When Astrid promises that it won't end well for him if he continues to refuse to sit down, Toothless tried to intervene for the sake of his rider's dignity. Hiccup learns the hard way that Astrid's a woman of her word.

An AU of the Race to the Edge episode Buffalord Soldier, in which Hiccup contracted the Scourge. When Astrid learns about a disturbing discovery that Hiccup has made, she realizes that his life depends on a dragon once thought to have never existed. FIX: I made changes to how I wrote it, removing OCs and rewriting the story so it isn't directly copying the episode's format.
