Fodlan's Maelstrom: A Tale of War and Betrayal Prologue

Minato's POV

I was in my office as I had sent Jiraiya and Hiruzen to make an alliance with Suna. They would be back in about four days and I decided to focus on my paperwork as Kushina would be giving birth soon. The papers were slowly getting filled out until a knock was heard on my door. I then answered by talking to them.

''Come on in,'' I said as the door opened to reveal Danzo walking towards me. I knew he was a despicable human being but Hiruzen had vouched for him so I kept him until I could get a better advisor. Danzo slowly made his to my desk and began talking to me.

''Ah...lovely day Minato isn't it? I see that you're doing such a wonderful job. It takes me back to my days when...Hiruzen stole the hate from me.'' Danzo said as he gripped his cane and sent some of his killer intent towards me. I didn't flinch as I went into serious mode but he continued as if he had nothing to care about.

''He stole it from...and then he gave it to you. You are skilled but you have one flaw boy. You have emotions...like that worthless fool of a teacher you have. To top it all off, you entered a relationship with the village's weapon which is such an incompetent move. I wonder what would you do if something happened to her and your soon-to-be-born sons. What did you plan to call them again? Ah..yes, Naruto and Naoto, right?'' Danzo said condescendingly as I used my flying Raijin technique to get behind him with a kunai at his throat and ask him a question.

''Are you committing insubordination Danzo? By blackmailing me?'' I asked him neutrally as I kept my anger in check as he chuckled mirthlessly before he answered me.

''No Hokage-Sama, just asking some legitimate questions. Can you really protect them? The other villages know of the locations where she will give birth. Luckily for you, I already have taken measures against that. I have something far worse for you to get your position from you. You obey me or I will retract that without protection without telling you where they will attack.'' Danzo said as I flinched. He then shushined away and told me something before he exited my office.

''Don't take too long boy...the clock is ticking,'' Danzo said as he left. I then felt immense rage and sadness at what happened right now. I had to protect them but I decided on what to do. I needed Kushina to give birth as she was ready so her giving birth at home was a necessity. Then I would let her heal for about two days before I would warp her and the kids to a port town and force her to kill me without her knowing this. I then went to my secretary and told her I was done for the day and left to go home. Once I arrived I decided to yell out loud to make it sound like something good happened.

''I'm home and you won't guess what happened! Kakashi got himself a girlfriend!'' I said even though it wasn't true. Kushina stopped short of punching me before she processed the news and squealed happily as she hugged me and was bouncing up and down. Until she stopped like she ate a sour lemon. I could see her crotch getting rapidly wet as her water broke. She was giving birth as I began helping her fast rn. I strengthened her seal as she was pushing. I could see the heads of our boys as she screamed in pain. I saw them coming out and tearing her labia. Once they were born I finished strengthening the seal as she began holding them.

Our boys were healthy as they cried as we began wrapping them in blankets. I then asked her who was who to her about our sons.

''So who are Naruto and Naoto to you, my dear?'' I asked as she thought and said her piece.

''The one with whiskers is Naruto and the one with red tips in his hair and purple eyes like me is Naoto.'' She said as I nodded and we went to help the kids go to sleep. Later that night we went to sleep.

2 Days later

I disguised myself from head to toe. I had warped them discretely to the port town and decided to enact that plan. I then summoned a toad and told him to deliver this to Hiruzen. I could see Kushina wake up as I drew my blade and she reacted with her own Katana before she countered me and ask questions.

''Who are you? Where is Minato?'' She asked as I dodged her and told her something that hurt me to say but was needed to protect them.

''Six feet under. Your husband the yellow flash isn't so great without his Fuijutsu or he was overexaggerated in his skills.'' I said as she screamed angrily and yelled at me before she charged and impaled me in the chest. That's my girl I thought as I fell into the water and never showed her my face. She screamed as if I had left a letter under her pillow which she would find soon. My part was over and Danzo would be executed for this as I protected what mattered the most to me.

POV Change: Kushina's POV

I screamed as Minato-Kun couldn't be dead but I needed to sleep and the boys had awoken. I went to my boys first and cooed them to sleep even though I was sad. How?! How did this fucking happen?! I was too tired and I had to raise them so I went to sleep. When my head hit my pillow it felt weird. I then look underneath it and saw a letter addressed to me. I opened it and read it before I dropped it into the bed. Minato was that attacker. I grabbed the latter and began reading again to see if I had misread it only to make sure it wasn't true but it was sadly the truth.

''Kushina, if you're reading this then it means you killed me aka that disguised man. 4 days ago Danzo threatened me and I couldn't risk you and the boys' lives so I played ball. I also lied about Kakashi getting a girlfriend. It was part of my plan to make you give birth to foil Danzo's plan. I know you may never forgive me for this my habanero but I need you to do something.

Please go to that continent and start a new life. Free from the balance of Ninja. Raise our boys to be fine men.

PS: I'll be waiting for my punishment in the afterlife when it's your turn so no worries...I'm not running away.''

Minato Namikaze...you Husband''

I cried as I went to sleep. When I woke up I went to the sailor and asked him to get to that continent. The man looked at me and explained where we would be going.

''Alright lady, the continent is called Fodlan. A nice place that is now at peace. You'll do fine there. You wanna go there?'' he asked as I nodded and the ship set sail. This was the beginning of a new life for me and my sons.
