The Expendables have lived through a lotta crap, but never in their lifetime did any of them even consider a portal to Mars or zombies or the apocalypse happening in their lifetime. "Do you remember how I told you that I have two names?" Jim asks. "Vaguely," Bones finally responds. "I, also, have two names, Leonard," Spock tells the doctor. "It's the same name," Jim interrupts gleefully. "Uh, congrats?" McCoy asks more than states. "So, who's the lucky guy or gal?" "His name is John Grimm." Spock informs him. McCoy carefully avoids breaking his coffee mug.

After an unfortunate telepathic incident leaves McCoy in a coma, Spock reluctantly agrees to perform a mind meld the the doctor. He finds the human's mind unexpectedly quiet.

"You hacked my file?" he asks and almost winces at his own tone. Jim blinks, breaking his gaze with some green alien girl and frowning at his friend. He hasn't heard this tone before – wouldn't have, because he's not hearing his best friend McCoy, he's hearing John Grimm and John Grimm is pissed.

Dorian thinks he is expendable. He is not. The security officers think they are expendable. They are not. John is.

AU. When John 'Reaper' Grimm and the rest of the RRTS get sent to Mars, he never expected to find his soul mate in the form of his sisters friend and work colleague. With Imp's running wild, people dropping dead and orders which could threaten the lives of everyone present at the Olduvai facility, just how far will Reaper go to protect the ones he loves most. Fem!Kirk/Reaper!McCoy.

Promp from TFALokiwriter. AU. One day, Jim and Spock get on Bones' nerves, which makes him act a little less like 'Bones' and more like 'Reaper'. He wishes that he'd never been born out loud. After his shift, Bones returns to his quarters, exhausted and falls asleep and dreams about a reality where Leonard McCoy/John Grimm had never been born. Will Bones take back all that he said?

Nightmares. They were never a good sign, not for Leonard McCoy. When he had nightmares, it meant that the shit was about to hit the fan... This time, unfortunately, it might just spell the end for the Enterprise and her crew. Hell, what else was new? Reaper!McCoy, no pairings...yet.

Everyone has their 'where they belong' feeling. Just not on a science vessel. Reaper does not belong there. He can feel it in his bones. Massive rewrite of the movie. Keeping the characters. Fixing the plot. New villains. The UAC has military interests, but what does this matter to a tactical squad sent to enforce quarantine. Staff Sergeant John Grimm lives through hell made real. When he wakes up in military custody, they did something to his mind. Her face isn't real, but won't go away. They're setting hell free.

This is a story that begins with a scene that could have been added to 'After the red alert' at the end and Spock gets around to actually taking care of Kirk. Well, really, Spock finally makes the admission. Which of the two comes first? Naturally, it is the line "Damn it, Jim!" from John.

I was messaged by a fan of the previous installment on who asked if I could make another chapter dealing on everyones reactions on Bones/Reapers death and talking about the idea actually started to make me think about the idea and want to write it. This starts out with a scene that was going to be written into Red alert but it was discarded.

John's nightmares started the same. Freely floating in space. Everyone dead. Save for him. Except it could become reality.

What happens in the past remains in the past. Bones would like to believe that. C-24 wrecked his first life, John 'Reaper' Grimm part of the Rapid Response Tactical Squad (or RRTS), taking away all those he worked with. These days he goes by the name Leonard 'Bones' McCoy. Unfortunately for the doctor . . . The past comes back.
