Aloy returns to the Base hoping to get some well-deserved rest, but constant nightmares lurk in her mind. After Varl's death, Aloy is determined never to lose another friend to the cause again. Kotallo is determined to see Aloy succeed at her mission, even if it should cost him his life. A perilous journey south sparks new flame between them - but this fire does not simply warm. It also burns.

Erend doesn't think very highly about himself, but he's doing his best to fill her shoes. The trouble is, he can't seem to stop thinking about the Nora Huntress with the red hair, freckles, and a smile like the sun. And the king certainly isn't doing him any favors by sending him on a wild goose chase through the wilderness to find her.

Waking up nearly a thousand years later, all he wanted was answers. What happened to everyone? Aloy of the Nora had questions of her own. Together, they set off on a grand adventure for answers. (Taking a complete break from writing. No idea when I'll be back.)

Desperate to find herself, and maybe her mother, she leaves for a new quest, unaware of the new threats she'll find…and, begrudgingly, she lets herself be accompanied by the only person she knows who understands what it is to not belong. Aloy heads back to the Sacred lands to help rebuild and things. A few weeks later, Avad sends Erend and some of the Vanguard there to negotiate peaceful trades... Around the Embrace, they both find themselves drawn to another and life ensues. Will possibly go further into things like marriage and stuff!

Aloy is used to the look in people's eyes when they regard her. Hatred.Mistrust. Disgust. Sometimes, careful curiosity. Even rarer, cautious friendliness.A carefree smile, almost never. But there's something about the grief and fury in his eyes that feels so close to her own, that Aloy can't turn her back on. There is something else in his eyes she can't turn away from either.

Erend is sure his fate is too much for him to bear. His shoulders are strong, but not strong enough to carry his sisters legacy. But as he and Aloy hunt for Ersa's fate, he learns that being broken is no excuse, and that there are fates in the world that are worse than his. If she can carry the world, he can carry a city. Maybe, if he gets stronger, she'll let him help carry hers.

Lt. Col. Alex Pierce was assigned as head of security of Zero Dawn. He and his unit were known as Final Bastion, the last defense of Humanity's Last Hope. When he awakes after the Proving Massacre when Aloy is brought to the 'All Mother', he, Aloy, and his AI, Heracles, must find out what happened to his team and the truth about Project Zero Dawn.
