A/N: I'm not sure why I am doing this to be exact. I'm just bored. So, let's see where this takes me. Also, I'm doing this as a side story kind of thing. Just to improve my writing style and overall skill in general. This is going to be simple, what if Naruto was a Hyuga? Again, like the other story I've been writing, a lot of fanfiction of Naruto being a Hyuga is the same. Either 1, Naruto becomes the house pet of the Hyuga or is somehow a Hyuga with blue eyes.

My story will, and like many of my stories I will write, none, and I do mean none, will be a NaruHina ship. Some I won't do any ships at all. With that being said, If you want a specific ship, say so in the reviews. This story will likely be longer and more in debt than my other story currently is. Now, without further ado, let's get started.

Chapter 1: Hyuga Naruto

Hiruzen Sarutobi was an old man. He had been wanting to retire for a very long time, and had achieved said goal of retirement. However, life had very different plans for this old man. He was wrong to assume he could get away so easily from the grasp of the ninja profession.

His successor had come to an early demise, leaving him to take back the mantle. He'd left behind a black haired baby named Naruto. Naruto Hyuga. Not only was this boy the son of a legend, he was the jinchuriki of the nine tailed fox demon. This boy had lost everything in just the first day of his life. This had, of course, brought about a headache, as usual with such things as attacks on the village, and demon foxes being sealed. It had been but a week since Minato Hyuga had died. Such a hassle, the paperwork, the council, the troublesome clans. Everything was in chaos.

He had to have a council meeting today to discuss the future of the young boy currently in the hospital waiting to be taken in by his family. Despite not wanting to accept it, Hiruzen had given in. He had told the village about the sealing of the Kyuubi. Danzo had forced his hand as usual. If he hadn't revealed it, Danzo would've, and he'd much rather he himself reveal such a sensitive topic to his village.

Sarutobi opened the drawer to his desk, pulling out a pinch of tobacco. He stuffed his pipe and lit it. He took a drag, exhaling the smoke; attempting to mentally and emotionally prepare himself for the council meeting that would surely age him even further than he'd already been.

An Anbu appeared before the Hokage, "Hokage sama. May I ask about the boy?" The anbu before him was young standing at around 5 feet 7 inches. He had gravity defying gray hair and a muscular yet slim frame. He was one of 3 of the students of the Yondaime, and the most talented of the three.

"You may. And remove your mask, it is quite unnecessary around me, Kakashi san."

The boy now known as Kakashi removed his mask and bowed deeply. "So, how is he, Hokage Sama?"

Sarutobi looked at the young man and sighed, "He's fine. He's currently in the hospital . He's with a trusted individual. Do not worry, Kakashi."

Kakashi nodded in acknowledgement. "So, who's he going to be with? If need be, I'll take responsibility." I can't let sensei's son go down the same path I did. After all, he lost his father and mother on the same night. Now, he's forced to carry such a burden. Kakashi broke himself from his musings, hearing the Hokage's voice once more.

"No, that won't be necessary. It seems as if he inherited his Hyuga gene's quite nicely. His black hair and pale eyes are proof of that. He will be adopted into the branch family of the Hyuga clan."

Kakashi's visible eye widened slightly. "Branch? Minato Sensei was the strongest Hyuga besides Hiashi Sama to grace this village."

"Yes, usually Naruto would be a main house clan member. However, Minato married outside the clan. Even worse, the Uzumaki clan. Quite literally known to be the opposite of what the Hyuga uphold as clan standards. You know that better than anyone, Kakashi."

Kakashi nodded knowing exactly the relationship Kushina had with the Hyuga clan. It was, to say the least, not the best. Minato and Kushina were practically opposite people with opposite attitudes. Minato upheld his clan values as clan head, being serious and no nonsense. Hiashi and Hizashi, his brothers, made sure of that. They were born triplets, Minato first, Hiashi second and Hizashi being born last. All but Hizashi were high prestige members of the main house of the Hyuga clan. Hizashi peacefully resided in the branch house.

"Alright. I see Hiashi and Hizashi will raise him well. They are both very strong and capable shinobi. He'll grow to be a… strong man."

Hiruzen sighed and nodded. "Yes, a strong man indeed."

"Okay then, Hokage Sama. Good luck at your meeting." Kakashi said, disappearing in a flutter of leaves."

Council Room an Hour later

"So. The demon is sealed inside this Hyuga boy, correct?" Asked a pineapple hair shaped man.

"Yes." Answered Hiruzen.

"Then why the hell haven't we killed it!"

Said one villager.

"Yeah, why's the demon still alive?"

Said another.

"We need to end his life before the demon escapes!"

Said one more.

An overwhelming killing intent emitted off of one man. Surprisingly, it wasn't the Hokage; It was Hiashi Hyuga, the current clan head of the Hyuga clan. "You will not speak of my nephew in such a way. He is not a demon as you mindless fools seem to think. He is a newborn baby who has been given the burden of keeping you fools safe. I suggest you quiet your voices before I make your heart explode in a painful, torturous way." Hiashi, by now had activated the clan's famed dojutsu, the Byakugan. He was a powerful man, one who rivaled the 4th Hokage's strength. Hiashi respected his brother not only for his strength but for his courage. He had shown the village what a Hyuga could be if they swallowed their pride and simply branched out to learn other jutsu, other techniques, etc.

The council room was quiet once more. Many villagers were too scared to speak in fear of invoking the wrath of Hiashi Hyuga. Many saw their deaths by the man's hands. That alone terrified them.

Hiruzen cleared his voice, breaking the mundane silence, "Right then. I have come to a decision. Naruto will be placed into the branch house of the Hyuga. He will not receive the cage bird seal for it would interfere with the Kyuubi seal."

"Hokage Sama, the power of the Bijuu should not be in the hands of one particular clan. They'd have too much influence over the militant power in Konoha." Said one Fugaku Uchiha, clan head of the Uchiha clan. Hiashi gave Fugaku an "are you retarded" look before speaking, "He is a Hyuga." "And that means what? If an Uchiha was the Jinchuriki-" "If the Jinchuriki was an Uchiha, you red eyed bastards would simply use the boys sharingan to control the fox. Simple as that, and everyone here knows it. All you people seek is power." Said Hiashi, leaving no room for debate. Fugaku seethed with anger, he'd no longer have the chance to take control of the Kyuubi. Damn those pale eyed bastards, they'll pay for this. I'll make sure of it. Thought Fugaku.

"Right then. It is settled. Along with this, an S rank secret of the nine tails container. If it is spoken aloud, it will be punishable by death. No exceptions. Whether clan head or civilian. That is all, now, go home and bother me no more."

Everyone had mixed opinions. Hiashi had a victorious smile. He wouldn't allow someone like Fugaku Uchiha to take Naruto. Not his nephew. Not Minato's Son.

Hiashi headed to the hospital to take Naruto away, excited to tell his brother and wife. As he walked, he observed the damage the fox had done. Many buildings had collapsed, many shrines burnt, and the village was a wreck. He, however, was not by any means concerned about the village for it had called for the death of his nephew. It was unacceptable. As he arrived at the hospital he asked for his nephew, and was brought to a room full of babies. Some are a week old, others, just born. He kept walking until he came across one specific cradle. "I see." He saw a baby boy with black spiky hair and pale eyes. Just like his father. It seemed his genetics ran strong.

"This is who I'm assuming you're here to pick up, Hiashi Sama?" Hiashi nodded to the nurse and she quickly got the boy swaddled in blankets, handing the cocoon of a child wrapped in blankets to the clan head. "Thank you, Medic Nin San." He said, leaving with the bundle. He walked and many stared in disbelief. It was Hiashi Hyuga. With the demon. What the hell! How could he betray his village by taking in the boy with the nine tails inside of him.

Hiashi scoffed at the simple-minded fools he lived for and fought to protect. Is this what it means to be a ninja of Konoha? To live and die for ignorant people? Maybe it's because they are ignorant that they are to protect them. Maybe it's because they are simple-minded that people such as himself and his sibling we're alive. To think for those who cannot think for themselves. He mused over this until reaching his home. "Hitori. Come say hello to our new guest. It's Minato's child.' Hitori, the wife of Hiashi and soon to be mother to Hinata Hyuga walked in, seeing her husband with a new bundle of black hair in his arms. She smiled warmly at the bundle and took it from Hiashi.

"Hiashi Kun, he is so cute. What's his name?"

"His name is Naruto. Malestream. Or, perhaps, fishcake? Who knows. I know Kushina must've named the boy." Hitori giggled at her husband's conversation with himself. "Well, whatever it means, little Naruto is so adorable. Maybe he and Hizashi's boy can be great friends as they get older."

"Maybe. He's a year older so he could be a good role model for Naruto here. I need to talk to Hizashi. I'll be back soon, honey. Have fun with little Naruto."

Hiashi left. What he'd be going to discuss with Hizashi was crucial to not only the clan but the leaf village in general.

He appeared at Hizashi home, allowing himself in at the command of his brother's voice.

"Brother, there is something we must talk about."

"Hiashi, nice to see you, brother. I know what it is you wish to speak of. I'm assuming it's the caged-bird seal?"

"Yes, however, it's not in the light you may be thinking of. I wish to avoid giving Neji the seal. Your son does not need to be a slave to this corrupted clan."

Hizashi was stunned by his brother's words. "Hiashi, you know that is impossible. The clan elders would never allow that to happen."

"And if they don't, we'll threaten them with something."

"With what, brother?"

I'm removing your caged bird seal. I'll threaten them

to leave the village and join Kumo, along with you, Neji and Naruto. The jinchuriki. That is something they cannot refuse."

Hizashi took a step back in shock, nearly stumbling over his own feet. "Brother, how can you remove this seal? It is nearly impossible!"

"Like this, Hizashi." Hiashi went through 4 hand signs ending in the one that had quickly become a trigger of pain for Hizashi. He closed his eyes, waiting for the pain. It never came. "Take off your head protector, Hizashi." Hizashi did so, running to a mirror and seeing the seal gone.

For the first time in years, Hizashi wept. Tears of joy, gratitude and gratefulness. Hizashi composed himself, hugging his brother for the first time in nearly a decade. "Thank you, brother. You have saved my life. You've restored my strength."

Hiashi returned his sentiments. "Now, let's go."

Hiashi and Hizashi appeared before the Hyuga elders shortly after calling a clan meeting. "Elders, I hope your day has been more productive than times before. It has truly been a time of chaos."

The elders all narrowed their eyes at the sight of the twins, feeling something off. "What is it you want, Hiashi, we have things to do."

Hiashi scoffed at the thought of being blown off. It's alright, he had something incredibly special to tell them.

"I'll keep this simple. I removed Hizashi's seal-"

"YOU WHAT?"

Yelled an elder.

"I removed Hizashi's seal be-."

"You imbecile. Do you know how dangerous this could be-"

"Please do not continue to interrupt me." Said Hiashi in a cold voice. This immediately shut the elders up. Hiashi cleared his voice then continued on with his speech, "I removed his seal because he is my brother. Since Minato died, he is no longer just a triplet but my twin brother. You idiot elders placed this seal simply so that at least of the most powerful triplets to ever exist could be controlled by you. No more. Also, I, as clan head, will remove the caged bird seal from every branch member. And from here on out, prohibit it from being placed on any other member. This, by default, will remove branches and main houses of the family."

The elders were stunned to say the least. This insolent brat of a Hyuga had done the impossible, and now wanted to put their clan in danger.

"I forbid it, Hiashi. We will not be removing the caged bird seal, and it will immediately be placed back onto Hizashi tomorrow. This meeting is over-"

"I thought you'd say something like this" Interrupted Hiashi, "And because you leave us no choice, if you're to to try to rebrand my brother and/or any other clansmen or women, my entire family, including the new addition of Naruto Hyuga, along with Hizashi's family will leave and join Kumo. And there's nothing you can do about it."

"That's preposterous. You'd be nuke nin. You'd be hunted-"

"Hunted by who, exactly? Have you forgotten, Elder, that we're the strongest clan in Konoha. Not to mention me and Hizashi are both on the level of the sannin. My brother is simply obedient and loyal to this sickening clan. That is why, he has not killed you each where you stand. That being said, you either accept my deal or I'll depart from Konoha tomorrow morning." Finished Hiashi with the biggest shit eating grin he could muster.

The elders seethed in defeat knowing that what Hiashi was saying was undoubtedly the truth. No one but the hokage or Fugaku could stop these two by themselves, let alone together. They relented, "Fine Hiashi." The elder spat the name with venom. "Your orders are effective immediately. We will start on the process of removing the seals today. Remember this, boy, you will, and I mean it, pay for this. You disgust me. Leave."

Hiashi complied, taking his brother with him. That was one matter settled. "Hiashi, what're you trying to do with the clan exactly?" Asked Hizashi. "Brother, allow me to explain something to you." Hiashi stopped walking and turned towards his twin brother. "Minato showed me a lot of things. A couple things in particular stood out to me." Hiashi looked towards the air, breathing in slowly, "What Is our clan's biggest weakness?"

"Hm. That we don't use ninjutsu?"

"No, brother, it is something much deeper."

"I'm not sure, Hiashi. What is it?"

"It is our pride, Hizashi. It's not that we can't learn ninjutsu or perhaps, medical techniques. No, it is not that that plagues us. It is not inability, but the thought that we are too good for such things. That we, as a clan, are already strong without such techniques and therefore, refuse to learn them."

Hizashi snapped towards his brother, "Not to refute your point, but we are plenty strong with taijutsu alone. Our byakugan makes sure of that."

Hiashi sighed, quickly forming his thoughts in the correct way.

"The Byakugan, just like a sword or a kunai, is a weapon. When a ninja relies too heavily on his kenjutsu or weapon skills, he forgets to train in the area he is weak at. For example, genjutsu or ninjutsu. Because of that, where he could counter a fireball with a simple water jutsu, he has to create space from his opponent, the worst thing a swordsman or weapon specialist could do. If you specialize in ninjutsu and forget about taijutsu, you simply become easy prey to someone such as Might Guy, a taijutsu specialist."

Hizashi nodded, understanding what he meant and the true weakness of his clan.

"So I'm going to reform this clan. I have to. It is my duty as its clan head." Hiashi began walking once more.

"So we will be learning ninjutsu and genjutsu. Passing it down from generation to generation?"

"We will not focus heavily on it. We will, however, my ideal is to teach one basic jutsu to every Hyuga child before they become a ninja. The jutsu will be based on their chakra affinity. This will make sure that they are well rounded individuals. Taijutsu will still be our main point of focus. Nevertheless, we will incorporate different teachings." At least, that is if there is much of a clan left…

"I see. So, what are we to do now, brother?"

"We are to help rebuild the village. It won't rebuild itself.

"That's for sure.

XxXxXxXxXxXx

A peaceful baby lies sleeping in the arms of Hitori Hyuga. Hitori loved the mere sight of the black haired baby in her arms. It was a splitting image of his father, Minato. "Wow, Naruto. You're so cute with your little whiskers." Naruto, as if hearing the compliment, woke up with a smile on his face. His face contained innocence and many wished to get back. His face is enough to melt the hearts of many, and yet, many would reject this boy for the burden he carries.

Hitori laid Naruto in his cradle, leaving to go get baby formula. She herself had been pregnant with a daughter who'd be born in December. She had just a couple months before she could take part in the privilege known as giving birth.

As she awaited her husband, she fed the baby in front of her. She mused about what exactly her husband was doing. He wasn't known for doing much concerning the clan. In fact, he rarely talks to his clansmen outside of immediate family or mission related topics. She herself wasn't the most outgoing. Unlike her husband, however, had decent social skills. She could uphold and even start up a conversation.

She was by all means the reason why Hiashi had any communication skills at all. As little as he had now, he was much better than he had used to be.

Hiashi sneezed, dropping a pile of medical records on the floor. Someone must be thinking about me, he mused. "Out of all people, I wouldn't expect you to be clumsy, Hiashi." Said a loud and jolly voice that seemed to echo. He knew the man speaking quite well. Yes, it was someone he could never beat in a one on one, it was Jiraiya the toad sage of Mt Myoboku.

"Jiraiya-san, it's nice to see you around. My clumsiness is not because of habit, but because of exhaustion. We've been working day and night to get this village back in place. Earlier today, I had finally reunited the Hyuga clan, so I am very mentally exhausted."

Jiraiya turned serious at the work "reunite." "What do you mean reunite? If it's through the way I believe,

this could cause… trouble for the Hyuga clan."

Jiraiya knew of the Hyuga clan politics seeing as he trained one and befriended two others. "Yes, I am aware. I've threatened them with departure from the village, however, I don't suspect they'll take this lying down. Worse case scenario, it may lead to inner-clan war. It will be years before such things could happen, though. If word got out that the Hyuga clan had removed cursed seals but also went into civil war, Kumo would jump at the opportunity. As well as Kumo, I'm almost positive Iwa would attempt the kidnapping of the jinchuriki."

Jiraiya went over Hiashi's words, attempting to process said information. "This could get ugly. I'll take my leave now. I need to get any information I can on Orochimaru, and If you need any information on Kumo or Iwa, let me know."

Hiashi nodded and Jiraiya disappeared in a flutter of leaves. Hiashi would have to tell the Hokage of the possible danger of his clan, or outside villages.

Walking through the village he saw a great many grieving faces. Some grieving for their parents, others their wives and some their husbands. The village was truly and utterly devastated. He felt the presence of a person behind him and swiftly turned around to see none other than his brother. "Hizashi, I'm glad I didn't need to look for you. I was just heading to the Hokage tower to inform him of our plan we've set forth"

Hizashi fell in step with his brother, and Hiashi spoke once more, "Hizashi there's a few flaws in our plan. Well, more than flaws, I should say dangers."

"What are the dangers of the plan, brother?" Asked Hizashi with slight concern. "Well, Hizashi, you know our clan. It's pride, as I've mentioned earlier, will be the death of it. Therefore, it is likely that the clan elders will launch an attack, starting an inner-clan civil war of such."

Hizashi's eyes bulged, "They wouldn't be that bold, right? I mean, to start a war now would be ludacris!"

"Exactly. Meaning we have time. I'd say, perhaps, 6 years tops. That is what I believe."

A sense of dread settled over the two. "That's not all, though."

Hizasi snapped his attention back to his brother, "What more could it be? It couldn't be any worse than a civil war."

"Of all the times you chose to be wrong, it happens to be now, brother!"

"Impossible! What could be worse than a civil war between your clan?!"

"War with other villages, of course."

Once again, Hizashi's eyes uncharacteristically bulged out of his head.

"Come again?"

"War with other countries, Hizashi."

Hizashi went slightly slack jawed at the comment, perplexed on how this would happen. "Hiashi, how would we ignite war with other countries exactly?"

"Think about it. Kumo has been wanting the Byakugan for how long exactly? Since the 2nd Raikage, or in other words, nearly 75 years. If they find out that not only that we have removed the caged bird seal, but that we'd started a civil war, they'd stop at nothing to retrieve any alive Hyuga's or their dead bodies. Then we have Iwa, who would without hesitation, try to kidnap our jinchuriki, our nephew, who also happens to be a Hyuga. And, now that I think about it, that would even motivate Kumo to multiply their efforts. It's all troublesome. I've also failed to mention that our own village would fall into chaos."

Hizashi simply widened his eyes at the revelation. It'd be another great Ninja war. Unless…

"I see, brother. This is quite the revelation. I assume we need to hurry to the Hokage?"

"Yes, we do. And quickly."

The two brother's began body flickering through the village, hurriedly trying to get to the Hokage's office. When they arrived, Hiashi knocked on the wooden door of the Hokage's office. The old man in the room beckoned the brothers to enter. As they did, they had serious looks on their faces. What Hiashi had to tell the man was detrimental to the survival of his clan. He wondered if he'd have much of a clan left. He had so many great ideas for his clan, would he even be able to put them to use?

"Have a seat, Hiashi, Hizashi. Something seems to trouble you. Is that perhaps why you're here?"

"Yes, Hokage Sama. We have important news to tell you. One that might be a danger to the village we both love and protect."

The old man nearly dropped the pipe he'd been smoking out of. The hell did he just here?

"Please elaborate."

Hiashi took in a slow deep breath, thinking about how exhausted from the day he was having. "Well…" He started. As he was explaining the ordeal, the 3rd Hokage went through many emotions. Shock, worry, concern, more shock, and even developed a slight migraine. "So, what you're telling me, Hiashi, is that there could possibly be a civil war inside the village. A civil war that happens to be between the strongest clan in the village. Not only this, but once Iwa and Kumo, our rivals for power since the very beginning, may come for Naruto, who just happens to be a Hyuga and contain the ninetails. And that's not even the tip of the iceberg. We could lose our strongest clan and its bodies, revealing all of the secrets of the Hyuga clan, allowing studies of the Byakugan. And the ones alive will become baby making factories? All because you removed a seal that, I believe, should've been outlawed long ago." The Hokage took an extremely long drag of his pipe. He was truly getting to be too old for such troublesome things. "How long do you reckon it will take before this civil war starts?"

"Approximately 6 or 7 years, Hokage Sama. And the invasion of Iwa and Kumo would most likely happen months after." Hiashi said, answering the question he was sure was going to come up eventually.

"And what are your plans to counter this?" Asked the Sandaime.

"Um, I, uh." Hiashi sputtered uncharacteristically. "You have none, by the look of embarrassment on your face." Said Hiruzen, smacking his forehead in the process. "You're right, Hokage Sama, I haven't a clue as to what to do about this matter. This is, well, to say the least, above my pay grade." Hizashi sweat dropped and Hiruzen slammed his head on his desk where there was printed "stress remover." "I see." Said Hiruzen. I'll have Shikaku Nara work on something. Besides, he's a better strategizer than I am." Hiruzen sighed "I'll make this information a S class secret so that your clan doesn't look vulnerable. You may take your leave."

Hiashi and Hizashi bowed deeply, immediately accepting the chance to go home and relax. Today has been a long day. When they dispersed in a flutter of leaves, the Hokage flared his chakra a bit. In doing this, he summoned an Anbu member with the mask that had a similar look as a dog. "Inu, please retrieve Shikaku Nara." "Yes, Hokage Sama." Said the Anbu, leaving without a trace. A second later, a tall lazy looking man appeared in the office. He was in the middle of his clan's trademark word, "troublesome," when he appeared before the Hokage. "You needed me, Hokage Sama." Hiruzen nodded and signaled for the Nara man to sit. "This is going to take awhile, so get comfy." Said Hiruzen.

As Hiruzen broke down the situation, Shikaku's face portrayed no emotion. Well, excluding boredom. When Hiruzen finished, Shikaku came to a horrifying conclusion. "You.. You want me to work on a solution, don't you." He said with narrowed eyes, staring the old Hokage down. After a moment, he visibly relaxed. "Fine, fine. I'll do it. Well, it's not much work considering what the situation is. You can bet your rats ass that the Hyuga clan isn't relinquishing their pride. There's no way they're going to take this sitting down. They'll attempt to eliminate the entire branch family. Seeing as the Hyuga clan is made up of 300 members, it'll be a rather big battle. Civilians would get hurt and so would any ninja who attempt to get involved."

"What're you getting at, Shikaku?"

"Well there's two clear options. Eliminate the entire Hyuga clan, or suffer through the civil war and other wars to come with a half-stable village." Hirzuen's eyes widened. "You're kidding? You're talking about eliminating the entire Hyuga clan!"

"Precisely. Please, if you have another option or even a better one, then tell me."

"Shikaku, do you know what this would do to the village? The Hyuga is our strongest clan."

"Yes. However, the Uchiha will replace them and the Auburame will rival the Uchiha if we allow more freedom in the village. It's, for a lack of better, a double edged blade. On one end, we lose the Hyuga clan, and on the other, we allow the Uchiha and Auburame for free reign in the village; meaning more training grounds, more library access, etc."

The Hokage thought this over, he was stuck, he was truly at a loss as to what he should do. Shikaku was right, right about everything. Now, as Hokage, he'd have to make a decision. This was his responsibility, and he'd be damned if he allowed for his own village to be destroyed.

"I'll give it exactly 5 and a half years. Then, and only then will I make my decision. Until that day, I need you to come up with any and every scenario that could take place. Including those in which we do not have to exterminate the Hyuga clan. I want this decision to be well thought out and prepared for. Now, get to it, Shikaku!"

"Yes, Hokage Sama!" Said Shikaku, missing the usual bored tone in his voice which had been replaced with a seriousness rarely seen within the Nara clan.

Hiruzen sat in his seat rethinking his life. He was, as he realized once more, getting entirely too old for the responsibility of being Hokage. His strength, though still Kage level, had been deteriorating along with his ever aging body. This, however, was not the time to announce a new successor. It was the most important time, perhaps, in village history. Hopefully, he thought, I can handle this in a way you would, Tobirama Sensei. That thought sparked inspiration, how would Tobirama Sensei do this? He allowed himself to drown in his own musings.

Days Later

In the home of Hiasi Hyuga and Hitori Hyuga lies a crying and screaming baby. "How can he be hungry so soon after eating?! It's only been twenty minutes!" Exclaimed/asked a confused and bewildered Hiashi. He had never seen a baby, especially this young, eat so much. It had drank all of the milk and formula, eaten all the baby food and somehow, managed to eat even more after all of that.

Despite the fact that his clan was at risk of a civil war in the next 5 or 6 years give or take, Hiashi wanted all of his children, including nephews, to have as normal of a life as possible. His wife had been months pregnant, awaiting a daughter in the next 5 weeks. Unbeknownst to Hiashi, Hitori had fallen ill to a disease that almost guaranteed death. She kept this a secret knowing just how much stress had befallen on her husband. She loved him greatly and did not want to spoil her last moments with him and her makeshift family by being depressed. She was going to live a happy life until she no longer had life in her. And she'd sure as hell not allow her husband to mourn over her before she even left this Earth.

That being said, she was currently attempting to gather every food item possible to be consumed by a baby, and give it all to the fussing boy in her home. Ever since she received Naruto, it was almost as if it were own. Her own son. Her own baby. Unfortunately, this baby ate more food than most toddlers, and that wasn't even the worst of it. Naruto Hyuga was a crier. He cried so much, fussed so much, whined so much. It was slowly but surely driving her insane. Nonetheless, she was extremely happy.

Hiashi had brung what little food he could gather for Naruto. As his wife fed the baby, he looked on in admiration. She would no doubt be a great mother to their soon-to-be born child. He was absolutely ecstatic to have a kid of his own. Both of his brothers had already had children and he was the only one left childless. Though he loved Naruto and Neji, he wanted a child he could call his offspring. That being said, he'd prefer a boy over a girl, but he would make due with what he was going to have.

Looking at this scene made his problems feel small and almost irrelevant. He wished he could live this peaceful for the rest of his days, but soon pushed that thought out of his mind. It was impossible. He'd soon find out just how impossible that is.

Day of Hitori's Birth

It was 5 o'clock in the afternoon, a sort of cozy ambience lurking in the walls of Konohagakure no Sato. In one certain hospital room lies a pale eyed, black haired woman. She was in immense pain as she took part in the beautiful thing called birth. She yelled for hours on end, wishing for the baby to finally come out. She did not for one minute like the pain of birth but knew it'd soon be worth it. As she made her final push, she smiled a happy smile with a hint of sadness.

"Wow. She's beautiful!" Said the midwife who'd assisted Hitori during the birth. Although terrified by the process, Hiashi was smiling warmly at the newborn that had just breathed in her first breath. Hitori called Hiashi over to herself, wishing to finally tell him her best kept secret. "Hiashi please, come here." She said weakly. "Yes, Hitori?" "There's something important I must tell you."

Hiashi's face showed that of a concerned face. "Go on." He said, hoping it was nothing too serious. "I… I have fallen ill. I've been nearing my death for six months now and it's incurable. I haven't told you because I didn't want you to mourn over me. I need you to take care of Hinata Chan and Naruto Chan. Please, Hiashi, do this for me."

Hiashi's eyes widened with a few tears protruding from them. "No, Hitori, you can't be serious, right?? You can't die, we haven't gotten the chance to raise our children yet! You can't leave us like this, Hitori!"

Hitori smiled grimly. "I'm sorry, husband. I love you. Please never forget me.." As she drew her last breath, the nurses in the room quickly began doing protocol for death while giving birth. They hastily removed Hitori from the room before Hiashi could let out another word. After they had left, Hiashi, still in the room, had broken down; crying tears of anguish and sadness. Why! Why'd she have to leave? Why'd she have to die?! As Hiashi cried, another came into the room he'd been in. "Hiashi Sama, I am sorry for your loss. We must clear the room, so please, if you could, follow me." Hiashi picked himself up, broken in ways he couldn't understand . Pain he hadn't felt since his brother died. Unimaginable anguish and grief washed over him.

As he walked into the main section of the hospital, the same nurse walked up to him. "Would you wish to see your daughter?" Hiashi nodded, not trusting himself to speak at the moment. "Right this way, Hiashi Sama."

Following the lady, Hiashi walked rather slowly with his head down, having no energy to even pick it up. The sad smile on his wife's face had burned as if branded to his memory. Following the nurse, he walked into a room full of newborns, week old babies, even some month old babies who were born prematurely. Looking up for the first time he saw a tag with the name "Hinata Hyuga" on it. He almost didn't want to look at the carbon copy of his late wife.

He steeled himself, picking up the wrapped up crying bundle of innocence. He looked her in her face and it almost melted the man's heart. The same look his wife always had. The look that made the world and his problems look so small. This, in his opinion, was the face of an angel. An angel that had graced the face of this Earth with her peaceful presence.

As Hiashi snapped himself out of his daze, the nurse had asked him to put the baby back down. It was still a few days before he could take it. Reluctantly, he complied, laying the baby down back in its hospital cradle and smiled warmly. He'd be the best dad he could be. No matter what.

One Hiruzen Sarutobi watched on through the crystal ball his sensei, the Nidaime, had made. It was a special jutsu that could cover every square inch of the village allowing the user to view said village through a crystal ball. Sarutobi was happy yet sad for his late successor's brother. He'd been through a lot already. He mused to himself, it's only going to get worse from here, Hiashi San. I'm sorry Minato for what I am going to do is against everything you lived for. Please find it in you to forgive me…"

A/N: You've made it to the end! Sorry if this Author's note runs a bit long there's a few things I'd like to adress. One, I have not given up on the other story. I just wanted to use this one as a way to get better at writing. I'm actually starting to like this one a little more than the other. Instead of jumping straight into things, I'm learning to take my time and actually develop ideas.

Anyway, I've tried using different vocabulary as well to interest you as readers. Please review! It means so much to me and it motivates me to keep going. Stick around for upcoming chapters! jsboredfr, OUT!
