Decided on a second chapter
The Scooby Gang assembled at the Magic Box, a store owned by Rupert Giles. Xander and Cordelia had called them there for a meeting, saying they had important news.
"So, Xander, what's up?" Buffy asked.
"Well something happened a couple of days ago. We decided we should let you all know, so you especially, Buffy, don't go into slay now mode. Because I guarantee you won't like our response if you do." Xander said.
"What's that mean?"
"Just this." Xander walked over behind the counter, bent down and picked something up.
"What is that?" Willow asked, eyeing it. "I've never seen an animal like that before."
"Well, that's because, as far as we know, there's never been another like him. He's completely and totally unique."
"What exactly is he?" Giles asked, staring a the strange little creature.
"This is Jesse."
"Excuse me?" Giles asked, startled. "Are you naming this creature after your son?"
"No, this is Jesse. Apparently, like me, he can transform at will. He's sort of a crossbreed, I guess."
"Little bit of a problem though." Cordelia said. "He likes being in this form. He keeps changing into it. We wanted you to be aware so you don't try to slay him or sit on him or something. He's just so little, you know?"
Total silence as everyone stared at them.
