Teru might be a tense ball of nerves, but he's not an idiot. He prepared for this. There isn't some grand story for why Teru did what he did, so he doesn't need to pour out excuses. Reigen had already talked to her son about all that stuff (about how he was such a shitty teenager). (the age-swap AU where Teru is Reigen's biological father, but only met Kageyama much later on)
