It was a very sunny day in Royal Woods, however it was also a very special day, because the Louds are going on a vacation.
"Ready for another Loud family vacation?", Mr Loud said, and the kids just gave their mixed opinions on the subject.
"Well, don't whine!", Mrs Loud said, "It will be a fabulous vacation.". "Yeah,", Lynn Jr said, "If you're Lucy!". It was Lucy's turn to pick the perfect vacation spot, and unfortunately, she chose the legendary Transylvania.
"Why do we have to go to a spooky place?", Leni asked. "It's not that spooky!", Lucy said, "It would serve as a great bonding experience between the alive and the dead.".
"Well,", Lola said, "Death is one thing that I don't like about this vacation!". "Cheer up,", Lincoln said, "It'll be fun!". "For you two that is!", Lola continued.
"Alright, I've set the GPS, and we're ready to go!", Lisa said. "This'll be the worst vacation ever.", Lori said, to which some of her siblings, agreed with her. However, Lucy and Lincoln are very excited.
"Well, we're halfway there.", Lisa said, looking at a map of the whole world. "Alright, you just continue east and then go north a little.", she continued, "And we'll reach Romania.".
"I thought we're going to Transylvania!", Leni screamed, to which the other all stared at her. "You idiot,", Lisa said, "Transylvania is a regional area in Romania.".
"Oh, that makes sense.", Leni said, in satisfaction. Lisa was also looking through Lori's phone, and researched a lot of things about Transylvania.
"It's says that Transylvania was a region within the country of Romania, which was said to be from Hungary...", Lisa reads, but when interrupted when Lincoln said, "Boring.". "Well then, what would you like to hear?", Lisa said, and Lincoln wanted to hear about the vampires.
"Vampires aren't real!", Lori said, however Lisa said, "Actually, in popular culture, many people thought that vampires live in Transylvania, because of a book I read called 'Dracula', to which that very same vampire lives there,", Lisa said, which caused everyone to be in a state of shock.
"Lucy, did you just book a vacation to the home of one of the scariest monsters of all time?!?!", Lola said, and unfortunately Lincoln told every that she did.
"How could you!", Lola said, grasping onto Lucy's dress. "I just booked a vacation, no big deal.", Lucy said, however it was a big deal to everyone. "Calm down everyone!", Mr Loud said, "There's no such thing as vampires. And besides, the castle of Transylvania is now a museum. Right, Lisa?".
"Exactly, Father.", Lisa said, as she explained that vampires only appear in mythology, and that the castle was a museum for art and furniture.
"Well, that's good,", Luna said, however Lucy and Lincoln are itching to see a real vampire up close and personal.
When the Louds did reach Transylvania, they have gotten brochures from a tour guide. As they went on the tour, Lucy and Lincoln noticed something very odd about the man.
The man was wearing a large sunhat, and a poncho, which makes Lucy and Lincoln feel confused about. However, the other members of the family didn't even care. "You notice something off?", Lincoln asked, and Lucy thought they saw a vampire, however they decided to be quiet.
"Now.", the mystery man said, "This here is Bran Castle. Also known as...,". "Dracula's Castle.", Lucy and Lincoln said, to which the man said that the two are so smart.
Eventually, the tour was over, and Lincoln and his family decided to go to sleep, and unfortunately, Lincoln and Lucy weren't paying attention, and got separated.
"Uh, Lucy?", Lincoln said with fear. "What?", Lucy asked, and Lincoln told his younger sister that their family has left without them. "Well, we are not lost.", Lucy said, "We're just in the middle of Transylvania. So I think we should go explore the forest back there.".
"What?!", Lincoln said, "I don't wanna be out in the forest all night, I wanna go back to Vanzilla!". Lucy however said, "It's just a little stroll, and then we'll go back.".
However, what they don't know, is that Mr Loud is actually driving back home, leaving Lincoln and Lucy stranded. "Wait, what's that noise?", Lincoln asked, and he and Lucy soon noticed that Vanzilla is driving away.
"Wait! Come back!", Lincoln said, and Lucy just grabbed Lincoln's shirt and pulled him back. "Just leave them.", Lucy said, "They'll come back sooner or later.". "Well, that is,", Lincoln said, "If they do realize that we're stranded in a region you chose for a vacation!".
Lucy soon walks off, and Lincoln said, "Hey, where are you going? Come back!".
Now, Lucy and Lincoln are walking through the forest, with Lucy leading her brother.
"Uh, Lucy, are you sure you know where you're going?", Lincoln said, as he follows his younger sister. "Trust me, I have a sense of direction.", Lucy said, as Lincoln pulled out his phone, and noticed the time which was midnight, and his battery was running low.
"We've got no signal!", Lincoln said, as Lucy said, "Just trust me! We'll be fine without any technology.". Lucy and Lincoln just kept walking, and eventually they decided to stop by a tree.
"Lucy, I don't think that your sense of direction is accurate.", Lincoln criticized. "It's not that.", Lucy said, "I'm just realizing that we're going around in circles.". "That means, we're lost!", Lincoln shouted.
"Who's lost?", a voice said, which spooked Lincoln, however Lucy didn't get started. "Who said that?", Lincoln said, hiding behind her younger sister, with fear.
"I think it was that bat.", Lucy said, showing Lincoln where the bat was hanging. "Are you two humans?", the bat asked, and Lincoln said, "Yeah, we're both humans.".
"Wonderful!", the bat said, before it transformed into a humanoid. "A vampire!", Lincoln screamed, "Go away! Go away! You might suck our blood!". "Why would I do that?", the vampire asked, which caused the timid Lincoln to get a little bit braver.
"Because, don't vampires normally suck blood, and turn into bats?", Lincoln asked. "I don't even drick blood.", the vampire said, "However, I can turn into a bat.".
"Besides, you guys are all alone.", the vampire said, to which the two kids said that they are lost, to which mostly Lincoln said that Lucy got them lost in the first place. The vampire soon introduced herself as Mavis, and Lincoln and Lucy soon introduced themselves to her.
"Well, nice to meet you.", Mavis said, "But, unfortunately, I don't think you should be here.", saying that her father is coming to find her soon, so she told them to hide in a bush. "Why do we have to hide?", Lincoln whispered, to which Mavis told them to keep quiet.
"Mavey Wavey,", another voice said, "What are you doing near the human village?", to which Mavis said, "Uh... nothing Dad?". "You know better to go out to the human village.", he continued, "I need you to come back home!".
The male vampire soon turned into a bat, and flew off. Lincoln and Lucy soon popped out from the bush, and asked Mavis what does the other vampire mean by 'human village'.
"Not only that!", Lincoln said, "That guy looks a lot familiar.". "Are you talking about my dad?", Mavis said, to which she told Lucy and Lincoln that she was the daughter of the legendary Dracula. When Lucy and Lincoln heard this, they were surprised, as they really saw a vampire.
"The reason I want you to hide, is that if my father sees you.", Mavis explained, "He might do something horrible to you two.". "Well, I'm not scared of him.", Lucy said, however Lincoln was a bit terrified.
"Maybe you two better come with me, back to the hotel.", Mavis suggested, to which both kids we're shocked. "There's a hotel around here!", Lincoln asked, and Lucy said, "Well, since we've gotten lost, I'd say its better safe than sorry to at this hotel.".
"Well then,", Mavis said, as she transformed into a bat, "Hang on.". Using her feet, she grabbed onto both Lucy and Lincoln's hair, and lifted them off the ground. "Next stop: Hotel Transylvania!", she said, as Lincoln said, "Watch the hair.".
