Chapter:22 Time to Riot

Team RABG and the two members of the Omori Family are now riding the Humvee across the sand dunes of Vacuo, just near enough from border.

While Surge and Sabrina sits in front, Red and Yellow were sleeping on the back while Blue and Green are sitting on top of the vehicle.

"... And that's everything of their history," Blue said as Green look at him in shock.

"Okay wow. Man, you could've told me the rest when we were eating our lunch. I'm really surprised that he was caught by Sabrina while you watched. Then you tell me that he actually fought back," She said as Blue gave her a slight look of disgust.

"Okay first off, I am not going to tell you everything with food still in my mouth. Second, I was trying to find a way to get him free but the building was huge when I was still young. Lastly, yeah he did. He gave her a good beating and tied her up so we could escape."

"But it only triggers Sabrina in a good way?"

"If you think being stalked if he was outside his own house is in a good way?"

"Sheesh," Green said with a wince.

"So yeah, Red is trying to avoid her for 5 years then she came back to haunt him, or more likely trying to assert her "dominance"." He said while the doing the air quote gesture.

"Do we need to watch her now?"

"Red could handle it himself," Blue quickly leans over and whispers to his partner. "But it's gonna be difficult if Yellow is in the mix."

Green nods as they look to the small window of the Humvee to watch the couple sleeping within each other's arms but they could feel Sabrina glaring at them without the need of looking at her.

The Humvee then suddenly stop which caused Red and Yellow to jump in fright from their sleep while the two other members quickly grabbed the top so they wouldn't get flung to the air.

As the four calm down from the sudden stop, Surge open up his side window and leans out.

"Alright you brats, we're just near where the Cockatrice was once seen and reported. I need you four to be prepare before we enter its territory, so I will give you mirrors to protect you four from its gaze," Surge said as he then grabbed something from the glove compartment and showed four reinforced mirrors for the four teens.

Sabrina took one so she could only give it to Red but was disappointed when Red just gave it to Yellow and Surge gave him another one. The older blonde then gave the remaining two mirrors to Blue and Green as the two made sure that they won't lose them.

"So everyone ready for the fight of your life?" Surge asked everyone as Sabrina just scoffs while the four teens nods, ready for what they would encounter soon. "Alright, hold on."

Surge then stomp on the gas as the Humvee speed through the dunes once more and Team RABG are ready for what's to come.

The scorching sun strikes the arid desert below, the Humvee moving along the shifting sands while the occupants have to handle the heat.

Surge can easily take the heat due to his multiple services in the military, but not the rest.

Red had to remove his jacket and used his cap to fan himself, the heat barely had any affect on Yellow due to her extra ears but she still take some water to keep herself hydrated, Blue had to remove his polo shirt so he could use it to cover his head, Green also had to use her hat to fan herself, and Sabrina was taking a bottle of water to combat the heat.

As the Humvee continues to traverse the hot desert, Red and Yellow joins the rest of the team on top of the vehicle as they lean against each other's backs as he and Green used her massive shield as an umbrella while the brunette grabbed some Ice Dust as a way to cool themselves.

The armored vehicle continues to go through the loose sands of Vacuo till the hood began to smoke and had to stop. Surge had to try and fix his ride while the others are waiting just around him, already getting tired of the heat.

As Surge continues to fix the Humvee, Blue shoots one of Green's Ice Dust to make a small block of ice. The others began to relax near the ice while the brown haired teen used his sword to get some shaved ice for his plastic cup.

Seeing that the Humvee is completely run down, Surge took out a beacon and puts it on the Humvee for someone to pick it up. Everyone grabbed their stuff and began their walk through the desert.

Red look towards the sky with his right hand covering his eyes while the others keeps on moving. Surge endured the heat while the rest are slowly getting affected by it.

Hours pass by and the group are now getting tired of the heat. Surge still wasn't bothered by the heat but the rest were damn well aren't. Blue had to shoot another Ice Dust for everyone to relax around. Red and Yellow leans on the ice with the rest of the team but Red could feel someone staring at him as he looks around and quickly caught a glimpse of Sabrina turning her head away, acting very innocently but he knew better than to believe it.

Then night time arrived as everyone were sleeping in gender separated tents that was set up by everyone. The girls were sleeping peacefully till Green felt something very wrong, she opens her eyes and was shocked to see a still sleeping Yellow floating in the air and was about to be kicked out of the tent. Green looked behinds her to see Sabrina look asleep but the brunette could tell that she was doing this.

Luckily, Surge was outside taking his night shift and carried Yellow back in their tent which made Green and Sabrina looked at him setting Yellow back down and had tin foil wrapping in hand which caused Sabrina to look at the wrap in annoyance.

It was morning again as the group are now waking up. Surge and Blue are preparing breakfast for everyone while Red is stretching. The girls then came out of the tent as the cap wearing teen was surprised to see Sabrina's head wrapped in tinfoil as she began to angrily rip it off her face.

Hours later, the group continues their walk through the desert as they look around warily at how quiet the place is. Their body were just ready to spring into action as they just don't know when any Grimms would appear.

Then hours after that, the group took a bit of rest as the sun keeps beating them down with searing hot rays. Yellow's Faunus ears suddenly perk up, alerted. The group noticed this as they looked around and were horrified when they noticed a sand storm coming their way.

Green quickly brought out her shield to protect them, Surge used his massive body to do so as well, and Sabrina used her Semblance to divert most of the sand away from them.

The sand storm then envelopes the group as it continues to rage on.

(End Music)

An hour passed and an empty desert could only be seen.

Then the sand suddenly shifts and burst outwards like a dry geyser.

It is shown that the group is completely fine with little bits of sand covering them.

"Man, it really took its time," Red said as he removed his cap to let out the sand from his sand, Yellow and Green following his action as they also shook of the sand from their hair.

"Do you guys find it strange that a sand storm just comes after everything we have to endure after everything like we are being messed with?" Green questions as everyone thought about it, then they shook their heads making her sigh in relief. "Okay phew. I thought I was getting delusional by the heat."

"Don't rest just yet, we are nearing our destination," Surge said as Team RABG groans from this but had to follow so they could be done with this and go home.

Then the group began to continue their mission across the desert till they see an abandoned ruin on the distance.

They quickly moved towards a dune and Surge took out a pair of binoculars.

The lieutenant looks through it as he watches the ruins very carefully and saw something white and black moving around there.

"There's our target," He said to them as he puts down his binoculars and grabbed his weapons. "While Sabrina and I are going to face the chicken, you four cover our backs when we fight it. Don't lose your mirrors."

Team RABG nods as the six of them quickly moved towards their target. Team RABG looking around the area while their caretakers continues to move towards the ruins.

As they reached the ruins, the group put there backs on the broken walls while Surge poke his head out slightly to see their target.

Like how Sabrina explained it, the Cockatrice looks like a combination between a dragon and a demented rooster. Most of its body is entirely black with massive feathered wings, a tough boney outer skull with a sharp beak and a huge crests, armor platings along the spine and belly, very sharp talons, and glowing orange eyes.

The Grimm haven't noticed them yet as it was just looking around with its head high in the air before it lays on its armored belly and continues its watch.

Surge then looks to Red's team and gave the four some hand signals signifying if they are ready. The four nods as Sabrina quickly went up in the air while Surge quickly going for cover, Red and his team split up with their respective partners as they walk around the ruins to scout the area.

BOOM!

"Come here you damn chicken!"

BOOM!

ROAR!!

"Welp. That would definitely alert nearby Grimms," Red said.

BOOM!

SCREECH!!!

"You're not using your eyes on me!"

"A lot would definitely hear it," Blue said as Yellow's second pairs of ears suddenly perk up.

Then a rumble is heard as the four look around frantically while holding on their weapons tightly. They then stood still when they felt the shaking stop but Yellow's second pairs of ears were still perked up which only worries the group.

Blue suddenly felt a tiny shift but immediately knew what it was and shouted, "SPLIT!"

The team quickly jump away when their former standing point burst upwards, causing the sand to rain upon them. They looked to the source and saw thousands of small insect like Grimms with three glowing stingers coming out of the ground.

"Sulfur Fish!" Blue warns everyone as they are clearly in a disadvantage here due to their enemy's sheer numbers.

Some of the Sulfur Fish then clump together into multiple humanoid shapes that are quite large for the group.

Then the army of clumped up Sulfur Fish charged at them so they did as well.

Red immediately shoot out his grapples and reeled himself forward to kick one of them hard. Yellow and Green quickly joins to help while Blue stayed behind to give the three cover fire.

Red violently lashes his weapon at his enemies, either knocking them down or the cable tangles on their clumped up limbs and he could use them as wrecking balls. He could easily evade any attack with the use of his weapons and would occasionally kick them if he gathered enough momentum for a powerful strike.

Green would use her primary weapon in its sword form and would easily defeat her opponents by simply empowering her body with her Semblance so she could deliver more devastating slashes. If she was surrounded, she would swing her weapon around so she could use the momentum to decapitate more of their enemies that tries to come for her.

Yellow is simply beating her opponents by simply out speeding them. They couldn't catch up with her speed as she would just disappear before them and she would appear behind them to deliver a devastating kick. She would occasionally use her weapon just like Red would use his to simply tangle her opponent with the line and use them as wrecking balls.

Lastly Blue continously shoot at his opponents, firing volleys of Fire Dust that would blast away those who tries to sneak up on his team or those who would try to charge at him. If some of them did get close, he would quickly change his weapon into its sword form to cut them all down, his Semblance would easily search for any points weak points that he could use before going back at providing cover fire.

As the four continued their defense, Surge is currently mounting the Cockatrice's neck as he continously fire his pistol at the Grimm's eye while the beast tries to shake him off.

"Come on! It's that the best thing you can do?!" Surge taunts the Grimm as he keeps firing at its eyes till his pistol ran out of ammo. The Grimm then began to thrash around but it's movement was limited by Sabrina continously blocking its way with blockades made from the rubble.

"Hit through its damn skull already!" Sabrina yelled at the lieutenant as she uses more of the rubble to push the Cockatrice back to the middle of the ruins so it wouldn't ran off to the vast desert.

"Working on it!" Surge tries to reload his pistols but it was pretty hard when the Grimm tries to shake you off its neck. "Oh screw it!"

Surge put his pistols back to their holsters and just grabbed a pair of knives. He quickly move towards the head and made sure not to look at the Cockatrice's eyes. He jammed his knives on the Grimm's armor as it furiously tries to shake him off.

Suddenly, Surge's Aura appears around his body, pulsating. He held on to the Cockatrice's face as arcs of electricity also began to surround him as the Grimm continues to thrash around.

"Sabrina! Get out of here!" Surge yelled at the psychic as she quickly flew away and his Aura is now pulsating drastically and the electricity madly arcs around him.

The Grimm then felt a sudden urge to get Surge off of it as quickly as possible when it saw the lieutenant's body was now lighting up like a light bulb. It tried to ram the walls that surrounds it so Surge finally let's go, but he endured the beating as his body continues to glow brighter and a continuous honking sound could be heard around the two.

"Boom," It was just a whisper but that is what needed to be said.

BOOM!!!!

Back with Team RABG, the four could hear the explosion and feel the following shockwave as they look back to the ruins to see a mushroom cloud and a ton of debri being sent into the air.

"Damn, he must be struggling if he chooses to use his Semblance," Red said as he quickly lash at an incoming clump of Sulfur Fish.

"Considering that he had to leave most of his weapons with what could be easily carried, I would expect him to do this," Blue said as he fired at another clump of Sulfur Fish.

"What just happened?!" Yellow shouted as she has no clue to what is happening. She still managed to avoid an incoming punch and kicked her attacker.

"That's Surge's Semblance," Green said as she cuts one of the clumps with her blade. "He could use all of his Aura in a last ditch effort to end it all in one massive explosion."

"Doesn't that sound very dangerous?" The blonde asked.

"He already did it a lot of times when he was still in the military and he still uses it in when he was in the family," The brunette said as she just decapitate another clump. "He only loses his Aura after use and he needs to have three days of rest to recover from it. It doesn't bother him that much."

"I even took a the whole brunt of it once," Red added as he smashes two clumps of Sulfur Fish together. "Good thing I have my Semblance active or I might be in so much danger."

"Okay, that doesn't surprise me anymore," Green said with a deadpan expression as she just decapitate another clump of Sulfur Fish.

"So what now?" Yellow asked as she jumps over one of the Sulfur Fish clumps and kicks it from behind.

"Take the Sulfur Fish down. All of them!" Red ordered as everyone did so and charge at their enemies.

Red and Yellow would destroy more of them with their weapons and would occasionally kick them away very hard that the clumps of Sulfur Fish are sent flying to one another. Green would continue to decapitate more of them with her massive blade, swinging it around with her Semblance active to be able to swing it around with a lot of ferocity. Blue decided to join the rest of the team in the front line and used his blade to swiftly end more of them, his Semblance active so he could do it all with brutal efficiency.

Realizing the strength of their enemies, the Sulfur Fish disengage and went back below the sand before Team RABG could take more of them down.

Red killed off one last Sulfur Fish before they fled. Seeing that they are now gone, the four of them look at each other.

(End Music)

"I think that's it," Red said as he was a bit tired from the fighting.

"Yeah," Green said as she pierced the ground with her sword.

"Hey brats!" They then heard something above them as they look up to see both Sabrina and a very tired Surge, who is being carried by Sabrina's Semblance. "It's not over yet!"

When they heard this, Blue realized what he meant and quickly turned to the rest of the team, "Move!"

They immediately did so as the ground below them burst open which reveals the Sulfur Fish now clumped up together in a single massive clump that resembles a massive serpent with a massive glowing maw.

The four quickly readied their weapons but the massive clump of Sulfur Fish immediately charge for Yellow, who quickly move out of the way to avoid its menacing maw.

As it was now dragging its massive body on the massive surface in surprising speed, Red quickly shoot out his grapples to tether himself on the Grimm to slow it down.

Seeing this, the rest of the team quickly ran up to the Grimm as Red was still trying to slow it down. The three of them get on the Grimm and slowly chip its body away by continously destroying each Sulfur Fish that made its body. Yellow would fling one of them and proceeds to strike them in their vulnerable state, Green madly swinging her blade by the "neck" of the clump, and Blue madly swinging his sword to various weak spots that he could find. If it tries to escape through the sand, Red would forcefully pull it back to the surface as he is now charging up his Semblance.

The Grimm keeps trying to go back to the sand below to get an advantage but Red keeps preventing it from doing so, so it decided to focus on the cap wearing teen and charge at him. Red would try to avoid it as possible to keep his distance from it so his grapples are tight enough to make the Grimm's escape impossible.

Now getting annoyed, the massive clump of Sulfur Fish began to thrash to get rid the four off of its body. Swerving it's massive body to shake them off as the three on its body tries to hold on while Red is struggling to keep his grip on the ground.

"Get me down to the ruins, I'll be alright. Just help the kids!" Surge ordered Sabrina as she quickly did so by letting the lieutenant down slightly hard and went to help Team RABG.

The team of teens are still trying to prevent the Grimm from escaping, the Grimm keeps trying to shake them off and successfully got the three riding it off its body and only need to handle Red.

Red was still charging up his Semblance and he was just close enough, but he now needs to continously avoid the attacking Grimm before he could fully activate it in its full potential. He jumped away when the Grimm charge at him again as he tries to create some distance between them. When the Grimm tries again, Red lashes his grapples to the right, making the Grimm move towards the sudden jerk and misses Red.

Red is almost in his full power as the Grimm tries again to charge at the cap wearing teen, full speed. Red stood there in preparation as the Grimm is getting closer and closer and he quickly jump to the side and let's himself get dragged by the Grimm. He slowly got his feet back on the ground and immediately stood his ground as he held tightly on his grapples and forced the Grimm to take a very sharp turn, also resulting for his grapples to be removed from the clump of Sulfur Fish.

As the Grimm couldn't stop itself from crashing due to the sharp turn, Red was now covered in his Aura, his Semblance now active. The Grimm then recovers as it went to charge at Red again and the cap wearing teen was ready to take it on.

Suddenly, two bullets of pressurized water from Green hit the charging Grimm as it roars in pain from the attack. It was suddenly caught in a psychic hold as Red looked up to see Sabrina using her Semblance to hold it down.

"Take it out now!" Sabrina shouted to the team as they then charge at the immobilized monster.

Both Blue and Green began to fire at the Grimm with their weapons which made a lot of damage due to the fire power she has and Blue slowly drilling through the inside with pinpoint accuracy. The massive clump of Sulfur Fish just roar as it tries to escape Sabrina's grasp and the endless onslaught that Blue and Green doing to damage its body.

Red and Yellow were then heading straight for the the Grimm as the team leader let his grapples limp on the ground and gave the two ends of them to Yellow. She grasped it and he began to swing her around while she covers herself in electricity. Having been spun multiple times, Yellow finally let go and heads towards the Grimm like a bolt of lightning. She managed to pierce through causing the massive Grimm clump to raor from the damage it took and Red soon continues his charge. Red reeled his grapples back and then fired them towards the Grimm, especially to the side of its jaws. He then reeled himself towards the mouth of the beast and began to pummel it from the inside. The Sulfur Fish that consists its body tries to get Red out of its body but he was relentless and continued to pummel through it despite the resistance that the Grimm tries to do.

Both Blue and Green continued firing despite Red still being inside as the Grimm is now losing more of its mass from the blast that Green is causing and bits of itself being torn apart by Blue which slowly causes it to try and keep its massive shape. Red would stop that by destroying it from the inside as the Sulfur Fish couldn't hold up their massive shape anymore.

Feeling the Grimm clump slowly losing its resistance, Sabrina slowly add more power to her Semblance that she slowly lifts up the Grimm while Blue and Green keeps firing at it nonstop. She continues to lift it up till the massive Grimm was now out of the sand and on the air. Red immediately burst out of the other end of the Grimm which slowly falls to the ground but Blue and Green managed to blow it away to smoke. Red quickly jump off and fired his grapples at its underbelly and began to pummel that as well. A bolt of lightning suddenly heads towards the Grimm and it strikes just a few inches away from Red and it reveals to be Yellow as her hands pierced the body of the giant Grimm and began to exert a ton of electricity through it.

The massive clump began to loose its strength as it slowly began to fall apart which Sabrina took the opportunity to slowly pull it apart with her Semblance. The clump of Grimm began to get ripped apart as the Sulfur Fish that consists it helplessly tries to hold itself together but they lose so much that they couldn't fix itself anymore.

As the Grimm slowly gets rip apart, Red saw a small opening from its underbelly and got an idea. She quickly grabbed Yellow by her waist and he grabbed three of the small canisters that has his Aura in it. He then punched through the small gap and immediately pull his hand out when the cannisters is now inside the Grimm.

"Hold on," Red said to Yellow as she quickly embraced him, the cap wearing teen then released his grapples and the two were now falling towards the ground.

As more openings continues to cover the massive clump, both big and small, a bright red light began to pour out of them which Sabrina saw and realized that she need to quickly go away. As soon she left, the clump is now falling to the groung, glowing. The glow continues to grow stronger as the beast roars in fear.

BOOM!!

(End Music)

In a bright red explosion, the clump is slowly getting disintegrated by the blast while both Red and Yellow continues to fall. Red immediately held onto Yellow tightly as he let his back face the ground, he still has his Semblance active but it would hurt like hell.

Both Blue and Green were firing at some remaining stragglers as the two remaining members of their team crashed further away from them. As they finally finish every Sulfur Fish, the two brown haired teens quickly ran up to their remaining members.

They saw the two in a crater with Red groaning while Yellow is still hugging him. Both Blue and Green immediately ran up to them and get Red on his feet while Yellow used her Semblance to soothe their leader's back.

"Doing okay boss man?" Green asked jokingly as Red sent her an annoyed glare.

"Say that to my back," He said as he suddenly feel relieved due to Yellow's Semblance. "Yeah that hits the spot."

They then saw Surge and Sabrina walking towards them while the blonde man fixes his back.

"We'll wait here for our Bullhead then we can go home," He said as he then moves his arms around. "I already set up a beacon to our location and we would be picked up approximately two days, we already have enough supplies for that so don't even think of taking everything for yourself."

"Well be better set up camp, the ruins is a good enough place for us to sleep," Blue said as they look to the ruins.

"I might also add that there will be no funny business, I'm looking at you Sabrina," Surge said as then warns the psychic with a glare.

"Yes sir," Sabrina said while gritting her teeth as she just barely glares at unsuspecting Yellow, but the blonde girl's senses says otherwise and she moves closer to Red for safety.

"Alright, let's set things up, wait, and go home," Surge said as they immediately grab their stuff and set up camp in the now empty ruins.

It was now night time and Red is currently outside the boys tent as he sat on a broken pillar and look up towards the stars in his pajamas.

"Are you doing okay Red?" He then looks behind him to see Yellow standing behind him in her own pajamas but she doesn't have her hat on.

Red smiled at his girlfriend and said, "I'm fine, just needed some fresh air."

Yellow then walk up to him and flick his forehead.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Red yelled out in pain. as he felt a bit of shock from that flick.

"You're a terrible liar," She said as she sits beside him. She then placed her hand on his forehead then activated her Semblance to make the pain go away a little.

Red felt relieved as he smiled towards Yellow and said, "Thanks."

"Don't mention it," Yellow said as the two continued to look towards the stars. She put her head on his shoulders as they just take it in the sight before them. "So what's troubling you?"

"Its not that serious but... I'm really worried for you," Red said with concern clearly could be seen on his face.

"Why do you think that?" Yellow asked, wanting to understand what he is saying.

"I know that you could handle yourself but I'm worried for you because Sabrina is around."

"Why do you say that?" She asked, now very curious.

"Well, Sabrina is sadistic and can be crazy sometimes. I manage to beat her before and escape but I think it only makes her really really want me more. Like a toy."

"I can take care of myself."

"I know you can, just be careful around her. Okay?"

Yellow smiled at how concern he is for her and she said, "Okay."

Red then held her hand as the two continued to watch the light show before them.

Unbeknownst to the two, Sabrina is watching this from the girls tent and she was gritting her teeth in jealousy.

Inside the tent as well, Green could hear this very clearly and is worried for their younger member.

And that is it for this chapter.

Boy did it take some time, I am slowly getting some confidence to do more RWBY stories and I can't wait to make more.

I already have some ideas if I ever do more stories, they do need some more thinking but I hope that they will be ready.

With the help of my new schedule, I could now easily do more work without tiring myself from publishing each chapter very quick. Since it is now slower, I could change between unpublished chapters and correct the mistakes that I have made.
