Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back for another story. This one about Halo. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Halo; Microsoft and a few others do.
"A team?" She asked as something was put on her desk. "Why? For what purpose, ma'am? We have plenty of agents." She also heard to which had a hand held up as she did so.
"Because of WHAT is at stake, Captain Osman." She stated to which there was a moment of silence. "We have a duty to humanity. We have something to fight their enemies with. There will be plenty of people who can't let it go." She added, brushing off her uniform.
Captain Serin Osman looked at Admiral Margaret Parangosky. The woman looked as unfazed as usual. She folded her heads, looking at 2 folders.
Both of whom were something that she was quite interested to when it came down to it. There was plenty of work to be done…. And only one breed of soldier could be considered worthy of answering such an issue.
"Who are they?" Osman questioned, raising an eyebrow as she did so. "You didn't say anything about Spartans, ma'am. I thought they didn't answer to ONI." Osman added to which Parangosky nodded.
"He doesn't, the good Colonel was the one who trained him." Parangosky put in. "Headhunters are something that plenty don't know about. You're talking about soldiers who are sent out on their lonesome, people who enjoy doing all sorts of nasty things to their enemies." Parangosky added, tenting her fingers over her chest.
The woman had her misgivings over the spartan program and what it came down to it. They were soldiers, the best of the entire military… And yet? You couldn't begin to unravel their minds, the terror that one went through to become what they were. Each one could be considered a monster for what they were.
"An II I can understand." Osman stated to which her mentor nodded. "How did you get a headhunter to join Kilo? Their lone wolves, they like it that way. You can't bring one to fight unless it requires a lot of killing." Osman added, pausing to let her mentor speak.
"Because Kilo's job involves something that's… Off the books." Parangosky stated to which he shook his head. "Don't think one is that bad, I have it on good authority this one will be different. He's being shipped to the Port Stanley as we speak. Don't judge yet, we need people willing to bend the rules, that's what spartan are for. To do the things normal men and women can't." Parangosky added, pausing to think.
(With Pelican Zeta 26)
The brute flopped onto the ground as he pulled out the knife that he had planted in its head.
"You get the intel?" He heard as he placed the knife in his sheathe. "Good, we have a ship to get to." The pilot said as he took a seat.
The spartan was clad in WAR MASTER armor, a protocol for Headhunters. He had customized it, however. It was something was part of his body in his mind. The crimson steel armor looked like it had been dunked in lava. He was quite alert, keeping the armor ready. He was a soldier, after all.
"She asked, didn't she?" The spartan questioned while he started to sit down. "Wouldn't pull me off mission unless its her." The spartan stated as he crossed his arms.
"Out of my hands." He heard and sat in his sat in his seat. "There's new work. They put in for you. I don't know what they want, but I do know they wanted the best." He heard, lowering his head.
He closed his eyes, his expression hidden by his helmet. If they wanted the best? They would have gotten another headhunter, not one who constantly hunted the enemy on his own terms. Most headhunters refused to acknowledge the war was over, they didn't care there was very little reason to fight.
Then again? There was very little not driving him besides the enemy. He still had a personality, though. That was more then most IIIs could claim to be.
"Another hunt, or something new?" He questioned as he rested his head on the wall. "Because last time? It was another hunt, you told me it wasn't anything like that." He put in as he looked down at the dead brute.
