An AU in which Greta never finds the ad from the Heelshires, and instead it's found by a girl named Ruby White, someone who's own parents neglected her in ways similar to Brahms's. A sort of happy-ending au, for both Brahms and Ruby. Each chapter is another oneshot in this AU, M rating is due to gore and violence in some chapters.

But the rules have changed and as the stress and traumas build up around her Greta finds herself falling deeper into Brahms's madness, his company her only option, his eyes her demons, his mind her only escape

Greta only has a moment to decide what to do. Does she run and possibly die? Or face Brahms and have a chance to survive?

A mysterious letter invites Emma to live at Heelshire manor. She thinks it'll be the hopeful start of a new life, however, she quickly discovers that she wasn't brought there out of charity. Brahm's needs a caretaker after Greta abandoned him and he's chosen her as the replacement. Will Emma run away after discovering the secrets hiding in the walls, or succumb to the madness?

Grace Jones is moving to England to work as a babysitter for a wealthy family, the Heelshires. As soon as she arrives she discovers that there are many dark secrets hidden in the depths of the Heelshire manor...

What if Greta hadn't run away from Brahms at the end of the movie? What if she'd stayed behind after he'd grabbed Malcolm?

She stopped, pausing for a moment to see if he would try to grab her and drag her out, and when he didn't, she pushed herself forward and hesitantly – ever so hesitantly – laid her hand in his. Greta isn't able to get the hatch open in time and is forced to make a dangerous decision. Greta x Brahms.

Just moments after Greta escapes the Heelshire Estate with Malcolm, a traveler wanders by the mansion in hopes to seek refuge in the manor. Only upon entering do they realize the resident may not be who they'd expect. (Reader's gender is NOT specified and everyone is welcome to read it). (2432 word count).

Post-movie, Greta's mind starts to wander back to her first real encounter with Brahms. Denial hits hard when she catches herself having some less than innocent thoughts about the masked killer.
