Naga: Welcome, renowned Hero of Time.

Link:...

Naga: Do not fear, Hero. You are in no danger here. Please, grace me with your name.

Link: ...

Naga: I sense your frustration. May I ask what ails you?

Link: Tell me who you are... Tell me where I am.

Naga: As I said, there is no need to be so wary. I am Naga, a divine dragon. Most of mankind believe me to be a god of the land. Though that isn't the truth, it does aptly convey the power and influence that I possess.

Link: ...

Naga: As for where? We are currently in one of the many gates to the outrealms. An avenue between foreign worlds and timelines, both past and future. Have you heard of such a thing in your home world?

Link: ...What does the god of a foreign world want with me? The Sage of Light... Rauru... Does he have something to do with this?

Naga: I understand your confusion, Hero of Time, but I ask that you calm yourself. I have not contacted any beings from your home world. Only I am responsible for bringing you here.

Link: ...Why?

Naga: To aid my home world. My people will soon face an unimaginable threat that could mean the end for them all. As I am unable to aid them myself, I reached out to a number of distinguished warriors from foreign lands that could fight alongside mankind and avert their impending extinction.

Link: *sigh* These other 'warriors'... How many agreed to help?

Naga: None. I sought out leaders and champions that, I believed, possessed unparalleled skill and the desire to save those in need, no matter the danger. However, they were not willing to risk their lives for a world that they did not inhabit.

Link: ...It's true that I saved Hyrule from a great evil... I don't want to leave your people to this fate either... but what am I supposed to say? I wasn't prepared to risk my life when I was called upon before, and now... I learn that there are also worlds separate from my own that, without my help, could be wiped out...

Naga: Evil will always persist in some form, on some scale. No matter the world or time period, suffering will be found whether you seek it out or attempt to divert your eyes. And so, it is inevitable that a hero like you would face this decision time after time.

Link: I... understand, but...

Naga: The question you must ask yourself will remain constant as well: What is worth fighting for?

Link: Of course saving your people would be worth it, it's just... I only just saved Hyrule... Zelda promised that she would send me back to my original time so that I could regain the peaceful years that I had lost... I always knew that my skills would be needed again at some point... I wasn't expecting it to be so soon though.

Naga: As with the other souls I reached out to, Hero of Time, I will not force you to comply. The choice to answer my call is yours alone.

Link: ...

Naga: Will you lend us your strength?

Link: ...Fine... I will. I can't turn a blind eye to a situation like this...and I hate that I can't.

Naga: That is wonderful news. Thank you, Hero of Time. The legend of your courageousness is not unfounded.

Link: ...It's Link... My name.

Naga: Link...Shall I answer any questions you might have before your departure? Inquiries on the nature of this world? Information on the people of interest?

Link: Excuse my... bluntness...but I'd prefer if we get this over with... As soon as possible.

Naga: As you wish, Link.

?: ...ey... Can y-...me...

Link: ...Hmm?...

Chrom: Good, you're awake. Are you injured? Can you stand?

Link: I... I'm fine...

Lissa: Wow! What are the odds of finding not just one, but two people passed out in a field like this?!

Frederick: Tch... Look at this one, dressed even stranger than the last. Milord, do not get too close to him. I may have been willing to give this first mystery wanderer the benefit of the doubt, but now? The thought is laughable.

Robin: B-but... I don't even know this guy! I promise I'm not plotting anything!

Frederick: Even were I to believe you, you cannot answer for this man. Coming across even one unconscious-

Chrom: Enough already. Save it for later you two... Pardon me, sir, I realize you must be disoriented, but can you tell us how you ended up out here like this?

Link: ...

Lissa: ...Hey... are you sure you're all right?

Frederick: Milord, clearly you have noticed that he is armed, yes? For your safety, I insist we-

Link: ... I was brought here... to help...

Chrom: Brought here? By who?

Link: She called herself... Naga.

Chrom: ...Naga?... You can't be serious.

Robin: You know this 'Naga', Chrom? Is she someone important?

Chrom: More than simply important. She's-

Frederick: Hah! 'I was brought here by the gods themselves'! The more we press, the more nonsensical the story becomes!

Robin: ...'The gods themselves'?!

Link: The people of this world will face an unimaginable threat... impending extinction. I was summoned here to lend my aid.

Chrom: What?... Extinction? Naga told you this herself?

Link: Yes...

Frederick: Don't tell me you believe this load of rubbish, milord. Look at him! He is armed and dangerous, his clothing is odd, his situation is suspicious even without factoring in the last unconscious individual that we came across not only an hour ago. When asked to explain, he expects us to believe that supernatural forces are to blame! This is a farce and I would be an utter fool not to treat it as such.

Link: I don't expect you to believe me. I agree, you're right to distrust me... but I can only tell you what I know and hope I'm given a chance to prove myself.

Lissa: I mean... what if he's telling the truth, though? If there's a terrible disaster that Naga went out of her way to warn us about, then we might need his help, right?

Frederick: You must not allow fear to cloud your judgement, Princess. Think rationally... How likely is it that we have stumbled upon a messenger of Naga in an open field, hmm?

Lissa: F-Frederick! I always think rationally, thank you very much!

Link: It wasn't long ago that I saved my land from a great evil. The years that I deserved to spend with my friends in a world of peace... I'm sure that by coming here, I've sacrificed a good portion of that time... Again, I'm only asking for you all to give me a chance.

Chrom: Then, I will give you that chance.

Frederick: Milord! I-

Chrom: Frederick, please. We are willing to hear Robin out, yes? Then we should do the same for him. With your watchful eye, I trust we'll be safe should either of them try anything.

Robin: I know that I'm on thin ice too, but... I wouldn't feel right receiving your generosity if he is denied it. Our situations are so similar, after all.

Lissa: Yeah! C'mon, Frederick! Have a heart!

Frederick: Having a... 'heart'... is not the issue here. But, fine. I will acquiesce. I hope with all my might that your kindness will not come back to bite you, milord.

Link: ...Thank you all for your patience.

Chrom: Of course. For now, let's continue on our way. We can sort things out when we arrive at the capital.

A/N:

The Link in question that I write for this story is the Adult version from 'Ocarina of Time', if that wasn't already clear. I've never played Majora's Mask so, for this story, his experiences will only be based on OoT, at least for the early chapters.

The way I wish to write Link (quiet and shows more of his character through expressions and actions) isn't really possible for me since I'm writing these in the support conversation/story script style. I'd still prefer to do things this way, but hopefully anyone reading this doesn't mind my reliance on ellipses to compensate.

My plan is to do support conversations for all of Awakening's playable characters with Link. C through A supports for male characters and C through S for female characters. I plan on writing them in the order that's listed on the Fire Emblem Fandom Wiki, but I might diverge if I find it difficult to think up material for a certain character.

I'll probably get burnt out on this at some point, so don't be surprised if this never gets finished. I honestly forgot that Awakening had nearly 50 playable units, so that was a bit of a surprise to me.

It's been a few years since I played Awakening, so I'm trying to watch through the character's supports before I write them to catch myself up to speed. Still, I'll probably make some errors as far as the lore goes. Feel free to point anything like that out to me. I try to do my best when it comes to lore accuracy and grammar.
