Chapter 7: The Grey Wardens arrive at Haven

At the start of the Fifth Blight, Duncan has enough time to recruit more Wardens than just one. These new Wardens will have to do whatever it takes to stop the Blight. All Origins exist, including two mages (Amell and Surana) and two nobles (Cousland twins). Elements from the mods mentioned in my profile info have been implemented. Some deviations from the original plot.

Reading the first story is not needed, it is recommended though, to understand a few references. This story does contain mature content.

After losing their family and lands to a mutiny, Lord Alvar Cousland and his wife, Lady Sancia are forced to flee. At the same time, there is threat of a blight. With Ferelden threatened both externally and internally; will Alvar avenge all the wrongs done to him, take back what was stolen from him, reunite with his wife and bring peace to the land or will he perish in the attempt?

The main character is Morrigan. The one... The overbearing, intelligent, sarcastic and not-so-mysterious companion of the protagonist of Dragon Age: Origins. In contrast to the original, the entire focus of the story shifts to this amazing daughter of Flemette. By fate, as in the canon, the witch leaves Korkari. ut it is not only the threat of Blight that drives her on adventures.

Contents of this fic: 1 Zevran: smooth as all-get-out, miserable, and totally unused to kindness. 1 Rhodri: appallingly awkward, embarrassingly kind, laughs at own jokes. Mix the two gently and carefully until combined, and point and laugh/despair (delete as applicable) at their boundless foolishness for added flavour.

What can eight Grey Wardens, most of whom are new recruits, do against a Blight? Save the world if they have to, or go down trying. Book 2 of the series, Freedom Marches follows Korlys, Mario and Attrei, along with their new associates - the healer Claudio and two Crow apprentices, Anastasio and Dante - on their new adventures as they leave Ferelden behind.
