If the universe demands a sacrifice, there is another potential victim. (Spoilers for the ending to Life is Strange.)

A short oneshot based on an alternate take on Max's visit to Kate in the hospital; in this, Kate's parents come to visit a day early and meet Max, just an idea I had after reading about the game and seeing youtube videos of it. Little more detail inside; first story for this series, hope to give it a chance.

This wasn't like her at all. Ask any of her friends and that's what they'll say. They'd say she was a nice girl who almost always did her work, took pictures, sketched in her book, et cetera. And she was tired of them saying that. (Summary subject to change.)

Pricefield. Rachel comes back from her modelling career in LA. Chloe spends time with Rachel and sparks up some feelings inside our favourite little hipster. Some jealousy. Some fluff. And maybe a lot of drama. Idk. Set in a timeline where the dark room never happened, and obviously where Rachel wasn't killed. Enjoy.

We've been on the road for three days now. The routine is the same. We get up, we drive, we arrive somewhere. We stay for the night. All I know about our destination is that it's definitely not Seattle. Max doesn't want any reminders of who she was, what she did, before this insane week. I know the feeling. (A short postscript)

Alternate universe where Max goes insane from seeing Chloe die. She decides that nothing is too far to save Chloe. WARNING! This is severely OOC for Max and far from canon!

Kate sees Max covering up some questionable marks on her neck with a scarf when it's barely cold outside and begins to worry. She ends up getting some "tips" from the rest of the girls in the dorm and decides to confront Max herself about these "bruises".

The last few days of Rachel Amber's life, filled with colorful events that eventually lead up to her disappearance. The story is NOT an AU, all events are based on evidence and dialogue from the game with VERY minor additions for convenience. I'm trying to keep the depth level close to the game's, so looking behind the lines is encouraged. Enjoy the read.
