Post-episode 5; sacrifice!Max ending. After Max's body washes up on the shore, Chloe buries her in the woods and mourns her death alone. A month later, Chloe's grown up and now she has to confront her previous actions.

Max can't even begin to think about what Chloe must be feeling. Still, she squeezes the hand woven within her own tight, trying to pour whatever of herself she has left into Chloe.

Max Caulfield may have been the one to talk to Kate on the roof, but she was not the only one who tried to save her. A small story from the point of view of the only other character Max saw who was actually trying to do something during that frozen moment of time.

Max returned to that day to sacrifice Chloe and save the people of Arcadia Bay. But what if she failed, and Chloe survived? This is also for the secret santa exchange!
