Jeremy recalls an incident when he went to Olympia for business and to get Candy's wedding ring. He took the stagecoach home and on the way they were held up. The Robber was none other than The Kid. He recognized Jeremy and took the ring and said he was going to give it to Candy in front of Jeremy and everyone in Seattle.

Pilar has made a fine business running a restaurant with Mexican food with Lottie and Aaron's help. She is hoping that Joshua has healed enough to see that she loves him. Jason and Aaron need extra help to run both their operations. Joshua wants to leave for awhile in order to come to terms with his past in Montana. Did he really kill Sheila? Why is she still haunting him?

Jeremy's stuttering is tormenting him. He considers drastic means to end the problem. The solution he considers has horrific results.

William knows Biddie quite well, and will be able to use her in the scheme. Simon, wants Candy and he is confident he will get her away from Jeremy.
