Chapter 6: Double Date

I translated this story from Spanish to English
Early in the morning, Lincoln started to wake up to a new day, the day he was going to have a double date with Lori, Bobby, and Ronnie-Anne, but he wasn't sure about one thing: how to deal with Lori today after what happened yesterday. In the afternoon, something told him that he had to apologize as soon as possible, or it would only get worse.
Determined to apologize, he goes to the older girls room, where, luckily, Lori is on her own, already dressed.
"Hi Lori," Lincoln says, being the first to speak.
"Hi Lincoln, what's up?" She could hardly speak to her brother.
"I came to apologize for yesterday; I took advantage of the situation and acted like a jerk."
Lori was silent for a few seconds that seemed like an eternity to Lincoln, at which point she turned around and looked just like her usual Lori.
"Forget it, silly; as you said, between siblings it doesn't count, right?"
"Ahahah,well... I'm glad you're not mad at me... So, are we okay?"
"Of course, hurry up now; we have to go to school, and don't forget our date."
"Yeah, I'm coming," said the white-haired man hurriedly, leaving Lori, who started to blush again.
After breakfast, they entered Vanzela for school. Lincoln again sat between Leni and Luan, and the second-eldest of the family began to speak to him.
"Hi Linky, I heard you're going to have a date today." Hearing this, the sisters, except for Lucy, Lisa, and Lori, couldn't help but let out a sky-high shriek as they approached Lincoln. For a moment, the white-haired man felt content to be surrounded by the girls.
"He's just taking me on a double date with Bobby and Ronnie-Anne; don't bother him," Lori said in a tone she didn't like how her brother was being harassed [the jealousy started ].
"Come on, Lori, don't be a party pooper," Lola yells at her from behind.
"Yeah, we just want to know about Lincoln's new girlfriend," says Lana, who joins her twin sister.
"Well, technically, she's not my girlfriend... yet." Lincoln catches everyone's attention again.
"Are you going to ask her today?"
"When are you going to invite her home, Lincoln?"
"I want to meet her, too."
Lincoln did his best to answer his sister's questions and avoided them as best he could.
It didn't take long to get to the school; Lincoln was the first to get off. "I'll go ahead, girls; I'll see you later."
"Ahhg! He got away," Lola complained, going down with the younger sisters.
Lori watched her brother disappear among the other children.
Luna sat in the passenger seat. "What's wrong, sis? Let's go; we'll be late."
"Ah! I'm sorry," Lori replied as she put the truck into gear again, to which the other sisters approached from behind as well.
"Okay, Lori, talk; what's wrong with you? You've been in the clouds since we left the house."
They all nodded in agreement with Luna, and Lori sighed after being exposed by her sisters.
"Okay, I'll tell you, but promise me you'll keep the secret." This made the others look at each other, increasing their curiosity.
"Of course you can count on us, dear sister," said Luna, trying to calm her self-conscious sister.
"Well, first, tell me one thing. Have any of you ever kissed someone?"
They all remained speechless, not knowing what to do or say.
"Well, if only kisses on the lips count, then I don't!" Lynn broke the silence with an expression of disgust at the thought of the word "kiss."
"There's a boy I like, but I haven't proposed to him yet," Luan said, blushing at the subject.
"Guys, I also like someone, but I haven't declared myself either," Luna admitted, blushing too.
"And what about you, Leni?" Lori asked her sister, who was the only one left who didn't admit anything.
"Me? Well, I kissed someone."
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!!" The others yelled in unison.
I can't believe it; Leni beat me. That's what every girl thought in their heads.
"So what's with this question, Lori?" They were all curious, and they didn't hold back anymore.
"Well, it turns out I was French-kissed the other day."
They all fell silent, not understanding. "French style?"
"With a tongue," Lori said, almost whispering, trying her best not to get distracted while driving.
"Eeeeh !!!" They all yelled again at the same time.
"Well, how can I say that? I congratulate you, sister; it means that you and Bobby are maturing in your relationship, and there is nothing to be ashamed of," Luna told her, praising the courage her older sister had in acknowledging her achievement.
"Well, I want you to listen to me carefully, and I don't want this to come up between us. Do you understand?" It suddenly changed into an extremely serious, almost frightening tone.
They all nodded at her in fear.
"Well, the person I had that kiss with...wasn't Bobby."

There was silence in the group; the only thing that could be heard was the engine of the truck.
"Eehhhhhh"
"But Lori, what have you done? What will happen to Bobby? And who did you have that kind of kiss with?"
"It's only meant to be a practice for when the real occasion comes up. I'm sorry I can't tell you who it was; I promised after all."
"I understand; it has to be someone you trust in order for you to agree, right?"
Lori just answered with a nod.
"Well, you told us it was only for practice, right?"
"Well, yeah, but... how do I say it?… I think I enjoyed it a bit."
They were all silent again.
"There! Sis, what trouble did you get yourself into? Wait, so what are you going to do about today's date?" Luna asked before noticing the obvious confusion in the feelings her older sister felt.
Lori was thoughtful for a few seconds.
"It's such an important date for me; I love Bobby, and of course I'm going to stick with him till the end. This will be the best date we've ever had, and it will end well, won't it? Lincoln will be there, so he will support me too."
"Don't worry, sis; we know everything will be fine, and you have our full support too."
"Thank you, girls; I don't know what I would do without you."
They tried to get as much of a group hug as possible because Lori was behind the wheel as they continued on their way to school.
Lincoln kept entering the class thinking about what happened yesterday with Lori, and he knew he had to focus on Ronnie-Anne, and he was supposed to support her on the date with her affair with Bobby, and it would be hard to see his beloved sister in someone else's arms, but he had to put up with it like a man.
"Lincoln, I'm talking to you." The white-haired man suddenly snaps out of his thoughts to see that Teacher Mrs. Johnson is talking to him.
"Sorry, I was distracted."
"I could tell; read page twelve out loud."
'Dang it, do classes here last as long as a regular class? I think so.' That was what the boy thought; the classes themselves weren't challenging for someone older like him, but being able to see Mrs. Johnson softened the bad time a bit.
On the way to the dining room with Clyde after finishing class, his friend asks him, "Are you all right, bro? You've been distracted all morning."
"Maybe I didn't sleep well last night; that's it; don't worry, I'm fine." 'No way should I mention the double date; I don't want him to ruin it like it did in the episode.'
"Hey Lame-o"
A few meters before entering the dining room, someone called Lincoln from behind, and when he turned around to see who it was, it was none other than Ronnie-Anne.
"Ronnie-Anne? What do you want from me?" Lincoln said he acted like he didn't know anything.
"I want to talk to you... alone" The girl looked at the spectacled boy with a bad face, and he immediately received the message.
"I'll go ahead, bro; good luck." Lincoln smiled and nodded.
Once Clyde entered the dining room, Ronnie-Anne was furious.
"Lame-o, what the hell happened yesterday?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't play stupid; what's this about having a double date with your sister and my brother, Lame-o?"
"Oh, as I heard those two put us down and drag us with their awfulness,"
More annoyed by Lincoln's vocabulary than his explanation, Ronnie-Anne was speechless for a few seconds. "And you just agreed? You should have said you didn't want to go." The girl seemed about to explode her fists at the boy.
"Calm down; if you're not going to do it for me, at least do it for them, right?"
"It's already annoying enough to hear him talking on the phone with your sister; now having them flirt in front of me would be worse."
"I totally agree with you. I'll tell you something: if you hold up well, I'll invite you to the arcades, and we'll play as much as you want."
"Don't bribe me, silly. Why do you want to go this far? Is the relationship between our siblings so important to you?"
"Well, I also wanted to get closer to you, more or less, you know?" The white-haired man confesses.
"Hey?" This last part caught Ronnie-Anne off guard, making her blush.
"I always thought maybe we have things in common like video games; maybe one day we'll get together and do things together, you know."
"Are you asking me out on a date, Lame-o?" The girl argued somewhat angrily.
"If you don't want it to be a date, it's a meeting between friends; what do you say?"
"You're an enigma, you know? It's fine; I'll go," said Ronnie-Anne as she made her way back.
"Ah! Wait!" Lincoln yelled at the girl.
"Now what do you want, Lame-o?"
"Could you give me your phone number?"
"My phone number? What do you want it for?" The freckled girl said as she was trying to hide her blush at this request.
"To keep in touch, and if you want, we can also chat from time to time," the white-haired man explained.
"Okay, but don't call me; do you understand?" The boy nodded, and they proceeded to exchange their numbers.
"The first number I exchanged here at school and it had to be you."
Ignoring the comment, Lincoln said, "Okay, see you later."
Whatever." The girl disappears into the halls of the school.
It was the end-of-terms bell at the school, and Lincoln was leaving with Clyde when he could see a Vanzilla with Lori and his sisters inside waiting for him.
"Well, Clyde, it looks like they came for me today. See you tomorrow."
"I understand. See you tomorrow, bro. Say hello to Lori."
"Okay, see you later."
Running to the van, he realizes Lori is pointing to the passenger seat, which is not occupied. Lori speeds up, and they leave.
"We'll go home to get ready and leave right away."
Lincoln replied to his sister, "I understand; let's go."
Leni came up behind him and said something to the white-haired man.
"Linky, you have to get dressed for your date."
"Yeah, I found something somewhere in my room. Why?"
"I thought we could go shopping tomorrow, so I'll find something for you next time you have another date with your girlfriend."
Lori listened intently to everything her siblings talked about in silence as she drove.
"Okay, I'd like to; I could use more clothes other than the orange shirts."
"We'll have fun; I'll invite some friends too."
"The more, the Merrier."
Back home, the first thing Lori and Lincoln did was get ready for the date. Ready to go, the white-haired man took one last look at Lori; apparently the blonde had managed to clean up the skirt that was dirty yesterday.
"Don't look at me, silly."
"I was just thinking that it seems that the date is just between the two of us."
Such words made Lori blush slightly, and she replied, shaking her head.
"Hurry up, you idiot, we'll be late," to which she immediately comes down to the front door, closely followed by the others in the house saying goodbye and wishing them luck, then they disappear into Vanzela.
"I'm looking forward to our date, Linky," Leni muttered, quietly looking out the window as Luna, Lynn, and Luan were at the door watching them leave.
"Who kissed Lori?" Lynn asked.
Luan and Luna exchanged glances, and the rock girl said, "I would also like to know, sis; I don't know who she trusts enough to be able to do something like that."
Luan, for her part, said, "Remember, we can't talk about it, or you already know what's going to happen." A chill ran down the backs of the three of them at what the oldest sister could be capable of.
"Curiosity is literally killing us." The Joker finished laughing, much to the dismay of her sisters, who entered the house again and left her alone. When she finished, she changed her face to a more serious one as she looked at the horizon, where she last saw Vanilla.
"What are you getting yourself into, Lincoln? That's not funny anymore."
The noise inside the famous restaurant could be heard from the outside; at the door, Ronnie-Anne and her brother were waiting for their partners.
"I don't want you to be rude to Lincoln or Lori; this date is just so we can all get close. I know Lincoln, and I know you will love him once you meet him."
"Ah! I know, you told me so many times, and I told you I already knew him at school," the little girl replied to her older brother. "Besides, I am already here, right? This should be more than enough for you."
Bobby was about to answer his sister, but the arrival of his girlfriend changed his mood.
"Hey Bobo-Bear" was poorly received by Lori.
"Hi, how beautiful you look, my love."
"Th-Thank you, Bobo-Bear," Lori quickly replied as she turned to her brother.
"We were already wondering when you would arrive, Lame-o."
"Yeah, I'm sorry we just left the house; hi Bobby."
"How's it going, Lincoln? Well, how about we go inside?"
Once inside the enclosure, the couple sat down at a table. Lincoln tried to help Ronnie-Anne into a chair, only to see later how she sat in another chair. Of course, he knew this result, so he didn't give it much importance. After carrying out their orders, the couple continued to have one of their vulgar conversations as usual, and then the two younger siblings started to speak as well.
"Well, here we go bored, just like you wanted Lame-o. I hope you're happy."
"Hey, it's not so bad; getting out of the routine is good...sometimes"
"Don't compare your routine to mine; you definitely spend every day at home relaxing."
"Of course not; there are days when I don't even rest, and this is what happens in a family with many sisters; they consume all your time."
"Well, I have a hard time too, you know? At home, even though it's just me and my brother, I practically have to play mom because she's out almost all day."
"It seems stressful; as I told you yesterday, we should get together one of these days to clear our heads."
"And there you go again trying to flirt with me, you know what? I'll only accompany you until you stop bothering me."
"I can live with that."
In turn, Bobby was talking to Lori.
"Wow, I should ask Lincoln how he managed to convince my little sister so quickly; he would have spared me all the work it took to persuade her to come."
Lori didn't answer; she seemed lost in thought.
"baby?"
"Ah? Yeah, what were you telling me?"
"Lincoln is quite convincing."
"Ah, yeah, at home we have sisters of all kinds, and sometimes he plays a better older sibling than me," said Lori between forced laughs.
"Are you okay, baby? I felt a bit weird about you."
"Huh? Me? Of course not. I'm fine. I'm a little tired. Forgive me."
"Don't worry; you'll love the dish I ordered."
Lincoln saw that everything was going well on his sister's part, so it was better not to get involved; on double dates, you should be aware of your partner after all, but something bothered the white-haired guy; in the same show episode, the restaurant scene ended with him kissing Ronnie-Anne, but in this case there was no previous quarrel. How do you convince a girl to kiss you? Was it necessary for the date to end with a kiss? Will their relationship be better or worse depending on how I end up here? Questions did not stop spinning in the boy's head.
His thoughts disappeared when he heard, "Hey, Lame-o, are you there? I'm talking to you; they already brought the food."
"Huh?"
"What's wrong with you? You're more distraught than usual."
"Sorry, I was daydreaming." Freckles quickly apologized to himself.
"Oh yeah? Maybe because of your stupidity," the girl began to sneer as she took her drink.
Actually, it was about this date; deep down, I offer it could end with you kissing me."
Shocked, Ronnie-Anne dropped her drink, turned it over on the table, and reached to wet her shorts a bit.
"But what nonsense are you saying, Lame-o? I'd rather lick the toilet in this restaurant than kiss you." Bobby realized what had happened to his sister and told her.
"Little sis, look how you left your clothes off; let's go to the bathroom so you can clean yourself."
"Don't worry, brother-in-law, I'll go with her; you guys stay here and enjoy the food."
This is what Lincoln said before standing up and taking Ronnie-Anne with him, much to her annoyance, as he could hear the girl claiming she could go on her own.
"This is strange; he has never called me a brother-in-law before." This was what Bobby thought at that moment.
In the bathroom, Ronnie-Anne was spilling water where the drink fell on her while she was moaning about what the white-haired man had said to her earlier.
"Calm down; I was just joking; you don't have to be like this."
"Shut up, you idiot; now because of you, I'm so sticky."
"Hey, you splashed yourself with a drink."
"Because of the things you said and still, I don't think I'll ever kiss you."
"Well, it doesn't have to be today," the freckled man chuckled.
"Don't you hear what I'm saying, Lame-o?"
The girl came out of the bathroom, ready to go back.
"Sure, I know wh…"
Suddenly Lincoln saw some familiar figures in the distance; they were his classmates who had walked into the restaurant. He knew this would happen in the episode, but with Lori and Ronnie-Anne in his head, he completely forgot.
Picking up his date, he hopped into a corner out of sight of his comrades to hide.
"Lame-o, you idiot, what are you doing?" The girl was troubled by the boy's sudden action.
"Shhhhhh..." Lincoln whispered. "Look who sat a few feet away from our table."
The girl did not understand what the freckled man was referring to until she saw the boys at the table and recognized several of them as friends of Lincoln.
"It can't be like that; if they see me with you, I'll be the laughing stock of the whole school. We have to get out of here no matter what."
"Calm down; they'll probably be here for a while. They're just a bunch of brats, and they'll probably just have enough bottled juice or something."
"Calm down? We're now stuck here because you decided to drag me down with your shit."
Lincoln was at a loss over the last thing the girl had shot.
"Hey, I didn't know you used bad words too."
"What? You said that first," said the girl, starting to blush at the silence that formed as Lincoln watched the group of children's movements.
"Hey Lame-o"
"And now what?"
[Picture]
"C-could you spread out a little bit? You've got me really tight here."
"You being that close doesn't really bother me," Lincoln quipped, until Ronnie-Anne became uncomfortable again and the girl could notice and counterattack.
"Oh yeah? How about I yell that you do perverted things to me, huh? Your friends will see us, right? What would Lori think of all this?" The evil brunette smiled.
At that moment, Lincoln looked away from the group and stared into Ronnie-Anne's eyes, which made the girl tense. She turned her head in another direction, but Lincoln stopped her by grabbing her cheek. The freckled girl tried to say her next words.
"I was just... I was kidding, Lame-o…"
"Oh yeah? It sounds to me like you wanted that to happen."
"I'll break your face if you do."
"I guess I'll take a chance." At that moment, Lincoln began to bring his lips closer to the girl.
"Whoa…" Whatever Ronnie-Anne tried to say, it was cut short by the sudden sensation she began to feel in her mouth—she was making out with Lincoln.
