Holder helps Linden through her grief. Takes place immediately after the end of Six Minutes and is meant to slide seamlessly into the timespace between Six Minutes and the Season 3 finale. Thus, everything that happened in canon, still happened.

What starts off as a simple grocery run results in Holder volunteering to help his partner cook dinner. I watched the last 5 minutes of "Eden" for the millionth time, because I needed a Linden and Holder fix, and suddenly Holder's line, "Close your eyes," made me think… what if she had? So here's an alternate ending that starts from just before that point.

"I know that's what people say- you'll get over it. I'd say it, too. But I know it's not true. Oh, you'll be happy again, never fear. But you won't forget. Every time you fall in love it will be because something in the man reminds you of him."

Linden and Holder spend a lot of time together, and yet, there's a lot that isn't said... but the more time they spend together, the less that matters. They can read each other... most of the time. This story includes clips from the show as well as extra scenes that I would have *liked* to have seen, and lots of what may have been going on in their heads.

Takes place during the 5 years between when Linden left Seattle after Richmond "cleared up" the Skinner situation and when she came back to see Holder, in the last scene of s4 e6... plus a little bit that came after that.
