chapter 1

Luffy after the events on egghead called all his allies and and decided to throw a party for getting his new base of operations, saving his grandpa, and they were going to head for Laugh Tale. But little did they know Akainu and the Marines were listening in to their conversation.

The fleet admiral called in all the top brass to discuss this threat to the world government's power.

"We can't let this go forward. Absolute justice will prevail," Akainu screeched.

Kizaru looked at him with his lazy expression and said, "What do you want to do about it. Having another Roger will be a disaster."

Then the Marines made plans and started to move.

Back with the straw hats

The crew was waiting for everyone to arrive. The grand fleet. Shanks and his crew. Marco agreed to come. They even got Rayleigh, Shakky and Hancock to attend as well. Dragon, Sabo, and Ivankov got invited and accepted as well. The last invitation that was sent out was Katakuri who surprisingly accepted. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Ussop, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, Jimbei, Yamato, and princess Vivi were excitedly looking forward to seeing everyone and having their captain ascend to the throne of the pirate king and retrieve the one piece. Law and his crew also joined in. Law felt he owed a debt for saving him and the rest of his crew.

One by one everyone started showing up. First Bartolomeo, second was Cavandish and his crew, third place was a tie between Leo and Sai. Orlumbus was next. Then Hajrudin followed by Ideo and lastly Bellemy with his crew that he reformed with 100 members bringing the grand total to 5740.

After the grand fleets arrival everyone else started to pour in. With the first being Shanks and the red haired pirates. who Marco tagged along with. Rayleigh and Shakkey arrived with the Kuja pirates in full force. The revolutionaries lead by dragon was next. Finally Katakuri was the last one to make it to the festivities.

Before this happened Coby accidentally made it to egghead island.

Flashback

"Where am I?" He asked Helmeppo.

"No idea," He responded.

The straw hats sensed the Marines. "Who is that?" They all thought because they weren't expecting any visitors.

Luffy spoke up, "Let's go see who it is."

As soon as they got to the shore they saw the ship with the marine insignia on it and got ready for battle.

"Why the hell are they here?" said zoro.

"I don't know. Go ask them moss head," Sanji sneered.

"I'll cut you love cook," Zoro replied.

They glared at each other and started going towards each other about to fight when Nami came up behind and hit both of them on the head and with shark teeth she yelled, "Knock it off you two idiots we don't have time for this."

"Yes Nami-swan," Sanji said doing his noodle dance. Zoro just grumbled under his breath "stupid witch".

Sanji heard this and before he could say anything Luffy started running towards the boat passing between both of them and yelled, "They are mine."

Luffy kept running until he noticed a familiar pink mop of hair.

"Coby," Luffy said with a confused demeanor.

Coby looked up with red puffy eyes and tears in them and yelled, "Luffy."

The crew seeing this ran over to the two young men all in shock at the discovery.

"What's wrong?" asked Luffy. He trusted Coby enough to know he wouldn't arrest him.

Coby looked at Luffy and his crew and with some sobs he said, "It's your grandpa, Garp."

Luffy shadowed his eyes and asked in a very serious tone, "What happened?"

"He was in a fight on Blackbeard's island trying to get me back," Coby said as he started to cry, "It's my fault if I wasn't caught this never would have happened."

Zoro came to his other side and put his hand on Coby and Helmeppo's shoulder and said, "Take a deep breath and explain what happened."

Helmeppo started being the calmer and more collected of the two young Marines.

"It was awful. It started with the abolishment of the seven warlords and Coby was part of the fleet going for Hancock."

Luffy looked up with a unreadable expression but his crew understood the meaning and tried to keep their captain calm.

"Please continue," Zoro and Sanji said then glared at each other.

Coby calmed down a little bit and was able to start talking. "We didn't get very far as soon as we got on the island he showed up. Blackbeard and some of his crew. He attacked the Island and tried to get her and would have succeeded but Rayleigh stopped him and drove him away."

Luffy had a look of relief go across his face. "Please continue," He said.

"On Blackbeard's retreat, he managed to grab me and take me prisoner. Garp had other ideas in his mind. He heard what happened and mounted a rescue and came to Blackbeard's island. Blackbeard was gone but Aokiji was there. They fought and he got stabbed with ice and was taken prisoner."

There was a huge wave of conqueror's haki. It even brought Zoro to his knees and Helmeppo was knocked unconscious.

"Guys, get the denden mushi. Got some calls to make." Luffy said. Usopp ran right away and grabbed the nearest one. Marco, Rayleigh, Shanks and Sabo. they all agreed what must be done.

After two days, everyone arrived. They made a plan to go get Garp. Marco came with some of the remnants of the whitebeard pirates and, Rayleigh brought Shakkey and Hancock, and Shanks brought the Red Force with his main crew. They met in the middle of the island in one of Vegapunk's main rooms.

They set sell and made it to Hachinosu. They were lucky 'cause most of Blackbeard's forces were off the island, trying to get Blackbeard as a king. They made it to the prison area and saw not only Garp but Law's crew.

"Penguin!" Chopper said.

"Yes! Hello! Please help us!" The guy said.

The allied forces decided to save them. On the way out Nami spotted Moria, as soon as she saw him she gave a disgusted look and said, "Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, we have company."

They looked over and gave the same look that Nami gave to him. Moria noticed them and said, "I'm not going to try to fight. I've lost everything."

"what's your plan?" Luffy asked.

"I have no idea." Moria replied.

"Well, we are going to sink this island. So if you want to come with us." Nami hit him in the back of the head and said, "Hell no!"

"It's fine," He replied with a bump on his head. "If he acts up I'll kick his ass. even ussop can take him on."

"Of course! I am the brave warrior of the sea! H-Hey wait a minute" He said as he started to shake.

"It will be fine I want to destroy this place. They went too far. Let's go!" Luffy said where everyone can hear him.

All gathered and as soon as they got back to their ships Luffy ordered the annihilation of the island.

They were heading back to Egghead and one of the lookouts spotted a small boat and spotted a polar bear with a tall and skinny man.

The lookout man said, "Guys! I see a polar bear and a guy." The straw hats look over and Luffy says, "Torao! Bepo!"

Being on the brink of starving they slowly lift their heads.

"Chopper! Sanji! Get over there and help. It's Torao and Bepo."

Penguin, Sachi and the rest of the Heart pirates lifted their heads up and ran to the side of the ship and yelled, "Captain we are here!"

Law and Bepo looked up and started crying saying, "Guys you are alive I thought I lost you."

As soon as those two were aboard the Sunny, the previously saved Heart pirates ran to their captain and first mate nearly tackling them to the ground.

Chopper yelled, "A doctor we need a doctor."

Robin with a pleasant smile said, "That's you!" She gave him a hug.

"Oh yeah!" Chopper said.

After an in depth look over chopper came to the conclusion that Law and Bepo just needed food and rest. Sanji was happy to help to get them back to full health.

After Law ate he said, "Straw hat come here." He pulled him to the side. "I have something to say."

Luffy looked at him and gave him his full attention and said, "What is it Torao?"

"I have to thank you for saving my crew," Law said with a bow.

"Stop that. We are friends. Right?!" Luffy said with his carefree tone.

"Yes but I owe you an unpayable debt and I will make it up to you." Luffy put a serious face on and said no and walked away.

They broke apart and the Sunny went back to Egghead. They decided to go after the One Piece now that they had managed to get the last poneglyph rubbing before they sunk the Pirate island.

"Robin," Luffy called out.

"Yes captain," She replied.

"Do you have the information to go and get the One Piece?" Luffy asked.

"Yes, when are we going asked Robin? Let's call some friends and go get it. I doubt the Marines are going to make it easy."

End of flashback

As soon as everyone got to the island Luffy yelled out, "Hi everyone!" He got the crowds attention.

"Everyone follow me," Luffy said and moved to the middle of the island so he can talk to everyone. "I just wanted to let you all know if you were invited here then I consider you guys my family. Just because I'm going to be the pirate king doesn't mean I want to rule over you. I want everyone to be free."

Zoro while grabbing his cup of sake said, "Grab your cups in front of you and raise them for this toast." All present there did so.

He then said out loud with a proud voice, "To Luffy, the next pirate king and to our new formed family!" The crowd repeated this with a joyous energy. They became a family from here on.

Luffy proudly said, "Let's start this party!" The crowd went wild.

"I do want my crew, Shanks, Law, Hancock and Grand fleet commanders here along with Dragon, Sabo, Rayleigh Marco, Ivankov and Katakuri to join. I have an idea I want to share with you all and that sounds really fun." They nodded and made their way to Luffy and he led them to a spot where they could talk in private.

"So what's this big idea that you have," asked Shanks.

"Well let's make a kingdom," Everyone's mouth dropped.

"What do you mean?" Usopp and Nami said fearfully.

"Well as soon as we claim the one piece the government is going to come after us and try to destroy us and anyone that has connections to us, isn't that right Shanks?" Luffy asked.

"Yeah it is. After Roger got executed the World Government did terrible things," Shanks said.

"And has done terrible things," Dragon added in.

They pondered for a few moments.

"That's true. Who would be in charge?" Ideo asked.

"La la Luffy-senpai! Of course!" Bartolomeo responded.

Luffy shook his head and said, "No I don't want to rule. I want to be free."

"I have an idea," Shanks said. They all turned their attention towards him. "Luffy, do you trust everyone in this room?"

"Yes I do," He responded.

"Well let's the people in this room be the leaders. We will keep it free but countries need laws." Everyone nodded there head in agreement.

"Where do you want this kingdom to be?" Leo asked.

Luffy looked at Franky and said, "How is that invention that you and Vegapunk are working on going?"

"It's going superrrr! It should be done tomorrow," Franky replied.

Luffy with his big smile said, "Well we will create our own place."

"Whaaaaaaaat?!" Everyone except the straw hat pirates shouted.

Franky began by saying, "We are building a machine to move islands and if we connect a bunch of islands together we can have our own continent."

Leo along with several people had stars in their eyes with this revelation.

"What islands are we going to have?" Orlumbus asked.

"I'll figure that out after I get the One Piece. Now let's go party. Let's goooo!" Shouted Luffy with his usual excitement.

After the party Luffy spoke up gathering everyone's attention. "Hey guys!" He shouted. Everyone went silent and put their full attention on said straw hat wearing man.

With a big rubbery grin Luffy announced, "It is time. I'm going to be king of the pirates."

Zoro came up beside him and said, "Is everyone ready?"

The crowd went wild and started cheering.

Luffy yelled out, "Yosh! Let's go everyone! Get to your ships and we're off."

Everyone got to their ships. The thousand sunny was the first ship to set sail. The rest of the massive fleet formed up behind them. Any onlookers that saw thought it was a magnificent sight to behold. The trip to the last island was smooth though there was no problem so far, everyone was on their guard just in case anything happened.

"We're finally doing it," Luffy said to his main crew while bouncing up and down. The crew with Yamato and the heart pirates had a big understanding smile on their face.

Vivi spoke up, "Do you think that you will be able to make this world a better place?"

Luffy looked at her and tilted his head to the side. "I'm not a hero, I just want everyone to be free, but I'm not sharing my meat."

The crew just sighed with expecting something like this to come out of their captains mouth. Vivi gave him a big smile and said, "That works for me."

With that Luffy nodded and they finished making their way to the island.

"We made it!" Luffy shouted as everyone began to disembark. Suddenly there was multiple explosions and they looked back and half the joined forces was wiped out including the sunny and the Red Force.

"Sunny!" The crew yelled in disbelief.

"It can't be!" Franky, Usopp and Luffy said as tears began to fill their eyes.

"What happened?!" He shouted.

A random pirate in the alliance took a closer look and yelled, "It's underwater explosives. It's a trap."

Bartolomeo yelled, "Hey you guys go! We will stay out and fight."

Zoro and Sanji grabbed Luffy on both sides and started running. They saw a big door and opened it up. Dragon, Sabo and Garp followed behind then. There was the biggest explosion that anyone has ever heard then there was silence. The group of six used their observation Haki and felt no life signs. Luffy tried to turn around and go back but they turned him around and dragged him through the door kicking and screaming.

It went quite and all of a sudden they felt a huge presence and heard a laugh. Garp recognized it instantly and so how that's impossible.

"What?" Everyone said. "Who is it?" Roger appeared.

"Wait! That's Roger!" Everyone else said in unison.

"How?! You are dead!" said Garp. "I saw it."

"So did I," Dragon added.

"Well I'm just here in spirit. This island has powers that's all I know." They looked at each other and nodded in affirmation.

"So," Roger said. "I have seen everything that has gone on in the world since I died. Do you want a chance to go back to the past and fix everything or do you want to claim the one piece now?"

With tears in his eyes Luffy said yes immediately. "Can you also give the people that I consider family, their powers and memories and give me the power to give others their memories."

Roger replied, "It will be difficult but it's possible."

With a crack and bright light and Luffy woke up right before shanks came to the for the first time.
