"Sister... So, you have a twin sister." Vader baited him into anger, and it worked. He remembered the rush of emotions that came flooding into him. They powered his saber attacks that followed. He was too enraged to notice the screeches of his blade. He had once read about how the blades of the Sith would screech and hiss because they put their emotions into the blade; hate. They were shouting at him to stop. They begged and cried. But he didn't listen, not at first. It was their robotic hands that halted him from going any further.

He took in the sight of his father, leaning against the rail in the Emperor's thrown room, beaten. Obi- Wan had described him being more machine that man. Luke knew he would turn out the same if not worse if he would have continued on. But he didn't.

His whole life he admired his father. Even if he never knew much about him, the thought of his father made him smile as a boy. He wanted nothing more than to be just like him. Yet now, he realizes that he must be wiser in this moment of temptation.

"You've lost your highness." Luke pressed the stub on his saber and tossed the hilt to the side. He prepared himself for what was to come.

"Young fool." Palpatine spat. Vader watched as his son writhed in pain.

The electricity ran through his entire body. It felt as if he was being set on fire over and over again. His muscles tightening as if they were going to melt and explode. When he thought it was over he was met with more bursts of lightning every time.

"You will die." Palpatine inched closer towards the scene.

He didn't care. If he could turn his father back it would all be worth it. He had to try. And even if he didn't at least he gave it a shot.

Suddenly he heard a loud "No!" come from his father. The electricity paused and he pulled himself up with the railing. He leaned into it, his vision very cloudy. He looked straight ahead at the sight of scene. Everything was blurry and coming into focus but he could make out a figure picking up another above his head and tossing him over the edge of the railing. Blue sparkling light filled the room, nearly blinding him even more.

The imperials were too busy and concerned with their own survival to notice the most wanted figure in the galaxy aiding their commanding boss to a nearby shuttle. Both of them fell on the shuttle's ramp; exhausted. Vader's suite had been badly damaged from Palpatine's Sith lightening. The Emporor had given him the poorly outdated cybernetic equipment on purpose in the event that such betrayal occurred. His suit was fried, and there was no time to get him any sort of medical attention right now. If Anakin was going to live they first needed to make it imperative to get off this base. Time was running out for him to be with his father and he knew that, he just didn't want to believe it.

"Help me take this mask off." Vader respirator was failing. If he kept it on maybe it'd keep him alive just long enough for them to get him medical attention once they regrouped with the fleet.

"But you'll die."

"Let me look in you with my own eyes." Vader requested. Luke did as he was told and removed his helmet. He nearly burst into tears on the spot. He could see his own features in the man's face. It was one of the happiest moment's in his life, seeing his own father face to face. There was nothing but love and admiration for this side of his father. For the first time in years he felt like a boy again.

"Now go my son, leave me." Anakin wheezed.

"No, I won't leave you here. I've got to save you!" Luke replied earnestly.

"You already have Luke. You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right." Anakin gave the young man a loving smile. Luke tightened his grip on his shoulders.

It all happened so quick. As the last words left his lips so did his energy. He listened to his father exhale his last breath and his body sunk back and rested on the shuttle ramp. His eyes closed and his body became lifeless.

Luke took in the sight of the corpse, his mind struggled to take it all in. He felt everything and nothing at once. All he could do in the moment was hang his head low and sob.

"Father please, wake up! You can't go yet... I've waited so long, dreamt and hoped for so long! It isn't fair!" He wept angrily. "Please." He begged weakly as if he were a hopeless child. The anger went away as he looked up to see dis father still lying there. Nothing. Nothing but his own tears and regrets.

On Endor, he remembers so clearly carrying the body to the fire site in his arms. He was heavier than he looked. He didn't have the strength to light the fire, so Leia volunteered before leaving him be.

His reoccurring experiences sent him into panic and tears every time he slipped away into a state of unconsciousness. He tried to keep himself up most nights. It's all he ever saw in the rare occasions that he was able to fall asleep. He found the best way to deal with it was to just smile through it and act as if it never bothered him.

He shop up in his bed, his eyes darting and observing the room. He buried his face in his arms, breathing rapidly trying to calm himself down. After a few minutes of winding down he got dressed and made himself a hot cup of tea. He grabbed his mug and two pieces of fruit the Ewoks had given him when he first arrived and walked out of his hut. He sat on the edge of the wooden bridge that linked the whole village of Ewoks and huts together and took in the beautiful view.

Just before he took a bite of his fruit a young Ewok approached him, eying the food and clearly wanted some. Luke smiled at the child, handing him the fruit. "There you go." He chuckled as the Ewok thanked him joyfully with a hug and continued strolling through the village. He munched on his other peice of fruit and enjoyed the peace.

That peace didn't last for long before he felt something hit the back of his skull. He spun his body around to see Leia had tossed another round fruit at him.

"You we're supposed to catch that with your force magic." She teased.

"Sorry, I was just really focused." He smiled.

"You don't have anything important to do for the next few days right?"

"Training, research, studying. I think master Yoda said he wanted to show me a new trick."

"So nothing new." She concluded. He shook his head as he took another bite of his fruit. "Boring." She teased.

"It's actually quite interesting. I think you'd like it if you actually gave it a shot."

"Maybe. But it's just not for me."

Luke shrugged.

"Anyways." She continued. "I've planned us a trip to Naboo. They have many fun things to do there that my father showed me when when I was younger." Her eyes lit up.

"But isn't that where mother is from." Luke asked.

"Yes... but thats not the entire reason we're going."

"Then tell me why are we?"

"Han says you need some time out of the house and Chewie agrees."

"I do get out of the hut every day." He argued.

"Yea, and do the same boring routine every day Luke. It's ok to have a life you know. You just destroyed the entire Empire. You need a break."

"I'm fine Leia." She could sense something behind his slightly annoyed tone.

"You can't fool me Luke. I know what your feeling. Some nights I wake up feeling it to. I'm not sure why, I guess it's a weird twin thing. Your dealing with a lot Luke." She put her arm around him. "You need some time to recover up here." She tapped his forehead. He let out a heavy sigh, fiddling with the fruit in his hands.

"When do we leave?"

"Now."

"Right now?!"

"No time like the present." She stood and patted him on the back. Meet me at the Falcon in thirty.

He quickly gathered his things and met her at the landing platform.

"Hey Kid, I want my ship returned in one peice." Han teased.

"You have my word, your ship will be just fine Han." Luke assured him. Chewie let out a roar.

"He said that if anything happens to the ship that he'll let the Ewoks roast you over the fire." Han translated.

"He's an ace pilot Chewie, your baby is in great care. Plus it's only a couple of days." Leia chuckled.

"Be safe and don't do anything I wouldn't do." Han advised.

"What use common sense?" Luke quipped. Han could only laugh.

Everyone said goodbye and the twins boarded the ship.

"While we're on our way to Naboo there is one place I've been dying to visit." Luke said putting in the coordinates.

"Where?" Leia asked.

"It's a surprise."

"Luke Skywalker, if you take us to some Sith planet full of temples and ghosts I will throw you into the cold vacuum of space!" She threatened.

"Trust me we will not be doing that again." He pressed the lever up and the bright mesmerizing streaks of hyperspace shone bright in-front of them.
