It's a long story with seven chapters and a tag. Not AU, rather a sort of introduction to a fifth season with an unexpected opening. As usual, I don't own the characters though I wish I did. This is a story based on the episode, "Night Crawler". Something traumatic happens to Amanda when she is Birol's custody, and this story follows her path as her and Lee become engaged and married and work through this event. Lee moves a lot faster in this story than he does in the tv series. I made a few changes and I hope you enjoy this story.

Everyone notices it, but nobody with any good sense says anything, because it's kind of sweet.

Penelope and Amanda meet again. Lee and Amanda are on vacation. Nothing goes according to plan.

This is what I would have loved to have seen after Fast Food for thought.

Tag based on Scarecrow's and Amanda's conversation about Dean when he tells her he doesn't get it she's still seeing that guy. I wondered if Lee knew more than he let on.

I really loved that episode. It was both very moving and painful to watch. So I added a little fluff. Hope you enjoy it. The idea for the scene in the car comes from a video of them I saw with Easton Corbin's song All Over the Road.
