about this one," Peter said, he then looked at Kate, "I have met plenty of women in my life, human, mutant, inhuman, yet out of all of the women I have met I have never met anyone as beautiful as you."

Immediately Kate grins and feels a blush forming on her face, "Um, uh, that's not bad," she said

"I learned that the best pickup lines are when you are just being honest," Peter said making Kate's blush deepen.

"O-ok, so maybe you are a little better than Anakin," Kate said making Peter chuckle.

"I retransmitted just as you requested master, then we decided to come rescue you," Anakin said

Obi-wan looked up and then at Anakin, "Good job," Obi-Wan said

"Obi-Wan's wit, one of the only good things that came from the Star Wars series," Peter said , he is shushed by Kate.

"Padme's gonna prove why girls rule," Kate said as they watch Padme escape her shackles and climb the post. They then see Obi-Wan and Anakin escape their shackles, and then they see Padme kick the alien creature knocking it out, "That is why she is my favorite Star Wars character," Kate said

"I thought Ahsoka was your favorite Star Wars character," Peter said

"I have two, Ahsoka and Padme," Kate said

They then watch as Yoda is shown in a spaceship with clones behind him. The clones then leave the ship and charge into battle with their fellow clones.

"And the 501st Legion is born, ironic that Anakin would gain the legion that was first used in the beginning of the war," Peter said

"It only makes sense that the Chosen One was to get that legion," Kate said

They then watched Anakin and Padme get married with C3PO and R2D2 as the witnesses.

"And we have the secret marriage, we all know how that is gonna turn out," Peter said

"I think it's sweet," Kate said

"Who gets married after a few days of knowing each other. That is a boat load of trouble brewing right there," Peter said

"They've known each other for years," Kate retorted

"And yet they know so little about each other," Peter said

"Love happens, and sometimes you just have to do what feels right and that is what they did," Kate defended, she feels that she needs to defend Anakin and Padme's marriage. Afterall when she thinks about it she did something similar with Quill. She had only dated him for a few months until she decided to not only move to space with him, but to get engaged with him as well. Yeah, that didn't turn out well, because of his duties as king of Spartax, that had gotten in the way of their relationship. He had neglected her and his duties with the Guardians. So, she became the new Star Lord which made him kick her out of the throne room and end their engagement. They made peace eventually and restarted a relationship without being engaged that time. But in the end, they broke up after Carol's Civil War with Iron Man, they were all grounded for a while. But while he went back out to space with the Guardians, she stayed on Earth to lead the Xavier Outreach and the X-Men. Things between them are good though, they talked the last time they saw each other, and Kate likes to think that they buried that hatchet and can move on as friends. She does wonder what Quill and the Guardians are doing now. It's been such a long time since she's spoken to them.

"Still don't think it's the smartest decision, but hey I'm not him," Peter said shrugging his shoulders.

"No, you're not, I have yet to see you pick anything up with the Force," Kate said

Peter looked at his watch as saw that it was 5:10 pm, "It's five, wanna order something to eat," Peter offered

"Sounds good," Kate said

"Any preferences," Peter said only to get a smile from Kate.

"I think we both know that we're getting pizza for dinner," Kate said

"What do you think of Pizza King," Peter asked

"Let's go Cellini's, they have the deep-dish," Kate said making Peter groan, "Deep-dish is the best pizza there is."

"You are delusional, New York style is the best style. Deep dish is, meh," Peter said

"You did not just meh the deep-dish," Kate said getting a shrug from Peter, "Chicago-style has a thicker crust and it has more room for things like extra sauce. New York-style, eh, its crust is just too thin."

"Too thin," Peter repeated getting a nod from a smiling Kate. "You certainly weren't complaining when we were eating it at Luigi's," Peter said

"That's because we weren't eating New York style pizza. I looked it up on their website, that was Neapolitan pizza that we were eating not New York style so HA," Kate said

"What were you doing on their website," Peter asked

Kate shrugged her shoulders, "Curiosity," she answered, "So I was thinking pepperoni and extra cheese with extra sauce."

"Hang on I did not agree to this," Peter said

"Peter trust me, it is in your best interest to just give me what I want. It will save us both the trouble," Kate said

"Trouble of what," Peter asked

"Trouble of me having to use drastic measures on getting that deep-dish," Kate responded

"Well, looks like you may have to use those drastic measures, because I'm not budging," Peter said

Kate gained a thoughtful look at that, 'Heh, why not,' Kate thought, she then gave Peter a coy smile, "Ok," she said as she got up from the couch and walked up to Peter who raised an eyebrow at her.

"What are you doing," Peter asked as Kate approached him.

Once she stopped in front of Peter, Kate wrapped her arms around his neck, "Getting what I want," Kate said as she leaned herself against Peter. "Please let's get a deep-dish. I would be very grateful if we did." Kate then slid her right hand from the back of Peter's neck down to the front of it, making the hero shiver a little at the gentle touch. Kate felt the shiver and couldn't help but grin. This is gonna be fun. Kate then proceeded to slide her hand down Peter's chest slowing, "I just love deep-dish pizza, I grew up on it."

"Um," Peter said not sure what to do at the moment.

Kate decides to up the ante by pressing her body up against Peter's more, and brought her face closer to Peter's to where they could feel each other's breath, "I would be very grateful if we got the deep-dish, and I would happily repay you," she said with a sweet smile but a seductive voice.

"Wha, I, um," Peter said blushing a little, he's not entirely sure what to say, suddenly he feels like he's back in high school, before the spider bite. A pretty girl coming on to him and he has no idea what to say or do.

"What do you say, a deep-dish," Kate said batting her eyelashes, she has to admit that she is having fun right now. Seeing Peter blush and making him unable to speak, who would have thought, her Kate Pryde, youngest member of the X-Men, and highly underestimated, is able to make The Amazing Spider-Man speechless with just her feminine charm, and she hasn't even brought out the big guns. Oh, with the way he's acting if she brought out the big guns, he just may have a heart attack. Can't have that happen, after all, she's planning on making him hers.

"But I like New York style," Peter said

"And I love Chicago style," Kate said, she then brought her face to where their noses are touching, "What do you say Peter, pleaaasssee," Kate said making the final word longer for extra charm.

"Um, uh, I mean, well," Peter said trying to find what to say, but he is coming up short on what to say, and that smile that Kate is giving him really isn't helping him. She really knows how to turn on the charm when she wants to. Oh god, you'd figure after MJ and Felicia he'd be immune, but something about Kate. It, she's just irresistible and she makes him nervous, it really is like high school. Oh god, he's in trouble.

Deciding that she just needed one last push Kate reaches up and kisses the corner of Peter's mouth like on their first date, "Do this, and I may give you a proper one."

Peter groaned at that, that just isn't fair. Peter sighed, he's screwed, this woman is going to kill him. It's their second date and he knows it, "Fine, we'll get the deep-dish," Peter conceded

"Great, you call, and I'll get the next movie ready," Kate said

"You so played me," Peter complained

Kate couldn't help and smile, "Maybe a little," Kate said, she then wrapped her arms around Peter's neck again and once again kissed the corner of Peter's mouth again much to his surprise, Kate then pulled away and saw the surprise on Peter's face, he really does look cute when he's surprised. Kate then gave Peter a genuine smile, "But that doesn't mean everything I said, wasn't true," Kate said, showing that not everything she did was just her playing him. She really does like Peter and hopes that maybe next time he'll participate. That is for the future though, for now they'll focus on the pizza.

When Peter saw the genuine smile on Kate's face, he couldn't help but smile back, in these couple of days of getting to know her, Peter has learned that the woman before him, may be playful, but she truly is a kind and genuine person, and he certainly hopes to spend more time with her to get to know her more. "I'll call Cellini's, pepperoni, extra cheese, and extra sauce," Peter asked getting a nod from Kate.

"And make sure the pepperoni is," Kate said

"Beef, I know," Peter said smiling

Kate smiled in return; it really is nice to have a guy who is familiar with her traditions. With that Peter called Cellini's to order their food, as he did that Kate went to the TV and ejected the disk. Once she put the disk back in its case, Kate took out episode III and put it in the DVD player. Once she was done with that Peter came back to the couch with a new Spite in his hand and offered it to her, which she accepted with a thanks.

"So, do you want to watch the movie while we wait, or do you want to wait till the pizza gets here," Peter said

"How long till the pizza gets here," Kate asked

"A while, Cellini's really isn't that far from here, a ten-minute walk actually, but they are also pretty busy due to some basketball game taking place," Peter said getting a nod from Kate.

"So, how long," Kate asked

"About an hour," Peter said

"Well, that's not bad, let's start the movie, and keep an eye on the door," Kate said with that she started the movie.

As the movie continued Peter and Kate would glance at the other when they thought that the other wasn't looking, both hoping that the other was having a good time. After another glance they catch each other's eye and can't help but blush at being caught. Clearing his throat Peter spoke, "Really, are all alien planets like this," Peter indicates toward the television.

"Not all, it varies. Some planets are more advanced than Earth, others are more primitive, and the rest are right where Earth is," Kate answered as she pets Gog on the head who in response cuddled up to her.

"He really likes you," Peter said as he observed the scene.

"I like him to, I'll admit that you having a…what is he called," Kate asked

"A Tsiln," Peter said

"You having a Tsiln is pretty strange, but really who am I to judge, I have a dragon that I met in outer space," Kate said

"Ah yes, the famous Lockheed, tell me, does he join you on missions too," Peter asked

"He does sometimes, I would never force him to go on a mission. I have my adventures with him and without him," Kate answered, she then laughed, "Lockheed is definitely a cutie, but this guy, is his own cuteness," Kate said indicating toward Gog.

"Yeah, I'll admit, Gog does know how to charm ya," Peter said as he reached in the cheese puffs bag only to take out one cheese puff, "Heh final cheese puff." Peter then goes to eat it, but Kate snatches it out of his hand.

"Thank you," Kate said as she ate the cheese puff, she then laughed at the look on Peter's face.

"Wh-wha, that was my cheese puff," Peter exclaimed

"Yes, it was, and it was good," Kate said

"But you can't just do that. That's mean," Peter complained

"I just did; besides it was my right to eat that cheese puff," Kate said

"How so," Peter asked

"One, because cheese puffs are my favorite snack, and two, I let you keep that picture of me," Kate said

"But you look so cute in a wetsuit," Peter responded

"Yeah, that wetsuit being skintight has nothing to do with you wanting to keep it," Kate said rolling her eyes.

"Well, that didn't even cross my mind, but now that you mention it," Peter said only to be elbowed again.

"Shut up you jerk," Kate said

"Sheesh, do you hit all of the guys you date or is it me," Peter asked

Kate snorted, "Please I once hit one of my ex's with a ladle, started a food fight," she said

"Well, if we ever go to court due to domestic abuse, we know which of us will be the battered victim," Peter quipped

Kate rolled her eyes at that, "It certainly won't be me," she said

"Of course, it won't be you, ever since I picked you up you've been hitting me," Peter said

"Oh, quit complaining, I doubt you even felt those," Kate said

"It's not the physical pain, it's the emotional pain," Peter replied

Kate couldn't help but grin, "You're such a dork," she said as she reached and took out a barbeque chip, but right when she was about to put it in her mouth it is swiped from her fingers, "HEY," she exclaimed, Kate turned to see Peter with the chip in his hand, "Don't you dare." Peter then ate the entire chip making Kate scowl.

"Payback sucks doesn't it," Peter said

As she glared at Peter, Kate takes out another chip in the bag, but just like last time Peter swipes it making her gasp in shock, "HEY," she said

"You see, I thought that being even was good enough but then I thought, why be even when I could just have one over you," Peter said

"One over me? In your dreams. No one gets one over me, give me that chip," Kate said

"Ah, no," Peter said

"Give it right now," Kate said

"You'll have to take it from me," Peter said smirking challengingly.

Kate returned the smirk, "Ok Mr. Parker, just know that you asked for this," she said, Kate then set Gog down on the ground and pat his head, just then she jumped on Peter trying to take the chip, "Give me that chip."

"WHA, are you seriously doing this," Peter asked as he tried to keep the chip away from Kate.

"Didn't think I would did ya," Kate said as she reached for the chip, but Peter switched it to his other hand making Kate growl which made Peter laugh.

"Gonna have to do better than that," Peter said laughing.

"I'll show you better," Kate said laughing as well. This lasted for quite a while, Kate climbing further on top of Peter trying to get the chip from him, sure she could get another one, but it's the principle of the thing. No one steals food from Kate Pryde, no one. Just as Kate was about to take the chip, Peter flips them over to where she's underneath him.

"What are you gonna do now, miss pirate fetish," Peter said as he hovered over Kate.

Kate smirked in response, "I'll show you," she said, just then Kate pushes up and phases through Peter to where she is now behind him much to his surprise.

"Wait, wha," But that is all Peter could say, before Kate pushed Peter further into the couch, just as Peter turned toward Kate, she pounces on Peter and landed on his chest. Kate then snatches the chip from Peter's hand and places it between her lips. Kate then winks at Peter and eats the chip.

"Don't mess with the Red Queen," Kate said as her face hovered over Peter's.

"You got lucky," Peter said

"It's not luck, it's skill," Kate said

It was then that the two realized the position that they were in, with Kate lying on top of Peter. With that realization the atmosphere suddenly gets heavier between the two. Both of their hearts suddenly start to beat faster. Without even thinking, Kate cups Peter's face with her hands. He really did look handsome, and she really had been wanting to kiss him since their first date. Giving him that teasing kiss was funny, but she really wishes that she had just kissed him and found another type of revenge.

In response Peter wraps his arms around Kate's waist. She really did look beautiful with her hazel eyes, lush brown hair, her soft and smooth skin, not to mention her kindness, playfulness, and how smart she is. He still has to show her his web shooters. Yeah, Kate Pryde truly is quite the woman, and he would like nothing more than to kiss her.

Doing what she normally does, Kate throws caution in the wind and follows her feelings. With that Kate leans down and closes the gap between her and Peter's lips kissing him, a kiss in which he returned, both closing their eyes. As they kissed one another it was as if fireworks were going off. Nothing mattered to either of them at the moment, for at this moment the only thing that mattered was each other. As the kiss continued it started to get more heated, with that Kate presses her body firmly on top of Peter's and moves her hands to his hair and pulls it, while Peter runs his right hand from Kate's waist and up her spine making her shiver in pleasure. Peter decides to be a bit more bold and asks Kate for entrance into her mouth. Just as she was about to grant it, Kate thought of something. Something important, something that needs to be done. After that thought Kate breaks the kiss, "Wait," she said

Thinking that he may have crossed a line Peter decides to apologize, "Um sorry about that. I guess that is going too fast, I don't normally," Peter said but was cut off when Kate placed her finger on his lips. He then looked to see that Kate was smiling at him.

"Ok, first off, don't apologize for something that I initiated. It's cute and sweet, but it can be annoying. And secondly, this had nothing to do with why I stopped," Kate said

"Then, why did you stop," Peter asked curiously

Kate took a deep breath as she prepared to explain, "Listen, this is our second date, and already I know that I like you. I like you a lot, and I'm pretty sure you like me too right," she asked

"Right, I really do like you," Peter said honestly seeing that this is not a moment for jokes.

Kate smiled at that, "I really like you, and if you're up for it I'd really like to start a relationship," Kate said

Peter reached up and brushed a strand of hair from Kate's face, he then smiled at her, "I'd like that," Peter said

Kate smiled again, she then took another breath, "That being said, there is something about me that you need to know. It's a big part of me, and is something that I will not try to change about myself," she said

"Ok, what's that," Peter asked

Kate looked Peter in the eyes, "I am proud of what I am, of who I am. My name is Kate Pryde, I'm an X-Man, an originator of Excalibur, a Guardian of the Galaxy, a Marauder, I am part of the Quiet Council, I am Spite, Ariel, Star Lord, Star-Lady, Shadowcat, the Red Queen, but most of all I am a Jewish woman who is also a mutant. I am not ashamed of these things, and I refused to be ashamed of them," Kate said

"I can respect that," Peter said, he does respect it, there is nothing better to him than a woman who stands by who she is, no matter what anyone says.

"But there is also something else you need to know, another important aspect of myself. Something that I have known about for a long time, yet I have never openly admitted it, not until recently," Kate said

"Ok, what is it," Peter said

"Remember what I said, this is a part of me that I will not be ashamed of, and if we do, do this, then you need to accept that it is part of me, and I will not change it. If you can't do that, then I'll walk out that door right now," Kate said indicating to the door.

"Kate, whatever it is, I'm sure I'll be ok with it, as far as I've seen there is nothing about you that I haven't liked so far," Peter said

"Ok," Kate said, she then took a deep breath and once again looked at Peter, "I'm bisexual."

"What," Peter asked surprised, he certainly didn't expect that.

"I'm bisexual, I'm attracted to both men and women," Kate said

"Oh…well ok," Peter said

"Ok? What do you mean by ok," Kate asked

"Just ok," Peter said

"Is that a good ok, or a bad ok," Kate asked

"Are there bad oks," Peter asked jokingly

"I'm serious," Kate said seriously

"What do you want me to say," Peter asked

"Is this ok with you, me being bisexual," Kate asked

"Is that all? Well yeah, I'm ok with it," Peter said

"Really," Kate asked suspiciously

"What did you expect? For me to freak out and ostracize you or something," Peter asked

"Well, I don't know? It's not like I know your views on homosexuals and such," Kate said

"Kate, Bobby is one of my best friends, and I'm very much aware that he's gay. Heck, he's been telling me all about on what has been going on between him and this Christian guy. I really have no problem with homosexuals or bisexuals. I mean really the only problem I can find is the fact that now I not only do I have to keep men from stealing you away, but now women too," Peter said

Kate couldn't help but smile at the joke and even giggled a little, looking into his eyes, Kate can see that Peter really doesn't have a problem with her being bisexual and with that knowledge it feels like a huge weight has just been lifted off her shoulders. "Good, I'm glad," Kate said

"You're an amazing person Kitty and anyone who would ostracize just for your sexuality, well they're obviously just a bunch of assholes," Peter said

Kate couldn't help but smile at what he said, but then what he said occurred to her, "Did…you just call me Kitty," she asked

Peter realized that he did call her Kitty, "Sorry Kate, I didn't mean to. I'll be more careful," Peter said

Kate frowned but not because Peter had called her Kitty, but because he called her Kate. For the longest time she had been trying to get everyone to call her Kate, because she felt that with the name change then maybe everyone would take her more seriously. Every time someone called her Kitty it would annoy her, and she would correct them. Really the only person who still calls her Kitty is her mother, and that's because she's her mom, of course she'd let her call her that. But now hearing Peter call her Kitty, she liked it, it sounded nice, and it makes her feel good. But now that he's calling her Kate, it somehow feels so impersonal, like everything they have done so far didn't matter and they are nothing but acquaintances. But they're not just acquaintances, not anymore. Besides, if anything, after accepting her for who she is, Peter deserves to call her Kitty.

Kate smiled and then leaned in closer to Peter to where their lips are an inch apart from each other, "Call me Kitty," she said, before Peter could say anything else, Kitty kisses him again. With that he returned the kiss.

Peter then broke the kiss, "Wait, just one thing," he said

"What," Kitty said

"Star-Lady? Seriously," Peter asked

"SHUT UP YOU JERK," Kitty said taking a pillow and hitting Peter across the head with it making him laugh.

Eventually the pizza arrived, after that they sat down on the couch and ate the pizza while watching the rest of Star Wars all the while Kitty was now leaning herself on Peter tucked in his arm. As the movie continued to play, they took a glance at each other and caught the other's eye, except instead of blushing they just smiled. They then leaned toward one another and shared a heartfelt kiss.
