Xander heard a small whimper coming from his one month old son Jesse's, room. 'He must be up from his nap.' He thought, going to check on him. He turned on the light and stopped abruptly.

"Cordy, I think there's something we forgot."

"What Xander?"

"Well, remember werewolfism is inherited right?"

"Yes, but the full moon isn't for a few days, yet. Jesse should be fine. We handle my transforming, we can handle his, too."

"That just it, honey. We forgot that you're not the only one in this family that can transform. Remember the Blessing that lets me turn into a giant brown hyena whenever I want?"

"Yes, what of it? What is that in my son's crib?!"

"I believe that's our son, Jesse. Apparently, he can transform at will. And it looks like he can turn into something that looks like a cross between a wolf and hyena." As he walked over to the crib and picked up the little wolf/hyena.

"What are you doing?!"

"I'm going to play fetch with my son in the backyard. After all, it's what we would be doing anyway. Well, once he can walk as a human, that is."

Cordelia stared at Xander as he took the little pup into the backyard and set him down on wobbly puppy legs. It didn't take long before the little guy was steady and moving. Xander lightly tossed a ball to him and he chased after it.

'I didn't think my life could get any weirder.' She thought. 'i should have known better.'

Cordelia grabbed a pop from the fridge and sat down in a lounge chair on the deck and watched as her husband played fetch with their son.
