AN: Since it has been awhile since my last Unikitty x Puppycorn story, I decided to write this new Unikitty story that takes place in an alternate universe where Unikitty and Puppycorn meet each other for the first time! Anyway, I hope you would enjoy my new AU story!

Chapter 1

Meeting the Princess

The Unikingdom was the happiest place anyone could possibly live at! Here, lived Puppycorn, along with his guardian/adoptive brother, Hawkodile. For years, Hawkodile has been the bodyguard of Unikitty, the princess of the Unikingdom.

Throughout the years, Puppycorn has always wondered what it was like to stay at a castle. He always begged Hawkodile to let him come with him, but Hawkodile would always tell Puppycorn that he was too young and left him at home with a babysitter. This went on until Puppycorn reached his teens and was finally old enough to go with Hawkodile to the castle.

As the sun rose, Puppycorn opened his eyes and excitedly leapt from his bed, knowing that today was the day he would be visiting the castle for the first time. He soon got ready as he put on a brown vest before running downstairs and eating breakfast with Hawkodile.

"Looks like you're ready to see the castle!" Hawkodile commented, noticing how excited Puppycorn is.

"Of course I am! Thanks for bringing me to the castle, Hawkodile! This is the most exciting day of my life!" Puppycorn exclaimed before he tried eating his breakfast as quickly as possible.

"Now listen, champ! I know that you are excited, but don't forget that you are about to meet the princess and you need to be on your best behavior! Let's be honest. You aren't exactly the best when it comes to manners." Hawkodile explained.

"What are you talking about?" Puppycorn asked as he looked up at Hawkodile with food all over his face, proving Hawkodile's point.

Hawkodile sighed. "Look, today is going to be really important and I need you to behave. I would be having a meeting with the grown ups in the castle lab."

At that moment, Puppycorn stopped eating for a second before facing Hawkodile with an amused smirk. "Oh, I get it! You only want to go to the castle so you can see Dr. Fox!" Puppycorn teased, already aware of Hawkodile's crush on the castle's royal scientist.

Hawkodile blushed "Wh-What? That's not true! I mean, Dr. Fox is great, but this is strictly royal business! Are you ready to leave now?" Hawkodile asked, wanting to get out of this awkward conversation.

"Yeah! Let's go!" Puppycorn exclaimed.

With that, Puppycorn and Hawkodile stood up from their seats as they made their way to the castle. While the two of them headed over to the castle, the rest of the castle's residence go ready for their arrival.

No one was more excited than the princess of the Unikingdom herself, Princess Unikitty. She hurried down the hall in a royal blue dress, excited to meet her new guest. Before long, Unikitty made her way to the throne room where she was greeted by her royal adviser and royal scientist.

"Hi, Richard! Hi, Dr. Fox!" Unikitty waved to her friends.

"Hi, Unikitty!" Dr. Fox waved back. "Are you ready to meet Hawkodile's adoptive brother?"

"I sure am! I am so excited to make a new friend!" Unikitty exclaimed.

"While I am glad that you are excited, Princess, just remember that you still have your royal duties, so don't let this new friend distract you too much." Richard reminded Unikitty.

With a dismissive wave of her paw, Unikitty replied, "Aw, relax, Richard! I'll get to my responsibilities as soon as I meet my new friend!"

It wasn't long before Unikitty and the others heard footsteps walking upstairs. That was when Richard knew that Hawkodile arrived, so he left the throne room to greet Hawkodile and Puppycorn.

As he made his way through the castle, Puppycorn gazed in awe. There were all kinds of fancy halls and hundreds of rooms. He couldn't believe that Hawkodile had been protecting the princess at a wonderful castle like this all these years! It wasn't long before Hawkodile led Puppycorn to the end of the hallway, where they met up with Richard.

"There you are, Hawkodile. I'm guessing that this is Puppycorn." Richard guessed as he brought his attention to the dog.

"That's me!" Puppycorn smile before he noticed something on his cheek. "Oops! Missed a piece of bacon!" Puppycorn then licked his cheek with his tongue before swallowing the piece of bacon in one gulp.

Upon meeting the boy for the first time, Richard just knew that Hawkodile didn't teach him any manners. He could only hope that Puppycorn would be respectful when he meets the princess.

"Um, yes. It is nice to meet you." Richard said before turning to Hawkodile. "Remember, Hawkodile. Puppycorn is about to me the princess. I hope he remembers his manners."

"I hope so too." Hawkodile muttered under his breath.

Once they were ready, Richard led Puppycorn and Hawkodile in the throne room. Puppycorn looked around the throne room and was so distracted he didn't notice the princess in front of her. Before long, Puppycorn took one look at the princess as his eyes widened in surprise. The dog soon blushed as he couldn't help but think that the pink cat looked kind of cute.

"Welcome to the castle! It is really nice to meet-"

This time, it was Unikitty's turn too blush. As she stared at Puppycorn for the first time, she couldn't keep her eyes off him. The two of them stared at each other in silence before Unikitty broke the silence.

"Um, it is nice to meet you!"

"Oh, it's nice to meet you too, Your Highness!" Puppycorn replied with a nervous smile.

Seeing that the princess's friendship with Puppycorn was going nowhere, Richard decided to move along and get Unikitty back to her royal responsibilities.

"Well, now that you two have met, I think it is time that you get back tho your responsibilities, Princess!"

"Um, sure, Richard." Unikitty walked away while still keeping her attention on Puppycorn.

As Unikitty left, Puppycorn waved goodbye with a smile before Unikitty waved back. Before long, Hawkodile noticed Puppycorn's smile.

"Looks like you are getting along with the princess already!" Hawkodile commented.

"Uh, yeah! She seems really nice!" Puppycorn replied.

Hawkodile nodded in agreement. "She sure is champ! Now let's show you around the rest of the castle!"

So far, today has been amazing for Puppycorn! Not only did he visit the castle for the first time, but he also got to meet the princess! Even though they had only just met, Unikitty and Puppycorn hope that they would get another chance to spend time together.
