It's the second of May, but to Sam, it's probably the worst birthday ever. Seeing your own brother being dragged to hell isn't the most happiest thing to see on your special day. But somehow, Sam still ends up smiling when he finds a hidden parcel with his name on it.

This is another one-shot Destiel fic. It is set somewhere in the 10x18-10x19 universe. Dean and Cas are in the Impala on their way back from a hunt that Dean had planned to take on solo. Cas is a little upset. Dean drives on trying to figure out his feelings and understand just how Cas was able to find him when he wasn't even praying.

Dean bakes Sam a birthday cake. Sam is very suspicious, and with good reason.

Dean tries his best to give Sam a good sixteenth birthday, but has no funds, no job, and Dad's away. But at the end of the day, it may turn out to be one of the best birthdays Sam's ever had. Well... that's what he hopes.
