Lights were in every direction in and the only sound that could be heard was a booming...
That was all the little red-haired boy with numerous injuries could hear as he frantically searched for somewhere to hide.
His pursuers had first started chasing him after he had snagged an apple from someone who wanted him to pay two thousand ryo for it; instead, The boy left, came back, and took it while the shopkeeper was looking away.
Well, others were apparently looking and took him stealing an APPLE as an excuse to chase him down and beat him. They had grabbed whatever was nearest to them and chased him.
That was four hours ago.
Around two hours in the mob caught up to him and one of them chucked a shattered bottle into his leg and the boy tumbled over and there started an hour of agony.
They slashed him, they bludgeoned him, they even tied a rope around his neck. The only reason he had escaped was because his terrified mind mind went wild and he snapped his head back and hit the dude choking him right in the dick.
That caused every man in the mob to freeze in phontom pain and sympathy and every woman to pause, giving the boy just enough time to take the rope off and run once again.
So another our later and the boy knew he was starting to slow down. The pain was getting too unbearable and even though he knew tge streets of the Hidden Leaf's red light district like the back of his hand, there was nowhere he could think to go to and his apartment was way to far away.
Even if managed to get to his apartment they'd just bust down the door like others had done before.
So with no other option the red head slid into an alleyway and turned to face the people chasing him, doing the best he could to ignore the pain.
The boy wasn't ready to die especially when he would be starting the academy in a week. Slowly the mob filtered into the alley and the man whose balls were assaulted by the redhead's head stood at the front.
"We finally caught up to you demon brat." The man said. The boy stood still. "What, shitting y-"
"Shut up and come at me fatso!" The boy interupted as he ran at the mob. The man growled before cocking his fist back before his fist tripled in size and punched the boy in the stomach.
The boy flew to the end of the alley and left a crater in the wall before slinking down. The mob surrounded him. The boy attempted to get up as blood trailed down the side of his mouth.
"That's all ya got?" The boy said as he panted heavily. "Barely felt a thing." The boy said through gritted teeth as he got into a basic fighting stance.
The mob laughed at the boy. "Stop acting tough, demon brat," a woman said. The red-headed boy shouted back, "The name's Naruto, old hag!" He once again ran at the mob.
Only to get punched in the face by the same fat man. 'I never learn my lesson do I?' Naruto thought as he spun mid-air and slowly lost consciousness.
Naruto sat up in a dark corridor with water up to his ankles. "Damn it, where am I?" Naruto said as he stood.
He looked up and saw a giant red gate with a tag with a seal drawn on it. "The hell?" Naruto said as he looked into the cage.
"So my jailer finally comes to visit me." A voice boomed from in the cage. As the voice spoke Naruto froze as his breath caught in his throat, and his heart beat could clearly be heard.
And all of a sudden, he was back to normal. Inside the cage, a red eye opened before the head it was in and the body the head was attached to rose up, revealing a giant orange fox with nine tails, rabbit-like ears, and humanoid limbs.
"Ha! You're pathetic!" The being Naruto recognized as the infamous nine-tailed fox yelled. In an instant, fear was replaced with anger and Naruto kicked the cage.
"Hey, I may be pathetic but at least I'm not stuck in a five year old!" The enraged redhead yelled.
"I'm surprised that small brain of yours can recognize I'm stuck I'm here." The fox said making Naruto even madder. "Hey, I can only get demon brat and fox boy so many times!" Naruto yelled as he kicked the cage again.
"Sure, whatever. It doesn't change how pathetic your are." The Nine-tails said. "So what's your point?" Naruto asked as he sat down infront of the cage.
"Before I ask, are you content to be the village punching bag for th rest of your life?" The ancient chakra entity asked.
"What kind of a question is that, OF COURSE NOT!" Naruto answered. "Good. no jinchuriki of mine is gonna be such a pathetic weakling. If you want some payback then listen up!" The fox began.
Naruto was going to ask what jinchuriki meant but the fox caught his attention with getting payback. "If you want some payback all you need to do is piss them off. I've seen you pranks them and while that gets them angry them seeing you thrive would piss them off to an enormous extent." The fox said.
"Seems good so far but that sounds kind of basic." Naruto stated as he rested his head in his hand. An evil smile crossed the fox's face.
"You want to be a shinobi right?" The fox asked.
"Yeah." Naruto answered.
"What would piss the villagers off more than you becoming the leader of the village?" The fox asked.
The same smile that the fox had spread across Naruto's face. "I like how you think but that's gonna be very difficult." Naruto said in foe woe though he knew the nine-tails would probably have an answer.
"Well it's lucky for us that not only do you have a habit of sneaking into stores but also stealing from vendors that overcharge you. It's also lucky for us that the Village Hidden in the Leaves has a library of all things ninja." The fox said with an obvious point.
"So you're saying that me, an innocent five year old, sneak into said library and steal enough material to get ahead of other academy students? I'm in." Naruto said as he leaned forward.
"Ha, ha, ha! This is going to be the most fun I've had in over a thousand years!" The fox said as Naruto slowly woke up.
